I went in tonight at 7:45 (they close at 8) and was told they had closed the cash registers, but I could look through the menu. I explained to the woman (whose voice dripped with condescension), that it might be productive and considerate if they posted this policy on their website so customers can make the decision to visit with this info in advance. She didn't take this well and told me she didn't like the way I spoke to her. At a loss, I said,"Excuse me, I said nothing that was vulgar, rude or disrespectful, what do you mean?" She said I was giving "bad energy". No really. Unfortunately, this employee radiates the attitude, "I don't care, I don't have to." Well, no you don't. But I don't have to give you my money either and I'm happy to share this encounter so that others can choose another establishment that respects their customers.
I thought the location was great and the girl working there was super knowledgeable about each product and their effects. They didn't have tea which was disappointing but they did have a lot to choose from.
The Prime Leaf is one of my favorite dispensaries in Tucson. Patients complaining about price points are obviously uneducated in what it really costs and what it would cost in a Black Market. Running a businness requires profit, if your happier with Pesticide PGR ridden flowers at cheaper price points then maybe this isnt the shop for you. BUT if you want a staff that really cares and a profesional environment that is growing clean potent meds this is a wonderful place. You get what you pay for and there are daily specials that make the higher priced flowers much more affordable. I would avoid the shake eigths anywhere in town.
Everyone is extremely personable and knowledgeable. They take their time working with you, even if you take a while. The prices are great, large selection, and daily specials make this my fave place!
If only the employees cared about their customers during the pandemic. I predict their condescending attitudes will change if they or one of their relatives or close friends test positive for coronavirus. When I entered the establishment with my protective breathing mask on, people were milling around close to me waiting to be called back to the dispensing room. I asked the guy checking me in why they were not practicing safe or social distancing and he said, much to my dismay, that the employees are behind plexiglass. "What you do out there with the other customers is your business." I told him he sounded like the mayor of Las Vegas trying to open the casinos and letting the cards fall where they may with regard to people getting coronavirus. I think these must be minimum wage earners to not care about the customers. Only one employee was wearing breathing protection in the form of a bandana. Once in the dispensary room, again I was told that they were behind a plexiglass screen and therefore I was protected but each section had a cashier window that was wide open with no distance. I asked them to mask up and they said they didn't have to. I swore a couple of times trying to make my points and they asked me to leave because I was not using proper language and being properly respectful in making my purchases. We finished the transaction because I begged them to and I was told to not return. If anyone should not be returning, it is minimum-wage employees who do not care about customers. I cannot believe the owner of this establishment is allowing the public to be exposed to recalcitrant unsafe employees. They think they are going to live forever and could not possibly get sick And if the customers get sick, oh well. I got a kick out of it when male employees started walking in the background as if the self-absorbed female managers might need help to remove me from the establishment. None of them were wearing facial masks either to protect themselves or me, a 72-year-old woman with compromised health issues. I am still shocked at their lack of caring about me as a customer during a pandemic that has killed over 40,000 people in our country. I like going to this establishment and before this traumatic pandemic occurred, it was one of my faves. Thank God I never had to deal with the two female managers that doubled up on me in the most disrespectful manner. I warn anyone out there with health issues to avoid this dispensary until the pandemic is really over because they do not care about you. This is supposed to be a medical marijuana establishment and not a disease providing dispensary. By the way, after making pleas for them to mask up to no avail, when I left guess what? An employee was assigned to make new customers wait outside to stop the crowding. Too bad I had to make a scene first. I hope the Mayor and Council can make an ordinance to require safety on the premises because the employees and managers do not care.
I had a very bad experience yesterday so I figured I'd write a review. I go to the prime leaf specifically for the item 9 live resin pods which are a pain in the ass to open and pretty pricey, about $50 bucks a pop.I go for two every two weeks and this week I picked up Jigga Cookie and Tres Leches.I was so eager to try something new that I cracked them once I left the dispensary but upon opening the tres leches I seen that the pod had a huge bubble in it! Half the cart was gone.I was super bummed out to say the least and I totally felt ripped off! I knew at that point it was on me kuz I never bothered to check them before leaving the shop but I'm going to start no matter how much of a pain in the ass they are to open.like I said I've never had any issues before and the staff is very friendly but if they don't bother to check the merchandise to make sure all is on the up and up,to ensure customer satisfaction then I for sure am going to have to start. I even took a pic! Like I said, been going there for a while now specifically for these pods and this is the only time I've ever had any issues but one time is once too many! Especially considering the price I pay for these. *I returned today and was greeted with a little attitude from one of the bud tenders and I can respect that kuz I take pride in my work and they handled the "bad review" very professionally and I'm happy to hear that you can bring back a defected item.unfortunately for me,living as far as I do it's a lil too late considering traffic and all.so buyer beware and take literally a minute to see what you're purchasing.overall highly recommended.
I've always had a positive experience here friendly staff well informed and usually pretty speedy.
One of my favorite dispensaries due to the great product selection and friendly staff. It gets crazy busy when they run a big promotion and the line goes out the door, but the weekly specials are already so good I just shop on those days and stay away on 4/20, Black Friday, etc.
