The transition from Medical to Recreational created a lot of havoc for this industry including Northstar. I was a little perturbed by the transition and in my haste I wrote a nasty review. I have been back since and their service was impeccable. They always have high quality medications and are very knowledgeable. My apologies.

I've been going to this place for about a year now and it seems like there selection is going down the pipe, everything is extremely pricey now and not to mention they hire people that don't know what there doing! Sadly to say I'm going to look for another spot that! I won't go back.

Helpful, courteous and respectful staff! Bud selection is better than most around Sac, menu is updated with new bud and favorites often. Every other collective has the same bud, or less. The competition charges more than NorthStar for the same or worse bud. Don't get played.

Beware! Their Girl Scout Cookies is absolutely FULL of seeds.  There is no quality control at Northstar.  The GSC I bought came recommended from the staff and was complete garbage.  I won't be back.

Lets just say out here in the good ole city of Sac things to me are like Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. Literally. A sort of hit or miss situation, Up in the air. You catch my drift. So I'm like why not. Pro reason number 1. You can get to that shit by Light rail, (Public transportation is so real out here.)Pro reason number 2. All you need is an ID 21+ easy P easy (Stay in school kids)Pro reason number 3. The Prices are cute for my pockets(Sometimes I be working on a budget ya know lol)There ya have it, 3 easy Fab reasons to hit this spot up. Especially if you like variety. Now speaking on the customer service, I personally thought everyone there was quite friendly & totally adorable in a Riverdale kind of way. Wait times are to be expected, your not the only one who wants to smoke up like a chimney.   The decor tho, bleh. I mean splash a little life into that hideous waiting room, its almost depressing. Almost. Word of advice don't bring a bag, they make you leave it at the front while you head to the back. I'm not with that ,leaving my cute Diesel backpack for the taking. Now for some advice try the gummies and be and be a happy camper. Ya know why? It really opened up my sweet little creative mind lmao.

My go-to spot for quite a while now. Prices seem to be a bit more friendly now compared to a couple years back, so that's awesome! No matter the price, every single strain is amazing here. I can be fairly picky, but never have I had a complaint about any of their buds. Monday morning is the best time to go if you want to avoid the crowd!

The staff is incredible. The female security guard is a real bitch to the point I will never return to spend my 200/week.

A great place to shop if you're prepared to pay an additional $50 on top of your entire order once you get back to your car and realize the vulture parking enforcement dude got you and everyone else surrounding the entire store due to not "backing in" your car! And don't expect the store to warn you! The manager, Jada (sp), wouldn't dare warn her customers with a warning sign, along with all their other signs when checking in, about the parking situation there.

Going from 3-5 stars because they've really gotten their stuff together. The rewards system is far more usable, they have deals that bring you in on different days, their inventory is the best it's ever been, and they finally take credit/debit cards again!

There is usually a not a long wait. Budtenders are friendly, probably one of my favorite clubs to go in Sacramento. stop in and give them a try. Sunday mornings  also have a trash pick up with free coffee and donuts! Definitely will be back thanks guys!

The staff here are awesome! Very informative in their products and listen to their customers. Even was willing to exchange a faulty cartridge battery and broken cartridge.

First time in and Aubree took great care of me. Knowledgeable, patient and kind. This was a very positive experience for me. I would definitely recommend them. Great variety and average prices. Everybody was super friendly and I didn't have to wait. Plus there was lots of available parking nearby. I love that they're open at 9 a.m.! $20 grams of crumbles!!!

Deserves 4 3/4 Have been to a few around town, and hands down the BEST customer service. From the security guards outside, to the front desk people (always nice, smiling, warm and welcoming), to the 'tenders behind the counter (helpful, knowledgable, patient, willing to answer questions).First timers, bring your original paperwork, and valid ID of course, but it's worth it because you get a(n easy) survey emailed to you with a coupon to use toward your next visit. And hopefully you're not shy, they announce you to the 'tenders you're new patient..... Again worth is, it's followed by a generous gift!Meds are comparably priced, $8-20/g, but I always say you get what you pay for! Never been disappointed in my flower or edible. Check out the web site for daily specials. For every canisters you take back they give you get a raffle ticket to enter for free stuff. Other promotions and offers are always around, you just gotta come check them out!Only 2 downers; 1, cash only "thanks to our governor" 2, preweighed. Buuuuuuut flower is alway, spot on, fresh, and taste good.This is my go-to!

