Golden State Greens is my favorite dispensary and even though I have to pay a delivery fee because I live in El Cajon, it's totally worth it because the professionalism of the people working there and the variety of products that they offer are the best around. One person in particular that always helps me out with the highest level of professionalism is Homer.  It is obvious to me that Homer enjoys his work and takes pride in his work. Lastly, GSG are one of the few dispensaries that honor veterans with a 10% discount!

I have been ordering from a few different dispensaries now.  These guys have the best customer service, extremely efficient, and they carry all the products I love.The driver was amazing, well dressed, professional and polite.I will be ordering from here again.

I stopped in for some edibles, they gave me 25% off as a first time customer which was super nice. Davion helped me and was very efficient and quick. He was also very knowledgable about the questions I asked. I was short a dollar and he took it out of his own pocket and put it in for me. I was mortified but he said to not worry and he will see me next time. Great experience and really nice selection.

Garbage starts from the website! Did you guys see the mess, nothing is organized- like it's so difficult to organize by brand? Then it goes the products of course, can you imagine this is considered the largest and bestest dispensery in this city? In so called capitol of cannabis we live in, and for over 30 years cannabis was legal in CA, we are still smoking garbage. What a shame.

The people who work there are professionals. They're polite and kind. But the real hero there for me is Michelle (delivery driver) who's sweet, awesome and HONEST! What a human! I meant to give her 2 five dollars (tip) but instead I accidentally gave her a 5 and a 20 dollar bill, and moments later after she left she called me to make sure that wasn't a mistake...wow! That young lady is a wonderful human being. I wish there were more like her in the world. If I ever see her again she will get that 20 back that she returned. (I would not have even noticed) I wish I had just let her have it. Michelle is a great asset for who ever owns that dispensary. If I was you i'd promote her as she can be trusted and can be a great example for the rest of your employees. Her kind is rare these days. Thank you girl! You're a true gem!

Just found them today after using other dispensaries. I wanted to try something new. I regret it. The website is a cluttered mess, and the flash content used on the site causes glitches. I'm on an Iphone 11 Pro Max, so I know my phones age isn't the issue. I also wasn't fond of the dry and pushy phone service I received when I called to ask a few questions. Make your website more accessible and we wouldn't have to call and bug your staff. I'll check them out later and see if they have improved. It's a no for now. Good luck.

I'm generally not one to write a review but this is long overdue. We've been using GSG since they opened and every delivery has been great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing and able to answer any questions I have. This is especially beneficial if, like me, you're looking for a particular strain and/or a particular type of high. They always have great specials and they hook it up with awesome merchandise upon delivery. I'm currently trying to collect all of their hats. I'm sure other dispensers are good, but I'm going to stick with the best.

Had a great time, it was a bit of a wait but it's all for covid precautions. I love how this place runs and it was a very nice change of pace from the illegal shops I go to in Orange County.

I'm sold on Golden State Greens. Coming down to SD for the weekend and I forgot my pen. Looked for the best dispensary near Liberty Station and here I am. These folks were very welcoming and the price was right. I wish I lived closer so I could make this my regular place. Also, I left my mask in the car when my wife dropped me off, and the security guard gave me a very nice WCG branded mask. Thanks guys!

I'm just here to say that y'all need to give this man a raise. Super polite, patient, professional, and friendly. He single-handedly made my first trip to GSG with my wife in tow a great experience!

We are from the Desert and visit this shop whenever we are in OB and we were lucky that Davion was working today! He is so knowledgeable and patient explaining the taxes etc and recommending the right product for me. He is so respectful with old time manners. Davion, we appreciate you!

Been a loyal member since 2016, used there punched cards since the beginning never had a problem. Today I went in "02/08/2021" the girl told me they no longer honor them. Didn't offer me anything except go online and sign up for our new program. With so many choices in san diego, THAT GIVE BETTER SERVICE AND PRICING AND FREE DELIVERY DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS OUT OF THE WAY BUSINESS.

Laura was the best bud tender I have had in California! She was kind, understanding, listened to all my needs and gave me exactly what I needed with 2 free stickers and a hat! I will be back soon! Thanks again Laura! That girl deserves a raise

Very disappointed. I was a regular customer. They offered a punchcard where I would get $50 off my next order if I had 10 punches. A couple months ago they switched to a computer system. I had six punches on my card plus another two in their computer.   They would not honor the six punches.Terrible customer service and I will never be back. There are plenty of dispensaries in town who would like to have more business

This place was nice and they had lots of options like any other dispensary. Not a big selection of edibles. However, just outside the door it is very sketchy. You're constantly approached for money and the people are very aggressive about it. I would recommend going with a friend for personal safety.If possible, choose another location because one of the people asking for money and talking to themselves grabbed my door handle but it was locked. That's probably not that unusual in of itself, however, this person also went in and out of the dispensary quite comfortably. Again, safety may be important here.

Not coming back here after giving this place two tries and getting different but altogether terrible experiences.There were lots of unhappy customers waiting in line for pickup orders made me feel like I was in a rush to decide the first visit. The guy who was supposed to help me said I couldn't come inside even though there were other people shopping inside. He said they could only take 1 or 2 people at a time because of how many people they had working. It was weird they wouldn't let me shop inside and I definitely felt super rushed from the guy with a mohawk thinking I was second-guessing him or just slowing him down. The prices were really high here but I got a discount for being local that made it okay.I checked out their website the next time to try and do a pickup order and avoid the wait. It's a joke if you want to do online ordering. You can't even use WM to place the order so you're basically forced to call I guess? The whole shopping experience was a mess. I had to get called back twice because they couldn't find the cartridges I ordered so I had to pick again twice. When I came back they had a different system altogether bringing in pickup orders and making people wait outside rather than shop inside. If the COVID crisis is screwing up any SD dispo the hardest, it must be this one. They don't have the same number of selections as other places and without a good FTP discount, it's very overpriced and hard to ignore the lack of knowledge from the employees. The person on the phone must have been brand new and the same goes for the person who tried to check me out. When I picked up my order the guy with a mohawk turned out to be the manager who rushed me and wouldn't let me shop inside. I was kind of shocked and honestly, after reading these other reviews on here, I feel like that's it for me shopping here. The vibes were all wrong from the get-go and even though the specials seem nice, they run out before you can ever get a hold of something decent. Peace out.

I've been a long time patient for years now and used to buy from Golden State Greens every other week, until I had the experience this morning that will never have me return. I was the first customer this morning and immediately as I entered the front entrance I was met by a man with a raised voice asking for my ID and rushing to put on plastic gloves. There was another man sitting down behind the desk that the first person gave my ID to and I was told to go wait in the waiting room as they attempted to check me in. I didn't want to walk away from my license so I stood there, which they seemed to have a problem with. They kept asking me if I have been there before, if it was my first time there, what my phone number was, etc. I've been there more than enough times to know the process and flow of checking in. Walk in. Go to the desk to check in by showing ID. After being checked in by competent staff wait in the waiting room. Wait for name to be called.  I won't be doing business here again. I called moments after driving away to include the names of the two men but the employee said she was unable to provide their names. I asked for a supervisor and spoke to a man named Misa that apologized for the experience and took down my information to call me back. I received a missed call while driving but no voicemail was left. Look GSG, you're dealing with patients. Train your staff for an efficient and seamless experience to avoid losing customers or negative reviews.

I've been to Golden State a few times now. They always have a good selection for my needs. Today Deanna help answer my questions and helped me pick out some Sativa flower, shake and pre-rolls. Friendly, safe, and secure. Thank you Deanna, thank you GSG!

We came here during our visit to San Diego after a recommendation from our Uber driver. The process to get in was very thorough, and they kept the flow of customers going well. Once we were checked in, we were escorted to the store by one of the associates, who seemed extremely knowledgeable and was so helpful! We let him know right away that we weren't super experienced and he was happy to offer some great recommendations! We told him how long we were in town for, and what we wanted, and he brought us a few options. We were super happy with his recommendations, and were able to check out very fast and efficiently!

Great local dispensary. Daveon has consistently been an amazing, charismatic, and helpful budtender and has greatly contributed to this 5 start review!

Went here on a Sunday and was wanded on the way in. The security officer was nice enough, but he was clearly busy shuffling customers. There are two waiting rooms, and we had to wait in both of them. Both the guard and the front desk chica said this was a busy time. No shit. Got inside and went straight to the bud section. I did feel like we were rushed, but it was extremely busy. The edible selection wasn't that impressive, but they have chocolate, gummies, and sodas. Prices are decent.They also have clones to take home and grow. They looked extremely healthy. I'm not sure if this is a common product at pot shops in Cali, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Pick up and some dude with the lord of the rings landing strip haircut gets upset because I told him I had a yelp review  he tells me "next time bro tell them over the phone"  like it was an inconvenience of some sort. Which I did bring up over the phone before coming in, the lady I spoke to said just present it to us when you show up. And so now he's upset I have to look for it on my phone. So he's to impatient to wait says "it's all good bro" finishes the transaction he took off my ten percent student discount and  just gives me a 5 dollar off yelp review?!?!?! Like what?? I Tried to explain to him what he did all he had to say was  "you only get one or the other you're arguing over a dollar at this point". I mentioned he should lose his attitude which he had from the start.I went there two weeks ago had a buddy come in town got a 5 dollar off referral on top of my 10% student discount. So Don't tell me you can't do something that has been done for me before. More upset with the dudes attitude and the lack of respect that was given during this pick up treating me as if I'm trying to screw you guys out of five bucks?  Pretty poor customer service for a guy in customer service.

Had an awesome experience shopping here. Found them on weed maps and their menu + FTP special looked great so I decided to stop by. Deanna my budtender was amazing. I told her what I was there for and she proceeded to recommend a few different options. She was very knowledgeable about their inventory and really made the whole experience great. Was in and out in less than 5 minutes, overall a 5 star experience and will definitely be back. Thanks again Golden state greens and Deanna for taking great care of me!

Great team, clean and organized place. Bud tender was great, she was calm, cool and Collected all attributes in high demand in the high speed service industry. Will continue to visit other facilities to ensure I provide an accurate review compared to this establishments peers.

Fast service very accommodating during covid. The staff was very nice and the line wasn't very long. We were not able to go in though but did receive $5 off for writing this review! Can't rate the inside as I've never been in there.!

Got products here for the first time and my boyfriend ended up in the emergency room with his heart rate at 140 and hallucinations from 10 to 2 am. Brought back the remaining gummies as a precaution since their website says they take back defective products for exchanges and they wouldn't take them so I'm stuck with something I'm never gonna use. Never coming here again. He almost died but god forbid they lose 10 fucking dollars.

If you like feeling buyers remorse everytime you go to get weed have fun. I won't even go here for emergencies now. Security is rude, particularly one woman and things are so overpriced you will be lucky  to catch a buzz for 20$ at a minimum.  I've been going to dispensary's all over since they have opened. This is a NO GO, something line 42% tax. Way better options on delivery or places like THC "the healing center" or March and ash just a couple more minutes away. I have nothing to do with these places either... btw. Save yourself the trouble of feeling like you got robbed. Sorry  not sorry this is the truth. Fix your prices and maybe be a little friendlier. Check my yelp history if you think I'm talking bad for nothing. I only review for really good which is most of the time and very seldom negative soo. Be advised, doing my job as a response peer reviewing citizen. This is what reviews are for and this Is my honest option.

I buy a lot of weed there. I usually have a great experience, unfortunately I won't be going back anytime soon. I went in there recently and noticed that not only are they NOT taking precautions to keep their customers safe, but they are obviously not keeping their employees safe. I was appalled at how close people were to each other! They were crammed in there. Customers were in employees faces! Wtf! Hello! Pandemic! Covid-19 is real! You need to protect everyone! You should be doing pick up only! People that are buying cannabis usually have health issues! Figure something safe out. Also I've seen your Instagram memes. Not funny. Now is not the time to make jokes. Whoever is posting those is a jerk.

