I've been to this shop a couple of times and each time it seems to get a little better --First things first; this place is on point aesthetics: simple white and blue motif throughout the entire shop, 'a place for everything and everything in it's place' kind of vibe (which is hard to upkeep when retail is such a touch-induced commerce). If this is your first go into learning the weed ropes, it might be a little awkward. But they really thrive on building a relationship with their customer-base, especially those who are weed-n00bs like myself. Every time I've gone in after, they've either recognized me or remembered what I purchased last time and we can create dialogue from there. If there is anything that the price truly reflects, it's the knowledge you're receiving. Sure, it's a little pricey -- but that's because they expect you to shop around and really find the strain that will be your best fit.I mean, their whole shtick is that they build your 'prescription' on what you're ultimately seeking from the high.Don't know much about their oils, edibles or pipes, but their flower game is pretty legit.Overall, I've been stopping in every two weeks or so for two months and I probably will be for the foreseeable future (unless I move from SE -- but that's not happening anytime soon). - The Novice Kid With A Vape PenShop Hacks:- please sign up for their rewards program, it's seriously totally worth it- if you like something you bought from them previously SAVE THE PLASTIC CANISTER! It'll be easier to find for them (or if they are out of stock, they'll find something similar) and they'll just reuse the canister so you don't have to keep wasting plastic! This shop is best for: neighborhood homies who stop in weekly, 'new kid in town' who doesn't really understand all the weed jargon, those who vapeNot so good for: tourists just tryin' to bust a weed nut for the day, veterans who know what they want and don't need their hand held
YOU MUST DO THIS! We have been stuck ay home in coronavirusville just like everyone else and decided to splurge on some choice products from Serra. It was so fast and simple to order online and within 1.5 hours of purchase BAM! DELIVERED to our door by a friendly Serra employee driving a SERRA Fiat. The packaging on all the products are almost as good as the products they sell. Talking about doing weed right, Serra certainly has done it. If you want the BEST products with the BEST service, you must shop SERRA....and you do not ever have to leave the house to do it. ORDER TODAY!
Stopped here with my boyfriend while visiting from LA, where recreational dispensaries are still pretty rare and entry lines wrap around the block, so right off the bat I was stoked to just walk right in.It has to be acknowledged that their aesthetic is next level, and everything inside from the lighting to the displays to the gold curtain separating the ATM struck me as super thoughtful, polished, and welcoming. But also their service was great! The employees were super laid back (I guess what else would you expect in a weed shop?) but eager to help us identify what we were looking to feel/avoid and offer suggestions. As someone who has had a pretty strong negative reaction to some strains, having the docent walk me through recommendations made all the difference and both of us walked out with exactly what we were looking for. Honestly wish I could go back all the time! Thanks guys. :)
As you likely know, there are many styles of dispensaries; those that look like little farm stores, some look homey and welcoming and some are like the staff have been sampling too much product. Serra is a beautifully designed shop that has very helpful & knowledgeable staff. They have an interesting array of product. Well worth the visit.
I had made a decision that I wasn't going to review dispensaries on Yelp. Serra is so rad that I had to make an exception. Less "pot shop" and more "Cannabis Lifestyle Boutique", Serra is a lovely shopping experience. If you're somebody that appreciates epically dialed-in branding and aesthetically pleasing shopping experiences, you need to visit Serra, regardless of your personal recreational habits. To get it out of the way: They have a large selection of cannabis, both recreational and medicinal. It's organized and displayed beautifully, with easy to read info on the characteristics of each unique strain. Plus, lots of fancypants magnifying glasses, if you want to get a REALLY close look at your buds. They also have an impressive array of edibles, oils, etc. The only bummer is that there's so much more available for medicinal than recreational. Of course, that's an industry challenge, nothing unique to Serra. The merch is where Serra truly stands out. They sell an outstanding selection of accessories and utensils, all expertly crafted and frankly gorgeous. They have some pipes and bongs that I wouldn't even want to use, they're so pretty. The rollers are gorgeously utilitarian, and they even have a small selection of functional jewelry. This store is curated impeccably well.Oh, they do sell live plants, if that's your jam. Serra is so much more than just a place to get your weed. This is a top-notch shopping experience. I'm super, super, impressed.