Super friendly front desk staff and security! Felt safe walking in. A lot of parking. Friendly and helpful staff when picking out flowers!! Would definitely come back again!

Great spot....bought from a dispensery for the first time yesterday....loved this place....2 armed security....2 totally gorgeous girls working the lobby....then the guy who helped me was very knowledgeable about the product and very nice in general....good selection....good prices....I recommend this place all the way!

I've been using cannabis for over 50 years.  I have to laugh when people complain about wait times.  I remember waiting in a parking lot for someone who may or may not show up and then may or may not have weed, and then it may or may not be of any quality.  At any rate it's been well over a year that Northstar has been my regular shop.  The staff continue to be outstanding, as new faces appear well trained and ready to give great customer service.  The ones that have been there as long as I've been coming in make me feel at home every visit.  And that's about twice a week.As for the medicine, it's fire, top shelf to mids, and the specials they run are often a fantastic deal.  Senior citizen discount of 10%.  As mentioned elsewhere this is a cash only dispensary.  My only complaint is the lack of a lounge where we can fire up and enjoy our medicine.  Soon let's hope, soon.

Worst Cannabis dispensary I have ever been to you they have completely no customer service skills the women are only welcomed and nice to the males that come in. I was overcharged and no one wanted to help me! Please teach your bud tenders how to operate pin pad machines before hiring them not everyone has extra money lying around to be charged twice and have nothing done about it.

First-timer here and I was very pleased with my experience! Staff was welcoming and the recommendations were knowledgeable and confidant. I have terrible anxiety that keeps me up throughout the night and not only was I shown multiple samples with descriptions of each, but the range was tailored to my needs. The indica I bought was suuuper swell, I had such a great night's sleep!!! I was given a free sample with my purchase which was awesome, and I'm definitely looking forward to my future purchases here

I thought the prices were a bit higher then others.  It's all expensive where ever you go. Usually if your a first time customer you receive a free little gift, but not the case here. Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. The products I selected were outstanding!!  The location is good I like the old building it resides in. I feel safe with the two security guards standing guard!! I will definitely do some more hopping there.. thanks northstar!!

By happenstance, I came in on Sunday and Monday of this week. My two visits were completely different.Let me start by saying, I have loved this dispensary. I moved into this neighborhood in 2004, and watched it start from nothing. Ive seen all the different budtenders, watched them come and go, and management change hands (i think). I hadn't been there in a while because the 1/8's were just too expensive. The fuck Im gonna pay $60 for an 1/8th. Fuck outta here. But , to pick up on a Sunday, I thought I'd give it a shot.Came in on Sunday, front desk person was nice, I was the only one there, they ushered me in to back, a young man w dreads and another young man helped me, both super nice, patient, and helpful. When I was looking at the shatter, the kid made a point to tell me to come back on Monday and get the BOGO deal. I bought an edible and some pre-rolls and thanked him for the tip. Came in on Monday morning. Checked in person at desk was super nice walked on back. Little white girl w glasses helped me. Started looking at wax, this whole time, she didn't think to mention the ONLY deal that day, having to do w exactly what I was looking at. I asked for 2 grams. Meets me at register w 4 bags. I was confused as I just wanted 2 grams, not knowing they were sold as a 1/2 gram each (wtf....for what purpose?). She rings me up and gives that really basic, annoyed impatient attitude because I asked why there were 4 little bags instead of 2, I just wanted 2 grams. Mind you this whole, still not mentioning the deal going on that day, the ONLY deal going on that day. You know when someone in the service industry is annoyed w you by their body language and their quick, condescending tone. She was full of it. Instead of just being even slightly accommodating or intuitive, acknowledging that I didn't understand, she was just visibly incensed.All in all, she wasn't rude, but you know when you have experienced excellent customer service one day, and then the next its ENTIRELY different. Living in this neighborhood as long as I have, knowing the neighbors, knowing the demographic, knowing the budtenders that have provided myself and other community members excellent service in the past, it bums me out to be treated like just another asshole. Won't be coming back. Keep the privileged-ass attitude in the back of the store somewhere where it can roll joints or something and not deal w the public.

