This place is awesome! I went in with some friends from out town and they were nice and I wish so badly I could remember the gentleman's name that helped us, but he had a mask that had a cigarette in a mouth and it was a amazing! He was also amazing because he did not rush us or make them feel awkward for not being familiar with the products and terminology. He also was patient and kind the whole way through. Even their security was pleasant. I appreciated the whole experience and vibe here. Also they have awesome, cheap prerolls, I'm talking $3 and $5!

I'm a very loyal customer here. I'm here every other day, if not every day. Today, some new worker gave me a hard time. Said my online order wasn't found. Made me wait extra time for nothing. I asked the front if this person was new and they said there shouldn't be any problems. Well who knows what the problem is. I want to give 5 stars but after today I'm only giving 2. Customer service was very horrible. Nicky - this is your fault girl.

Nug is good but expensive because it appears everything they sell is indoor grown. The only reason Indoor grown is more expensive than outdoor is it more expensive to grow. Outdoor grown is far superior when grown in native soil and grown organically. One of the things most people don't know is terpenes and flavonoids are a response of the plant to the environment created by the plant to protect itself. This is why terpenes and flavonoids are weaker in any fruit or flower that is grown indoors than outdoor. Its also why you can buy the same strain from 10 different places grown by 10 different growers using different grow mediums, nutrients, soil and all 10 will have different effects. If grown outdoors the same can be true depending on the geographic location grown in and whether is it is grown in the natural local soil with with all the nutrients from that same land all grown without a single outside amendment.

Price was different than the total they gave online. Had to go back to bank to pull more cash. Came back and different girl gave me a discount than the first girl took my discount away an charged $10 more than what the actual total was smh

I visited this store a few days ago and I have to say, I was impressed with the selection and so appreciative of the customer service.  They were incredibly busy but Forrest was very patient and knowledgeable.  He answered all my questions, helped me select just what I needed and I never felt rushed to make a decision. I highly recommend this store and will most definitely be back.

Never have i had a bad experience in this store until Heather stepped in. Your sign was typoed and mis-leading so when I questioned the sign she responded like an asshole. Jason is always wonderful and usually who I deal with. I prefer to leave good reviews but Heather really irritated me.I don't care for smart ass responses when you guys are in the wrong.

First time going in was smooth and quick, no line. I got what I needed and then told the dude with dreads and a bucket hat at the register I was gonna look around because I'm curious to see what they have. I don't wanna be bothered and this fools following me around so I decide to check out since I'm already annoyed. Then this mf starts muttering shit under his breath like I can't hear him. All I'm saying is y'all need to hire people who aren't gonna be tweakin on your customers. Would still go back though.

I still will not return here. The improvements did nothing, the same issues persist.After buying a gram of your extracts labeled in the display at having 80%, then to come home and find out that it was switched to the same strain at 57% THC, to call and have you say "yes this was our mistake, but we cannot make it right by switching/refunding/crediting/or even discounting. No the manager said "my bad but we can't do anything, in fact we are going to black out the THC contents on the labels so this won't happen again."Then all of your containers come pre opened and never sealed.   Not returning here. New management same issues.

Really great spot. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. This place had friendly workers and a wide variety of products. I first ordered online, off of weedmaps, and that was super easy. I focused my purchase on edibles this time: a few of my classics and also I found fun new products to try like thc coffee. Once you get to the spot you'll see, this place is cool as a cucumber. Super clean inside, stylish, and welcoming. Like I said the workers here are also super friendly. I'm excited to keep coming back.

This was definitely my go to spot.  Premium quality & friendly staff and I loved that you could get 10% off when you ordered online.  Now, they have done away with the 10% on online orders (so there is no point in doing one now) AND they raised the prices.  So, I guess it now time to shop around.  Too bad too cause I was at this place at least twice a week. Bummer.  BRING BACK THE DISCOUNT at least pls.

All the associates are really cool people and give amazing suggestions, pleasant conversation are just all round good people. Super shitty service. Was sold broken equipment just the day before. Went in to fix it and was told there was nothing that could be done and that I would have to buy replacements elsewhere.