I unfortunately witnessed 2 obviously BLIND customers get turned away for having their seeing eye dog. The woman very calmly explained she can't leave the dog outside the building, as the dog is her eyes. The girl at the desk was extremely rude, and continued to tell them they couldn't stay and they weren't welcome with a service animal. The soft-spoken couple was going to leave without a reasonable explanation of why their rights are being infringed on. I interjected and I asked to speak to the manager. I told him, to my knowledge it is not legal to deny service unless the animal is posing a threat. Well, this golden retriever was doing nothing but working as eyes for his owner. The manager stated that it is "posted all over the building", and followed it up with "It is a private establishment so they don't have to follow the rules". Yup. He said that. They did not offer to help her or offer another solution, only to leave her dog outside. Anyone that knows that area, knows there is an ongoing issue with the homeless population and violence - not to mention the man literally sleeping 12 feet away from the front door at that moment. So after dark in that area, I understood why she didn't feel comfortable leaving her trained service animal outside. I offered to stay with the dog, but the sweet couple said they didn't want to give the business any of their money, understandably. It was insanity to see these clearly disabled people get turned away. Again, they had to call someone, wait for another ride to come pick them up and then go elsewhere. They were pretty upset outside while I was talking to them, it was heartbreaking and felt very unfair. Just to add fuel to the fire - for a 2nd reason not to go there, though unrelated to today's BS. A few months ago a friend had preordered some medication. Inadvertently, the cashier gave her change to ANOTHER patient. A $50 mistake. After watching the cameras, and confirmed it was the employee's error, they still wouldn't make up the difference for their mistake. They told my friend she could get her money back IF the other customer comes back, admits she was given too much change and returns the money. As for today, the girl with the AWFUL guest service at the desk, warranted her own horrible yelp review. Her attitude was so off-putting from the second we first interacted I actually apologized to some of the "newbies" in the waiting room for her attitude, and said they're usually more friendly than that. Even another guest agreed. Jason was the manager that did an entertaining job of not giving an explanation of why the dog was a threat to other than it was the owners idea, and if someone is on chemo. The ironic part is I AM ON CHEMO! Here is a little insider information for you Jason and owner; patients that are neutropenic, high-risk, have compromised immune systems, etc., that are touching the doorknob handle of your establishment, and sitting hip-to-hip with some stranger (some of them not so cleanly) on your waiting bench - I'm fairly confident they don't mind a dog across the room that's helping a woman that is BLIND. Speaking from experience, pet dander will be the least of patients worries, people that are severely compromised wear masks, if they're even going out of the house at all. And realistically, you and your employees have more pet dander releases from your clothing than the seeing eye dog being in there for 5 minutes. Just sayin. I understand where you're coming from and not wanting people to abuse the service animal rule, but there have to be exceptions. Like a SEEING EYE DOG. I'm assuming this isn't the first time having a blind patron, hopefully after tonight there will be a protocol set in place. Heck, I'll even draft one for them to ensure next people are spared being offended, embarrassed and turned away. I've learned after 2 unnecessary incidents, and hope you do too, to avoid this business. *This incident took place many months ago, I had it drafted and apparently never posted. Better late than never

I purchased a disposable vape from this location. I returned home to see that it was past it's "best by" date. I immediately called the store telling them what the box says and was told to come right back in and that they're, "So sorry. That shouldn't be on our shelf."I got back in my car and was back in the store less than 15 minutes later. A really nice redhead took the vape back behind closed doors and told me that the date is, "just something companies have to put on there and that it doesn't matter." I said, "That's totally fine, but if that's the case why was I told to come right back?" She walked away again behind closed doors and said her manager can't do anything and he has nothing to replace it with due to some new regulation which took all of the other disposable vapes off the shelf. She was a total sweetheart! My issue is with whoever spoke to me on the phone and management. Don't tell your customer over the phone that the product shouldn't be on the shelf, and ask them to come right back to replace it if you aren't going to...1. Replace the item2. Come out and speak to the customer face to face3. Offer any kind of apology or incentive to come back for your lack of forethought.Customer service. Google it.

Shady!  A creepy bouncer will greet you at the door, take your drivers license away from you and ask you to go sit in a room while he creates a 'profile' for you.  What the hell kind of identity stealing bull#&*&$ is going on over there?    Skip this shady dump and go somewhere else.  Ain't nobody got time for this hole.

This is the worst place ever, it's super small and shady looking!! The staff is rude and Unknowledgeable about products. They are super overpriced and have a crappy selection. The preroll we bought tasted like some old school brick  Mex weed from the border, smelled like hay. Don't waste your time here, plenty of awesome places to go here in SD!!!!

Golden State Greens continues to be the best dispensary in San Diego, and it's their staff that makes them just that! I always get above and beyond service when I go in and due to covid-19 today was the first time I used their delivery service. Samantha answered the phone and she was an absolute doll! She was polite, helpful, and charismatic. The delivery was fast considering them being short staffed and my delivery driver (Brian I believe(red prius)) was communicative and professional.  And to top it off, they threw in some extra goodies like a travel sun screen and a koozie! If you want a boujee, uptight dispensary,  go some where else. If you want real people who really care about helping you, there is no other option than GSG! Thank you guys and keep up the great work!

Please allow me to explain...I came to this dispensary my first time ever being in SD back in 2017 & then came here exclusively since I moved here for over a year. Staff is friendly generally but had a bad experience with the manager so I will no longer be putting my money into this place.I've brought friends & family here, and have easily spent well over $1k here. I have chronic pain r/t Lyme disease & endometriosis with a history of several surgeries, as well as PTSD. I am also a nurse & caregiver. I recently purchased an Orchid battery for $25 and $70 orchid cartridge... and it stopped working within 2 days. I brought back both items WITH RECEIPT, and the manager shrugged his shoulders and basically said I'd have to just eat the loss -there's nothing he can do.Really, nothing? An even exchange? Store credit? Anything?? Living by biweekly paycheck & having to "eat $100" was pretty cruel indeed. Let's get a few things straight, if you choose to purchase your cannabis here, you will Wait to be seen for at least 15-25 mins every time, & their prices are ridiculous, I am just coming to realize after going elsewhere. For example, smokies sour peach rings are $23 at GSG & only $18 another store, the exact same product sealed in the exact same package. Also quality 1/8ths were around $10-15 LESS at another store (can't name or my review gets deleted).There are legal, certified dispensaries with "cannabis you can trust" EVERYWHERE & offering way better pricing. Don't be fooled by marketing & punch cards. -- Peace out GSG... I will spend my hard earned cash & dignity elsewhere.

Would give this joint negative stars if I could!Wanted to try out a new place. The worst customer service ever! The staff was extremely rude with a major attitude. Also, the guy who served me didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Perhaps he was high. Apparently these people didn't really want business. The products are really expensive too. I turned around and left. Super disappointed!

Pretty cool place. Everyone was really nice and they have wide selection of products. They have hats,shirts and other merchandise. Never get pre rolls, just a tip. The carts are strong and clean. No one seemed to know the prices to a lot of stuff and I thought it was weird that they would have one budtender take care of 4 people. Seems like it took a lot longer than it should have.

Don't bother with their Delivery service... Best case they're incredibly slow. In my case, driver decided to no-call no show. Waste of 2.5 hours sitting by the phone. I could've walked to 4 closer dispensaries, next time I'll do

Totally jacked up a simple transaction. Apparently they are allowed to sample the products while on the clock.Usually I have had positive experiences here but today was the total opposite, and on multiple fronts unfortunately. Guess I should stop paying taxes and go back to supporting my buddies.

Super friendly and attractive staff. Large and wide selection of goods to try in different forms. Located in a business park close to the 8 and Modern Times Brewing. The wait can get a little crazy so come early. Maybe get a massage across the street before or after.

I am writing this review in specific to the excellent customer service and knowledge Davion my bud-tender provided to me. He has extensive knowledge of all products and he was able to identify exactly what I wanted and what were the options of the price range I was looking for. Davion did so with terrific customer service and professionalism. I recommend this place 100%

Worst managers and bud tendors My girl can't speak English. Gave her a note that said best quality. They sold her some shake!We went back in there and they haggled us for an hour and offered no compensation. So unsatisfied. On 420. Hour in the sun in line. Hour haggling for service. And told that we are taking up their time they won't offer any compensation and because we took up their time we are black balled. They could of just discounted us for some top quality for selling us a whack bag of shake. Black balled for being an unhappy customer. Black balled for being ripped off. Came for quality, wanted to pay for the best and got the worst. Worst service worst management. First and last time ever going to this dump. Especially if your Spanish speaking avoid these crooks. They don't care.You will also see that they shuffle you around like it's county jail with security guards. Seat to seat. Super small. No parking. In an industrial tweaker zone shady spot

Hit and MissI've had some really good experiences with golden greens and some not-so-great.. because of the prices they were never my go-to but occasionally something would pop up in my price range or be too good to pass up and for the most part it was puppies and sunshine... Perhaps because of my appearance or the fact that I just wasn't much of a high roller I never felt very much warmth from the bud tenders like I do at THCSD ( they also have the best consistent deals and promos in San Diego) I did buy an ounce from GSG once which was pretty awesome... but recently I had  one of those "straw that broke the camel's back" type cenarios has played out. Everything has changed so much with Weedmaps I was scanning through to find out what deals these guys had present and noticed that they were selling an ounce for $150 again and it would sure to be a big name cannabis companies selling their small buds to a packing company which makes it an outstanding deal. I also looked to see that the wording had changed in their ad from first-time PATIENT to first-time CUSTOMER receiving 25% off for San Diego residents. Being overjoyed at my good fortune I called Golden State Greens on the phone and requested to speak to a manager (which by the way I never spoke to) but instead the person that answered the call decided to be a n a go-between instead of letting me speak to a manager and when I explained that when I first came to Golden State Greens I was led to believe that I was not entitled to the 25% because it was only for those with a medical marijuana card... But they said you're in luck you get 10% off for being a veteran... I said please tell me something I don't know I tried to reiterate my situation and say you can look in your records and see with my transactions that I never use. 25% discount. she said well our system has changed so we don't have access to the record to verify that you never used your discount... but we can still give you your 10% or $5 for a Yelp review... I then asked can you not then simply take my word can you convey this to the manager please? She said I already spoke to the manager and I'm telling simply telling you what I was told... Shaking and trembling from frustration and disappointment my voice was cracking a little bit but I said okays I leave you a Yelp review... Thus ends my "on again off again" relationship with Golden State Greens... Have a nice day!!! Hope you all stay Covid-19 free the rest of your days!!!

Golden State Greens is our local dispensary & we are so happy that they're in our neighborhood. They always have great specials going on, the staff is knowledgeable/helpful & it's a nice establishment. Pro tip: order ahead for pick up, sometimes the wait can be 10-15 min.

The FTP deal excellent and Budtender Mo was super helpful and they are the one of the few spots with kings garden carts! Thank you golden state greens I will be back!

Golden State Greens in Point Loma is just what the doctor ordered ! This is one of the better, more efficient dispensaries in the area in my opinion. I say that because every time I have visited theses guys, they have always been on point in helping me out. What , or why I frequent this establishment is, if I have body aches, I explain to them what is bothering me. These guys say, no problem get one of these. If I need to just chill and relax , boom they got you on that. I'm not even going to get into the abundance of edibles they have if you're looking for that. Its a buffet of goodies basically that seem endless. From the different strands in flower (Indica ,Sativa, and Hybrids)  to the wax, even down to the concentrates , G.S. is on point. You can even quench your thirst if it's too much to take in at first, but use caution with what beverage you go with. You know , just saying.In all I am happy with G.S. , I am not worried, and you shouldn't be worried with the negative reviews from others. Those complaining about a wait time? Seriously? Wouldn't you rather have someone taking the time with you explaining what the product actually does for you, instead of just taking your money . If you can't appreciate that , then just go find that street hustle . You'd change your mind then. Also for those who lack the patience, you can look on "Weed Maps".  Give them a call, and they gladly deliver it to you, or have it set aside for you to be picked up.