I went there today on the 4th of July, they closed at 7 and we were there at 6:50, doors locked and the person inside walked off.  We tried to call and no answer, there were other people outside as well. Never been there, so not a good first impression.  Seems like they don't prioritize the patients. I understand it's 4th of July and people want to go home early but don't advertise that you'll be open till 7 then.

A year ago ... woulda been 1 Star. Good job. I see and appreciate the difference in service , vibe, product and overall experience from start to finish. The security guard doesn't even have an attitude you guys.Something for errrbody. Get you some.

Shady as shady weed can clubs get, this is what you get when you shop at NORTHSTAR HOLISTIC COLLECTIVE  ! I recently purchased a high dollar name brand extract from this club , one of the employees who normally sits on his fitness ball up front checking patients in decided to be a bud tender that day , I guess he isn't up on the policy of opening the medicine and showing it to the customer for their approval . Instead I was sold a very low quality / extremely high dollar concentrate by one of the name brand vendors in the area .After getting home I noticed that most of the medicine had buttered up and lost its consistency that it was sold for.I contacted the extract vendor directly and arranged for a replacement to be dropped off at Northstar for me by the vendor .After several times stopping in to pick this "replacement sample" up I also made sure to make several purchases wile there just showing my support for the club .I was finally contacted after 2 weeks of patiently waiting for my replacement I was contacted by the vendor letting me know it was at Northstar waiting for me to come pick it up .Upon my arrival I was greater by the pleasant and friendly girl at the counter , she told me to speak with Isak in the back so I was looking forward to picking up my replacement and was PLANNING on buying a few other items as well .Upon being greater by ISAK's flat out rude candor I got the vibe he was just flat out lying to my saying "he didn't know what was going on with my replacement" smiling the entire time , I asked to speak with the manager and the guy who sold me the first horrible product came out to tell me he didn't know what we were taking about .After I reminded them that the vendor was handling this "replacement" Isak asked why didn't you just have him drop it off with you?I explained that I had been told this would be handlers through the club by one manager , another told me to contact the extract artist and another IE: Isak and the manager on staff at the time both pretty much told me to get lost !I proceeded to push my point as I felt at this time I was being ripped off for my "sample" I continued to push the point UP UNTIL THE MANAGER ON STAFF AND ISAK BOTH "recall" TALKING ABOUT THIS MYSTERY GRAM THAT WAS DROPPED OFF ??The Manager on staff then proceeded to pull my "sample" from his pocket , after not 20sec before both him and Isak told me they didn't know what was going on !! Hmmmm seems pretty shady to me at this point !Well I then proceeded to put my name and phone number down with the girl at the register asking the owners / "real" managers to please contact me as I do spend quit a bit of money with this business and didn't feel the "rudeness" and blatant lack of respect that I was treated with was warranted especially when the business wasent even the ones covering the "replacement" the vendor was !When I was leaving the manger came out to talk to me , he explained that he felt I had "cussed at his employees" I explained that I didn't and as I was leaving once away from the building the manager verbally called me "pussy" So I tired around as my friend who was working the front desk walks to to try and defuse the situation at hand ( ie: Isak at northstar lying to me and trying to steal my replacement medicine )The manager asked the girl who had been working the front desk if I cussed or swore at her .. Her reply "no" Just keep in mind even though these are legit business operating "legally"  there still selling drugs and there still run by the shadiest of shady people that honestly if you didn't need your "medicine" you would NEVER be associating with ! Northstart sorry but your going downhill and your bud tenders with their fake smiles and handshakes army helping one bit , your "manger" and the security staff are helping make sure you will be the next club in Sac that goes down !