I am so happy to have this place in my part of town. I eagerly awaited for construction to be done and came to the big opening party. The tenders were so kind, and full of information. Also they have great deals so I was able to stock up on some goodies for great prices. This is a beautiful store front that is so classy. I felt so comfortable while I was in here and this is my new favorite place to get my goods in Sacramento. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. So if you are a die hard stoner or just trying explore in the world of CBD and THC, this is the place for you.

I went to the dispensary to follow up on a part time application I submitted via Indeed.  When I arrived I spoke with the female attendant at the front desk telling her I was there to speak with a manager to follow up my application. She went in the back to tell her manager my reason for being there. When she returned back to the front she informed me that her manager wanted to "keep it real" he is only looking FEMALE applicants. She then proceed to tell me "idk why he didn't post that on the job posting?" But I know why he didn't..... BECAUSE ITS ILLEGAL!!!This is an extremely discriminatory business. I'm fortunate that they didn't gain my employment because the culture of this business is disgusting

This has been my go-to for a while now, and I have yet to be disappointed! Everyone is always very helpful, knowledgeable, and they keep it real when it comes to the actual quality and high. See my dude Brandon for some hot suggestions.

All the staff and security that greeted us were very warm, friendly and professional.The check in process was a breeze and the wait time to enter was not unbearable at all.Once we were inside the main area, one of the staff member made sure we were taken care of and guided us the whole way on what products were in stock and what deals were available.I would definitely come back to this place. It's in the cozier side, but you still have a variety of products and flowers to chose from.It's also a plus that they have a cozy parking lot for customers and street parking was available.

This is our favorite place to buy our little "yummies" the staff is usually freaking AWESOME!! BUT I came out on Sunday I drove almost 2 hours and arrived about 8 minutes before closing and NOPE we are not allowed, even though we drove so far. We were told that sorry they are done for the night and will not help us! Damn you know that sucked and we are at this club 5 times a week!! Damn they really disappointed us

Picked up some concentrates, tried them and immediately tasted like butane/sulphur. Disgusting not clean. I call to let them know and see what can be done...they say shit outta luck cause I opened it. Can I just give it back this shits unsafe and disgusting. This is why you're suppose to get shit tested. Terrible customer service. It's disappointing cause I frequent this place. Not sure now with the low quality they're getting and not caring. Thanks

Between the vast selection of products, the daily/weekly deals, the ease of online ordering, and the friendly, knowledgeable staff - NUG is my go-to, favorite dispensary for all my cannabis needs. There's something for everyone there at every price range no matter if you're a beginner or a cannasieur. Definitely check these guys out if you're in the downtown area!

Wow this place is very classy, new, clean and very organized. Shaina at the front desk gets a shout out for great customer service and friendly attitude. The waiting area is very chic and once inside everything is very organized in glass cases and the display areas are beautiful. The counter people are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have. They have a lot to choose from and a large inventory of choices for your health needs. I give this place 5 stars and will definitely tell my friends and family of this new location. Unfortunately, they did not carry the brand of edible that I usually use for pain, but Shaina said she does the ordering and said she would look into ordering that in the future... Now that is outstanding customer service.. bravo to Nug

I've been going to Nug for a few months and I won't go anywhere else! All staff is super friendly, down to earth and clean! Nic was my cashier a few times and hooked me up with awesome stains to perfect my artwork. As an artist I appreciated the time he took to find the perfect strain to complete my work to. 10/10 will always come back!

Easily one of my favorite dispensaries. Establishment is clean and well organized; and employees are eager to help. My favorite budtender is Stefan simply based on knowledge and relatability. He always gives the best recommendations to help me stay asleep at night!

As I was wrapping up my evening in Sacramento, I decided to stop by a new dispensary and picked this place by the previous Yelp reviews, which are correct (at least the positive ones!). Very professional staff and a cool interior. I was helped by Nick who was super helpful and hooked me up with a good deal and some cartridges. They also give you a discount coupon for the next visit as well. Only heads up: the parking lot is small and hectic. Def recommend.

