Been to dispensaries in 4 states and this is one of the better ones. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She seemed really excited to be working there showing us a bunch of stuff without us even asking with a genuine smile on her face. They have really good prices and some great quality wax and nug. I bought a few different waxes and they were all top quality for such a good price. My friend got some blue cheese after the smell blew us away. Really nice indica. A lot of stronger buds can be harsh, but this is smooth tasty and potent.Overall place is clean, welcoming, and had good product for great prices. Would get 5/5 stars if they would switch to an open jar policy. Being able to pick your own buds and not having them prepackaged is the way to do it. By far the best way for the customer to get exactly what they want.Edit- Didn't realize Washington doesn't allow open jars!

After sampling most of the local cannabis shops in town... what was I talking about? Oh yeah, I found Oz. to be the best around. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of flowers and solids; plus the best prices I've seen on pre-rolls, pipes and bo... I mean water pipes. (Side note: It's still illegal to call them bongs in the stores. Lol!)What I like best about this place is that each item is described in detail on the walls. Most places just have a bunch of product in glass cabinets with little or no information. You see where it came from, it's cbd and thc count, and a quick description of the high it produces. It helps that it's the closest outlet to my house as well.

This is my local shop.  But even if they weren't, it would be worth the drive.  Every time I've been here, the staff has been friendly and helpful.  The flower strains are described on the wall in a descriptive and easy to understand manner.  The staff are always willing to offer their advise and opinions if asked, and I appreciate that.  Highly recommended!

I've felt seriously patronized by budtenders at other local shops in the past which has led to rushed decision-making and an overall stressful buying experience.  Tired of this pattern, I turned to Yelp to find my new go-to dispensary and landed on Oz.It's safe to say that I'm never buying recreational marijuana anywhere else from this point forward...The staff at Oz are knowledgable, respectful, friendly.  I did not feel rushed - I felt like a welcomed and valued customer.  Bonus - the Oz shop dog was snoozing away behind the counter which further added to the "local" vibe happening here.I researched the menu online (updated frequently) beforehand and knew I wanted to buy the high CBD Remedy from Puffin Farm.  My budtender recommended purchasing a $7.00 pre-roll to sample the strain without committing to a full gram.  I'll be back soon for more - Remedy was hands down the best high I've had in a long time.

I live up the street and am a frequent customer at Oz. I refuse to go anywhere else. The organization of the store makes it so easy to find what you need. And when you don't know what you need the staff will work with you to find a good match for what you're looking for. I almost want to go into Oz. just to see the staff... Nicest crew I've ever met at any store, marijuana or not. Not to mention they KNOW what they're talking about. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place; I recommend this business to EVERYONE. Plus there's always a cute dog behind the counter! :) The best - thank you to everyone at Oz for always making my visits enjoyable - would give you 10 stars if I could.

I can't say enough good things about this place. As someone who uses marijuana as a medicinal supplement, when I shop at Oz, I know I'm making informed choices and am guaranteed to walk out with something that addresses my needs.As others have mentioned, every strain they carry gets its own clipboard with a description in big, legible font. The clipboards are organized into sativa/hybrid/indica groupings on the wall. Let me tell you why this is so great. Most shops give you a menu with the name of the strain, grower, and a breakdown of THC/CBD percentages. That's it. This means you rely on the budtenders or your phone to help you choose between Sativa A and Sativa B, when one might be giggly and uplifting and the other might send you down a paranoid black hole of crippling self-awareness. In most shops, the budtenders simply don't have enough time to 1.) know everything about a strain intimately and 2.) give you the time and attention you need to make an educated decision.The clipboards at Oz have the most thorough descriptions you will find in the city. Alongside the usual THC/CBD percentages, there are parentage notes (so you know which Haze hybrids to avoid) and detailed descriptions of the strain that might mention anything from "A balanced high that is good for creative projects" to "Great for hiking and any other outdoor activities!" to "A gentle body high that promotes relaxation." You can tell these descriptions are written with love and appreciation for the product and the customer.As a shopper, you feel encouraged to browse and read everything before committing to a purchase. The store is set up so there's no pressure to queue up and get to the counter right away.  The budtenders are chill, too! They're knowledgeable about the strains they have AND about how marijuana users shop. The last time I was in there, I was waffling between buying a gram of Alice in Wonderland to try and buying a full eighth. My budtender recommended getting two grams because they were running low on the small bags and he didn't know when the grower would have stock again. Turns out two grams was enough for me to decide it's not for me (it's a great strain, though); one wouldn't have sufficed, an eighth would have been overkill. Everything we've gotten here had clean, clear profiles and effects. Their buyer knows what s/he's doing for sure. Do yourself a favor and go to Oz. Slow down. Read and absorb. Ask questions. Spend that hard-earned money well and treat your mind and body to the good stuff.There is a small parking lot beside the store with one or two spaces.Finally, it's pronounced "ounce" for legal reasons but it's just as full of wonderful things as a store named Oz in the Emerald City suggests.