I tried to return a defective vape cartridge and they wouldn't take it back. I wrote a bad review and the Northstar Holistic Collective retaliated against me. The day I brought a new customer to them, they refused to do business with me again. Most of the people working there were friendly, except for Isaac. You would think that a person with the same name as you would at least be friendly to you. I have never had a problem returning defective cartridges to the Florin Wellness Center! Their Business is far superior to the Northstar Holistic Collective.

who the hell pre-weighs bud?I have a friend who goes here and their bud is always dry af.I went to check it out for a deal one time, they wanted to charge me 45 1/8 for some okay stuff that look premature, dry, and didn't have any smell..Not digging this place at all and don't know why anyone would buy pre-weighed out cannabis that is just sitting there in the sun in a plastic container getting dry...I'll stick to RCP - they charge 45 an 1/8 for their top shelf they weigh right in front of you - and have 4.5 1/8 days! Sorry but not coming back, and I recommend you go else where as well.To top it all off the ladies that work here are those rude types that don't seem to have any concern for customer service...I don't know how this place stays in business when there is so much better stuff out there - This was the only club I ever walked into and walked out empty handed~ they didn't even have any clones  - looks like they haven't for awhile and weren't getting some any time soon either - such a shame I heard good things...

Hellhole made me wait 20 minutes, then kicked me out with my valid rec for anxiety causing a great deal of stress. They also have an hour's wait when busy haha. When something is decent they up the price 5 dollars. Pesticides on all the herb too. Says behind the register they cause cancer too. How natural is that!

This place is going down hill pretty quick. The waits are still ridiculous at times and they always have lame excuses as to why it takes so long and the front staff for the most part are just a bunch of sitting jumped up bitches who don't really know how to act toward other females. Strange. The weed is ok but lately they've been getting lower quality stuff and still charging top dollar which is obviously a rip off. Go elsewhere is my suggestion and save yourself a lot of wasted time and money.

12th and C Street.Street parking.You get buzzed in.You'll hear it and then pull.It's a nice security feature.The waiting room is big and used. I could hear the music of Blackstar bumping on the other side of the wall-- the dispensary. Easy form fill out for first timers. Nice staff. They had a good selection of flowers but when I got mine, it was like a lot of little pieces. It was kind of sad. Especially when u pay top dollar.

So I come back here to give it a second try, it's been about 6 months since my first visit and I enter and hand the DA my ID. And apparently I was never entered into the system correctly. They now want me to reregister even though I already have. Keep in mind I'm not a local and drove over an hour. I also called ahead of time for me and a buddy to see if they had beezle. The guy who answered told me to check sticky guide. I did and the menu wasn't even up to date. I also couldn't get the updated menu over the phone. I tried my luck and drove an hour for my friend to come out with no beezle but some over taxed shatter that in my opinion is not worth 60$+The tax that they DO NOT cover for the patients. This place is over prices and has a bad atmosphere as well as a poor location. Save yourself the time, if you do visit however make sure that what you want is on their up to date menu and that you have your paper rec incase your "not in the system anymore". Super unprofessional. I am a true patient with scoliosis and many people don't act professional in my presence due to my age but I was very mind blown.

I just found this place a few weeks ago. The staff is always courteous and knowledgeable. Hopefully, they get the compassion program up again, but theyre still an economical place to go for good meds.

I always wait a few days to give ratings so I'm not too happy or too mad.  This collective has pretty good meds.  Especially if you go there on a day that has specials. (Tuesday, Wednesday).  The White, Dutch Crunch, are bomb.  If you want the best you have to pay for it.  Prices are fair to me. Why I gave 3 stars-This collective has zero warmth, personality, or atmosphere. Security guards are d**** and front desk guy is a bit intimidating. If any one needs to smoke a joint  it's them.  Loosen up!  I understand how careful you have to be operating a collective.   But your uneasy-ness is apparent to everyone waiting in your front room that has no music or decoration. Atmosphere isn't the most important thing, but completes the package.  It also helps during long waits. I will return, just  hope they see from our point of view.

Good service, OK selection, weed jerky!, and they have freebies. A little out of the way, but at least they're easy to find and have lots of parking.