Always work with the same guy and you take super care of me and all the others are so polite and helpful. Are usually park right up front to the door. I have to travel a little bit to get there, but I'm willing to do that.

I was visiting from out of state and always seen Nug on weedmaps so I had to stop by. I was not disappointed either. They have a huge selection of products, the budtenders were very attentive and the 1st time buyer discount was cool. Next time im in town I will definitely be back to this shop.

My partner and I came in over the weekend and we were extremely happy with both the customer service and the products we purchased. Matty helped us. They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. 10/10 would come back!

This store is not as good as people think. They use deceptive bait and switch sales tactics. The boxes in the display case are presented with much higher THC percentages then the product you are actually getting.I bought a sugar there and in the display case they claimed it had 80% THC, when they went and got it from the back they bagged it up quickly in an attempt to hide it from me. When I got home I called them and they said "come back and they might try to fix it" when I told them what happened they said they wouldn't replace it because it's my fault.I said I wouldn't of bought it if I had known it had so much less THC.They basically said that they don't care.It's all my fault.After I left from the store they where talking amongst them selfs and saying customers don't even get to know anymore. They said they where going to black out all the labels with sharpie. To prevent a thing like this from ever happening again.That's not even legal, if I don't know what the THC in my product is, how do I know if I'm properly medicated, how do I know if I'm going to take way too much or not going to take enough?These are exactly the types of shady business practices that legalization is here to prevent. This is exactly why we test all of the products so that customers can make informed decisions.The managers are both terrible and they only care about proving you wrong. Even if it means blatantly lying and using distraction techniques. To top it off they distract you from it all with a nice interior.I do not recommend to anyone that they shop here ever.They need to get some new managers.

The new NUG store looks fabulous. I was stunned by how beautiful it is. The selection is amazing too. I love NUG's shatter and pre-rolls and now they have gummies. NUG also sells all the other leading brands including CBD products that my mom takes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. No one was pushy or trying to make a sale.

Customers beware (at least medical patients) of NUG's lack of empathy or purpose it's a business in the end.I'd like to remind you all of why we pushed so hard for legalization and what you are "supposed" to be doing, help people who need to use Cannabis as an alternative medicine opposed to taking opioids among other things for pain.  So when I drop by as a "caregiver" to get my 25-year old brother who is dying any day now and in such pain he can't get out of bed, some things recommended by an awesome employee (Michael) I thought I left with appropriate medicinal needs.Upon arriving home and him waking up at 9pm to see what I grabbed, I was made aware that everything doesn't work and actually tried these brands.  I go first thing in the AM to see if they are reasonable since it's for a sick dying individual where I was met with NO's and "wish I could help".  Funny you can take a vapor cart and use for 3 days and return it, but perfectly good/unopened goods can't be return for store credit or other stuff I now know they had that works.  You be ashamed of yourself Mr. Lead (photoed at the door).I'd greatly appreciate a call from an actual owner before I continue forwarding along to your own distributors to show that you're nothing less than recreational/not in it for the overall medicinal good this brings to cancer patients like my young brother.  The goods will be sitting in the bag untouched as their is no use and think had you let me talk to the manager hidden behind the door, we could have gone about a better way.Sincerely,Luke

This place is absolutely amazing!! I am in probably once a week at least and everyone is so kind and helpful and super knowledgeable. Cameron and Rosie (and a couple other workers i'm unsure of their names) went above and beyond to help me with something that genuinely was out of their control but they made sure i had everything i needed! I always feel so welcome when I come in and I never get any sort of off putting "i know more than you" vibe from anybody here like i have at other dispensaries. I shop here exclusively for my cannabis products and I always will!

This dispensary used to have a rewards points system. Before April 13th 2020 they would accumulate but you could not use them. They changed that on April 13th and started accepting their reward points. I noticed on my receipt from this past Sunday, June 14th 2020 that my rewards were no longer displayed on my receipt. I called them this morning, June 17th 2020 to ask why the rewards were not listed on my receipt and was told that due to a robbery that occured during the George Floyd protests they were no longer using the rewards system so they could offset their losses. First off, sorry not sorry that you were robbed but that's not my problem and shouldn't be taken out on the customers. It's your business and the losses are on you. I was saving up my rewards. I think this business needs to find a better way to recoup their losses than to rip off customers. I would at least appreciate if I could use the rewards that I already had accumulated  even if they stop doing the program in the future. The whole thing is just a dick move.