This is a "medical facility" with patients with cancer, HIV, cardiac, pulmonary and other conditions that make them more susceptible to illness. However, most of the staff refuses to wear masks when the they are working with patients during a national pandemic. They are 3 feet away from their customers spreading their potentially infected droplets all over vulnerable patients. Yes, they put up a tiny barrier to "keep us apart" but we are still totally in each other faces and just 3' apart - not following CDC guidelines. They have made some modifications to help, but they swung and severely missed. They have taped markers that keep people 6' apart and hand gel for after you leave. They tried to give comfort to the long line of customers who waited outside the building by putting a HUGE - 5' diameter fan to cool us. But all the fan does is blow COVID germs forward to further infect. When I was there picking up my order I asked to speak with the manager. I complimented Prime leaf on the hand-gel and limiting customers in the building. The manager was not wearing a mask, neither were any but one of her employees. I wore a mask into the facility to protect myself AND Prime Leaf employees/ customers from me too. I also told her I view their policy of not requiring their workers to wear masks to protect me as disrespectful to my health. She thought that was crazy. The manager did grasp my concern or she could have not been so defensive and done something about the policy. I took my product and left. That was 4 days ago - time for a small company to implement policy change. I called today to find out if any changes have been made and they have NOT!! I spoke with a younger male manager from their Speedway / Tucson location. I told him my concern and he said "we are doing everything we can to help stop the spread of disease..." I told him "YOU ARE NOT DOING EVERYTHING OR YOU WOULD BE WEARING A MASK." He continued to defend..... Ugh. This company clearly does not care about the elderly, ill or ME! So much for a "medical facility." Prime Leaf is a bad community member, aids in the spread of the pandemic and run a self-serving business.
This is my alternate favorite if my home dispensary is out of stock of something I need. This dispensary is extremely eye appealing on the exterior as well as interior. Lobby is large with plenty of extra seating for peak hours and plus ones. Bud tenders are friendly and generally knowledgable of all of their product. Large selection of flower & concentrates. Edibles are reasonably priced. Deals and discounts available daily! ATM on site. In & out service with no long waits.
Apparently the person who wrote the review after I did is totally unaware of Proposition 203 and how it works. Let's start with, a.) a Marijuana Dispensary is NOT a business. Just for simplicity I'll use a few words possible; a non-profit entity is established to state that the primary goal is NOT to make a profit. Of course they have to pay for the related expenses that it costs to operate and provide the service, and it should be able to provide a reasonable standard of living for those it employs. So the reviewer after me apparently doesn't have a clue about the empower legislation and the operation of such. Also, if my full review was read, I stated there, that I do know how much it costs to grow the plants. But of course, that can be very suggestive. You can drive a New Cadillac to take you to the Circle-K at the corner, or you can take a normal sedan. So I am that the cost to grow marijuana can be all over the place. But then again, the "not for profit model" does kinda dictate keeping the costs reasonable. It's just my opinion, but I feel that people should receive adequate and just compensation for themselves for performing any work, but especially at the Prime Leaf, I have not personally seen a bud tender that had anything above street knowledge. And once again, these people are "treating patients"? Just more cute wording to hide behind. Have a nice day.
Everyone is nice and knowledgeable! They have good product. Their bud tenders are very customer service driven
This place has decent medicine. The prices are a little steep. But once in awhile they have decent specials.
This has become my favorite dispensary in town for a number of reasons. The atmosphere is inviting and the store is well designed. The bud tenders are not only friendly, but also very well informed. They seem to sincerely care about their patients. They have a good selection of products at whatever price point you are looking for.
Meh. It's new location has a piano children bang on in the front.. medicine I've gotten here is way subpar but location is convenient as a.. Getting the same strain somewhere else was when i was like ok, stop, I'll drive way farther to get medicine that actually works.. when I've preordered it's the worst. If you absolutely have to go here for midtown convenience i suggest always going back to check out the meds before buying anything.
If you like poor service and weak products then Prime Leaf is your store. I received a 50% discount as a first time customer and received a product I would not give away to someone for free. The employee helping me with the sale recommended the product and really seemed to not take any interest in helping me other than to quickly help me out the door as soon as she could. She didn't seem interested in my needs whatsoever. The manager told me that she could take 50% off a future purchase--so essentially I'm paying full price now. Likely they bait and switch new customers by giving a poor product at 50% so you're forced to buy their better products and end up paying full price. I'll do my business elsewhere. Just wanted to share my experience and let you decide if you want to risk shopping at this store.
sorry, I have to downgrade more but the only effective strain that is theirs is called grape ape at 1-2grams a day I went through and then they raised their price from$10/gm to $14/gram now is $20gm. What the hell is going on here? I get a strain at D2 that lasts much longer for only $10/gm pre packed now even though is $18/gm but usually has a weekly special! You cannot even get the mid tier discount for grape ape anymore and the pre rolls suck and don't last either. I won't go back to Prime Leaf unless they lower the Grape Ape price. The recent review about prices is bogus. They charge way too much for anything effective. Don't believe that review
The prime leaf is like the circle k of tucson dispensaries. Horrible, and I really do mean horrible, customer service, weak products and a convenient location. They constantly use bait and switch, bud tenders are unknowledgeable of what they are selling, and management is a nightmare to deal with. I asked for thc oil, was given cbd. Of course there are no returns so check before you buy. The brownies they sell for 10$ are great, which you can buy at green halo for 7 regularly or 5 on medible mondays. After all, that is where they buy them from. I recommend a drive to either botanica or the green halo any day over the "connivence" of the prime leaf.
