What a true gem! My 2 favorite things in 1 place! Hoops and bud. Anyhow, this is my favorite dispo I've ever been to, anywhere. Great prices and excellent thc products. Staff was so helpful and chill. And believe it or not Mr. Kemp himself was there. I love this place. And for the cherry on top, they had NBA jam arcade machines for free play. 90's classic!

Coolest new dispensary in Seattle! Tons of selections to choose from and everyone is super helpful. Really big spot with glass goods as well. What a fun experience! Will definitely be back with my friends =)

Ever since I turned 21 (a week ago) I've been coming to Shawn Kemp's everyday. I've gotten the best customer service, and every single time I get more and more comfortable This morning was very bad for me. Had an argument and was just all over the place with my emotions. Came into Kemp's and was greeted with LOVE from the ID/Temp check to checking out.The woman who helped me with my selection was Lex, she is an angel in disguise  I probably took up about half and hour of her time, but she NEVER made me feel like I was annoying or asking too many questions or rushing me. She had those awesome stoner mom vibes She was really able to make me smile . She was SO freaking educated on every strain and brand I asked about, it was unreal  We laughed and made jokes... it didn't feel like I was at a your usual dispensary this felt different, like I was apart of the team  I know, corny but seriously! The employees at Kemp's that I've encountered are amazing and always smiling and I look forward to seeing them and hearing their recommendations I will NOT stop coming to Kemp's, even when other dispensaries have sales

My dude loves this place he has to make a special trip when he gets to Seattle Desmoines is a long ways home! I hear nothing but good things ! The Aroma is sweet! Scrumcioius ! Is how it looks

The shop is huge and it's crazy how nice they've remodeled it since it was last a consignment shop. Prices are great. I assumed they would be marked up super high due to the location but it's totally reasonable.  My biggest complaint is that there is always TONS of trash all over their parking lot and in the street spots beside the building as well as in front on the side walk that never used to be there, that they haven't taken anywhere near the same level of pride in as they have their new store.  I feel like they have a certain level of responsibility to the neighborhood to clean up around their shop and they just really aren't doing so at all. I hope they catch on soon because their customers have trashed outside the store, and when I used to frequent the thrift shop that used to be here, it never looked like this outside. It's a mess.

After checking in to my hotel this was our first official vacation stop! We really enjoyed the product selections and prices. In our excitement we overlooked that there is no way to use a credit or debit card in store. That didn't stop us, they offer arrowpay as well as online ordering.There is an ATM in the store. We visited several more times during our trip to get flower, pre-rolls and edibles. If you're thinking about going...JUST GO!!

Had an amazing experience at Shawn Kemp's Cannabis. Our bud tender Abby was AMAZING! I am so glad she was the one to help us out because she made this whole experience awesome! This is what happy employees look like! I'm sad that LA doesn't have more shops like this. Can't wait to go back before I leave Seattle

The place to go for all your THC needs! Loved the staff- especially Ty - and everyone was knowledgeable and helpful!

Bumped into this gem while adventuring around town. When you walk in you're greeted right away by a nice gentleman who checked your temperature and ID. Upon verifying your temperature and age he asks if this was our first time and proceeds to explain how they operate. As we walked around looking at all the products they had to offer, we were approached by a few sales associates who asked if we had any questions and let us know if we needed anything to let them know. When we were ready we were assisted by Jillian! She was awesome! I expressed to her that I wasted a cartridge that had no extra crap and was as pure as it can get. She gave me her suggestions and let me tell you i love the product she recommended.

I had a great experience here last month!!The owner, NBA LEGEND Shawn Kemp took pictures with me and my autistic son and gave me an autograph. We were only in Seattle for a 1 day layover on our way to Yellowstone. The weed mints I got at this place really helped me on my plane ride to Billings, Montana given the amount of turbulence LOL

We made our first trip up to Seattle from California for my birthday a few weeks ago and of course I had to track down some nice bud. I am also a huge NBA fan, so naturally when I saw The Reign Man himself Shawn Kemp opened up a dispensary in Seattle it was a no brainer for me! Not only did they have a huge selection of everything from flower to prerolls to any concentrates you might want along with some nice glass products all at great prices by the way, but the Big Dog himself was actually just at the spot, interacting with the people, super chill! I grabbed a good variety of prerolls and a few different strains of flower but hands down the best thing was the recommendation from Kemp himself, some nice full gram prerolled BLUNTS with some old school Cat Piss in it. Chatted with him for a couple minutes about how to get the Sonics back in the NBA and how cool it is that he got into the cannabis industry in the same area that made him such a star. This was definitely the HIGHlight of my first trip to Seattle and to any of my fellow ganja toking travelers, you MUST stop in and check this spot out. Very cool, VERY unique! Big ups REIGN MAN, keep it up man!