Awesome dispensary, super clean and professional. The employees were super helpful answering questions and made awesome recommendations for purchases. They even gave us a free plastic grinder and hemp wrap so we could try the product as soon as we left. Definitely will return next time I'm in town.

I have been to my fair share of dispensaries around the Sacramento area and in other states like Oregon and Washington, and NUG is by far at the top of my list. Here is why:The Layout & Atmosphere: When you walk into NUG, you'd think you were walking into a high class retail store. You would not assume it were a dispensary from the outside or the front entrance. The outside store front is very well kept and clean (no trash or eyesores). The inside check in has plenty of seating and very nice couches to sit on even though at 11am on a Sunday, there wasn't a wait to get in. After being checked in, walking into the actual store I got a very wonderful smell of bud, not to mention my jaw dropped with how amazing the inside looked. Glass cases are all set up throughout the room and organized by product - meaning, if you were looking for edibles, there is a specific case; looking for cartridges and vape accessories, there is a case etc. This kind of organization is exactly what I need when I go into a dispensary. The bud case and how they package their NUG products is also perfect for me because it's labeled with the strain AND if it's for Daytime, Nighttime, or Anytime use (I always get sativa and indica mixed up so I really loved this organization). They have ample amount of registers and a nice long check out counter so you never feel like you are standing on top of people (I hate crowed small places, and this is NOT one of them - however, again, 11am on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded BUT it's also not a small store front so I feel like it would never feel crowded even if it were packed with people). The atmosphere also reminds me of an oasis with the color scheme and general vibe of the place (definitely relaxing).The Staff: I heard about this place through the manager and friend of mine Shaina. She wasn't in when I went in but she helped my husband a few weeks prior and is very knowledgeable about the products. During my visit, the door staff and front staff were very friendly and helpful. BIG SHOUT OUT to staff member / bud tender Katie who helped out both my husband and myself. As I checked out the store and the bud, I listened to her talk to my husband about edibles. She knows what she is talking about which is refreshing as some bud tenders don't know BUD about bud and you can tell. Katie though, she knows her BUD. She also helped me decide on Premium Jack over 24K based on the fact she said if you have bad anxiety, you should NOT smoke Jack because of a specific strain in the Jack that "jacks you up" (my words not hers). I do not have anxiety and always need a push in energy but also a relaxing feeling after a long day at work (I still need to be able to function and not be stuck on the couch). Katie really knew how to make us feel welcome and answered all our questions. I never felt rushed or confused. Katie you are awesome! Shania has an awesome staff over there, plain and simple.The Product: I have tried their NUG brand of bud as well as the other brands they carry, but I have to say I am hooked on the NUG Premium Jack strain. It gives me just enough energy to continue my day after work and relaxes me enough that I can also still function and have motivation to get things done. I also smoked it and then went to the gym to do cardio (cycling) and lifting weights. LIFE CHANGING. Okay, that is a bit of an exaggeration, however, it did make the 30 minutes of cardio go by faster than ever and I lost track of time while lifting so, to sum it up, I had a really good workout and I give 75% credit to the Premium Jack. It would be awesome if they could make P.J. in a cartridge because the bud is great. They also carry edibles, wax, and believe it or not, infused beer and beer flavored cartridges! If you want a great atmosphere with knowledgeable and friendly staff as well as amazing products, you have to check out NUG. You will not be disappointed.

One of the Best Dispensaries in Sacramento!! It's an extremely clean and stylish Air conditioned Facility. Hardly ever had to wait in Line!! And the Staff are so knowledgeable about everything that's in Stock or items that will soon be in stock. Definitely a family, First cousin type of vibe from all of them! Definitely the best place to purchase your stash from when in Downtown Sacramento!!