What a great outlet Golden State Greens is for the area. Exceptional products, well informed staff & personal customer service. I find it a learning experience as well every time I'm here. Equally as impressive is the daily deals. This is my absolute go-to dispensary! I feel like they're always open, and they're SO nice and friendly and knowledgeable. It's also so easy to order online or in person! I've been coming here for years and I won't go anywhere else.

Really nice selection of flowers and Edibles. It didn't take long in the waiting line bud tender was really good very helpful knowledgeable in all there products. Very clean inside!! Staff had masks and gloves.

I had a couple of cartridges delivered a few weeks ago. They just stopped working, not hitting. They are prob 80% full. An indica and a hybrid. I thought it was my battery so I got a new one but it's the cartridges. I called and asked if there's anything they could do to help me out and they said I needed the receipt and all the packaging that came with the cartridges. Dude, I throw that stuff out. Thanks I'll shop somewhere else. Mucho other options in SD

I had called in a pick up order and the total had came out to $47.98. The guy on the phone never asked nor tried to up sale to $50 to get a card punch. When I arrived to pick up my order he said " I'll note this on your file so they can discount you on your next order ". When I called to purchase my next order the person on the phone said there was nothing on your file. So I called back and asked to speak to a manager OR someone higher up. The higher up basically said  doesn't matter how much you order we can't help you.. ha ha.. screw That company. If that's how they want to be then I'll steer everyone I know plus more... hope they can fix this problem

been going here for month on end everyone been super helpfulnever had to talk to the manager until today dudes an absolute scum bag told me i could return on the phone if products not opened get there after a 15 minute drive for the washed up old man to tell me he doesnt take returns anymore. if the manager wasnt such a dickhead about it i would feel alot better but now im kinda done with the place if the manager said hey would have heard me out and said like oh sorry that happened maybe we can get u 25% off ur next purchase or something and wasnt such a dick then maybe i wouldnt have wroten this point is dont say one thing if your not gonna accommodated that. IF you ever have to talk to the manager i suggest not to because hes just gonna be an asshole i would love to speak with his manager because he was getting really mad with me when i was as clam as anybody would be.

Cannabis people are cool and knowledgeable. The place seems to run by the security guards which are a bunch of morons! Zero people skills! Never going back!

As I walked in I told the guy helping me I wanted a sativa dominant hybrid 8th for around $50. He showed me one which was actually indica dominant hybrid  and told me it was sativa dominant. He showed me a second which actually was sativa dominant but he really recommended the first one, so I got it. I'm stuck with the wrong product as there's no refunds. I gotta walk in knowing more than the staff for what I'm looking for that's roughI trusted him he seemed to know what's up he looked like Afro Samurai

Great service but way to expensive and no freebies , I spent 125 for a half oz and tipped 5 bucks with no free pre roll . Also the biggest bag I could buy was half oz they don't have much options over 1/8 like wtf I wanted to buy a oz .. I will not be returning there are other clubs with the consumer more in mind that give more freebies out .

Long waits, rude front desk, no rewards program after using them 5-6 times, and expensive

First time back at golden state greens in a while. I'm visiting town and had two choices urbn leaf and golden state. I know the lines at urbn are usually pretty long and it'll be around 20 minutes before the whole endeavor is over. However here st golden state I was in n out 3 minutes and back in less than 5 to get a joint. I had Alexia as my bud tender which was the perfect experience short sweet and to the point. She even told me about their deals which I took full advantage of. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you're nearby!

The place is nice enough , the only thing that ruined my experience is me feeling rushed. I personally take my time checking out the different products ESPECIALLY because it was my first time there and because it's a busy place they rush you in and out and I kept getting side eyed like hurry up. If you already know what you want cool but if you are someone like me who wants to really get a good look around and make sure their product is worth the money,  it is not the spot. I got so annoyed with the salty looks I just left and went to another one where my time and my money were well appreciated.

Totally different place since Rec passed.Very disappointed with my last experience. I used to be able to go here and address my concerns for wanting to use strictly medicinal oriented strains that won't give me bad anxiety and to help with my brain injury. Basically all I got was a list of strains that are the exact opposite to what I was looking for, sales that were running, and just a different interaction from the staff than I was used to.I went to another dispensary after being a long time customer of Point Loma, I was taken aside and asked thoroughly about what I am looking for and what is going to help the best with my condition.This was how it used to be when I visited here, but now it's all about crunching sales to them. It's not only disappointing but frankly very unfortunate being that this used to be the only place I trusted.

I was a first time patient and purchased two eights (Ghost OG). Since I was a first time patient, they hooked it up with 25% off after taxes. Package was sealed and what not but after opening it and scaling it out, each eighth did NOT equal to 3.5 at which it's supposed to be. Each sealed package was 2.2. I called in and spoke to the manager and they stated that there wasn't anything they can do about it unless I came in the same day. I live 30 miles away from the dispensary and have 4 kids to attend to. Manager was NOT understanding at all. I was recommended to this place by Trish from Hirie. I am definitely NEVER coming back there again. If you want to get skimped, feel free. I suggest you scale out your flowers after your purchase because you are most likely not getting what you paid for.

I've been to four other dispensaries, and found Golden State to be the most unprofessional, to the point where it bordered on a shady business. I don't mind waiting awhile, especially since the bud tenders I HAVE worked with at other dispensaries have been really knowledgable and helpful. However, the guy who helped me at Golden State didn't seem to know anything about his product. He was rude and dismissive, and the vibe of the employees here was that they wanted to rush people through and make their money. My parents have some serious medical issues, and I wanted to get them some CBD and THC products that would help my dad with his journey into death with hospice, and my mom with her Parkinson's disease. But the guy here didn't want to hear about anything about why I was there or how his product could help me and my family. Then, when I went to pay for what I did decide to try, he'd grabbed the largest tincture, which was $50 more than the one I'd wanted. Like I said, he was not listening to me at all. Or, dare I say, he wanted to rip me off. I'd have done better if I'd gone in by myself and shopped around without a bud tender (but that's not an option here), or whatever this guy was. He was awful. The energy of the place was awful.I did try the tincture I bought there for myself for pain. I'd asked my bud tender some questions about it, and he couldn't even tell me how many drops to start with. So far I am not at all impressed with the product. I don't know even know if this stuff is legit., and would highly advise against Golden State, especially since there are so many other dispensaries who are caring, have good product, and a healing vibe.

This is by far my favorite dispensary. They always have the best bud selection and the highest thc levels. I'm never disappointed when I come here and they have some of the best deals around.

*************Really bad dispensary ************ BIG LANE and my first answer was:The guys have a specific strain (Indica with high CBD) because I don't want waiting in this lane and the girl told me:- "we don't have the Afghan Kush but we have a REALLY CLOSE similar". First mistake, 6 people's arrival after me but the employees called before me. After I asked what's happening the guys call meAfter 6 people's came in my front and the attendant told me, "sorry,,,, my apologize" the server tried to sell me any hybrid or Sativa,,,,, but the issue was,,,, before anything, I tolde him,,, I just wanna a indica with high cbd !!!!!REALLY BAD SERVICE AND REALLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES!!!!

I started coming to this place recently because i was tired of buying cartridges that had been messed around with or knock offs or whatever. So I thought that since this place is more regulated they'd be legit right... and they were at first, so I was like cool they're legit. I bought several different brands of vape pens and cartridges cause I wanted to get a feel for what I liked. I usually go for heavier hitters so I bought some of those and they were cool. Then I went in and ended up buying a king pen battery and cartridge. The girl helping me recommended it. And it was so smooth and yummy that I went back in for another one... same kind as last time, dude just reached up and grabbed it from the same spot. I went out to my car and opened it up and I noticed that the logo was different, it was much bigger than the first one I got, so that was strange but ok but it was super sticky and even looked it was a little less than full so I was like hell no, took it back cause it's leaky. Everyone was like I'm so sorry! Dude that helped me out before walks me in and then he goes into a back room for like five minutes like long enough for me to read some information flow chart and I was just kind of like okay what's he doing back there whys it taking so long. And he comes back and he's like so yeah I tested it out and it works fine so maybe it's your battery and he hands it back to me and it's not sticky anymore and I'm like but I brought it back cause it was leaky not cause it didn't work with my battery. He's like yeah sometimes they're sticky. I'm like okay whatever I take it home. Still very suspicious. It doesn't taste as smooth as the other one. It doesn't even taste like the same strain. It actually tastes kind of shitty and my throat is burning the more I use it. And I keep staring at the cartridge like why is this logo bigger ??? And I'm searching king pens IG for a different logo like the one I got and there's none. And eventually the cartridge starts making this sizzling sound every time I hit it. I'm like wtf. And it's tasting chemical-like. I'm like okay somethings not right. So I take it off my battery. Turn it upside down. Check for a leak. But instead notice that this really fast moving liquid is separating from this other very slow moving liquid. And eventually it stops and there's an air bubble between them and the slow one is coming down super slow so I'm like hmm... and i put it back on the battery and take a hit and it is smooth and there is no sizzling. Make of this story what you will, I'm not coming back here. They either sold me a fake king pen knowingly or someone sold them a fake king pen and they unknowingly sold it to me. But the signs are all there that this cartridge was tampered with.

Awesome job guys and gals!  First time in and treated as such.  Very happy with my experience and look forward to returning next time I'm in town!!

I won't go here anymore and don't recommend it as well. For a company that made a mistake, normally I assume a customer is offered something as a way to make up for it.   Instead just making the customer feel like it doesn't matter is a sign for me to take business else where.

I have loved this place since day one as far as vibe, appearance, staff and selection. The wait time is killing me however. Every time I go it's like 1/2 hour wait time minimum. I tried to do the order ahead thingy but well I don't want to download another app (or my phone doesn't want to more than me fu apple) so that was a no go.Anyway i started exploring other store fronts recently because of it. I found a better one without the wait only the selection is not as good. I guess you have to pick your battles when it comes to these places.

Five stars all around. They have great deals and specials and the staff was super helpful. Would recommend more of a wax selection but the flower options were amazing

I have usually had a good experience with Golden State - with helpful and friendly service - even with prices that seem slightly high. But I finally had an experience on Saturday that caused me to drive home irritated and very disappointed. The girl who was helping asked the usual questions and I clearly let her know my preferences. After looking at a few strains, I picked one that I was confident I would like and had been quoted a reasonable price on an 1/8 of $45. When we went to the cashier I was told the total with taxes was $60, to which I immediately responded that $15 for taxes seemed awfully high. The cashier and my sales girl both started arguing that this was a very highly regarded strain, and it was $55. I said that I understood it is high quality, but I was still quoted $45. At that point the sales girl admitted she did indeed mistakenly quote me $45. Then she says "hold on", while she quickly went to the cupboard and pulled out another 1/8 - "here you go, $45", she says. I thought that was interesting.But when I went out to my car and started to drive away, I decided I better check what I actually had in my bag. It was a completely different strain that we had never talked about! Then I saw the receipt said clearly "No returns." I felt totally screwed and bamboozled, but felt I had no recourse with these people. I will actually think twice before going back to Golden State.