I'll start out by saying I've gotten good meds from Northstar in the past (hence the 2 stars), but things seem to have definitely gone downhill.Customer service, for the most part, is terrible. Security and the blonde gal in there are nice (there might be more than one blonde gal, though). Everyone else is... well...Last few meds I've purchased from them were very pricey and did not work.Don't even ask about their edibles selection. Apparently that's a sore spot for at least one employee there. If you're looking to save some money, quality meds and good service, this probably is not the place for you. I don't think I'll be back in there anytime soon.

Decent prices compared to Oakland especially high-grade around 45. Midgrade sweet tooth 25 very good deal. They are a touch feel smell type of club you can get up close and personal with the flowers

Finally got legal! Wooooooooooo! So......Went here to register as a new patient, and i was greeted with nothing but smiles and great service! The homegirls were a tremendous help and I tried the Krypto that the girl helped me pick out and it was great. Sure as hell beats popping anxiety pills left and right and sleeping pills that make me feel crappy. I tried the krypto and was good for the rest of the day, only had to take like 3 hits. I also like the Tahoe OG, that stuff is really good.But anyways, its down the street from my house, good hours and it helps my mania and all the crazy stuff that comes with being bipolar. They really helped me so i will be going back.

Went in today Monday for there special buy a gram get a gram half off used to love this place there going downhill they say oh yea buy this is good and you go home and the stuff is nasty don't look like there displays at all i used to come here all the time buying good concentrates but now there not the place to go

I appreciate my experiences here. It's always a fun experience for me at Northstar. Everyone is always extremely kind and personable. I also appreciate all the recommendations from the tenders.....Most importantly, they we're very loving to my dog :)

My first club. Good selection and very laid back. They give good presentations of what strains do what. Shout out to the manager and employees. Awesome management and over all cool spot.

Bomb Bomb Bomb KK!! Best Buds in town.. and out of town. Went to Several clubs over the last 4 years and was for some reason never able to make my way over to northstar.. BIG regret. I don't go anywhere else now. They also have another location in sf witch is great for me when i work that area i know i can still get my top quality meds before driving back home to sac

So, I had to come out to Sac for some training for work, and since it was the time of the week where I refill my meds, I figured Id take in the cities sites with a cannabis club viewing so to speak. lol. After checking out some reviews and seeing the perks of each club, I chose these guys. It was a good choice too. So, lets start with their location, which even though Im NOT from Sac was very easy to find. Theyre located on the corner of C and 12th, super easy to find. Plenty of parking on the street with easy access to the door. Their security is up to par for sure. Relaxed looking but very conscious at all times. The paperwork was a breeze and nothing out of the ordinary. The waiting room was very relaxing, lots of earthy tones and cushy couches. We were let into the back room after we were verified and the room got a little smaller but had enough airflow to where I didnt feel too closed in. When you walk in, the first thing I noticed was their large assortment of clones. They had a couple of racks with very nice lookin healthy clones. I didnt see any type of pests on them at all. The guy that checked us in as well as all of the budtenders were great people. I had taken a friend with me that was a novice to cannabis clubs and was still in the "Guy that I know" mentality when it comes to getting your meds. She went with whatever they handed her. The budtenders here are very helpful in this regard because they try to find out whats ailing you and work from there.  Great service with smile. They had some edibles, seeds, books, pamphlets, books and other info about medical cannabis from growing to ingestion. Information is good and I like when its available to members at collectives. They also had a decent selection of strains at various price points that could fit almost any budget, and nothing that I saw on their shelves looked bad. I ended up trying to decide if I wanted to try Kens GDP or if Iwanted to get some of their Purple Cream. I went with an 1/8th of the PC and was happy that I did. SOO TASTY! It tasted like a grape cream soda. Hella good. Nice chunky nugs with hardly any stems and a good amount of leaf cover on the bottom of the buds to lock those trichomes in. I also chose one of their prerolled fatty cones. Alien Head or something like that. lol. He gave me the backstory on the strain and it was one that I had heard rumors about but never actually tried. I did now and let me tell you, it was tasty, but not as heavy as I was hoping it would be. For your new member gift, they do something Ive not seen anywhere else, and to be honest this is where they step it up. Most clubs will give you a sample of some crappy house strain and call it a day. Some clubs give you a free gram and YOU get to choose. I like those the best, but these guys do it a bit better. They give you a full 1/8th of some popcorn buds, but thats the only negative thing you can say about it cause these popcorn buds came off some DANK trees. Today they were doing BK-47, which I THINK is Bubba Kush x AK-47, but I didnt ask so Im not 100%. Tasty and lasting high. Their prices are a little higher than I pay in SJ, BUT they do take care of tax and they dont slouch on the quality. Overall though this place is filled with knowledgeable budtenders and is a clean, safe and friendly environment that almost anyone can be comfortable in. Two thumbs up and thank you for a good visit!