I went to Nug the first time today and was very impressed. The service was great and knowledgeable.  The inside space is large and like a high end shop.  I will definitely be going back to Nug Retail on 16th.

Alright. Imma say it. The customer experience I had was freaking amazing! They were super knowledgeable about all the deals they had and didn't make me feel rushed! They gave us stickers and pens and it was just an awesome vibe! Thank you guys for hooking us up!

I love this place!! Thank you for existing!! A+ from the decor to the customer service. I can't get over how beautiful their living wall is! Who doesn't love plants?! I have noticed that the last 4 different dispensaries I have gone too have lost their customer service. I have been to NUG a handle full of times and have always enjoyed my experience.

I had a change of opinion recently. I used to go here all the time. I loved the workers and enjoyed their products. I've spent hundreds of dollars here and enjoyed that it was right down the street from me. But recently my last visit had a very traumatic ending. On Saturday August 32nd I rode my bike to NUG to purchase some products. As I arrived I hand my ID to the security guard named Trey. He scans my ID and tells me to go in. Right before I go in he tells me to leave my backpack on the ground away from anything or anyone to protect it. At first I comply and set it on the ground. But as I walk in I see tons of customers with bags and backpacks. He even let my wife that was with me in with her pack pack. I then go and try to see what the problem is with me having my backpack. At this point I felt very discriminated and stereotyped against. Everyone else was able to carry their personal belonging in except for me. Just because the way I looked and the way I was dressed. At this point all I want to do is just leave, I tell my wife let's leave cause I didn't like the vibe I was getting. I swing my backpack on and the security guard is pushed up right against my ass. I then decide to leave because he started getting very hostile and he pushes me with all his force against the window. I was already walking away and leaving, my back was turned to him, and he continues to pursue me. A manger by the name of Miles comes out to talk to me and my wife. He basically tells us there's nothing they can do about it. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated. I was discriminated against, stereotyped, and assaulted all in one visit. I won't be going back. You guys lost a value customer. Maybe you need to teach on how to handle situations better especially if you guys are trying to portray a "professional" business. If I could I would give ZERO stars.

I am mixed on this place. Sometimes I have an amazing experience, and sometimes it feels impersonal and sales person specific. I feel like my experience really depends on the person I get. I love the actually space and displays. There are some employees that are friendly and will go out of there way to make sure you get what you are looking for, but on the other end you have some that only care on how much you spend and totally say the wrong info on items. I had a guy tell me the THC was 22% and it was really 15% after I purchased. So I really want this place to do well, I just want it to have a more consistent experience.

Stumbled across this place yesterday and man i will definitely be back i was disappointed that they didn't have any PAX Pods but they more than make up for it with some choice varieties of flower. Oh and the $15 eighths are another bonus.

I heard great things about this spot. Came with a friend but I didn't go in but we got a great deal. I have a coupon I'm heading to pick up from there now.

Been going here spending all my money here but as of late they raised all of their prices so they are just like any other club now with the exception of bad parking hmmmm I'll pass now.  The service was never great in the beginning but I stuck with them because they were $10 cheaper.  Back to Perfect Union 4.5 eights deal now....on wed and Sunday smfh

Not to satisfied with the selection and service i received. Would of liked to have a more patient budtender. Seemed they were more interested in the next sale.

My friend came in from ATL and I brought him here. Super helpful peeps, clean and easy going. Lots of ATMs on site.

Worst experience ever at a dispensary. Horrible staff they tried to argue and tell me all live rosin is black and that I have to take it and they can't return it. Horrible quality live rosin horrible service as well told me "if I have any problems bring it back". I brought it back because there was obviously a huge problem. Was not helped at all I recommend not going here just a few days earlier I visited the cookie store where I purchased the same brand and live rosin cart. No problems at all great quality if you want a cart I'd say go there.