It's a bit of a confusing shop because their entire menu is posted on clipboards along the wall. They don't exactly explain this to you as you enter the shop....they kinda just stand there quietly waiting for people to tell them what they want and have them retrieve it...a bit different from how I'm used to picking up from any other place...normally I would prefer to have the budtender explain and give suggestions....That aside, they tend to carry some top quality flower, with some pretty decent specials too.

Me and my friend were visiting from Maryland. Really excited to check out as many dispensaries as possible!OZ. Was one of the last stops we made, due to its locations and our location clashed.The layout of the shop was wonderful, a very open floor plan with the strains they had posted along the walls with its name, contain, and price and organize from premium to standard.A very wide selection of flowers, oils, edibles, and pieces. Atm located inside.Staff were really helpful and informative on but they enjoyed. However, A small blunder, I asked for Super Silver Haze, but got Super Lemon Haze. Honestly, not mad at all. It was a wonderful time!pet friendly, loved that.

My first shop in Seattle and I loved it! I loved that they give detailed descriptions and percentages of each strain. And the bud I got is really good! I paid $49 for 3 grams with tax included (I got 2 grams of one strain and one gram of another). Only issue is that they only have smell jars for buds from certain growers and none for others... So I couldn't smell any of the bud I tried. The bud I got 1 g of ended up smelling really good, but the strain I got 2g of I ended up not liking the smell at all and probably wouldn't have chose it out had I been able to smell it. It was still good weed and definitely did the job and didn't have a bad taste or anything when I smoked it, but I just like smelling my weed  other than that, great shop, great herb, great service

Super friendly people, great prices for high quality cannabis.    I love their online menu which makes it easy to browse their wide selection.    This is the only place I go to buy my herb now.   I used to go to Hashtag but was treated rudely there.   OZ is far ahead of the competition, and I can't recommend them more highly!

I simply can't recommend this shop enough!!!This is by FAR my favorite shop within the Fremont/Wallingford/Ballard area, and I've tried quite a few. Great selection of very reasonably priced flower, oil, and edibles, excellent frequently rotating deals, and amazingly friendly and knowledgable staff.Last but certainly not least I have to give a heartfelt shoutout to my all-time favorite budtender- Towner. He puts a huge smile on my face every time I come in and he is always so helpful and friendly in such a understated way. You rock, Towner!!!

Would just like to say that the customer service and the need was attended to very nicely by the staffs. A lot of options and picks for strains.

Love this place!! Went to check it out yesterday and their concentrates selection is amazing and fantastically priced for the area! The gentleman who helped me were awesome and friendly. I discovered a small parking lot in the back which is always a bonus!! I'm looking forward to coming back as this is now my go-to place!!!

A nice and easy going atmosphere. Nice budtenders, quality products, and affordable prices. Not much more to say really. I like this place for its simplicity.They have ATM onsite with only a 25 cent service charge.Recommended

As a medical patient I've been hesitant to try any of the rec stores around. I'm happy that my first experience was at such a great store with helpful staff. When you're used to such loosely regulated browsing, a rec store environment can seems cold and commercial. It IS at some places, but not here! The staff, while they are more confined that those at med shops, welcome you as soon as you step inside. There are descriptions and prices all over the walls to browse while you wait to make your purchase.Bob and Kelly took care of me my first time in and were super helpful! I've been working with high-percentage, solvent-free oil for a few months and really was uncertain if trying a concentrate cartridge would be worth it. Well... Kelly sold the heck outta the Vuber vape pen, showing how convenient and discreet the pen was. My old vape was a bit of an ordeal, and Kelly mindfully listened, informed, and weighed the pros and cons of going with the vape pen. She helped me figure out which strains would really compare to what I'm used to.Wow...wooow! They hit the mark for sure! I'm so happy with this little pen and my NYC Diesel. The battery I got was actually defunct and wouldn't work. Bob took me outside to do some troubleshooting and found what the issue was. They happily replaced the battery and even went so far as to make certain it would work before I left the block. What a cool crew, going above and beyond to ensure I was all set. Thanks OZ!!!

