I just want to say what a great experience, my 1st time trying this delivery service, and I am glad I did. I was visiting from Michigan and didn't really want to travel around and found smartweed in Weed Maps.1st when placing y order they made it easy by actually having people that know their products, but the real reason they are getting 5 stars from me other than the stuff was great quality, I do mean really really good..  ;-) their delivery guy Spence I think his name was, he was really nice and professional. I don't know what I was expecting but he made this experience one I would definitely order for delivery again.Tammy S.

Smart weed?? More like SCAM weed. I came in 7/18/21 around 1:30p to buy a big chief which comes around to 25.40, I had exactly $40.00 gave them two 20s and in return they gave me my big chief a pre-roll and $2.00 for my change...I was expecting about 14.00. I'm not even a first time patient and they gave me a pre-roll. These people tried scamming me, specifically the light skin black dude. The Hispanic "manager" tried covering for this dude but they straight tried scamming me/over charging me for a big chief cart. Y'all still had the nerves to throw a pre-roll in my bag, cheap fucks. Don't buy from these expensive scamming people, It's LA. There's better weed shops else where

This second visit mirrored the first visit's check-in process, but the friendly face of Tyler, in response to covid19, is covered.     Tyler answered every single question I had about an exciting raffle going on; I did eagerly decide to participate.     The brand I once worked for as part of a veteran internship, THC Design, wasn't participating sadly.     Andrew and a young woman around the register helped me tremendously finding a favorite of mine, XJ13 pre-rolls from THC Design, a Rove cartridge, and some Bloom Flower for friends to burn...     To burn...     ...As I write this review, following a brief phone call to the nicest voice I could have hoped for, Ruby, who quickly offered the young man's name who so diligently and patiently offer me Smartweed's exceptional brand of customer service...     Six Los Angeles Police Department vehicles speed past my apartment. Sirens howling...     ...Likely, to meet protesters.     I beg to ask Tyler, Ruby, Andrew, every employee, manager, and owner part of the revolution, like it or not, the question...will you take action to equip Law Enforcement Officers, who are my veteran brothers and sisters...and protesters...my brothers and sisters, with cannabis?     Crazy, you say. Why you may ask. Cannabis is the one thing most Americans can agree on...     In a survey, more Americans like ice cream more than apple pie.     Some 91% of Americans agree with cannabis in some form.     91%.     There have been reports that suggest the compounds THC improves mental health and CBD reduces inflammation, helping Americans across the country combat the Covid19 virus and a relief to the isolation it imposes.     Taking a knee is a gesture so many government officials, to include Mayor Garcetti, understand, at the very least...acknowledges the problem...but, now what?     Protesters and Law Enforcement don't trust each other.     The story of disproportion is not absent in the cannabis industry.     Us...Californians.     Us...Los Angelenos.     Black, Brown, Yellow, Red people were cleared from the competitive field by law enforcement agencies armed with "The War on Drugs"...to make way for wh*te Americans disproportionate representation, in what is now considered an "essential" industry.     At this very moment, our fellow countrymen and women languish in what we laughably call "rehabilitation". These actions lead to mass incarceration and mass supervision.     I, myself, after serving a combat tour in Iraq, came home with trauma, only to be criminalized, and made into a second class citizen, whom may not consume cannabis legally in the state of California, even for medical purposes...still choosing to represent America's veterans proudly in Spike Jonze's short film with MedMen, "The New Normal", but I've yet to be normalized.     O'...The irony.     ...The very word Marijuana:      "...An Americanism for the Mexican Spanish marihuana or mariguana, which is associated with the personal name María Juana."     "The first bill criminalizing the cultivation of "locoweed" was passed in California. The bill was a major push from the Board of Pharmacy as a way to regulate opiates and psychoactive pharmaceuticals, and seemingly did not stem from the "reefer madness" or racialized understanding of "marijuana" that paved the way to full-on prohibition in the 1930s."    I purpose a parley, a ceasefire, a conversation...these are the terms:     1. City and State officials work in partnership with cannabis industry leaders and small businesses, utilizing a portion of police budgets to support local essential businesses, dedicated to equipping law enforcement with cannabis; the baking soda, not water this greasy fire requires.     2. At Town Hall meetings to discuss Universal Basic Income, to discuss officer hiring practices, procedures, education, community building!     ...You have to listen if you won't burn one with us.     Blunts build trust.     No blunt. Just stopped by there to get a quick pen. I had a small wait because of my ID but they were super chill about it and hooked me up with a free pre-roll. Polite staff, dope store, y'all killing it! Shots out to the cutie Macy. Not sure about the spelling.

Unreliable delivery service. Made the order, it was cancelled 30 minutes later without explanation nor a phone call (this was three hours prior to closing time, well within the same-day delivery ordering window). When the place first opened the staff were super friendly, but now especially after COVID no one goes out of the way to help, even though they still expect tips. Time to switch dispensaries.