This was the first dispensary I'd ever been to and had no idea what to expect. I had a few hours to kill and some tips to burn. I did know that it's a cash industry and that most have ATM's. I google dispensaries my location and weedmaps comes up. I did a quick scan of the site and the locations nearby and chose the one with the highest/most ratings. There is no real signage, so trust the maps. One way streets both ways, always on the right. I was apprehensive, but talking with the clerk she had me fill out a form, show my ID for scanning into their database and to wait in the lobby. The lobby has a bathroom. There must be armed security on site, so you'll get seen before the register. A weedtender will come get you, ask if you are Med or Rec as your options are different depending on designation. They separate it by sides, left is medical, right is recreational. They are super busy, so I did feel like the first few times we couldn't get on the same page about what I was looking for. That doesn't mean the customer service isn't bad, they are good, but you have a few minutes is how I felt due to the crowds. There will be 5-6 customers inside, 5-6 people in the lobby, 5-10 people waiting outside. They do move pretty quickly, but I'd order ahead if you are on your lunch break. They do deliveries, which is another level of convenience.They have a large selection of vape, flower, pre rolls, tinctures, edibles, extract. My elbows are bad from shaking drinks, so I got some emu oil medicated lotion with cbd, didn't quite do what I needed it to, but the flavrx edibles are the cheapest around. There are other places that have more CBD stuff, but this has a lot of brands, a lot of products. It can be convenient, inexpensive, and a great experience. I highly recommend doing your research beforehand, or be like me and just come back a bunch until you feel comfortable. Now we wait for it to be federally legalized.

I am a 100% disabled combat veteran that was denied entry into the establishment because of my service dog. They denied me entry and based it on "someone might be allergic to dog dander." They have a sign saying they're abiding by ADA laws (federal and state) by refusing service because they feel the animal is a threat quoting ADA law. Allergies and fear of dogs are not legally valid reasons for refusing entry to a disabled person with a trained service dog. If you support your military and your disabled person(s). Do not buy from here and go to SDRC.

This is one of the only dispensaries I go to since it became fully legal.  I love this spot.  If you plan it right no line but, even if there is a line they move fast!  Friendly and knowledgeable bud tenders.  Very little personality conflicts most times.  One of my favs being Trinity!  I would Recommend this  spot to anyone!

the last time I came in I had a horrible experience that costed me money. I told my budtender (Lauren) that i like chewy fruit edibles and that I usually get the Wyld brand. I was recommended to get the Chalice brand since they were having a buy one get one free deal. She told me that they tasted just like the Wyld brand, in texture and flavor. I double checked with her on this because I use CBD as medicine and it's important to me that my money be spent on the right products. but she obviously has never tried the Chalice before, because they are rock hard candies. I can't even take a bite out of them. When I came back in the next day with my receipt to exchange the edibles, the budtenders that were helping me (Lauren, again) did not give me the best customer service. She was surprised that the edibles were hard candy, she thought they were soft. I was told they couldn't do anything for me, no discount on a future purchase, no exchanges, no returns. I left feeling really ripped off and frustrated, which is no way a customer should leave the store. I talked to a manager named Ryan the next day and all he could do was 20% off my next order. I won't be coming here anymore. Awful experience.

The service provided by the employees is outstanding and so is their product.  But they try to scam repeat customers.  But be careful to save ALL of your receipts. This place will charge you a $5.00 littering fee.  I know three people that they tried this scam on and one person actually had his receipt to prove it was a scam. They only apologized to him and gave him his usual discount.

Everyone here is always in a good mood! They get you in quick, most I've ever waited is 10 minutes. Their product is always good too. Most prepackaged 1/8s and I would always get annoyed at the ones in the bags because I can't see the flower! Bought it anyway, was totally bomb. I love their loyalty punch card too because I'm serious at this place so much that it's nice to get some back!

I went there and they were ruder than rude. I asked a couple of questions about products and a woman snapped at me "Why don't you look it up on the internet?" The entire attitude of the staff was surly. I said I just wanted to check the place out and had not decided to buy anything and she told me to come back when I am ready which will be never. Add to that the run down interior that looked like a fixed up garage and the poor selection and prices. I have been to other places and they were much classier that this dive.

We were greeted in the waiting room by security and were called in within minutes and served by a kind bud tender who answered all of our questions with gusto. Thanks Kenzie! We love weed.

DONT ORDER PICKUP!!I am truthly upset with the pickup service. I called and asked for 4 CBD honey straws and I got 4 THC straws instead. I also asked for an 8th of their Obama strain (very good) and all I got were tiny dry old nugs when I requested big nugs. I went back and got the THC straws replaced for the CBD, however for the 8th that I got, the budtender said I could not have my 8th replaced with what I originally ordered. I spent close to $100 and left super pissed. I will not be going back any time soon.

Do not come here if you are disabled!!! I was denied access to this location because of my disability. It's unfortunate that a place made to serve those with disabilities would deny access to a legitimate service dog team. The doorman said right away that no dogs were allowed, and as I went on to explain the ADA and why denying me access was illegal, he said it didn't matter. I am a professional dog trainer and I know the laws around service dogs and access rights. This was a gross violation of the law and totally unacceptable.

Timothy was awesome! He was so helpful for a rookie from out of state. Received great recommendations. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is the check in process. I would definitely return to golden state greens.

Prices are high. Don't really have good deals. Everyone is super nice but we had to go out of the exit and not the entrance so we had to walk the block to get back to our car that was next to the entrance.

They have a $50 off stamp card that you can use after 10 visits. Prices are not the best and customer service is hit or miss but it's good quality for sure and kinda worth it.

Golden state greens is a real cool place. Visiting from Illinois so it was a great experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick pick up.

I've been coming here for the past 6 years, back when they had one counter and were a co-op they had a quick minute when they offered recreational that it was too crowded and if I didn't keep mentioning that I have a medical card that I wouldn't see the products I needed. But since they got back to their old setup with jars to checkout and more variety it's still a treat to come here. Will be back soon and always recommending people

I placed an order over the phone with Tanya.  She was extremely helpful when discussing edibles and checking inventory.  Walked me through the delivery process, what I would need at the delivery.  Amount, license and punch card.  Also due to the Corona Virus we developed a plan for delivery without compromising myself or the driver.  The prices at Golden State Greens are great.  They have specials and also discounts for Seniors and Military.  Plus punch cards!  I would recommend them and use them exclusively for my purchases.

I am just visiting today and it's my first time, set up seems ok, one thing I didnt like was that they didn't give you your ID back right away and they just pile them up....only because I had to think about it the whole time till I got it back. Pretty nice staff.

I wish they took credit cards, but the selection is mint, prices are reasonable, and the staff knows their stuff, is friendly, and efficient.Go on a nice day and enjoy the wait to get in. It's marijuana...ain't nobody in a hurry.

Golden state greens is your one stop shop for all things cannabis! The staff is really friendly as well as knowledgeable on their products. They helped me figure out I was more of a sativa person than indica! Haha I would definitely recommend this place to anyone new to cannabis or existing Rec users!

I expected so much more based on reviews. First, I'll say that the girl that helped me was super sweet but she had absolutely NO idea how to answer my questions which are pretty standard in the dispensary world. I heard other Budtenders explaining the effects of CBD, CBN, THC, etc, so clearly some of them know what they are talking about. I sooo wish she would have simply said, "I don't know but why don't I find somebody who does". I drove from Carlsbad (25mi one way) for items that were showing in stock on their menu. My bad for not calling ahead but it would have been great if somebody could have at least been able to give me a legitimate and confident recommendation for something they did have. When I tried to ask other people behind the counter, I quickly got the clear impression they were too busy to help me. I picked up a few items I didn't really need and spent my money at Torrey Holistics. Their staff was 100% kind and welcoming, as well as super educated and confident about making product recommendations. Price, parking, location, etc is totally irrelevant when customer service is this bad. PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR STAFF!!! Customer service like this is completely unacceptable for those of us that rely on these products for medication!

Lost my 'source' of 4+ years and have tried multiple dispensaries over the past several months. Finally came across GSG and have now stopped my search. I love the variety in products. Knowledgeable staff are always friendly and provide exceptional service.

This place is a prime example of the gentrifiers getting in on the legal cannabiz market and making a bunch of money while everyone else gets shut down/put in jail. You walk in, they check your ID, then make you sit in the waiting room. That's pretty normal, except for the fact that they hold on to it till they let you in? Why is this a thing? Every other dispensary gives your ID right back to you. Finally after the waiting period a creepy salesman escorted me in. Apparently they have to hold your hand the entire time and you're not allowed to browse at your leisure and make up your own mind. I asked the guy very simple questions about the products and he just read the labels and couldn't provide any detailed answers. He also was just not interested in customer service AND I felt like he was rushing me. To make matters even worse, everything is way overpriced! People who consume cannabis would be way better off growing their own or at the very least visiting another dispensary. Who gave these people a business license to sell cannabis? Why are all these yelpers giving five star reviews? The cops should be shutting this place down, not your friendly neighborhood dispensary. I'm so tired of hearing their ads on the radio. What a joke.

So I had written a pretty nasty review a while ago due to a bad experience. (Long story short they had taken a customer before who came in AFTER me, then told me it was because I was a first time patient when I was NOT) so I obviously stopped coming. I decided that maybe they had gotten new management or employees and wanted to give them a try.  They have on their RECORD that I'm BLACKLISTED "due to a negative review". Are you kidding?! The business not only gave me the worst service, they don't even care to make it right. Just blacklist you and move on! Haha! I would never recommend this place. Ever. Can't wait to see this place go under!

why did we pay $18 for one gram and why did my first time patient deal get cancelled out by the tax..... :( feeling: finessed

I like this store and the employees are friendly. The waiting room gets pretty full wish there was a bigger spot to wait on days where the small room gets full...sometimes it takes a lil while to be brought into the store to purchase I get bored easily... it's a great clean place with great choices! I always ask for blackberry kush and I can't ever get my hands on it it's my fave!! But overall five stars...they carry nor cal stuff like Mendocino county products I'm a supporter of the locally grown products. Love the name of the company too. They have a $50 discount program if you purchase $50 x10 you rcv the $50 off. Pretty cool. Security is great too.

New favorite shop in San Diego! Ideal location near the freeway makes it easy for those coming or going in Point Loma. All the staff is super friendly and I always see familiar faces. Last time I came Alexis G was my budtender and referred me to some awesome products. Today she checked me in and remembered me and got me added to their mailing list so I get all the info on their specials . Even the security staff is super friendly! Ruben P was funny and super informative on ways to get the best deals and times to swing by. Of the 3 stores I've been to in SD this one stands out above the rest.

As far as dispensaries go, this one is great. They have a good selection of all types of cannabis, ranging from flower, to oil cartridges to edibles. The process has always been fast for me and the staff seems to know what they're talking about. The ATM on site is a must so the level of convenience is great. They sell a new type of flower called Locul that is right from Ocean Beach and boy oh boy is it fire. Such a great Sativa that makes me Aderol productive. Perfect Wake and Bake.

Great service and selection. Staff was really helpful. They helped me find the perfect concentrate and edibles for my arthritis. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the San Diego area.

Excellent customer service! I have been visiting since I started my chemotherapy treatment in 2015. Knowledgeable staff and they explain products thoroughly before you take them home. They have a vast variety from the actual bud, vapes, tincture oil and edibles. I am a fan of the tinctures as they've helped curve my migraines and joint pain/neuropathy. They have a good mix of THC/CBD levels/oils to help with different ailments. Clean and everyone is really kind from the entrance with security to the attendants helping you out when you purchase. This is a place worth spending your money at!

Don't buy here!!!! Im visiting from out of town and placed my order at noon. I was told a delivery time between 1pm and 2:30. At 2:35, I called to check on my order and was told that there was an administrative error and they didnt call. They claimed I would need to wait another 30 min. ANOTHER hour went past without a call. This time, when I called, they said there was a mistake (another one) and the driver would be there within 30 min. So let's recap, 3.5 hours after my order, 1.5 hours past my expected delivery time. It's obvious that this business doesn't care about their clients. After expressing the frustration and that I had expressed zero frustration when they first delayed the order, and asking for some type of compensation, they advised "all they could do is a 10% coupon for my next order".. I live over 700mi away. It's clear that there was nothing they WOULD do. A preroll would have shown their compassion, a sample of another product, ANYTHING...