This is a great place. Organized, made you feel safe, and a good selection. A little higher than some places but worth it. Definitely ask for Aubree, she was wonderful, knowledgeable and put up with all my newbie questions.

This place kicks ass. The staff is super cool, really knowledgeable. They always have epic deals on Monday and Friday (try to get there early, since they do have the tendancy to run out of discount herbs), and have a pretty decent selection of meds. Easily my favorite dispensary to visit.

Shadiest place ever. Felt like you're gonna get mugged in the building and the security guard was a joke. Bought a half oz from them, weighed it out when I got home and I was not the least bit shocked when it read 12.3g!! I got ripped off by 1.7g!

Got the old Bait and Switch, showed me some really dank meds and when I get home I realize IT'S NOT THE SAME??? (buds all tiny and beat down from keef removal) I only go to places that weigh it up in front of me from now on.LAME!!!!!

This place is amazing! Friendly service, good variety, and the deal on Mondays and Fridays is something you just can't pass up! No one else does a deal like that! Easy location to find and plenty of parking even though it's downtown. Never too long of a wait, and did I mention how good the product was? :)

Hit or miss. Recently I have had some bad experiences. I have purchased one mid range and one high range eighths and both had seeds. Don't try and bring this up or you will be meet with serious attitude and disrespect from the staff. I know they don't do returns but you'd think they would be concerned with their product quality. Even if nothing is wrong the customer service is still lackluster. There are so many other options in town. I like going to location because it is convenient but I wish they did more to make the experience enjoyable and cared more about their product quality. I hope things get better. I wanted to edit and say that I have never had this seed problem anywhere else. I know it isn't the end of the world but why is this only a reoccurring problem here.

I use Northstar because the quality of the medicine is reliably good. The location is handy if you live in Midtown or downtown, but even if you don't live nearby, it's worth the trip so that you can buy with confidence. The new prices are extremely competitive, and the quality of the meds is high in all the price ranges that i've tried. All of the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and i've never had a bad experience here.

Northstar is by far the best Dispensary in Sacramento offering great daily deals with over 20 different strains of flowers, you'll definitely find the right meds for you. The concentrate menu is definitely on point, with amazing shatters and waxes at affordable prices. (I recommend going for the Monday special) edibles here are also a must here with the large selection they offer there's no reason to go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly giving nothing but good vibes and always knowledgable of what's hot right now. definitely stay away from these low star reviews. big shoutouts to my favorite budtenders of all time Aaron, Isaac and Walker.  -Eric and Meghan

Been to all the clubs. Must say you can find much better prices else where, but this place always has the kind buds. $60 1/8. Some Fire Og is some good that they have right now. Inrid is always a good choice which they always seem to have. Jack & Abs r good dudes.

This club is THE BEST IN SAC!! They always know what I want and have it ready for me when I show up. Isaac is super nice and always helpful and walker is always informative and friendly!! I love this club and NEVER go anywhere else! These people are the top club. The girl at the front desk is always nice and really cool. I deff recommend going to this place! I read all the previous reviews and I have to disagree with most.  I find this store and the location very discreet and very easy to find.  This is a good location and NOT in a bad area.  You kidding??  I know the difference between good and bad areas in Sacramento.As far as the price, yeah, maybe a little higher than some other stores, but have been happy with the quality.  The guy there (owner?) was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.  I don't smoke, but do the edibles.  He was right about the consistency of the products....no surprises.  I've bought edibles in other stores and never knew what to expect and how long the effect was going to linger, which could be days!  And I would only do just a little bit!I've been happy with the results and without any lasting effects the following day.  I like the feeling of being in control of what I do.I like the customer service and the attitudes.....I feel they conduct themselves in a very professional manner along with being nice and fun to talk to.  I hope this place never gets shut down.  This will be my store of choice from now on.