They can't take any sort of suggestion or criticism. They keep a binder with pictures of customers (they will find your Fb and take pics from it - stalker ish????) Who leave less than stellar reviews and then trespass them from coming back. Product is old and dry. Pick up system is inefficient and slow. Staff is ignorant of the product they sell. Tran, the "manager/Co owner" (LOL) isn't qualified to be cleaning feces off a sidewalk, let alone interacting with the public or setting store policy. Save your money for somewhere that values it - this ain't the place

Super cool spot. came in late past 11 and the spot was easy to find, decorated and well lit up. it was easy to get my id checked and let in and a staff member was able to help me get what i wanted super fast, shout out to King

Great new spot in downtown Seattle. Prices are so good that I'm now mad at my old spot for extorting me. Very friendly staff and I have received especially helpful service from Tyler-Ryan at the door. I am giving five stars for prices and customer service, but I do think they need to refine their purchasing system a bit. Weird where you give your budtender your money and then retrieve your order and change in the adjoining room. I have seen this system in CA, but at most places in WA it's a more convenient one-step process. Anyway, just a small kink at a great new place.

Vibes are great, the place feels hella spacious and clean.  Customer service was really nice and helpful.  I came in for high CBD gummies and they have a decent selection!  Love that this is a Black-owned business as well

Awesome place and great vibe. King is an excellent host and makes you feel welcomed. Great selections here as well. Lu Lu was very knowledgeable and helpful with the different products they offer

Surprised this place has been open for a couple days with all the fanfare and nobody bothered to create a listing here. Suffice, to say, this dispensary is probably going to be at the top destination for tourists. If you're an old Sonics fan, this is worth going for the walk down memory lane. The team here is also pretty helpful, but the operations the opening weekend are probably not going to last with people walking around like you're about to buy a smart phone. The traditional Washington sales model will probably end up being the norm here. The crowd outside seemed to all be there for the hoopla, but given the location, I'd expect this place to stay busy despite the pandemonium. Prices are pretty comparable to any other location, so like the pizza market in Seattle before it, you can pretty much get something to make you as happy here as you could any other dispensary. Love the colors, but this location lends itself to visitors, so if you are here from out of town, this will probably be right up your alley.

First of all, talk about organized. Super efficient check in/check out system. I've shopped at cannabis stores all over Seattle and this is 100% my new favorite. The door guys are always so friendly and welcoming and the prices are somehow way cheaper than every other shop? Idk how, but I'll take it. Definitely recommend The staff working on the night of 12/14 were SOOO friendly

Absolutely great deals here, but they don't seem to have their ordering process streamlined. I did an online order yesterday at work, then stopped by last night around 9pm. The plentiful staff on the floor were happy and helpful to direct me to the other room where I can obtain my order. I waited for about 5-10 minutes for two or three other online orders to be sold to people ahead of me in line. Once I reach the one and only budtender available that's obviously busting his ass to service each patron, he brings out my order from a back room in a white bag and asks for the total of $104. I ask to see the products first, as I was second -guessing buying one item I wasn't familiar with, then ask if I can remove that one $9 item from my order. The nice guy said sure and swiftly turned around and took all of the items into a back room for about 2-3 minutes more. He emerges for a third time and tells me that I owe $95, as expected. This is where I nearly had an anxiety attack. I hand the gentleman $100 and say "keep the change" as this process is taking much longer than I had ever anticipated or experienced elsewhere. He then takes my money AND TAKES THE PRODUCTS WITH HIM INTO THE BACK ROOM. So now I'm waiting for another 2-3 minutes while he comes back for a fourth time empty handed. I ask, "Did I do something wrong?" as I wonder where my products went.to which he replied, "They're just cashing you out" to which I thought, ("Who's they? Why do I need to be here for that if I told you to keep the change? Shouldn't you be able to strike the bills with a counterfeit checker and wave bye to me immediately?") Considering I used to work in the medical & recreational marijuana industry here in Washington for ten years, I feel well versed in how this process is supposed to take place.However, I stayed quiet to be polite as an anxiety attack was building up inside of me because of a personal mental condition I have. Finally, for a third time my white paper bag appeared on the windowsill of the pickup window. Low and behold, while I was waiting to be "cashed out", other, new customers now had the sole budtender's attention. Again, not wanting to be rude, I didn't want to interrupt the new transaction that's beginning in front of me. Finally once he finishes his conversation with the new customer, the budtender turns around and grabs my change and my bag and hands them to me. I tell him once more to keep the change. Typically anywhere else, this process takes me 1-3 minutes to pay for an online order. Last night it took me a little over 20 minutes after entering the store. I appreciate all the production value and decoration, but this store needs to realize that they can't re-invent the wheel.  I look forward to watching this store streamline their processes, but I simply don't have the time to wait around for the new guy on the block to figure out how everything works. I'll be back in a few months to see how things have changed, and I hope great things happen because I absolutely love the homage to the Supersonics (as a native being named after Gary Payton) and the location, as it works with my commute.