I updated my review after a manager called to inquire about the facts that caused my initially less than stellar review. That was great customer service. He advised me to ask for a bud tender who knows what options are available for your needs. The prices are in line with other reputable dispensaries and they run monthly specials. The loyalty card is fair...$50 free after $500+ in purchases. Overall: If you use cannabis for medical reasons ask for someone who knows something about your condition.

I love coming to golden state greens mostly the because the employees are so cool.  Each one has a different personality and all seem genuinely kind. I don't like paying all these taxes and stuff but at least I feel like I'm going to the right dispensary. Well, nothing better than calling in your order and doing a quicky pick up.  Well, it sure beats waiting in a long line.  Ok, I admit I like going in and shopping.  Kind of like going to the candy store when you were a kid.

Stupid me- bad service them.First off let me start by saying I've been there 3-4 times because they do have good buds and I go there when they have some hard to find ones. And the service is fine. But this time....Takes about 45 minutes for me to get there.  My complaint is the staff needs to learn how to turn a legit complaint into a happy customer. They didn't seem to care.So the nice budtender sold me the wrong product. Not intentionally , the wrong product was next to the one I ordered so he mistakenly grabbed it and sold it. That night I opened the jar, (stupid me did not look at the label nor the receipt to double check it was what I ordered, and the budtender, when he rang up the sale, also did not double check that it was what I ordered- so I say it was a 50-50 mistake). That night, I smoked a small bowl and then realized this is not what I ordered. So 2 days later I drive down, and tell my story. Since I opened the jar, I wasn't expecting them to take it back. But thought since it was a 50-50 mistake, theirs giving me the wrong product, and mine not double checking before I opened the jar, that they would compromise and just sell me the product I wanted at a deep discount perhaps splitting the mistake and give it to me at 1/2 off.  But all they could do is give me 10% off - I was given 25% off the original sale(my wife purchase) due to it being the first time. When I complained that that didn't seem fair, all I got was well when you go to a restaurant you wouldn't start eating the meal if it wasn't what you ordered. ( well if I order chicken, and get serve fish I can see it before I eat it and I am not the bud connessieur that looks and can tell the difference between most buds at first glance when I am just putting it in a bowl, ). Now perhaps I am expecting too much customer service or caring. After still saying I wasn't feeling the love, and won't come back- the response is oh well.  I guess if the manager just would have told me that he understands my complaint, can't do anything further, but would take it upline and someone would get back to me, I would have been happy.When I wanted to speak to the owner or someone higher, I was told to write a response on yelp and he/she would respond. So let's see what happens?

This is my favorite place I've been to. Great prices, friendly staff, and usually always have what you're looking for. There are times they do run out, but they tend to be on very busy days. The wait time generally isn't that bad. The longest I've ever waited in the waiting room was about 20 minutes on a very busy day. Highly recommend!

Good experience, good products. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the line was long. Not sure if this is a state thing, but you're watched like a criminal in CA dispensaries. Not the most pleasant experiences so far.

Great customer service. You get 25% off your first time. Make sure you tip your bud-tender. They have parking lot in the back. We've been here 3 times now; been assisted by 3 different bud-tenders and they're all great! Come check it out for yourself! But I don't smoke  my boyfriend does.

They straight up refused me and my registered certified mobility dog inside the establishment. Completely illegal. I will be filing a complaint with the ADA. I couldn't be more upset and stressed out. I just needed to obtain some medication for my pain and I was completely refused. I'm not someone trying to take advantage of the service animal laws, my disability is very visible (I have a very large back brace contraption from a spinal surgery less than a month ago, a large fresh scar across the front of my neck from another spinal surgery 3 months ago and a very unsteady gait. My dog was vested leashed and fully under control at the time. This is not right!

Dont be fooled by their good reviews. They give customers $6 dollars off for posting a good review. SCAM. BUT if you do want to spend your money on defective products and then not have it replaced at all go here.  I purchased a cartridge for my pen and 3 days later it was hitting funny and the wax all melted out the bottom and as a result it got fused to the pen.  when i tried to twist it off the pen, the glass came off instead of the cartridge exposing all the wax. i quickly slid the glass back on and needed pliers to get the cartridge off my pen so that I could put a different cartridge on it and the glass shattered.  The manager came out and told me that I should have brought the pen in to them so they could try to fix it. Meanwhile, the glass had already come off and allowed the wax to pour out of the cartridge prior to the glass being shattered and it would have been useless regardless.  Obviously they dont give a damn about their repeat customers so I will be moving on to a better dispensary. Unfortunate that they are unable to treat their clientele fairly.

I got my cbd pax pods here, they are organized clean and efficient. They give veteran, student and some other discounts which is pretty cool. You can also call in your order to avoid waiting in line but if don't know what you want and want to browse there's usually a small wait. Also, there's two atms for cash withdrawals Incase you forget to bring cash.

I use medical marijauna for anxiety. I think i should  have  left this alone but I have a hard time sticking up for myself.  About two weeks ago I came int this place and ( keep in mind I'm a regular and 21 days from shooting methamphetamines) spent $100 bucks and tipped at least $5 upon leaving I was surrounded by three guards. I was accused of stealing a $1 dollar pack of papers.  I had to go back inside and pay for the papers again.  I went back in today to discuss the situation to find out I'm 86'ed. sick do I think this review is gonna go anywhere probably not but I wanted to post it. I'm a small business owner who donates back to the community. Feel free to ask me anything about this place . P.m me if you'd like. I would not recommend at this time golden state greens to anyone. I hope they take this as constructive criticism and at the very least be a little less quick to accuse and more willing to use that Cctv system and give me my dollar back.

This place is GARBAGE..STAY FAR AWAY!!!! The selection is terrible, they always seem to have run out of what I want and the staff is super rude.. it's extremely tiny and uncomfortable. I have honestly never had a good experience here and have left more than once not happy or satisfied. Urbn leaf is much better and right around the corner and they are litterally the opposite of everything I mentioned above. Med Men is also another great alternative I use. I will NEVER set foot in this place again. This is litterally the first bad reviewI have ever written in my life. I came in on a hot day. I'm from out of town and I was exploring Old town when I came in here. I had some good salmon and yellowtail nigiri and a salmon roll. The service and cooks are friendly and cute.

So, just no.  Bought a sealed container full of stems and shit that tasted like cat piss.  Can't Do anything about it cuz you can't find out how crappy the product is until after you leave, and of course,  they're are no returns.   Asked about their strains and was told they have the red box or the blue box, asked about their lab qualified thc content, and they didn't know.    I'm pretty sure that is not the way to run a business.  They're are much better dispensaries than this one.  If you're from out of California, you'll probably think it's great.  If you use for medical, don't go there, it's a waste of your money.

So today I placed a $195 order on flower. When I got my delivery I noticed I was out 3.5 grams after the driver left with $200. ($5-tip) I called, I was told I would get my delivery within the next two hours. Two hours and 45 minutes later I called to check the whereabouts; they told me they can't deliver it for an additional 2 1/2 hours. That's typically fine, but I'm heading out of town. (Waiting on the rest of my flower) Needless to say I'm still short 3.5 grams and $50. I placed my order at 2pm. Lesson learned-this was the second time they shorted my quarter-giving me eighths each time. They are crediting my account-offered me a free-be. Anyways-Not to mention when ever I go in the shop it's always so crowded with a long ass wait. I may need to find a new dispensary. Over it.

I frequented this place a couple times a month for almost a year now and have spent a lot of money at this establishment!  I think they have a great selection and very nice budtenders however I tried returning a defective cartridge and they said there was nothing they could do for me!!!!I told the guy that the cartridge worked but was leaking and I was getting clogged hits.  I also said I noticed the juice on my battery.This was the second time I went in for a defective cartridge and both times I was told to wait in the room while they bring the cartridge in the back room to "test it" Both times now I was told that it worked for them and there was nothing they could do about it!!!  This fustrates me as I was upsold to buy the 710 kingpen because it was the best and now several times it has leaked.The worst part is the fact that they made me feel really uncomfortable as if I was trying to return an empty cartridge when in fact it leaked and was defective!!!

I just want to "THANK EVERY EMPLOYEE" at the dispensary! I've been a patient for 2 years and I have NEVER seen an unhappy face! No matter how sick I feel i would  rather wait 5 hours ( which I have  never had to)!!! Since recreational is legal now I see how much harder OUR WONDERFUL budtenders have to work!  As a  former business owner of 3 business I know what hard work is! ;) I would HOPE that once things get calmed down OUR budtenders will be well rewarded! AWESOME! It was a long wait the 1st time getting registered and such but once in, my bud tender asked me the kind of high I was looking for and got me the best value for the money I was spending! Ended up with Blue Dragon, I need not say more.I don't know how it is looking for a specific breed, but your bud tender is superb and will guide you to what you're looking for! He figured out the exact quantity for the money I chose to spend. If you're an old hippy like me, you're gonna love this place!It's a pretty busy place and it's a bit of a wait, but well worth it.  I will recommend to all those who are connoisseurs of pot everywhere!

Tl;dr long wait time, low-quality product, unknowledgeable/trustworthy staff and no discountsThis was the second dispensary that I've been too thus far and it was definitely the worse of the two. There were long lines (I understand a long wait time due to the amount of adult usage but the other place was smaller and we didn't have to wait as long) and we had to face other people kind of like a holding cell. The security guards had oddly placed guns on their chests which really made me uneasy because it's easier for someone to grab their guns that way versus if it was on their side. Once checking the products, it felt like the tenders were either not knowledgeable (we had to check the packaging for information) or they didn't think we knew our stuff. The second to the top shelf flower didn't smell at all appealing, one of which smelt like vomit to me, so we didn't get any flower. We mentioned that we had a referral and were told by said referral that we would get a discount but didn't. We also didn't get a first-time patient deal (something we got at the other dispensary). One of the tenders also mentioned a free referral joint that we didn't get either. After we checked out and were waiting for an uber, we realized we were overcharged but they did give a refund for the amount that was charged incorrectly.

GREAT Selection on Flower' Edibles' cartridges ' clones and pretty much anything else you can think of. Easy to find and ample parking throughout the day. It is definitely worth checking out as one makes their way around the medical marijuana San Diego circuit. And as for me it's the GO TO Spot in the City!!

This place is poppin'! They have a great selection and friendly staff. Low ceilings with wood beams makes give it a cozy feel. They have some groovy tunes playing in the background. Would definitely recommend.

Well, having only been to one other dispensary, I can only say this:I might need to update my review for my FORMER dispensary, because Point Loma just earned me as their customer.Point Loma Patient Consumer Co-Op put my old dispensary to shame in SO MANY WAYS.1. They do Delivery2. 1st Time Patient gets a choice of all sorts of awesome goodies, not just a spin on some wheel that's rigged to give you the cheapest most tiniest or worthless thing you don't want.3. They are knowledgeable and won't tell you a strain is an indica or a sativa alone when it's actually a hybrid.4. It's all very discreet with the whole large parking lot in rear that's tucked behind a fence.But the most important thing about this place, as they explained to me yesterday, is that they know that patients need the medicine that works well for them and so they strive to keep the products that work well for most people in stock. Although they sold out of my indica strain moments before I arrived, they do always carry it and so it'll be right back in stock within a few days she said. And they always carry the sativa I use as well (and they did have that) the TWO strains I have found work very well for me (one indica one sativa) and nobody else in town has both of them in the same location.The people were ALL nice, super helpful even security, it was clean, and it had a safe and comfortable vibe.I will most definitely return.

overall as far as the establishment itself is concerned. decent. strain choices. many. but prices are def high. they be on their hussle in here which I respect but the rates def high. I get it. your close to the airport. there are breweries in the area etc but prices need to go down a lil bit. we are in legal cali not illegal nyc prices via the early 2000s. shit illegal cali prices were cheaper. And based on the market your way more expensive too. but again overall decent vibe. I would go back it in san diego again

If you want to wait for over an hour come here! They had a sale claiming free joints if you followed on instagram and left a review, I got this coupon on January 1st. After doing this I went back to try and get the advertised joints. The bud tender was cool but the manager was a dick. I stayed calm til the end and said it's bad advertising.. he claims it was old but they literally have a stack of these coupons on the front desk when you sign in. Long story short manager was a total dick and could have handled it differently, at least with some respect and acknowledgment that they fucked up on advertising but he made it out like it was my fault for trying to get a joint from the coupon THEY handed me on January 1st. I will happily take my business elsewhere and suggest you to. Not worth the wait, or asshole managers.