There are very few recreational cannabis stores that are as informative, clean, friendly, and affordable as OZ. I stopped in once for pure convenience from my normal recreational store, and instantly was hooked. I've been going back ever since.They have a second to none selection from flower, oil, to edibles and can talk you through the detailed intricacies of each with ease. Every time I have gone, I leave with a wonderful smile on my face. One thing I LOVE about this place: Online menu. Sometimes it's difficult going into a shop when you don't know exactly what you're looking for. Their menu is updated and simple to navigate online. I find quite a few other shops in Seattle don't keep their menu's current. I cannot recommend OZ highly enough, they are a shop worthy of your first time or continued business. Thank you!

The budtender is a good guy and their prices were way better than the shop in my neighborhood. I will be back.

Absolutely best shop I have been to in town.  Fantastic space surrounded by a wealth of information about their inventory.  It isn't the 'menu' you find in a typical shop, where some products and some prices are listed (or even worse).  You will certainly find two things: 1) Detailed information about their offerings 2) Great prices If you are interested in learning/knowing about what you are buying, this is the place to go!   Chris was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgable.  I will be back.

This place is so chill. I went in for my first time with my boyfriend and the people were really nice and helpful. The guy that helped us really knew his stuff and got us exactly what we were looking for. Will go again for sure!

Great service start to finish. I called ahead to see if a certain product was available and was assisted by a friendly individual who confirmed it was in stock.  I was helped by 2 different employees during my in-person visit, all of who provided honest guidance and a friendly attitude.  At one point a friendly dog jumped up near the counter to say hello, only making my visit that much for inviting and enjoyable.  I will definitely be coming back!

Heading out for a girls weekend and I thought it might be a nice idea to bring some legal refer.  Oz was recommended to me by another friend so that is where I went.Kelly at Oz was so helpful and professional.  I don't have a lot of experience shopping for pot and Kelly was very knowledgeable and candid about what to expect from each product.  She directed me toward product that would not be too strong for inexperienced users and she  suggested an edible that might be fun (with modest serving suggestions).The whole experience was really nice.  I enjoyed talking with Kelly and I am looking forward to trying something different with my girl friends.

A+++ customer service and selection of all types.They're nice, accommodating, patient and sometimes there's a cool dog hanging out. Lots of sniffer jars so that you can smell before picking, there's a good price range, plus the place is super clean and well lit.

Just the best service I have ever received from a recreational store.  Their menu is interactive with the layout.  The employees and owner are knowledgable on their products and general quality of cannabis in all forms.  They are friendly and always willing to give advice and help with what you're looking for.  I didn't feel rushed or like I was just another transaction. And the PRICES are REASONABLE.  It's a win-win.And once you try what they've got going on, they will quickly become you're new fave.

OZ is a great shop, owned by a totally cool family. I absolutely love bringing all my jealous out-of-state visitors here to show off how beautiful legal pot is. You can study up as leisurely as you please on all of the current inventory, ask the friendly staff and owners anything you want to know and get well informed answers, discover interesting new goodies or come back for old favorites.  The shop is very pretty, with an amazing display of high end smoking implements: it's almost like an art gallery. I've been to places that had sketchy employees, or felt like Walgreen's on crack. OZ is for me.

Great people, service, and a comfortable, happy atmosphere! Product is good after several visits buying several varieties. Love the staff and all their suggestions and conversation, and the range of product types is great for a non-smoker like myself- there is something for everyone! After seeing what other recreational stores have to offer, this place is the best in terms of staff, welcoming environment, and prices!

Towner makes my day! Everyone here is so nice. This is the only place we shop anymore because everyone is so fab and seems really excited to be working there! Also the entrance and descriptions are great. Been to lots of places and this is the best.

Unmatched service. They are knowledgeable about their products and the industry. You can tell they love what they do and they aren't going to mess you over. They taught me so much about edibles and they make sure all of their edibles taste good and aren't shit. It was the best experience and the descriptions they write up are very helpful. Whatever high you are trying to fill, they can provide.

Really great service. I went in to make a fun gift basket for a friend and the staff helped me thoroughly go through all the products and give great recommendations. Definitely recommend a visit to check out their goods -- lots of variety as well!Bonus points: they have adorable dogs to greet you.