Front desk awesome bud tenders awesome as well. Products are on point but there security guard with glasses is very rude and has zero respect for patients and customers. I've been here 4 times and everything has been amazing up until this last experience. My car got hit with rocks and mud in there alley by one of there customers not there fault but it's how there security handled it is the issue. I have scratches and small dents in the front of my car I ask the security guard to look and he says it's not his problem and continued to be very rude and hostile towards me.

It's also hilarious to me that your workers are changing their names on Yelp and leaving good reviews for themselves. Pathetic as hell and I'm literally telling everyone I know never to come here, I always got amazing service until now. See ya nug there many other dispensaries out there, maybe stephany you shouldn't be rude to a customer that spends over 5k a year there.

I want to leave an updated review, as a show of appreciation for the great recommendations and hospitality which was provided by all of the NUG staff members.Initially I came to this place to to further avoid dealing with the absolutely terrible customer service from Delta Health & Wellness. I am writing this review with a bit of sadness because I do not need to visit this place anymore, as I was successful in quitting Marijuana for recreational use. It has been a year long goal for me that I was able to achieve, and the products that they have here have definitely helped me achieve my personal goal. One of the first flowers that I've tried was the Gelato Cake, it was recommended by Khalib(I apologize as I do not remember anyone else's name) and honestly it was one of the best all around Indica dominant purp strain which quickly became one of my top favorites. It helped me fix my covid sleeping schedule so that I was able to get up early in the morning. Speaking of the morning, another strain that helped me stay up in the morning was the Apple jack. I've also tried a few different sativa dominant strains but this one just hits the nail. Out of 15 years of smoking, this strain is one of the best sativa I have ever tried with the given THC levels and the price point. It is absolutely recommended

First time returning within a week. I'm a bud connoisseur so I visited the online menu before stopping by and that was super neat. KHALID was QUICK and EFFICIENT to help me get in and out, and handle my order. If I was able to buy more fuel I would ask for Khalid's continued assistance but unfortunately I maxed out the amount I'm allowed to walk out with. 10/10 experience. Will come back when this session is over

NUG is by far my favorite dispensary in the area, everyone is so friendly and the environment is so calm and relaxing compared to some dispensaries where you feel like you’ve walked into a rave. Their customer service is great. There’s multiple people I would like to note. My cartridges kept breaking and I went into talk to the manager (unfortunately I forgot to get his name but he had short blue hair.) and he told me that it was actually the battery pack that I had that was causing the cartridges to break and since changing that battery pack I haven’t had anything break. So he just saved me so much money, not to mention he was extremely patient and helpful with all my questions. Ana is always extremely positive and welcoming, she has one of those faces that you can always tell when she’s smiling even when she’s wearing a mask. I always like seeing her face when I go in there. Also specifically the man who helped me (again I forgot to get a name) on 5/30 @ 9am was extremely helpful with all of the information regarding their online ordering system that I was having a couple problems with. He helped me get it resolved and was very patient. I wish I had gotten the other two men’s names I always feel we are trying to describe people. But the whole staff is great. I don’t go to any other dispensary.

Beautiful interior & displays that allow you to shop before you buy. ATM. Knowledgeable & courteous staff. My tender Miles gave me exceptional service. EVERY employee at this place just rocks. They give the BEST recommendations! Just tell them what you are looking for and give them a chance. Parking is limited so show up anytime but 5-7 pm if you drive.

Love this place, always knowledgeable and very friendly. Shout out to Alexandria who helped me today and to Celine, she always says hello! :) And Luca in the front is always in a good mood ready to uplift your experience. Keep it up my favorite dispensary

My go to store for cannabis needs. I love the fact NUG is diverse with their staff, everyone is knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Ordering ahead of time is best if you don't want to wait in line, but even if you don't order online, service is always quick for the most part. Parking is the only down side, but its not their fault, as parking is like this throughout all of downtown. There's a small lot on the side of the bldg for parking or you can use street parking. Prices are also always reasonable for even top shelf goods. Save yourself some time shopping elsewhere and come here! You won't be disappointed. And this is coming from an avid cannabis consumer?

Everyone is knowledge and helpful Everybody here is great, but Autumn made a pair of great recommendations when I needed something to fill in for something out of stock. 1 million stars!