Just a few words about my January 1st experience trying to buy recreational marijuana at Golden State Greens in Point Loma. After doing my due diligence in December, I selected Durban Poison as the strain I wanted, and found five sources for it in San Diego. On New Year's Day, Golden State Greens was the only one of the five who answered the phone and had the strain in stock. I was told they were not doing deliveries of recreational marijuana, but it could be purchased if I visited their dispensary. Realizing this would require quite a bit of time (the dispensary was a 45 minute drive, and it was the first day of legal recreational sales in California) I made another call to verify they had Durban Poison in stock. (I identified myself as a recreational user on both calls.)Sometimes I hate to be right !! Forty-five minutes to drive there, 15 minutes trying to find parking (Another yelp reviewer, who gave kudos for ample street parking, must have gone to a different Golden State Greens than I did. :-)   35 minutes waiting in line to get in the door, 25 minutes sitting in the waiting area for a budtender to be available, five minutes for the budtender to tell me he couldn't sell Durban Poison to recreational customers, and, finally, another 45 minutes driving home empty handed. So much for Happy (read "High") New Year.This really isn't meant to be a negative review. They were the only ones who answered the phone and had Durban Poison in stock. The three hour time span didn't surprise me: I knew what was in store before leaving my house. Everyone I had contact with was courteous, despite the onslaught of January 1st customers. My only disappointment was leaving empty handed. Even then, my budtender tried to sell me another product: I could have settled for something other than what I had come for. However, after waiting patiently for January 1st to roll around and spending over $300 on a PAX 3 & other paraphernalia; I just couldn't bring myself to settle for something less than a perfect experience as a first-time marijuana user.I plan to wait a few weeks for the newness to wear off & the buying process to smooth out before trying again. However, my first choice of a source will not be Golden State Greens.

My first dispensary experience so I don't have anything to compare it to.  I can tell you what I liked and didn't like and that is about the extent of it.  I went around 10:30am on a Saturday morning, and I waited about 25 minutes before a was introduced to a Budtender named Jimmy.  Armed security guards do a fairly good job managing the line and flow of people, but it is a bit awkward with having people go to the back of the building and wait outside, then come inside to wait in the front of the building, and then go to the back of the building again. A bit cumbersome...anyway, I get with Jimmy...I told him I am dealing with chronic pain in my hip after two rounds of injections didn't work and that I want to reduce my reliance on pain pills. I also told him I already have a topical compound at home.  I expressed an interest in CBD-centric products, not so much THC-infused products. Well, from behind the counter, he spread out a bunch of bath balls and topics patches. Um, I said I didn't want anything topical (I guess too much weed really does screw with short-term memory).  Anyway, I had to reign him in after he starting showing my products with THC. Again, I reiterated what I WASN'T looking for, trying not to sound too irritated.  When I asked questions, he read a lot of the labels, and he didn't seem too familiar with the products they carried.  I feel like I could have arrived at the same conclusions had I shopped on my own without Jimmy, but you have to work with a Budtender.  Full-service, no self-serve.  I went over to pay and was shocked at the tax...a whopping 17%.  I know this is gov't mandated but my God...what a tax. GSG does offer delivery and pickup with a minimum order amount.  I may try Urbn Leaf and a few others and see how they are. I didn't particularly care for the neighborhood GSG was in. I took Uber there so I didn't experience the parking frustration other Yelpers mention.Update:  went back on 5/3/18 to buy a vape and cartridges.  This time I worked with Tim.  He is AWESOME.  So knowledgeable, so polite.  He explained everything and presented me with options.  It is also worth mentioning that I went in around 11am on a Thursday and I only waited about 5-10 min. Definitely a good time to go.  Or, if you know what you want, do the pickup service. No lines no waiting :)

First time visiting and was treated kindly. Cash only so come prepared. The staff was super helpful and they were knowledgeable about the products. I will return another day :)

GSG is hands down the best dispensary in SD. Great inventory, despite the ongoing implementation of new regulations, patient staff, a parking lot, discounts for vets and students. Oh, and a PICK UP WINDOW. Highly recommend esp for folks new to cannabis looking for non-judgmental assistance!

Parking is very poor and the businesses in the area get upset with your clients because you do not offer adequate parking.  You should provide more parking to support your customers.  The pick up part of the business is great, but, it does NOT work if there's is no parking for clients picking up.   DISSAPOINTED...

A 15-25 minute wait the last 3 times I've visited is just not acceptable. They need to hire more staff and security. The parking is a JOKE. I only stayed this time because I have a full punch card to redeem(That's 10 visits) Never again.

The staff are really cool and friendly unlike many other places I've been to these people actually seem to enjoy providing good customer service they have an atm and the wait times aren't usually that long the lobby is very nice and clean  products are moderately priced. The security guards are pretty much douche bags who have no understanding of customer service. They also wand you for large metal objects like you you go to high school in east Oakland

What kind of business chases away a loyal $$$ customer over a $15.00 trinket?  Did manager Brian think I was trying to pull a fast one and rip him off?  More than that was his attitude toward me.  Almost a snarling disrespect.  I have never met Brian before so I can't imagine why he got such a nasty attitude toward me?Two days ago (9/12) I bought a $15.00 vape pen at PLPCC and was reminded to keep the receipt in case I had a problem with the item.  Sadly I did...  I could only get the pen to work sporadically at best.  It's not that difficult!  I tried repeatedly to make it work. It did not work!  *So I did as instructed and tried to exchange it or buy a better one.  Although I did not see him use it, manager Brian, said it worked for him and tough luck.  Don't like it?  Shop somewhere else.

This was the first dispensaries that I came to Once California came to it's senses. I fix for another dispensaries in the San Diego area I have found this is a perfect place for me and my needs not only is their flower of some of the highest quality around, their selection of other gear and goods is hard to be matched. Great parking lot just behind in the alley highly recommend coming in the morning or afternoon.

This was the first time I ever went to a dispensary. I have to say at first I was very pleased. I explained to my Sales person that I had 100% CBD oil but I was interested in knowing about the THC content CBD oil. We discussed it he gave me product.  I got home and lo and behold there was no THC content in the Product I had purchased. I immediately called and spoke to Matt who told me that I could come in and exchange it. I came in today to do that and I was told by the manager that I was not able to exchange it and that I would have to buy new product at a discount price. Very disappointed. Particularly being a first time customer.  All I can say is be sure you look at what you purchased from here. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Was in a lot of pain with nerve issues and went here for the first time today because I was told by a medical professional that BCD oil might help the pain.  The place is a real joke...Unprofessional and they don't care about your privacy, and they're a ripoff. Anyway, I looked at different creams and patches and decided on a particular patch after a lot of deliberation on dosage and price. The item I was looking at did not have a price tag on it and I was told twice by the sales person it was $20. I didn't realize until after I left that I was overcharged by more than 10%. When I called back to ask about it I was basically told too bad my sales person told you the wrong price and I'm not going to give your money back I don't care what you say.  The manager, Alex, clearly doesn't give a care about his customers and he was a complete dick. I also opted out of further contacts when I checked in but about the time I left I got a text from the dispensary with a marketing promotion. On top of the false pricing and terrible customer service I'm guessing there are some privacy laws broken in there too. Hope keeping that $5 was worth it Alex.

Came around 6 pm on a Monday & the wait wasn't too long! Maybe 30 mins tops. There's an atm inside. 10% discount for students, vets and military.

Great place to get weed. Everyone, including security, was friendly and very helpful to a first timer like myself.

I really used to like these guys when they were small. Now I don't like coming here anymore. All their budtenders in lame men's terms suck. All they want to do is make money, oh and if you don't tip them they treat you worse. I go in and ask questions, mind you I read a lot of reviews on products and I know 10x more than anyone who works there. They still overcharge and charge taxes when I already have a medical card. Save yourself the time money and major inconvenience of going here and go to urban leaf. If you are the owner of this place hopefully you can read this and realize you hire people who have no clue on what they Are selling, they only care about the money or free products. Also if you are going to have a web site make sure it's up to date. I always go there for something and they don't have it. Seriously go to management school. I can no longer shop here till they improve their customer service!

Went to GS Greens for about the 4th time today and had my first poor budtender experience. I believe his name was Menkonin. Usually staff there is super friendly, patient, and helpful and he was none of these. He scooped us up with a lackluster greeting and had very few recommendations or helpful information to share. For example,  when we asked about the different types of strains of vape cartridges and pre-rolls joints,  he merely plopped down displays of them in front of us with no help besides pointing out which were indica and which were sativa. (We  could already read this on the boxes.). When asked for flower suggestions he had few ideas to share and even had to ask a fellow budtender to answer our questions. After he had showed us about 4 different flowers he more or less said, "You've got to make  a decision now dude.", suggesting that we couldn't continue to browse. Usually when I go there, the budtender takes their time with you and has lots of suggestions...this guy did the opposite. On top of it, the place wasn't even busy and there were no lines of people waiting. Upon checkout, there was something wrong with the computer systems and we had to go through two different registers and other budtenders to get our sale complete. Probably taking more time to check out then we actually spent looking. I absolutely understand things happen with registers and computers and the other 2 budtenders at registers were kind and apologetic while we waited, but guess who wasn't...I would also like to note that Menkonin seemed to hover over and give the other kind budtenders some "know it all" attitude while they helped him. I guess customers aren't the only people he is borderline rude to. I still very much like GSG, it has many awesome budtenders there and I will keep going. However in the future I will be avoiding this specific budtender (as I suggests newer patients do also) and hope that perhaps he adopts an attitude change.

Quick wait to get into. They had some great deals going on for our first time there. We got a nice variety of goodies and the person helping us was very informative and had a good array of suggestions

Golden State Greens has a wonderful staff who is knowledgable of their inventory and truly cares for their patients/customers. Jake, our "budtender" dealt with all of our annoying questions and not once did we feel rushed, despite their being quite a long line of people waiting outside. After leaving, we realized there was a transactional error and we were overcharged. When we went back into the store, we were helped by the manager, John, who was extremely helpful, kind, patient, and understanding. Golden State Green's Customer Service (and product!!) is on point!

Visiting California and dropped in to check the place out. Very well set up, great vibe, well run and most of all secure. Super friendly people at the door and the check in desk, a good sign of things to come. The wait was short and the bud tender was cool as hell and knew exactly what I was looking for after a brief talk. Prices were good and product was first class, had a great time and will return. Gummies were sweet and effective, not too over bearing and easy to portion just the right amount. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed , peace

I'm a older retried patient with a few medical issues, it's been a tuff situation when I get the in and out treatment for picking up my personal order. Hearing the information and my order for pickup. Sorry to say that the new system for a secure money and product is a New in and out process. The new window is difficult to hear you're available attended personal. No can do. Folks hearing empared people. For months, I have had to keep blocking their different numbers used to send spam texts. The phone numbers associated with these spam texts have a fake menu tree and the opt-out info in the texts are also bogus. I worked in text marketing. Texting recipients who haven't opted in, and not providing valid opt-out instructions is illegal (not to mention mad disrespectful). Wake up! Stop being jerks.