One of the best dispensary's in town very friendly staff beautiful shop. Always have really quality strains, my favorite is tangie biscotti
Having lived in Portland for awhile and knowing how liberal the banana belt is, I kind of saw something like dispensaries coming along. For those outside of the greater Portland metro area, it isn't really something to get into here. I am not going to say that I did or did not purchase anything from here. Nor will I divulge any personal information about my friend. A friend, knowing I wanted to experience it firsthand, they invited me to meet them here and come with them while they made their purchase. Walking in the front door into a room that can best be compared to the reception area of a medical facility, the gentleman at the counter checked our ID to verify our age and to be entered in their database. We had to wait because they were at capacity. Once a couple left, we were allowed in. There was another couple inside. Inside the actual dispensary was quite large, however, I get the feeling that they restrict the amount of people inside in order to maintain customer service and for security purposes. There were some display cases, display items and descriptions. I was impressed with the variety. There were accessories for purchase and some jewelry and a few items non-paraphanalia related. The staff members were well informed and fully answered all questions. I can not speak for the price point as I have never been to a dispensary before. The previous reviews mention a hipster vibe, and getting a feeling like the employees don't care. I can not really speak to that, as I have never been in a dispensary before. My friend, who lives in another part of the state could neither confirm or deny the accusations, as he has his regular spot where he lives. No credit cards are accepted, for the obvious reasons. They do not seem to have an ATM on site, so bring cash.It was all very neat, clean and a sanitary feeling just like a pharmacy. I am glad to have had an opportunity to see how this works, even if only for this location. I am impressed. This is not the dealer of the 80's or the 90's. Not that I would know. I don't know anything. What was the question? Who am I? Am I outside? How did I get outside?
Always lovely. The tenders are friendly and always let me know their favorites! I go back almost monthly. Especially for their happiness chocolates!
Best shop in town, hands down. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, Eve always takes good care of us and recommends exactly what I need. Thanks for curating such a rad spot!
Crappy crappy service from the girl with dyed hair EVERYtime I go in there. If you don't like customers you're in the wrong line of work. No help or salesmanship. They just point and shrug. Done with this place. There are better ones around. Too bad, too. The downtown location was super convenient. But not worth supporting a business who does not value their customers.
This is my favorite dispensary... the prices are a little steeper than some but the quality is superb!
My local - was sad to see the weird old bodega go but how could I be angry about that when this is what replaced it. The standard to judge all others by.
Probably the highest end shop in town. Definitely a luxury cannabis experience. It's Incredibly nice inside and the staff made me feel completely welcome and helped me understand the millions of things I don't know about cannabis. An employee named (I want to say Evan), took his time and walked me around the store explaining everything - even though there were a ton of other customers in the store. I will definitely be back. Great experience!
love this dispensary! i wouldnt describe myself as a weed connoisseur, but have been smoking for about 13 years. the variety they have here is outstanding, but the main reason is the staff. they are all so welcoming and don't think they're the shit like most dispensary's i've been to! will be going here as long as i'm in pdx!
Wack. Took forever to check in. The salesman was pretentious. The price was expensive. Ten bucks for a half gram pre-roll. Terrible experience overall.
THOSE AESTHETICS THOUGH.But really--Staff is great. Super helpful without being pushy, and so knowledgeable. Very patient with questions, take the time to find exactly what works with what you're going for. And attentive; they track what you want as you move around the store and have it waiting at checkout, since everything in the store is display. AND my friend ran out of cash for a pin, and they gave it for a discount. Such a nice friendly touch! Felt like being helped by old friends then leaving with total confidence with what you purchased. When I explained what I was looking for, I had a strain in mind but they recommended something less expensive. Thought that was cool, they aren't price oriented, they want the customers to have a good time. Will definitely be back!
This place is fancy. The staff is a little stuffy but mostly friendly. They seem to have a hard time keeping CBD-rich vape cartridges in stock, and not all cartridges are created equal. I don't like smoking, so vaping is where it's at for me. They seem to have a pretty good flower selection, though, if that's what you're looking for. They also have a lot of edibles and drinkables for those who want that route to bliss.