Two stars because I have experienced better.  Northstar still advertises as a boutique dispensary. It once was, not anymore. The location is convenient for public transit and the bud is great. The receptionists, now, seem to be the bimbos from the night before and the bud tenders seem as if you are bothering them. I just witnessed the receptionist degrade a long time customer in the waiting room because she claimed to have found a receipt outside. The receptionist did not show the receipt but charged the person with littering. The client left the dispensary.  The receptionist came into the budroom while my 'Tender' was ignoring me and said the woman used profanity. Not true. There is no consistency in product availability and I did the BOGO Monday and Friday for a month/four weeks and all I got was a bait and switch. My product of choice was never in stock and the available products did not have a BOGO.  Audrey told me each time it would be in the next day. Staff at Northstar is like a revolving door; you never know who will be working.  I asked Audrey why the staff constantly threw others under the bus and she said "We never do that, was it the African American girl?"  In other words, this is not a Boutique dispensary, you are not a Valued Customer and if you are a medical patient who needs consistency, you are out of luck.

In a nutshell: ample parking, good security, friendly and knowledgeable staff, efficient service and VEGAN EDIBLES!!  Right now I'm doing a live-in internship and I'm not able to smoke, so I was expecting to go home and do some cooking.  No need.  I told the budtenders that I'm vegan and they were able to quickly point out every vegan product behind the counter.  One guy has been vegan himself for 20-something years, so he didn't even overlook the Red #40 in one of the suckers.

This place is great. Friendly staff and great product. Northstar really knows how to make you feel safe and comfortable. Not the mention daily specials that are excellent, I recommend Thursday or Friday.

I gave Northstar a shot, and then a second chance, but 3 strikes makes the decision easy. The people are nice, so service is adequate. The meds are not--or maybe they are if you're willing to pay for them. I went in recently to get a fantastic strain they had in stock and I was excited there was still some left when I came in. Just looking for a small purchase. The counter guy informs me oh, sorry, we only have it left in large quantities. Large quantities?  So what he is telling me is that he is unwilling/unable to divide a larger, pre-measured container into smaller units? Does that make sense to you? So unless I wanted to drop $200+ on it, I couldn't purchase that strain. Who does that? While I like their fresh containers, the whole pre-packaged portion is ludicrous. I ended up with the "affordable size" of some other tired strain, which was decent, but not a microgram over 1.0, pre-packaged, of course. RCP never says no, you can't have the good meds if you can't afford more than you need. RCP has never weighed anything spot on at 1.0 or 3.5. They exceed expectations. So, not only was there that unpleasant experience, but I was a new member and went with a new member and neither time were we offered ANYTHING for being new--just a visual tour of the menu boards and a handout of daily specials. Cloud 9, All About Wellness, Hugs, RCP ALL give a new member bonus and show of appreciation. Here? I guess that's reserved for people willing to make larger purchases. My larger purchases (and smaller ones for that matter) will be made elsewhere. Just be aware that if you see something on the menu board you want, and they have it in stock sitting there, it doesn't really mean you can buy it.

Super friendly staff! After relocating to the area recently, I decided to aquire Cannibus the legal way. Immediately following my Dr's visit for my card, I went over to NorthStar and couldn't have had a better experience. While I'm not new to Cannibus, this was my first experience at a club. The security guard was polite as well as the gentleman who assisted me with filling out paperwork. When it was my turn to shop, the young man behind the counter talked me through the entire menu of strains as well as the large variety of products in the case. I must have asked about 50 questions and at no point did I feel like they were tired of answering all of my 'newby' questions.