This place claims to accept credit cards based off Yelp but it does not. They only accept debit cards. They won't even accept Apple Pay or Apple wallet debit card?!

The driver on july 5th late at night was outstanding!!!!! She was so patient with me and I freaking love her positive attitude!!!! She is the best!!!!!

I had just bought my first vape and some flower but rookie move, forgot to buy a grinder.  I was walking by Smartweed tonight with some time to kill and went into buy a grinder.  They don't sell grinders but one of the best employees there offered to give me one of hers out of her car!  Who says LA is a bad town?  It's an amazing place as long as people like Renee keep doing their thing!

It used to be good when I first started going there a year ago but it's over priced. I spent $150 for half a ounce. And my nugs were extremely dry. Won't be going there anymore

I've been shopping with Smartweed for about a year now and I appreciate how kind and welcoming the budtenders are! The weed is super dank and affordable too. I've recommended some of my family members to Smartweed and they freaking love it here too!

Horrible. i was never denied entry because I carry a work permit instead of a driver's license until today. The place looks like a prision inside and the guard was so unfriendly. Never coming back. Kinda racist if we want to get political

Super long hall when getting there feels like you're in a movie lol..Anyway there's a ton of selection on herbs going for 25 and up on 8ths The budtenders are really helpful and always attentive lol definitely coming back! There is also vape stuff for those who do not smoke flower:]

ive been going here for about 6 months now, the prices are decent and everyones nice enough. theyll answer questions and help you out. during covid the security guys never have their masks over their nose but the staff is usually pretty good. ive only see a few who have issues keeping their nose under fabric and now i just always wear a filtered mask when i go in. the reason im giving 2 stars instead of 4: i think they pocket the atm fee paying with debit:/ when i first started going and paying with card they would charge a $3 fee and give it back in cash. i would usually drop it in the tip jar, but as time went on i noticed the fee on the receipt stayed the same but i sometimes received $2- and then $1. the most recent time i went, the cashier said nothing and i didnt get any cash back.if that is the new protocol then i would love some transparency, but considering how inconsistent it is, i cant trust it to be policy. ive been considering trying some new places, ill probably be back but i know its not the best and ill start bringing cash

First time here, very welcoming. Music and vibes were fire(great). Huge selection too. Will definitely come back when it isn't last day.

Insane customer service, even during COVID. They recently had an amazing Kobe birthday celebration with amazing sliders to snack on after getting my medicine. I will definitely be looking forward to my next visit. Might even try out delivery soon. Thanks again for the fun day.

Menus are never updated. Not on Weedmaps or their website. They have a number to text to confirm that items are in stock but nobody ever responds. Pickup orders mean nothing. Several times they have confirmed my order for pickup just to arrive and find out they are out of stock of everything I ordered. Last time they confirmed my order via text and cancelled it while I was standing in line. Don't waste your time here.

Great spot in the area with lots of options.. horrible horrible delivery service! Customer service on the phone acts super nice and lies the entire time Never and I mean NEVER again. It's better for you all use a real delivery if that's the case. This place should completely shut the fuck down on the delivery aspect.

This was the first delivery where I had to go all the way downstairs and outside in my pajamas. I finally found my delivery guy in his car that was running and parked outside my building, I heard a man calling my name (I believe his name was Jay) so I went to his window and he handed me my order.I was really disappointed that I didn't get any goodies with my 1rst time purchase as advertised.I hate leaving bad reviews and I rarely ever do, but I was really bummed out and disappointed...

Come check out Smartweed when you get a chance! They just opened on Western Ave. Super chill atmosphere and awesome menu. Heavy Hitters has been there since the first day I came in. LOVE their disposables and 1gs. I also tried out their battery recently and it works on all brands I've tried! Very upbeat shop, can't wait until their shelves are even more full. Keep it up Smartweed!

I give this place 5 stars the moment I walked into this establishment I knew I made the right choice! They had so many new strains to choose from and everyone was so friendly and professional. They were also extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what I type of medicine I was looking for. I was very impressed with how good of a deal it was as well usually when bud is this high quality I would be paying way more but not this place! Do yourself a favor and go to smart weed today such a great experience I will see you guys soon.

This is the best place in hollywood. Its safe, clean and the staff are amazing. I was kind of new to the cbd and weed world when i first came here and the lady working was very patient. They mademe feel super comfortable abour my purchases. Ive gone a couple other places but now I just come here because  the service is the best.

Ladies do not come here if you don't want to get sexually harrassed by the security guard (armenian one who is usually there). He makes this dispensary an unsafe place for women by asking for their number and then begging them for nude photos. If you don't respond to him he will blow you up. If you block him, the next time you go in there he will ask for your number again. He would send me pictures of what products he stole from the store so that he could give them to me to try to get me to sleep with him. He's fucking pathetic and disgusting. And the worst part he IS MARRIED!!!! As a woman I will not be returning to this dispensary and I don't think that any other woman should due to sexual harassment.