What a ripoff this place is! They charged me $70 for THC lotion, and I found it at Chalice for $24. Don't throw your money away here!
Excellent customer service! They treat you to a delightful shopping adventure, as simple or complex as you'd like. They're known for their brilliant branding and artistic, charming stores. Highly recommended.
Beautifully decorated dispensary with a variety for any & everyone. I came here on a whim with some friends & was not disappointed. They have your typical merch that dispensaries sell but what really stood out to me was their jewelry. They have earrings that are tweezers so you can smoke every roach & even have cool necklaces for your dab set up. So dope! I will have to check if their online store has more since they only had a few things in stock. I also really liked the inconspicuous pipes / pieces they had displayed in there. One looked like a blue smooth stone & the other a gem / diamond. Super cool. They had an extensive pre-roll list that details everything & you can pick depending on your mood. They have some specials on them when I was there but I'm not sure if that's their usual special. Walked out buying pre-rolls & got a Quality Drugs Tee & pin for my hubby. I will be back next time I'm in town. Service was great but my friends took a long ass time in there looking at everything so they seemed like they wanted us to hurry & GTFO. I would definitely come back but wished they had more of their jewelry as that really stood out to me!
Love this Belmont neighborhood cannabis retail outlet w very cool design, people, music, and info - not to mention the herb :)
Serra is great! the 2:1 CBD/THC chocolates are a total life saver and the staff is always so helpful and fun, I always end up hanging out and chatting. Beautiful, clean uplifting vibes in there and lots of options!
This place has great weed. Really, the herb is great and the staff is good. The herb is wonderful. This place also has a great staff, ...for the most part. The real bummer about this place, is that the vibe totally sucks. The vibe is just a gosh forsaken shit-prison. From the outside, it's a very pretty building, and for moms from lake Oswego, who like hipster-esc new-age businesses, perhaps it's good for them. No judgement! These folks here just really have a upper-class audience in mind...And it's working. The staff is totally like hipster used car sales-men/women, they won't remember your name no matter how many times you have been in, and are sorta like this weird thing resembling "friendly", but like you can also go fuck yourself...but not like a bar and not like a cafe... Also it's really loud in the shop - due to the glass and pharmacy / jewelry-store environment - it's frankly anxiety attack inducing, which is a super bummer. They have kinda curated this cute jewelry store vibe and if that's the vibe you like - cool. But for me, this is too impersonal. I don't feel respected, or cared for at Nordstrom, so why should I be here? Honestly, I find this place totally phony, uptight and pretty uber-bourgeoisie and a VERY LOUD, VERY BRIGHT... An uncomfortable zone of full of negativity and bummer-vibes. Sometimes their website is up to date, sometimes not. Also I dunno about the farms they get their bud from, but many, I have not been impressed with. A few I have, but not all...People want weed that makes them feel good, not a bunch of stems that are cranked full of thc ~ and cause anxiety, bad farming =bad high. I'm just saying a weed dispensary should not feel like an Mac-store. ~Shivers~
Aesthetics are on-par with an apple store. Kayla and the team are very knowledgable and attend carefully to your needs or vices. Their king rollers are a work of art. Chocolate buttons a nice touch too. Stoked to have this place as my local. 5+ stars
This dispensary is so cute and only a few blocks from me! I want to love it so bad, but every time I go in they are out of stock of whatever I came in for... Edibles, tincture, or cartridges, they're always out of stock. I have left with nothing probably four or five times, and a few times settled for something I didn't really want. Today I called ahead even, and they said they had what I needed, and five minutes later I walked in and surprise surprise they didn't. I want to love it, but unfortunately I won't be back. Tetra up the road isn't as close to me, but has comparable prices, and everything is usually in stock. It sucks to have to write a bad review of a cute shop with nice staff, but not as much as it sucks to leave a dispensary with nothing, or with something you're not happy with because they never have what you came in for.
