It's so unfortunate that I had to change this yelp to a bad one. Medical patients are supposed to be allowed for walk ins and to use the atm. When I asked the manager Zachy why I couldn't use the atm because holly let me yesterday and he replied "well if you don't like it then go take yourself and shop at holly" and the he said "if you don't want to follow my rules then you're not going to shop here." It was just a quesrionsI am a medical patient and I have spent thousands of dollars here...I haven't bought weed from another place. He fulfilled my Pre-order and took my money after I told him I had money to spend there and an order put in. hecame off aggressive and as if I was bothering him with my presence as a medical patient. I need my medicine and I asked a simple question. I left Dayton lightshade crying my eyes out. No employee should ever make a patient feel this way, especially a MANAGER
Low budget products at a premium price. Prices went up 75% overnight. $32 for eighth not worth it. It was $20 last week.
This is by far the worst location for this company. The management absolutely sucks! They never have prepacked ounces ( or anything else really) for medical members. I didn't sign my caregivership over for you idiots to sell all product on rec only. Either close down the end side or start sticking your fking shelves!!!
Not the best experience I had in Denver, actually requested a specific strain and the budtender told me that specific strains were not was I looking for. He seemed really over the whole cannabis tourism and seemed over confident in what he thought I was looking for. Talk about mansplaining. He was way off....
For two years now this place has been my go to. The bud tenders are always awesome and helpful! I even go out of my way, now that I live further away, to go to this location. Cost is low and quality is great!!! Will always be my go to shop and now even better that they have rewards/loyalty program :)
MANAGEMENT SUCKS! I used to love Lightshade. They were so caring about their cartridges and I was pointedly told that if they did not work for any reason to bring it back. I did just that. The budtender immediately yelled across the room filled with people that "this lady wants a refund" in a tone that suggested I was trying to get something for nothing! I was so embarrassed, but it got worse! I was just looking for a little education on how I was using the battery, my cartridge, or find out if something else was going on with it. Why else would I pointedly be told to bring it back? The store manager, an aggressive 20-something with an attitude, came storming over and basically shoved it back in my face and told me I was using the wrong battery (even though I told him 9 other carts worked on that battery??). No apologies. I felt like I had been set up, What a jerk the manager was, I will never go back to this store!
This lightshade location has the best people working there. They are Amazing! So nice, they greet each person, they remember you from previous visits 2 weeks ago and say hello. I would highly recommend this location, sadly I cant say the same for some of the other locations. However this location and people are awesome!
Pretty disappointed with the quality of their prerolls. The flower is so tightly packed, unraveling the joint results with all flower staying in the shape of the joint. I then must crack it apart and re-grind the already ground flower... that is how tight the joints are packed. Additionally, it is so dry on the outside you would assume they have been left out for days. As you can assume, these are not prime conditions to smoke a joint out of. More than half of the joint is wasted as a result. I only now decide to make a comment, as this is a reoccurring problem.
I was turned away at your Aurora Illiff location for having a FILTERED face mask, which has been proven SCIENTIFICALLY to provide better protection against diseases than the flimsy paper or cloth masks that your personnel use, and LAUGHED AT when attempting to correct the ignorance. I will NOT tolerate being insulted in such a way, nor will I tolerate such levels of IGNORANCE portrayed by your employees. Until I've received an apology I will not continue business with your company as a whole, as this makes it obvious where your morals lie.

Totally not a fan. They have completely took down everything from my drivers license, even though I didn't purchase anything. It was a LONG wait and the selection was not a variety-- I was inquiring about some displayed E-pens and they were not in stock and out of stock for a while.
New location, off to a really good start, but not great. They sent out an announcement text this morning letting everyone know that they are now open, as this is their grand opening weekend. Sweet! Just in time for me to re-up. So I head on over, and 10 minutes later, find myself sitting in an apartment complex parking lot. They had sent out the wrong address in the text. Yikes. So I Google the incorrect address to see what should be there besides the apartment complex, and nothing came up. So, in a round-about way, I eventually found the correct address and dispensary (they had also failed to even mention the name of their dispensary in the text, so I had no idea what dispensary it was that I was going to). Finally get there another 10 minutes later, now realizing that this was way out of my way, and much further than I would have traveled to go to a dispensary. I live near Colfax, and there are TONS of options on Colfax, and plenty with great deals. I didn't let that get to me too much, and went inside anyway.Inside it's very nice! Extremely clean, great reception, and a nice waiting area. The selection is top-notch. Decent prices. All in all, a good place to go for your bud needs. As long as they don't give you the incorrect address first, haha.
I’ve been to two different LightShade dispensary’s, both were clean, but this one gives overall a better impression. First off it smells so much better, my bag just smells like a normal store unlike my first experience, so much so I was actually enticed to buy a shirt to bring back home. The staff was also very nice and helpful, I went at a random time early afternoonish, and was in and out happy in minutes it felt like. Definitely planning to visit again! Glad I decided to try this brand again and if you’re looking around for a overall good experience this is it!
Use to come here often before covid and was almost never disappointed with the quality. However, the last 3 times I've been most of the herb has been 10-15%thc , smells like mowed grass, and still priced over $30 an eighth, unless you get their discount strains and those always seem like guaranteed low quality. Employees are still friendly and accommodating, but no point in paying premium prices for lesser product. Won't be coming here again ?
I would give this business zero stars if I could. I went in on lunch as I'm new to the neighborhood and wanted to find my new favorite dispensary. Spoiler Alert: THIS IS NOT IT. I have frequented several dispensaries around Denver and have never had a problem. Well, today, we found Houston. I was denied entry/service because there was a small crack on the top of my ID. This crack has been there for months and I've never been denied service for weed or a drink. I am a 36 year old man who has been smoking since I was friggin' 16. I have half a head of gray hair - I'm not trying to pull one over on anyone here. As I left, I made sure to let them know that there are hundreds of dispensaries around the city that would be glad to take my money and they shouldn't expect to get a second chance at gaining my business. Do not go here. Green Dragon is a way better dispensary.
My first time in Colorado and my first stop at a dispensary was at Lightshade Rec & Med Dispensary. Greeted by a super friendly human that took me through the initial process before exploring their selections of goods. Everyone was very cool & knowledgeable and made the experience a good one. Recommend 10/10 !!
I should have read the review Ken left 4 month ago. Nobody told us they are considered an ATM. They just told us we couldn't pay with credit card, but instead with debit. They rounded up to 65 Dollars and gave us some cash back, what seemed fine at the time. But in the online banking it shows that they charged 68,75 instead of 65 plus a 2,50 dollar ATM fee. Not okay!