The staff is amazing, and always super friendly.  They always have deals going on, and are great about informing you about them (which some places don't always do). This is the only place I come for my weed needs anymore!  Shoutout to sky for always going above and beyond for us!

Visited for the first time today... it's a bit overpriced compared to the four other shops in a two block radius. The store is neat and clean, and the customer service isn't horrible. Only draw back really is the dude that was helping me made a suggestion and after spending $50+ I get home only to realize he gave me the wrong one. Kinda irritating cause he hyped it up and i didn't get it, even though I asked for it. Probably won't visit again unless it's the only option.

This was my second trip to Swartweed, which I wandered into due to convenience while I happened to be popping in and out of shops on Western Ave.  the first trip a few months back I was super new to legal weed just having moved to LA.  The girl who had massive dreadlocks was so sweet and helpful.  Today I stopped in and had a few questions about vape pens and blends and I could not believe how rude the floor employee was to my boyfriend and I.  I accidentally cut her off with a question unintentionally and she snapped back at me.  She failed to answer pretty much all my questions and made me feel like an idiot. I'm still so new to this and at so many other dispensaries the people are usually so accommodating  and helpful, wanting to make sure your personal concerns are being met -- as someone who has been attempting to use cannabis to aid my anxiety and chronic pain I appreciate the way most really commit to helping you explore and find what works best for you.  Long story short, the place looks put together and all shiny in glass cases but the prices are extremely over the top, I noticed products I've bought elsewhere $20+ more here!  The girl at checkout, Renee, was so kind and personable- yay for Renee! I don't like writing bad reviews but black top crop girl, not sure if you're having a bad day or you look down on customers with questions/lack of experience but cmon. This is customer service.  I most likely will not be returning.  One plus: there was a buy one get one 1/2 off on the vapes and a big list of blends over the counter.

The only upside was the friendly customer service. Price and quantity are wack. $22 for a bag of gummies that costs $18 in other LA stores. I only went cuz it was closer to home but probably will not return.

Awful! I went home and opened my bag only to find not just the contents of marijuana I had purchased but it seemed they put a joint in my bag as well. I am a first comer see, and I can't help feel they were trying to frame me for theft. I am writing this as I am home now from just returning from my venture to rejoin said stolen property- Nice try. I placed the joint by the door. Never coming back!

I have been a Smartweed customer for about a year. I almost exclusively have my orders delivered, but I have been to the shop a few times when I was out and about.   I am in my forties and not at all well versed in things marijuana. Where I come from, you get a couple of varieties of weed in baggies. Maybe a joint tucked in your pocket by a well meaning friend. So, all the different strains and concentrates and edibles and pre-rolls, were totally overwhelming. I mean really...budder, batter, sugar, crumble, shatter. I just want to get high and go to sleep without waking up with panic attacks or get stoned and clean my house. I didn't  know the first thing about dosage or concentrate or funky flower.  Wtf is a middle aged lady to do?!?The staff at Smartweed is always so helpful when it comes to figuring out what you like and what the right dosage is for you. Even if you're just texting, they are always patient and give you lots of great recommendations (if asked). The first time I tried sublingual oil (from a different source), I overdosed myself to the point I was high for over 36 hours. I couldn't drive to work. It was bad. Smartweed staff makes much better recommendations! And unlike some places, even if you're getting delivery, they make sure you get all applicable discounts. They regularly save me 20% or throw in a free sample or two. It's great service. (In Louisiana, those little surprise extras are called lagniappe.)On the delivery side, I appreciate the service. They don't make you wait hours and hours or even days to receive your order. It usually only takes an hour or two before I get the call or text from the delivery driver. I can't speak highly enough about their drivers. I get everything delivered. Especially since the pandemic. And once every week or so, I get an order from Smartweed. All of their drivers are super friendly and kind. And so accommodating. At first, I didn't understand why I couldn't get delivery to my front door, but after thinking about it, it makes sense that they can't leave their other orders in the car while delivering yours. It's not like delivering food...a little more dangerous. There is a big homeless presence in front of my building and I always ask the driver to pull around to the side so it is a little safer and more private for me. They always comply without a problem. The transaction at the car is fast and professional. They are always masked and gloved.  (Don't forget to have the driver add a tip to your total if you're not paying with cash!) The last thing I'll mention about their delivery drivers is that they always wait until I get back inside my security gate before pulling away. Now, I can't be certain if that's because it takes them a minute to do their paperwork and get ready for their next delivery or if they're really watching for safety. But I like to think it may be a bit of both. It does make me feel more secure when ordering hundreds of dollars of weed, intentional or not. Anyway, it's a cool place. And they never make middle aged ladies feel out of their depth. I don't write many reviews, but this place has kept me sane over the last year. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
