Bit of background - coming from CA, this. Is the first dispensary I have been too - I went several friends that have also not been inside one before as well.  Additionally one of our buddies in particular has not used cannabis before either.All I can say is, I highly recommend this place, it was a phenomenal experience.  I can not praise them enough for their endless patience at all the questions we were asking them.  They made us feel completely comfortable - if I can sum it up, the experience was very warm, informative, and enlightening.If you ever want to visit a top notch dispensary that aims to place the customer experience as their first priority, visit here.

The quality and prices at this place continue to go in separate but wrong directions. There's way better bang for your buck els-ware.

I did an online order off the pre-order menu on their website, including an edible. When I got there they said that the price listed on the menu was for a 2-for-1 special, if I only wanted one it was $5 more expensive. Nowhere on the pre-order menu did it inform me of this fact, and the new total was more than the cash I had on hand. They did not let me use my debit card since it was an online order; in the end I had to remove the edible from my purchase.  This...is a bad design. You shouldn't have to face a stealth markup when you get to the store. I'll still come back but I hope they fix their pre-order menu.

We have been shopping here at least once a week since we moved into this neighborhood a two years ago. This week was likely our last time shopping. They switched their rewards program without notice and will not honor the $25 reward we had earned on the old one (that we just earned on last week!). Over going and having the one woman ignore our price points and continue to try to sell us things outside of our budget. This same person always asks if you need "lighters butane, or pins" even after you tell her you don't have extra money. This place use to be a great experience, now it's just pushy selling and a lack of care for their clientele.

The edible deals are great! Nice local spot to go to. I recommend going here if you're on a budget

Prices were the only good thing here. Service the WORST. Really... I wanted to like this place. But their staff was rude; a woman Savanah was the epitome of poor customer support and killed the vibe. Other staff was friendly but this woman just totally impressed us with her rudeness above all. This place also managed to mess up 4 orders out of 7, ((I ordered 5 different sativa specific products and somehow managed to be given all indica products? 2 Cartridges/Pens sold to us didn't work.)) we had to keep going back. This place is lucky they have Niko. No bueno my friends, tell your staff to be friendly with people looking to learn the recreational side of cannabis out in Colorado. It's simple: be a kind human and keep selling your weed.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here the staff is so nice and you can be out quick or stay and ask all the questions you need. Also the prices are great! And there was plenty of parking available and no wait when we went around dinner time.

Rude lady - awful experienceWent in to help my terminally ill grandmother get edibles to help her with pain relief and to develop her appetite since she's hardly eating. Lady helping me barked at me about how it's illegal to buy for other people. I'm sure that's the case, but you need to be polite when you state that and not yell at the customer. *Please don't support crappy businesses*

This was my first time in a dispensary as I'm from out of state. I was extremely disappointed in the selection and prices. There were only 3-4 strains to choose from and the prices here seemed to be much higher than I had expected. The "budtender" was friendly, however not very helpful or knowledgeable. I was immediately met with regret once I checked out another dispensary on the other side of Denver. I noticed their prices were much lower and had a way bigger selection of herb. Overall this place was clean and organized, but don't go here if you're looking for a good deal or a large selection. Literally everything is in one tiny display case. It almost felt like a tourist trap. With the amount of dispensaries in Denver, I encourage you to explore your options. Especially if you plan on making a fairly large purchase.

It's a beautiful building and their selection is pretty good, friendly staff! Way overpriced, you can go right down the road and get the same product for half the price. It's just not worth it....

I'd like to say they have incredible selection the staff is always friendly and there's awesome energy. I love their deals and they always have fresh new flavors

This lightshade is the best hands down I would come here anytime to get the best service

This place is right around the corner from my apartment and it's become our go to spot for picking up supplies. I like that they label each strand what the effects will be to you. We usually grab something that helps with relaxation or headaches as I suffer from migraines fairly often. The staff is friendly and informative, and their prices are very competitive for the area. Most recently I also picked up some juice, which is now my favorite.

Shop here at your own risk. I buy the same oz shake every time for the same cheap oz price. I ask the guy why it's short & I get some bs answer. I'm not coming back to get bs'd again.

Typically make this my dispensary to go to over live well. But after today that will no longer be the case. I drove 30 min. To get there at 12:03 when they closed at 12 and they literally denied my service. Horrible way to treat a customer who is always up in that bitch. I as well as a few friends that go here will no longer be going there due to some shitty ass service.