Best dispensary in Seattle.   Friendly staff, affordable prices and quality products.   Definitely recommend.

Easily one of the top dispensaries I've been to. Great customer service, great selection, and Shawn is often in the shop!

This is the greatest dispensary in the Seattle area if not the state. I have only been the one other that is set up this way in the state it is also awesome but I'm not mentioning them now cuz this review is not about them. This store has the widest selection of everything cannabis it's wonderful! It also has the best prices around from very low end to very top end it's still the best prices around. The only reason I rate for stars instead of five stars is because they are not medically endorsed. What that means to those of you that don't know I cannot buy my legal limit their. I can only buy the limit that everyone else is allowed to buy. This is only an issue because I drive a distance to get to the store and you have the best prices on oil around and I would like to buy all 21 grams at one time and I'm unable to. There is one other store that I can go to that is almost equal distance and the price is the same on the oil and they allow me to buy 21 grams however I don't like going there customer service is everything. Kemp's has it OnPoint now if they can only recognize my medical card!!!

This was my first time in, and I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness. There was a unique and positive vibe here, and Tom did a great job helping me locate what I was looking for. The store was unique, clean, friendly, reasonably priced, and fast. Thanks for the great service. Sierra checked me out with a friendly demeanor and Tom was genuinely excited to hear that I was going to write a nice review here. I strongly recommend this store.

I was excited to visit Kemp Cannabis today, but went away with mixed thoughts. I ordered four items on line, and that process was easy. But at the store, I go to the pick up area, and wait 5-10 minutes for anyone to help me. Then I wanted two more of an item, and the guy just says he's too busy for that. I would have thought his job was to sell more products. So I go back to the other side, waited not too long, ordered from one employee, waited just a few minutes and picked it up.  Prices were good, store open and inviting, easy to view products, but the one rude employee tempered my excitement about the shop.

Love this place! Good prices and employees there are awesome. Huge store, practiced social distancing and everyone wore masks. Will definitely come back.

They have a good online selection and prices per gram are actually competitive with other shops in Seattle.  Lots of local grows are represented.  Money exchange is kind of weird but it's whatever, gets the job done.

I enjoyed my first visit to Shawn Kemp's Cannabis. Like any new pot store, they need to work out a few kinks -- they were a bit disorganized -- but the employees were friendly and they had a very good selection of reasonably-priced buds. I purchased six 1/8's of various sativa and indica strains. They ranged in price from $25 to $35 and were all high quality products. I couldn't be more pleased. I'll definitely be back!

Everyone is so nice and helpful; not pushy at all. Clean/cool aesthetic, very COVID safe. 10/10! They also have curbside/online option, to minimize contact. Affordable too !

Usually my go-to shop but the past couple times I've gone there's been an extremely rude bud tender/cashier that makes customers uncomfortable by being condescending and rude. Not to mention being maskless and shouting right  in my face. I tried to return a defective cartridge I bought here a week ago and apparently since I didn't have a paper receipt they wouldn't accept the return. I did call a few days ago and they said they could pull my receipt up online but I was rudely informed that could only happen on the day of the purchase. Fine. But then the guy goes on to tell me I should sell it to someone underage to make my money back. Wtf? He also said he would ask his boss if I could return it but he'd look too stupid so I'm out of luck. Maybe I'm too sensitive but he was so rude I cried as soon as I left the store. I won't be returning.

Matt Anderson did a great job showing me around the store and guiding me to to exactly what I was looking for. Real genuine guy and will definitely be back!

We visited alot of shops in Washington and Shawn Kemps Cannabis was the best of the best.  They have a HUGE selection and prices are the cheapest around.  Plus I met the Reign Man Shawn Kemp himself the last time I was in the store.  Great job Shawn Kemps Cannabis!!!

Great dispensary!! Visited from Chicago and was helped by lulu. she was very knowledgeable and led us to some great picks. She also recommended a good lunch to pair it with, will definitely be back.   Also Shawn kemp was extremely  friendly and took his time to chat! Overall great experience

What a great atmosphere, amazing quality and prices! You can indeed fanangle an autograph out if the deal too. Paris was kind, charming and killed it when it came to figuring out what i wanted...