Long time customer. Never again. I got accused of trying to pull a "fast one" when returning a faulty cartridge. Employees are garbage. Product is overpriced. Service has gone to hell. I will never shop here again especially when a company can't stand behind its products and makes customers feel like crap. Never again.
Serra is ahead of its time...in a good way... for cannabis. Perhaps the worlds finest selection of products.
Decided to check this place out on recommendation from a friend that touted its reputation in the community. Visited close to closing time and staff was attentive and explained a lot of product and was not pushy despite the late hour. Shop was very clean and displays were nice. Recommend if you are looking for an area.
Had to review here because I noticed someone else had a very similar experience to mine. They up-sold me on a $60 oil cartridge and it was faulty. When I brought it in they refused to return it for me and even went as far as assuming I was trying to do something shady. No one has time for this.. There are so many dispensaries who would be happy to replace my cartridge and keep their loyal customer. Now I have a full cartridge sitting in my house unused.. Never returning here.
Went in this past weekend to swap out a faulty battery (that has a lifetime warranty), and I will never step foot or spend a single dollar in this dispensary ever again. Woman checking ID's was incredibly rude (as always), not a single staff member approached me or even acknowledged I was in there, and when I finally approached one to discuss the faulty battery that they had sold me, I was met with rolling eyes and a "can this day just be over already?" attitude. My discussion with the employee who was "helping" me out resulted in him accusing me that the battery is faulty because of me and how I use it, when in fact the battery hadn't worked correctly since the day I purchased it, nor did it work for 5 different types of cartridges (all different brands). After about 15 minutes of talking about why the battery was faulty, he finally gave me a new one. I see I'm not alone in my experience here, and for those wondering "Should I give this place a try?" should honestly go ANYWHERE else in the city.
Just include tax already! It just makes you feel like you're paying more than most shops and you pretty much are. I did notice you have cheaper grams now and that's nice. I'd like to see more smaller local farms (living soil and mold free) and less of the big trendy names. Variety is good and it's fun trying new things. 7 point is the best farm you carry. Bull Run is #2 and the rest are just medium quality. Tim is the most helpful employee he's super nice! The building on Belmont is beautiful.
Quality ServiceQuality ProductNice AtmosphereGreat LocationIf you anyone is on the fence about trying out this place, DO IT!The best dispensary in Portland IMO.
Unless the prices don't include tax, unlike every other dispensary, the employee ripped me off. I should have said something, but was told the price was almost $10 more than the listed price. He was also pushy and ignored what I asked for
This is the *cutest*, friendliest shop you'll ever go in! The staff are very knowledgable and patient, and when I first started going to Serra I would literally be there for up to an hour just asking questions about strains, sources, effects, etc. I go maybe once a week, and have never had a bad experience! Their weed is top quality, the shop is delightfully designed -- I can't say enough good things about it!
I live in the area and I'll be glad to say that this is one of the best dispensaries in the lower SE part of town. Good customer service great bud at a low price and also great bud at top shelf price too. Haven't been disappointed yet.
The staff is WONDERFUL and the selection is awesome. Aesthetic on point. Seriously cannot recommend enough. Best dispensary in PDX.
I use Serra exclusively as they carry the items that I use. Specifically the cartridges and flower. They are very helpful, courteous, and their rewards program has saved me money. It is a clean and bright establishment very modern appearance. GAA
I appreciate the well-lit displays, the variety of products available, as well as, the helpful staff.
Friendly staff and very informative/helpful
I'm very much a newbie to cannabis in any form. I've been grateful since it was legalized to try it as a way to complement traditional medications and 'self-medicating' with alcohol to deal with some of my anxiety and anger issues. Serra is *perfect* for me in that having experimented and knowing that I need a particular THC/CBD mix, they've made it incredibly easy for me to decide on what to get. There's an incredibly helpful lightboard on the wall with various strains and how they're expected to make you feel, with the percentages of THC and CBD and the cost. I couldn't ask for more! And yet, there's more! The environment is inviting and feels very professional. Other reviewers have mentioned that it's classy- there are loads of plants, yet it feels uncluttered. Everything is well lit, the staff are professional and knowledgable, and the quality of the product that I bought was sublime. Highly recommended, especially if you're wanting to obtain a particular result but don't have a history of using cannabis. Being able to say, "I want to feel how I do after a couple of glasses of wine, and also I only feel any cannabis effects when I have it as an edible, so I know I'll be waiting 90 minutes for the effects," and a staff member can respond, "Here's what I'd recommend, and why." I'll be returning to Serra again and again.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Small but well selected selection. I bought a battery for a vape pen that had a lifetime warranty, when mine had problems they exchanged it no problem. Even got a slightly higher priced one for no extra charge since they were out of the one I had bought.