So nothing really stood out that makes this place any better than any place you might go. The wall is full of clipboards instead of product and seem to be redundant and duplicated throughout the store to make the selection seem larger. My biggest problem was that I used the ATM to get cash after I had an idea of how much money I'd planned to spend. The bud tender told me after I used the ATM that I wasn't allowed to use it unless I was going to immediately place my order after getting my cash.... Nearly asking me to leave because I couldn't understand the purpose of the rule. I wouldn't go back there again for any reason. Also, since the owner apparently wanted to create a scenario where covid was the culprit for his business being Rude AF, I wanted to clarify that NOBODY ELSE was in the dispensary while my wife and I visited. There was NO LINE for the ATM and six feet of distance was no issue for anyone during my visit. The bud tender was rude, and this owner apparently has adopted a philosophy of "My people can do no wrong". What a joke....

First time WA State Cannabis store visitor. I was delighted with the service. It's different than the CA stores (ie clpboards) so I was a tad overwhelmed with exactly how to shop, but ended up getting personalized service and a nice walk through of the options. The employees were all amazing. I am not much of a Cannabis expert so I appreciated their patience and I got a great little package of fun as well as some topical salve for my aching back. Love it!  What an amazing experience - thank you for treating this foreigner like a VIP!

Oz is great!! I LOVE the clipboards with all the details on strains. In every other shop I have to either sift through all the package marketing to figure out that there's good stuff for a good price in the little bag, and the brightly colored glass jar with all kinds of crap all over it is overpriced junk (ok sometimes it's less obvious than that.) Having low key budtenders and quality products along with all the data on the wall means I can talk to them if I want to, or not talk to them if I want to, and it's all good. Thanks Oz!

Super cool shop - might have found my new place!You walk in and they have all the strains listed on the wall, by type (flower, oil, edible, etc.). Every strain is explained in a 9x5 piece of paper attached to a clipboard - the type of high you'll have, how you'll feel and pricing. Makes it much easier to make a choice rather than when you have to take someone's word for a favorite strain.Pros: I found the selection tight, almost like a very small treasure of the best products available, curated by the experts at OZ. Cautions/Cons: Products reflect the quality so please note it is on the pricier side. They also don't have a loyalty program, which is frustrating because there is no financial incentive to shop at one shop vs. many. Finally, for first timers, it's really helpful to explain how the clipboards work since I had to approach the staff and tell them it's my first time in their shop (I didn't even see the clipboards at first!).

Great selection and pricing is very fair. They carry some strains that other stores simply don't have. We checked with several stores to find a particular strain- Oz was the only store that had it. The location is easy to find, and the bud tenders are helpful. They have clip boards with strains , amounts and it's very readable and easy to understand. No senior discount here, as at some stores. We were very pleased here.

I love this shop, and while I may have had average employees at times, I find the quality of employee and no-bs talking about weed to be very good almost always.  Also, they straight up say if they have no experience with something, or may say so and so always buys that one (identifying an employee nickname, not a customer).If I had to dig for a complaint (and this is my go-to store where I get 99% of what I buy), it would be 1) I wish for more space and paraphernalia to shop (but not a new location :-)) and 2) a couple of times staff have been so polite they get caught seeing customers waiting but not sure how to usher people along and to stop story telling  Once it was clearly a somewhat loose canon guy, so I was happy to wait with no scene being created.  Once was a few people just hogging the counter chit chattng such that there was no separation to approach the other register.  As I said, I'm digging to point that out, and can't fault younger people for lacking kind people-ushering skills.

Great variety of products, the store is really clean and light. The staff is very helpful, especially Marty.

I preferred this dispensary over another one I had went to previously during my stay here in Seattle. Cute dog and pleasant budtender. I have found being helped by a knowledgeable female bud tender to be less intimidating and an easier experience than the male ones I worked with at other dispensaries (I am female). So interacting with a female budtender here was great. OZ offers their menu online as .doc file which was very helpful in making my selection before visiting. They opened promptly at 10am.

THE spot to go to over many others. Very chill and unhurried vibe with employees that are very helpful and willing to educate. You’d be hard pressed to NOT find something you want or would want to try. They have so many options.

The workers there are super chill and helpful. & the owner was very kind. 10/10 for sure. They knew exactly what kind of strain I was looking for. Best experience, I’m from Utah but when I come down I’m definitely coming back to this shop.