Poor customer experience...yet again. I've been shopping here for a number of years have been witness to a steady decline in customer service and professionalism. Today, my last time shopping here I was blamed for a defective product (a cartridge) which actually broke my pen the first time I attempted to use it! After explaining what happened I was questioned as if I was trying to pull a fast one on them. Incredibly, rather than simply exchange the faulty product the manager chose to blame the customer.  My years of patronage meant nothing and my extensive digital transactional history clearly showed that this was an unusual happenstance (the last time I asked to exchange a cartridge was over 2 years ago) out of customer service alone they should have done the right thing but obviously they don't have a clue as to what that means.  I know they have plenty of customers and my business means nothing to them, but to any shoppers out there who may happen across this review I say BUYER BEWARE because these amatures will gladly overcharge and won't stand by their products.

Wait is extremely long even @ off times.Selections are great, Overpriced for the most part, and they force you to carry a little card around in order to receive any type of discount... which is obsolete nowadays, especially for people that smoke, how hard would it be to just keep a total of how much i've actually spent and then give me the loyalty discount??? You keep track of everything else, lol. Makes me feel like they are avoiding the actual "value of the customer" Regardless good product and selection, but they act a little too "exclusive" imo.

Been here a couple of times already and so far the staff has been super friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. They have a very nice selections of everything. Very close to home and work for me too. Prices are great and the always have some kind of special going on too. The atmosphere is very comforting and welcoming. There is tv and music in the waiting rooms. There is an atm which makes it convenient if you don't have cash readily available. They have the security guards there to make sure everyone is in a safe environment. Definitely would highly recommend to others to stop by and shop here. They are open early and fairly late.

When it gets busy there is no room to park anywhere unless you want to get towed. This is a huge inconvenience to patients.

I visited Point Loma while in SD...found them on Yelp and was so glad I did. Lyric was my lovely budtender and she was wonderful...such a doll. Their selection is fantastic, she was very knowledgeable and I had the pleasure of taking my time and chatting even though I already knew what I wanted and they were pretty busy on top of it. I was able to get items that aren't typically available in most of the Bay co-ops, and their CBD selection was insane! I was able to walk outta there with my CBD teas, honey, pain patches (Lyric was so cute and said she's never seen anyone put together a stoner kit like mine before LOL) and as my new-patient gift, I also received an entire 1/8 of Sour Diesel!!! That NEVER happens! A gram, maybe, but never an eighth, and of top shelf, no less!! I am absolutely a fan, and will definitely be back!

In general a great place product wise.  Terrible for customer service. I generally never post reviews, but I was blown away at the lack of customer service.  I have been a long time costumer and my most recent experience will not have me going back, ever.  Loyalty seems to be under appreciated and not a core value in a customer service driven industry.  I will now be looking for alternatives and let me explain below.  Being a long time consumer and customer I love the punch card.  For every $50 spent you receive one punch.  After 10 punches you receive a $50 discount on your next purchase.  That is $500 spent over 10 punches, not cheap by any means.  What happens if you lose you punch card?  ***YOU ARE SCREWED***  My assumption was with the technology and the amount of verification taking place upon placing an order over the phone or in person, they would be able to accommodate such an unforeseen circumstance.  No, that is not the case to my surprise.  I was told, "there was no way of verifying any past punches or purchases."  What?  I then asked again to speak with management and I was again told "unfortunately there is nothing to verify."  This is so disappointing, they track everything in the computer and this is complete BS.  You are telling me they do not count this information internally?  THIS IS ACTUALLY UNBELIEVABLE and the excuse I was given was too many people would take advantage if we did that. WTF are you talking about????  This dude was a piece of work.   So, again I asked out of utter disbelief, there is no way you can track the most recent punches and purchases?  I was told no.  I STILL CANT BELIEVE THIS.  You can find better customer service at any other shop, don't waste your time here.

What they gave us wasn't even the correct amount that we ordered. They gave us less than what we ordered which is kind of annoying considering this was our first time trying this place out. Furthermore, new patients get an eighth, but we only got one edible oreo cookie. That's not even close to the equivalent of an eighth. This place isn't worth the expense, trust me. Try Releaf or other dispensaries close by.

Long waits with false advertising on weed maps. This place used to be great but it's no longer for patients. Turn and burn method now. Some of the new tenders even drop the buds on the ground and put them back in the serving bowl. Slow down there...... No coming back.

Cool Place, cool people and I love that it opens at 7 in the morning. Being the early bird that I am, it's awesome that I can go there, pickup and still have the rest of my morning, especially on the weekends. Keep up the good work.

I visited Golden State Green lake this past Friday May 4th, with 2 friends.  Out of town from Rancho Cucamonga we wanted to have a little adventure. The dispensary was easy to find, nice parking, and a sign to know that you were there! Stepped inside and the lobby was very clean and welcoming. There was even a very clean bathroom. We were checked in, while we were waiting for our profiles to be created, we started taking turns using the bathroom. When my group was called one members my group was using the bathroom. The budtender (who I do forget his name but started with a K Keenain maybe?) called us up and I let him that someone was using the bathroom & he just stared at me without saying a word he rolled his eyes turned around and stood behind the desk. Myself and my other friend were wondering what was happening so my friend asked, he said you have to wait. That was the beginning of end. When all of our group was ready he took us in. The shop itself was packed with so many amazing products! However we could t check any of it out because our budtender kept us restricted. He wasn't helpful with providing prices & it wasn't that he just didn't know he wouldn't check! We asked about pricing for different shelves and he just pointed to a menu. We aren't new to shopping at dispensaries because all three of work in one! We were just wanting to have fun and picking up from a different seemed like a good idea. The entire experience was ruined by the budtender. He was extremely short when any questions were asked, belittled our group, & rolled his eyes several times. At the end of it if he wanted to make a girl feel bad mission accomplished. I got into the car and started crying. I picked up exactly what I wanted a really good pre roll really dank eigth and a flame gram, but it wasn't worth the being patronized. This review is solely a representation of the experience with the budtender. The product was 100% quality and TOP NOTCH. The shop itself is SUPER clean and well laid out. Tons of product from what I was able to see too.

So my first thought about this clinic was that they were stuck up white people. Then come to find out she was just a b$&@?!!! Second visit was awesome which is why I gave them 5 stars! I got a freebie for my first visit (my choice) candy wax container some other unidentifiable objects. Picked out a cool nerds rope licorice for my son which he loved! Cool guys!! Not so much that other one watch out! The flower ladies and gentleman was beautiful!

PLPCC is my GO-TO dispensary in SD, the staff is always so sweet and attentive, there is a parking lot in the back alley, I feel safe and comfortable every time. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Security protocols are pretty odd, felt like a prisoner. They didn't have a decent selection of organic tested products.

The first time I visited, it was hard to find and hard to find parking. I didn't realize there was parking in the back and since I'm a returning patient, I know to go in the back and I always find a parking spot. Depending on the time of day, the wait isn't so long. In the waiting area you'll be greeted by very friendly security officers who do a quick sweep, for obvious reasons. There is an ATM, bathroom, TV and water dispenser and plenty of seating. The staff will help you sign in and go over any questions you have if your a first time patient. The Budtenders are very helpful and will go over any further questions you have and are very patient and friendly. The prices are also really great! I highly recommend PLCC, you definitely wont be disappointed!

So you aren't allowed to take photos inside, but this is a viper cute collective. Pretty small and off Hancock a one way street but if you can find it than it's worth a stop in. I go because I have the San Diego VIP card so it's 50% off any time I go.. Gotta love that. I always forget to go during happy hour so I can double up on savings but hey still awesome prices! Great selections and the staff are normally pretty knowledgable! They can get a bit busy on the weekends just FYI

First time I went, I found them by accident. I was stunned that they had my favorite, Lavender. It wasn't as strong as I'm use to, but it was still good. The free fire joints were bunk though! Now on my second visit no Lavender, but the chic said that the O.G. Blackberry at $70.00 for a half was comparable. It was not, it was bunk as can be. One more chance, if they fail I'm done! P.S. never lie to a consumer, and never have bud tenders who are ignorant on herbs to speak on said herbs!

Great selection and staff. Then hours of operation are a huge plus as well. I can come in before i start my day and they stay open late enough so I can pick up before bedtime. Always enjoy coming to this place

I had my first visit two weeks ago and I found the staff to be very helpful and patient with my questions. As a novice to treatment I knew nothing about the various strains and levels of THC and CBD. I got all the assistance I needed and I've been very satisfied with the degree of pain relief I've experienced by using the products they recommended. I also left with much more product than anticipated because of the specials I received as a first time patient. I am more than happy with this place.

This place is hands down the best. From the moment you walk in, you get greeted by their awesome receptionist! Their customer service is top ten! If o could give more stars, I would. They always have plenty of stock and their peeps are very knowledgeable. One suggestion, call your order ahead to avoid waiting. Awesome place!!

This place is really popular! I had to stand in line outside for quite awhile, since they only let a few people in at a time. Once you've been wanded by the security guard and made it through the door, you get checked in at the front desk and then move to the next waiting room. I'm pretty sure there was A/C going, which is a huge plus. They call your name and you have your very own bud tender assist you. It's nice to have the same person helping you along the way, as you decide what you want. The guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and told me about extra special deals I wasn't aware of coming in! Pleasant surprise! Great quality products! I got some vet approved CBD oil for my arthritic 11 y/o Boxer had could see a huge difference right away. He had more pep in his step and had much less trouble standing up and sitting down. Thank you, GSGs, for helping me and for providing some relief for my sweet pup. He's gone over the rainbow bridge now, however, I have found some peace knowing he went out on a high note.

I've been a patron of many dispensaries over the years and I appreciate what GSG has to offer. A decent selection of quality flower strains, and other medicinal products that I use. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and make sure you feel confident your purchase matches your needs. They have great deals often that I've seen. This is the best one I've been to, and it's actually one of the few legal ones in San Diego.   Awesome selection, if pricey, but the store is open, friendly, and not at all sketchy or weird as are some others.   Customer service is really good, Danielle who assisted me today was absolutely perfect, engaged, friendly - not to mention cute.   You can order ahead, which is good as it is often crowded with a wait.   Won't be going anywhere else.

Best in the west! Everything about this place is top notch from the decor, cool security guys, the super knowledgeable staff and huge variety of product. It's a bit of a haul for me to get to from north county but I look forward to it every time.

Not liking the new policy had a bad cartridge delivered and now I have to go down there to get it replaced.  They should check them before they send them out the whole reason I ordered delivery is so I don't have to go down there.

This used to be one of my favorite place to go, hands down. However, I have seen the decline in customer service over the past few months. They have grown and gotten more popular and instead of trying to take-care of and be nice to the customer base that they currently have, they are rude. I am a consistent customer and you can pretty much count on a weekly purchase from me - so much so that my friend told me about becoming a VIP member. I have a card that allows me to receive 1/2 half my purchase up to $50. Now, if they didn't want to join this program, then they shouldn't have. Every time I have used the card, there has been some issue. Their staff is not on the same page about policies. Not to mention, they lack attention to detail. Again, they offer to have your order ready ahead of time (part of their call in and pick up program) and 4 out of 5 times, they get my order wrong. Granted, they can easily fix it when I am there, but what is the point of calling in ahead of time if you are just going to have to re-do the order once you get there. Spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere (anywhere) else.

This place has awesome selection whether you're looking for flower, oil or edibles. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for-it's top shelf stuff.