Northstar Holistic Collective is by far the best club in the greater Sacramento area. I am always satisfied with my choice and always love hearing about new strains to try. I love the Tahoe OG and the Ken's GDP right now, and they always have great medicine for all price ranges,sometimes i want top shelf and some days i want something for half the price, and they have a quality product in every price range. Do yourself a favor and check out Sacramento's NHC today.

its northstar you dummies!!! best club in sac for years.. best for patients, and even better for vendors... if your a vendor then you know how hard it is, and how much of a hassle it can be... nothing better than walking into a spot and the buyer is there when he says he will be, and knows exactly what it is your showing him.. hes so knowledgeable on his line of work i dont even have to talk when i come in except about prices... and the flowers are so good that even when i plan on not buying anything, i always find something i want to try there... and they always have a killer OG in there, and good OGs are the main reason i check out any club as a patient.. BEST CLUB IN SAC BY FAR!!!!!

Quality is great and location convenient, great medicine, helpful bud tenders, pricey, delicious.

Drove 75 miles to check this place out. They have 45. dollar 8ths out the door which would be great if it was not all commercially grown warehouse meds. You can get warehouse medicine for 150 or less an ounce from other places. I asked about the 35 dollar meds and the response was we donate less so we charge less. I knew this was a bold face lie I still picked up a 35 . 8th. Big mistake was not grown correctly because I did not feel a effect at all. The place was clean that is why they were given 2 stars. This place is not special just your run of the mill place. They do not let people park and wait while there passenger is getting med's. Last time I checked you don't own the street and probably don't own the building either. The budtenders are a bit condescending to say the least. FYI just because you work at a collective does not mean you know everything about medicine. No warehouse med's are worth 45 an 8th. You do not have that much overhead to justify the price. People don't know the difference between your med's and quality boutique medicine grown with care in a small garden setting.

What can I say? This place smells amazing! The prices are very reasonable. The gals at the front desk very nice. Even gave us free smell proof bags, on the occasion that they said they had extra.

My go to cannabis club. It can get kinda busy at times in the waiting room but they are always pretty quick at getting people back. The front desk workers/security are always nice. The bud tenders are always on it and have great attitudes! Plus I love that they have happy hour specials which are always pretty great deals!

This place deserves a good four stars in my book. They have street parking which isn't my favorite but never has been without an available spot.  On the way in you pass by a security guard which so far has always been friendly in the few times I have been here, and the new patient sign up process is about average considering a whole lot of initials on plenty of papers but it seemed like as soon as I was done with the paperwork i was able to go into the bud room with plenty of bud tenders.  From what I have seen the quality and prices are for the most part about right and sometimes they have a daily deal for $50 for a half ounce and it's crazy but even that quality seems to be better than some of their top shelves.  The tax is included on the price but it sucks because they don't weigh it out in front of you, it's all pre weighed. Never have been shorted either though and they have a point system which is always a plus.  So far I have not came across a long wait or bad customer service, which is nice. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes peeled for deals and even if not still on my list of top dispensaries in the area so far.

I live in Oakland but anytime I'm in Sacramento, Northstar is my choice for herb. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, with top shelf product.

Still, my favorite dispensary! About 5 years and no one has satisfied me more. Thank you Northstar crew!!

I have been coming to Northstar since before recreational was legal and it was medical only. It has always been my favorite cannabis club/pot shop/ dispensary in Sacramento. From the moment you arrive you feel welcomed. The menus in the waiting room help you decide what you want while you wait. All the bud tenders are friendly and knowledgeable. I come here often and I have nothing bad to say about any of my experiences. They have a rewards points system, deals and patient/customer appreciation days. I frequently am helped by Lauren who has always given me great recommendations. Happy 04/2020!

Ok this place has some of the best quality product in the world. And they know it, so come ready to spend. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We popped in here while visiting Sacramento and got some great Wyld edibles that I'm enjoying. The staff were super knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. They did recommend one party roll that I got for a friend, who said it burned way too fast.Cool stickers too. We will be back!

I've been going to this place for a couple years and to be honest I don't understand why I go to other places sometimes the staff is extremely friendly they have great prices on vegan edibles and in a knowledgeable staff shout out to I believe her name was kamari (don't quote me on that)  who took the time to look at the products for me and discuss what I wanted I wish I had more friends to recommend this place to