We thought about stopping by on their opening day but expecting a large crowd, we were concerned about being unable to maintain proper social distance. So we came by the day after instead and didn't get to meet Shawn Kemp. Initially on their website they shared the dates and times when Shawn Kemp would be in-store budtending and greeting customers, but they have removed that information from the website now.As usual you show your ID at the entrance. But from the entrance, they're doing things differently than other weed shops/dispensaries we usually frequent to. First, they take your body temperature then they give you a queue number, saying that the next available budtender would come get you. There are plenty of budtenders on the floor (approx 10ish) so you don't have to wait too long. In our case, a budtender was immediately available and came to greet us. All of the budtenders here always carry a tablet with them for inventory check and inputting orders etc. The place is clean and very spacious, decorated with some Sonics posters, Shawn Kemp's and Gary Payton's jerseys. The floor is separated into two rooms: the room where the entrance is where you browse through stuff and being assisted by your budtender and pay; the next room is where you wait to pick up your order and exit the store.Our budtender was friendly and helpful, and we probably would spend some time asking questions and recommendation if we hadn't checked their menu online and already knew exactly what we wanted to get. At the time of our visit they weren't taking online order yet, but as of yesterday you can pre-order online and pick up at the store. We told our budtender what we were interested in getting and he input our order on his tablet. Afterwards he walked us to the cashier where we paid. Then we were directed to the next room where we waited for our order to be prepared. In this room, there are some glass bongs and other accessories. There's also two NBA Jam arcade machines that you can play while waiting for your order. We didn't wait long at all. The staff behind the counter called out our number where we picked up our stuff then we handed back our number. Overall we found that the buying experience here to be unique. On top of it, they also have a very complete line-up that's competitively priced. Their online menu is also very well-done with advanced filtering options compared to others we usually ordered from. We are quite impressed with them so far, looking forward to see if they'll implement member discounts or other type of daily deals in the future. Also FYI - there's a free parking behind the building.

Large, spacious and clean store - and a haven for people who are fans of the Reignman!  Lots of memorabilia, jerseys, pictures and more are all over the walls and an amazing mural on the outside of the building.  It was a safe environment and very customer friendly.  It is worth coming here even just as fan even without making a purchase.

We went here while visiting Seattle. I had seen Sean Kemp on Real Sports. He was on the premises and was kind enough to take a photo with me. We bought some edibles and tinctures. The employees were helpful and seemed knowledgeable  about the products.

This review is actually based off of my husband's experience visiting this location thus far 3 times. Considering the number of dispensaries in the Seattle to Mill Creek areas passing the possibly 100 options says something to the value, and customer experience provided by this location. My husband really appreciates the premium selection, and prices. From the pictures the dispensary seems to be decorated around the Sonic color scheme, very nostalgic and I'm certain the city appreciates seeing the iconic Sonic Boom on the side of the building.Shawn Kemp has been at the location while my husband was shopping and he stated he was extremely friendly and welcoming to every customer. If you're in Seattle, and seeking a dispensary he definitely recommends stopping by this location!

We're visiting from Los Angeles and was looking for a good dispensary and we found a GREAT one!! Amazing selections, amazing location and most of all amazing people. ABBY was the absolute best and walked us through all we needed to know to make the best choices for our needs. She is indeed a true asset to Shawn Kemp's Cannabis! Advice from a California tourist..... YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE A STOP HERE!!!!! As a cannabis fan, I can honestly say that this store has the best selection and prices out there. What more could you ask for? Seriously, I visited a different cannabis store on my trip to Seattle and was disappointed due to the sole reason that I had gone to Kemp's 2 days prior. Nothing compares to Kemp's! And DO NOT listen to the reviews that discuss their interesting checkout method. They do it this way to keep the prices low. You tell a budtender what you want and they package it in the back. They give you a buzzer, like at a restaurant, that buzzes when your order is ready. Mine took about 60 seconds. This process beats waiting in a line any day. I'll be back, Kemp.....

Love this place. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The whole store setup is awesome to look around and the prices/products are on point. I go out of my way past dispensaries that are closer to me in order to go here because it’s just a win every time.

Although the place is nice and they have a fine selection of cannabis. I felt that had I asked any questions outside of the norm I was meet with blank stares from ones who do mot know to much about the product they sell I want to know if any of the weed they sell has been cured, which in my book can make or break quality of the bud do any off these weed stores even cure there weed. Highly unlikely so back to the review great prices great location great selection but not so good on answering my question. so school. Your employees on your oroduct and i would of gave 4 stars

Coming from MN, I had no idea what to expect walking into Kemp’s Cannabis with an older family member, but I was happily surprised to find myself among smiling, helpful people who were well versed in their products and willing to share their experiences with them to give us an idea of what to try. We talked with 3 different staff people as we made our decisions, waited for our purchases, and decided to get some other things. All three were helpful, kind, and welcoming to us newbies. We enjoyed our products and the help we received we came back a few days later. If you’re ever in Seattle, this is the place to shop!