I was a walk-in first time patient a couple of months ago. I didn't know that PLPCC delivered and that I could have done the intake process over the phone and as such I wasted a couple of hours in an overcrowded, hot, stinky, sweaty environment without ventilation. Next I was greated gruffly by security that was curt and grumpy to the point of being offensive. Once I answered his questions he allowed me to pass, but again I was met by the receptionist in  curt manner and she never bothered to make eye contact.  I answered her questions and gave her what she asked for. After an uncomfortable moment of silence, I asked her what was next, and she said I had to wait to be called. I walked away but turned back because I brought proof of my disability to get the discount added to my membership. The guard stopped me. I told him I forgot my disability paperwork. His simply replied with one word, "no". So, I figured I would just show it when my name was called and looked for room to stand. The guard was chewing me out behind my back, but I didn't realize at first that he was addressing me.  I couldn't imagine what I could have done to be addressed in that way. I turned to see what he was going on about. He told me "you can't stand there". I moved to a different place to stand, but he repeated himself without offering an alternative place that was ok for me to be. Since there was literally no room to sit or stand, I asked if there was an intercom or if anyone walks outside to call names but the answer was no. So, I loitered ouside which also made me uncomfortable with the chance of being harassed or robbed, and poked my head in the door every 5 minutes to see if I was called. It took so long my ride left. When my name was finally called, the bud tender was so very nice, patient and helpful that he had me thanking him profusely. The bud tender and the quality  (but pricey) medicine  are the only reasons why PLPCC didn't get 0 or 1 star on the review. If you have PTSD, anxiety or other conditions, make sure you are extremely well medicated BEFORE going there. BTW, I am an "armed guard" myself, and I have been the doorman at co-ops in Oregon and California. Employees or contracted help need to realize that those of us who come for medical reasons might be in pain, have Psych issues, and such, and we could use a little respect, courtesy and patience. In all, it was a bad first impression and experience and I have avoided going back in person since.  I will post a seperate review for last week's delivery.

It would be ungenerous to complain but negative reviews here are probably a response to an attitude at this place that stigmatizes users of THC. Attractive young women work the intake and sales; a man with a gun strapped to his leg, wild west style, wands people inside...wands people. Makes me wonder, will you be wanded into the local bar next? However, can you imagine the stupidity of guns inside this very small space with fiberboard walls filled with people? Ramshackle little building with double doors, design like a prison intake perhaps? Not a retail dispensary. Legalization won't change franchises nor conditional use permits.

I will start by saying that I have ordered from here for a long time. I can say that this place has the best flower hands down, but at an unknown price. I have not been ordering recently because the way they have charged their taxes has not set right with me. I just called to ask a few questions and spoke to Barry who confirmed what I had been feeling. I asked him what the difference between medical and adult use were and he said it determines what products people can buy and the taxes they charge. I asked him how that was determined and he said they decide based on who is ordering. THEY ARE RIPPING US OFF! They take the most in demand products and list them as adult and then charge medical patients higher taxes then they are legally required to just to pad the piggy bank. Sad that you became what you are from med patients and they are the ones you are doing dirty to line your pockets. Shame on you!

I have been giving this dispensary a lot of money and business over the past couple of years. I always  over tip delivery drivers and bud tenders. Yesterday I did a pick-up order for the first time and it wasn't a good experience. First off I got one Heavy hitter vape it was on special for $92 from $112. When I get there he told me my total was $114, i was confused because that seemed like a lot, since medical tax is only .075. I asked the guy why it was that amount and jokingly asked if tax went up. He replies with "oh yea it's like 22% now" I was surprised that maybe some law passed with increased tax rates in the past week i didn't hear about. I paid the $114 and left. Once I got home i looked at my receipt. It said $92 + $7.13(sales tax) total $114.Now you don't have to be a math wiz to know that doesn't equal $114 it equals $99.13.I was really annoyed and felt ripped off. Even though this is only $14.87 its the principle. I called GSG to let them know there was a mistake. Blake had me on hold for a few minutes to see if he could figure out what happened and then tried to back pedal and say I was charged the recreational tax of 10% instead. He advised he would credit my account. I didn't argue with him knowing that was not the case because 10% of $92 is still only $101.20... but i could tell he was just trying to save someones ass from ripping me off. So i thanked him and ended the call. I'm still really annoyed because i feel there are dishonest people working there. First off the guy that helped me at pick-up, lied and told me tax went up to 22%. Second, instead of just saying oh "we slipped in an extra $14.87, hoping you wouldn't notice" i was lied to again. Even if I was charged the 10% rec tax like Blake advised, that still only totals $101.20 not $114. So the only reason i'm writing this review is not for the $14 its not about the money. It's the fact there are really dishonest people working there and it makes me want to find a new dispensary. After buying from this place the past 2 years it really put a bad taste in my mouth. After i use my credit I will be buying from another dispensary that hopefully has honest people working for them. P.S the past 3 times i have ordered from here. They are out of what i want and seem to take forever to get some vapes in. I was recommended the heavy hitter saying it was similar to kurvana and orchid essential. That is far from the truth. I feel nothing from heavy hitter and its not comparable at all. I feel i was only sold this because its the only vapes they had in stock and its pricier than most.

There really is no comparison in the San Diego area. Service is great and the variety and quality of product is outstanding. We've tried a lot of dispensaries and delivery services...no doubt about it.

This is one of the best shops in San Diego. Not only do they have one of the largest selections but the quality is hands down better than any other shop that I have been to. They also have parking which is great and above all the staff is knowledgeable and very professional.

I visited them early last month, and was extremely surprised to discover just how well the folks at the PLPCC care and take your needs to heart!  As a first time patient, I was treated with excellent customer care, received some free medicine as a FTB, and also get a discount for being a veteran!

Probably the best dispensary in San Diego. The tree selection is amazing, the concentrates are pretty darn good, they have a huge selection of edibles and vape cartridges. The only bad thing (depending on who you ask) is the wait time. Expect 30 minute waits pretty much any time of the day. They are always busy and for good reason.

I have breast cancer & I have had it 3 times over the last 12 years . And the non psycho active  cbd cheeba chews   help a lot with pain & I like the topicals for the lymphedema too . Well I met Ellen & she knows more than anyone I have met at any dispensary. She knows so much  about the THC & CBD  in every product . And about what works for pain or forgetting pain or for healing . Whom ever hired Ellen  made a great choice, she is a wealth of knowledge & extremely helpful . I will be going to this collective & recommending this location to other patients too !

Went in for first time...on a Saturday.  Complete clusterf÷#k. Had to wait for at least 30 minutes...people that came in AFTER me, were called BEFORE me. The room with the medication is soooo small. Feels like a walk in closet. Too small to allow for any time, room to actually see products. It was such a mess, people wise, crammed in tiny room. My suggestions: organization...starting at check in. Not rocket science.  Second...space to peruse medication is WAY TO SMALL. The waiting area takes up 3/4 of space...you wouldn't need that much waiting room if the purchasing area was larger than a closet and could accommodate more customers.  The pic on website of counter/meds/etc is misleading. It's a wide angle shot making it look larger than it is. Third...probably because it was so overcrowded, the dude that helped me seemed like he just wanted to sell me something and get next customer.  Granted it was crowded, but I felt like he was rushing me, I could barely get near counter, let alone smell anything.   They may have good products...I don't know. I wasn't able to really "shop." Space needs to be re-done. I'll give them another chance...but, it was not a pleasant shopping experience whatsoever.  Hopefully it was just an off day for them.

I couldn't believe how rudely I was treated considering how very many competitors are nearby, and FTP deals are AWESOME! First I was disappointed on one visit in which I explained that I needed some serious Sativa as it was important for me to function while medicated. I talked with one of the employees there a bit, and he seemed to really know his stuff, but sadly, the guy helping me did not. I was looking for a Sativa dominant hybrid, and he recommended one. I asked him if he was sure it was Sativa dominant, and he said pretty sure. I double-checked with another guy behind the counter, and he said it should be since it's an Amsterdam strain & most of them are. I tried it and couldn't stay awake. I looked it up online and found out it was heavily Indica dominant. Maybe make an employee policy: If you don't know, ask. Don't pretend to know, you're supposed to be professionals. Then, I'm on their mailing list, so I received an email that read, "All Stars Week. Buy $100 worth of product & receive a free 1/8th of Sour Diesel." I love Sour Diesel, so one day that week  between work and meetings, I made it over there, waited for 54 minutes to be let in (I know because I kept checking as I was going to be late to my meetings), the ladies acted like they knew nothing about the deal. They found one they said was the Monday deal (it was Wednesday). I explained that the deal I saw was all week, and they said I'd have to find it and show them, so I asked them if I could on my phone. They let me, then they told me I couldn't be on my phone in there, I had to go back out and wait. I found it and she claimed that it was the special for Monday only even though that was nowhere on the email. All it said was "All Stars Week." She tried to explain to me that the grammar of that sentence ending with a period meant the rest of the coupon had nothing to do with it. I thought this was hilarious as I teach English. I was going to drop $100 that day and keep coming back. So I sincerely give you 1 star for being rude and incompetent enough to push me towards finding better dispensaries with higher quality medicine for much better deals. Thank you so much! To think I would have settled with waiting for far too long for a mediocre experience. For the same amount of money, I got much much more through one of your many competitors. Now I know not to stick with any of them either, and keep exploring the wide array of goodness available to me here. Good luck to y'allz

I've always used a delivery service with a different company. Today was my first time in a dispensary and based on reviews of other customers and personal experience, I was very lucky to have my first experience be at this location. The place was pretty packed but a nice gentleman waiting next to me explained that they're always packed because it's the best one around. He couldn't have been further from the truth. Every person in there was super friendly and helpful. Alexis, was very personable and awesome! She had great recommendations and knew the products really well! I love that they even offer a student discount. And in the end, I ended up paying about a 3rd of what I've been paying for the same products, elsewhere. I will definitely continue to come here!

No doubt the worst shop in San Diego.   They take your id and make u sit for like 10 minutes before they get to it.   The folks there look very high and unfocused.  The guard with a gun swaggers around and bosses people around like he wants to intimidate you.  From the minute one walks in you get a disconnected feeling.   No more will I go there.

Worst shop in San Diego won't ever return they confiscated my girlfriends ID because it wasn't up to date and they assumed it wasn't real. I can believe I was also being threatened by a one armed security guard who looks like he's never worked or even read a book in life but honestly that's all I'll be making a federal report on this business!!!

I never really like the place due to the false advertisement every time I came, many years back they had a special event with Snoop Dogg in person, I came only for them to tell me I had to purchase something to meet him, but on the email they said it was free, then later I saw people posted pictures online with Snoop Dogg free of charge just because they didn't go to the front entrance and circled to the back to get in no problem.Today is April 20th, to celebrate the 420 day, they sent me another email saying there would be an event with free tacos and giveaways then music, vendors, etc. I took my chance to visit the place again, then the miscommunication or the false advertisement came again, the tacos people refused to serve me free tacos unless I have a ticket, so I went inside and asked, only to found out I had to buy some products to get the ticket for maybe 1 taco, not even unlimited.Only one vendor available in the back, and a music stage setup, but you still have to buy something in order to enter a raffle to win prizes.Til that point, I realized the place was built only to lure people to spend more money so they would profit more. You pay $20 something for a CBD product to exchange for 1 ticket to taste 1 taco, that's insane. The Staffs aren't friendly or helpful either, I tried to explain to them about the email I got, all they did was making going thru security check and told me to buy before I could get a ticket for taco as "We will take care of you", no manager on site, whoever the guy named Jack on the promo video, it's all a lie, marketing this way during the pandemic is not good for business at all, ever.

I actually have a screen shot of your website advertising "fresh baked" for $42.  Im also not the ONLY 1 who has proof. Also u have a sign rite in front of the "fresh baked " jars (only a few) saying "40%off"   Now do u remember?? anyways most concerning of all is that your staff kept 2 of my unopened eighths of jerry Garcia "hand picked" wich i also btw paid full price for...... that's straight up theft if u ask me.... No management was there and apparently there is no on site management??? Or they lied to me. But what kind of business is that?? Time to contact BBB.      Stay classy!!

Called in to make sure there would be no problems with my i. D.,and was reassured that there would be no problems. Got here and was denied, and was told that they had no idea who i had talked too. Wish i didn't waste my gas or time on the trip, reason i called in first place. Oh well.

If you are from out of state and are searching for dispensaries, this is the one! Kelly was amazing!! She was knowledgeable and kept a smile while we run her from one end of the counter to the other. From the security guards up front to everyone in the store we were made to feel like being overwhelmed was perfectly fine and understandable. Great products and large selection!