Serra is a great example of why WA is way ahead of CO and all the other states when it comes to price, selection, and quality. The staff are friendly and well informed. The prices are competitive, and the overall experience is just what you'd want!
One of my favorite dispensary's! I just started going to Serra and I will coming back often. The atmosphere along with the employees and prime quality products makes this one of my top places!
Always a quality experience at Serra. Knowledgeable and considerate staff. Top of the line product.
I was offended by the size of buds they gave me. It truly reminded me of the bags I bought back in high school. Quality was decent but I received nothing but pea-sized nugs. I don't even smoke my homegrown nugs that are that size, I save them for oil. GO TO TETRA!!! They give top shelf, large, respectable nugs that one would expect.
Love this dispensary..best one in Portland. Great customer service, beautiful interior and consumer experience.
This place is fantastic. I'm from Seattle, where we of course have access to all sorts of flower, concentrates, and edibles, but Serra is one of my absolute favorite places. Whenever we're in Portland we always come thru and grab a few things for the time there and more to take back to Seattle. The edibles in particular are exceptional; incredibly delicious and perfectly potent. My girlfriend likes the gummies so much I literally drove 6 hours round-trip to surprise her with a haul of the special edition Matcha Green Tea gummies for her birthday. Great customer service as well!
Suuuuuuper aesthetically pleasing and cute. I've never been to a dispensary that put so much effort into its interior design. I would highly recommend this place to any "aesthetics" enthusiast, even if you're not a weed enthusiast. The options and pricing however aren't as great. I personally thought it was kind of overpriced, as I have gotten a pack of gummies of 300mg total for $5 before, but these were way past that price. 10/10 recommend to just see the place. 5/10 for any purchases.
I gave them one more chance, but their customer service and prices are awful. The atmosphere and attitudes are total white male privilege. They don't carry popular products and they answer your questions with a question. Plus they are corporate owned Prüf. Stay away
Something's a bit too on point and focus-groupy about this place, it gives me the creeps.
Super coolest dispensary in Portland! I'm not a 420 person although I have smoked before in my younger years but don't tell anyone!! The budtender was awesome. She suggested a pen so I bought it. Now I can write!! This is a very friendly place and I high...ly recommend it!!
Love this dispensary. EVERYTHING I've gotten is high quality! I can't say that about any other dispensary.Edibles, flower, concentrates they've got it all. And the interior feels good. The people are knowledgeable and helpful.
selection is great...i luv they carry Pruf cultivar and Dechutes growery flower...
Serra has become my favorite dispensary! The staff is very chill, the store is beautiful, the displays look great and the high quality products appear to be carefully selected. They also offer professional delivery - Serra provides a vehicle for the staff to deliver in. Many other dispensaries force the staff to use their own cars. I recommend Serra to everyone in the neighborhood!
Classy as hell. Gold bling everywhere. Very clean, highly knowledgeable staff, and always a decent selection.
Quality of weed here has taken a dive. It smokes beautifully, but never gets you high. Too designer.
Really cute little shop with quality products. The owner was so kind and helpful. And the prices are really good. Stop here to have a lifted day :)
Serra is an experiential cannabis lifestyle brand and curated retail space that rethinks, redefines and sets the bar for progressive pot culture. This Modern Druggist has two dispensary locations in Portland providing the very best recreational marijuana shopping experience and selection of flower, edibles, topicals, concentrates and lifestyle accessories. Serra’s goal has always been to set a new standard for modern cannabis culture, pushing aside the stoner vibe in exchange for something more artful and sophisticated.