Fantastic dispensary. First experience with this kind of thing in Colorado. The staff was exceptionally patient, answered all questions effectively and simplified things for a novice.Clean, safe, good area. Very pleased

The level of professionalism at this dispensary is astounding! I continue to come back time after time.I have severe anxiety that has diminished significantly with the use of Marijuana. Everytime I come to Lightshade-6th Ave, they give me the perfect recommendations. Most places will try to upsell you or  give you something that THEY like rather than what would actually be good for YOU. I've never purchased a product that I didn't enjoy here. The fact that they actually care and take the time to find out more information is incredible. I've never been pressured into buying extra stuff wither. Every employee I've had the pleasure of working with has done a superb job. The amount of compassion that everyone has is so wonderful as well. I will forever be a loyal customer! Thank you for all the help you've gave me Lightshade-6th Ave staff!

If you advertise being open till 9:45 then stay open till 945.  This is customer service 101. Don't lock the door early bc you're ready to go home. Bad JuJu.

I never have experienced anything like lightshade. From the staff to the selection it truly feels like the most welcoming dispensary. The wait is non-existent and they always seem to remember your name when you enter. Makes me feel at home and thats why I choose lightshade!

Do not go here. I just bought the worst quarter of weed I've ever bought since moving from a state where herb is illegal and ditch weed is the norm. The system there is strange. You only get to sample the weed in front of each budtender's cubicle-like station. Very corporate. You pay the budtender, then they give you a ticket to give to someone who dispenses pre-filled drams of the shittiest, most overpriced stemmy, leafy, dry-ass, crumbly shwag you've ever seen. You have to wait in line 4 times: one at reception where the desk person takes your ID, again in the waiting room, again in the back before the budtender calls you, and again at the station where you present your ticket for your shit nugs. My budtender's lack of knowledge and enthusiasm was surprising: I asked her what the genetics of a certain strain were, and she simply replied, apparently annoyed by my questions, "I don't know." I was in a hurry so I just got what she alleged were decent indica and sativa strains, then collected my ticket and marched to the next long line to get the weed I just bought from the angry, tired/sick-looking budtender. I opened the 2 drams she presented me and was offended to see such stemmy, leafy shitnugs that I asked to see some different ones. I looked at 3 different drams of each eights I had purchased (over $60 for the quarter), and they were all equally shitty. This place probably makes its profits off of tourists because no experienced Coloradan would ever visit this place more than once. What a rip-off.

One star for parking zero for everything else. Bud is sub-par and the customer service is the WORST! Will never ever be back.

Great place, friendly and helpful staff, would definitely come back here!  As a Texan feeling like a fish out of water I did not feel out of place in this dispensary!

Although I regularly go to other lightshade locations, this one would not serve me because of a tiny bend in my I'd. And I mean microscopic. It swipes fine, it scans fine, and you can hardly even notice it. The first time a dispensary has ever refused me service. Guy was just rude and people were extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are way better places right around the corner.

Great dispensary with highly competitive pricing even without the weekly specials they run. The selection is good and the staff is always very helpful!

Worst lightshade I've been to. The customer service was terrible. Not coming to this one anymore. A good light shade is on 6th and Havana. Seriously, if I ask a question don't put me down for it. And a sarcastic response is not a good one. Me: "Do you guys have anymore blue kudus?" Her: "Does it look like we do?" Cool. 1/5 it is.

Staff is super friendly, making purchasing an even more pleasurable experience. The quality of buds exceeded my expectations; they weren't the little deer droppings you would normally see at  any Joe shmo dispensary, the beauties here are bountiful, with a lot to offer. The high quality selection can make it hard for one to choose, and that's what keeps me coming back.

Great place, cool staff, awesome buds!!! My mom came here for her first time in a dispensary ever and they helped her find the perfect nugs for her liking. I will be coming back here for sure

First time in Colorado and Lightshade was the first place I stopped to pick up some good quality cannabis, without a doubt they have nothing but good quality cannabis.. The customer service didn't fall short either they made sure to provide and information regarding what we were interested in.. Definitely stop at Lightshade!

While I appreciate the offer, why would I go back? Other places around town cure their pot pursuant to CO regulations, and their pot is still fresh and sticky. Curing doesn't equal dry and stale, and the stuff you sold me is both. Either you're prepackaging the eighths in non-airtight containers way too early, or you're just selling old pot.Why don't you invite me to stop by with the 7 different varieties I just bought, and we can compare them to what the competitor down the street is selling? I'll be happy to buy some of their pot so we can look at it together. If you can tell me with a straight face they're comparable, I'll update this review; but if you can't, the decent thing to do would be to let me return this stuff for my money back.

Asked if they could not take my id but just check me in my looking at it given the corona scare which they did but gave me attitude about it. When they let 4 people go ahead of me is when I left.  Won't be going there again.

I came in last week with two friends from out of town and had a very pushy and unknowledgeable employee serving us. I think she noticed the out of state licenses and thought she could get away with making some extra money off them and lying. Aside from now knowing much about the flavor profiles or sources of the cartridges we were interested in she tried to sell us "high altitude vape batteries" because "the ones we have might make the cartridges leak/explode here". I politely told her we didn't need any batteries multiple times despite wanting to call her out on the "high altitude" BS. Then when reviewing the order after picking two cartridges she tried one last time to sneak the battery in our order. I was ready to walk out without making a purchase but my friends were in a rush so we made our purchase and left. It really seems like she must get a couple dollars commission if she sells a battery with the cartridges because I've never had that happen at any other dispensary around here. I've been coming here a few times a month since I moved down the street. I usually buy their flower for $15 an eighth. That is a decent deal and their other prices are good compared to other stores. However the flower is very inconsistent. Sometimes it is so dry you just need to pinch it and it will crumble, other times it will be wet enough it's hard to turn the lid of my grinder.

Terrible customer service. They are always to busy to help and if any product is defective they won't support you.

Convenient location is great and staff are all nice, but won't be coming back here again. Disappointed too many times. Prices are high and while staff is abundant, they seem focused on churning people through the exit as quickly as possible. Was looking for a 1:1 edible at the best price point (which I stated), but because they can only show their monitor vs the actual product (and staff member didn't know products better), I got a 2.5mg per piece edible at the same total quantity and price as a 10mg per piece. Would instead recommend LaConte's and Good Chemistry.

Love the design of the building. We were welcomed, checked in and almost immediately taken to the back. This place is very visual, has a Lot to look at while if you did need to wait. Great flow (in and out). Knowledgeable and patient staff (newbies to this shop) and great variety of options !! Lightshade was suggested to us by locals as being the preferred dispensary. We now know why because we enjoyed our experience & an easy going process.

The tree is ok, I'm from Cali and there's been a few strands that's comparable. They usually have great specials, yet the customer service has been hit and miss. Today I came in earlier to pick up my online order. I'm greeted by the receptionist, she confirms my order and I ask for the price. It's a little more, yet she says if you don't have enough you can use the atm. Uhhh no s**t Sherlock. I'm a regular customer come in 1-2x a week. I can visibly see the atm. AND I have extra cash. I only wanted her to confirm the price. I go in the back to get my order. I ask to open the small nug pack. The guy tells me he can't, he asks the back to make sure. Which I appreciated. Yet here comes a woman in a safety vest, cap, and no bottoms sounding off about corona, yadayadayada. Just extra for no reason and her tone was rude. I go around the corner to complete my order and I'm about to exit out the door I entered and here comes vest girl again. She's pointing not making eye contact for me to exit out the side. I just spent my money in the establishment and you're being rude. Please humble yourself and learn customer service. I can take my business elsewhere.

Super convenient order ahead and pick up process during COVID. The first time I went I tied my dog up outside and they waved me to bring her in (always a plus in my book). I'm not too particular about the variety or quality but as an average recreational user, they meet all my needs. Staff is friendly and helpful. They can get busy so ordering ahead is the way to go!

Staff are always friendly super helpful and the selection of flower is pretty good variety. Walk-ins normally never take long to assist and they also provide curb side which is pretty great considering the circumstances.  I'm normally here at least I eve a week

Great dispensary. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, that's not pretentious and rude if you have a lot of questions. Nice area, clean, and safe BUT it is a little overpriced and you can get better deals elsewhere.

My first time in Colorado and my first dispensary stop was here at the Lightshade Rec & Med Dispensary on 6th St. I was greeted by a super friendly human upon entering and took me through the initial process smoothly. The staff there are cool and very knowledgeable. They have good quality and selections of goods. Definitely recommend 10/10 !!

LOVE shopping here. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The system is super efficient and they make pricing clear and easy. I appreciate how they show your order on a screen and confirm each line item with you. Super nice people, great range of products, beautiful space, and there’s parking too. Great experience!

With the over saturation of dispensaries in Denver, it is not hard to find the products you need at any number of stores within walking distance...so then, what makes the 6th st Lightshade standout from the others? The staff! While most places fill the staff with pretentious, non-caring douche bags, Lightshade employs actual, friendly and caring staff who will take time helping the customers find the products and varieties that they need. Lightshade has good deals so always ask about them. Thank goodness I moved near by to this cannabis gem!

This place is the best dispensary I have found so far in Denver. I have been coming here regularly for years, after trying many others. The prices are very good and competitive and the weed is top notch. They also have fantastic popcorn nug deals if you are looking for something on the cheaper side, and the weed is still fantastic. The staff is always lovely and in a great mood. They are patient and answer all questions and they are also willing to talk over options with you if you are unsure of what you are looking for. They are also set up to be efficient, which I appreciate. You can get in and out quickly, especially if you know what you want. I have no complaints about LightShade and I recommend you come here if you are looking for a great, fair, local dispensary!