Super friendly and excellent first time customer deals. The waiting area was clean. Parking might be an issue during busier times.
I went here on Tuesday with a friend of mine for her birthday. The front counter girls are ALWAYS so kind when I go in. I can't recall her name, but she has shoulder length really curly hair...my seven month old daughter dropped her toy on the ground while I was waiting for my friend and she went above and beyond and washed off the toy for her! the people here are always awesome and deserve credit where credit is deserved. I just wanted to say thanks and as always, I'll keep coming back!
I had a very nice first experience here. Channelle was the prime reason. She was so helpful with my questions. Very pleasant and professional.
I purchased a tin of huxton pre-rolls. Unfortunately the tin was empty. Thanks to a wonderful staff Kelly and Cassie especially. I was taken care of instantly with a smile. (With masks on obviously) there are many dispensaries in Tucson but I go to prime leaf for the customer service and people.
This is the best product available in Tucson. It is worth the wait. Great for people with disabilities. Thursdays are awesome for bulk flower. I was a grower in Colorado and I am picky about my product. I do not like spider mites, mold or chemicals. They are very open with their details on each product. LivWell
I wanted to have my first experience with some Tucson Cannabis here but.... Since I was towing a U-Haul trailer behind my vehicle, I was turned away at the door and was told I could not park in the lot. As I look around in the lot, I am the only vehicle and there are another dozen spots available. Hmmm? I asked to talk to the person in charge and was told that their time could not be wasted on this. WOW! Downtown Dispensary Rocks and highly recommended for Medical Patients.¡PuraVida!
Just made my first visit and it was wonderful!! It's has great parking and I didn't have to wait very long (I was there around 1pm on a Wednesday). The environment was welcoming and classy. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions. they have great deals every day, a reward system, and discounts for vets/disability. I highly recommend this place!!!!
Prime Leaf is a joke and I will make sure everyone I know stays away from spending money here. They're promoting a free battery until Halloween which is A WEEK FROM NOW and within 48hrs but still have it advertised. So my husband drove from vail today to buy carts and get the battery but they're out and basically said sorry about your luck. They were all very rude including the manager and they weren't willing to do anything even though they're still running and advertising this through Halloween but yet have no product left. Do better prime Leaf. We will take our money elsewhere.
I'm a complete dork so I was totally nervous to come here for the first time but the staff put me completely at ease and helped me learn about what products are available. The shop is clean, modern, and classy. Really pleased with the product I got. Looking forward to coming back!
I need to write a new review because even more pleasant experiences have occurred since my last review!!First off, if I'm ever short 1$ they always help me out but once a bud tender got 5$ from his own pocket go spot me when I was 5$ too little to get a single vape cartridge These guys, if you treat them good theyll be even nicer to you in return. They've allowed me to take plant cuttings from their pothos and my cat loves to come in with me too with how sweet the staff is. If you like to bring your pet with youIf you like good natured people If you like GREAT 20% off the store deals for medical card holdersThis is the place to go Thank you prime leaf staff
So a couple of questions. What is up with selling uncured weed at top shelf prices? Why does the GG #4 smell like horse food?Is anyone else sick of stores selling "top shelf" weed that smells like hay? Why can't we smell the weed before we buy it? You can't just put a couple nugs aside for people to smell? Can I return weed if I buy it and when I get back to my car it smells like hay? Do people actually like weed that smells like this? Prime leaf is an ok store in the sene that they are not 100% pre-packed weed, but that defeats the purpose if you can not smell it before you purchase it. I give them 2 stars because they're not consistent at all. Every time I purchase weed here I always feel like I am gambling. I always get 1/2 oz of Chiesel because it's usually pretty good. And 1/2 oz of something else. Most times I get 1/2 of something else, it smells like hay and is too wet to even grind or smoke. Do not buy gg#4 that is on the menu now. Wish I could return it but it's the swindlers that are weed stores. They act like we need them much more than they need us. Shame what the weed buying experience has become...
Loony Carolyn needs to take a chill pill. Prime Leaf has nice people and good product... I have always been satisfied, and my recent buy of "Divine Cherries" was great... really nice effects, no, it didn't smell like hay.Prices WAY too high for weed, but all dispensaries price similarly.
Just bought an 8th of their Huxton Reserve gmo cookies, indica strain. When i first looked at it, it looked thin and like i would have to use a lot of tree to roll my blunt, but as i was breakin it down, its super fluffy and i only used 4 nugs, got plenty left over for later, jus how i like it. Gave 4 stars because i havent smoked it yet, ill update my review when i do.Update: The high was chill, not as deep as I expected, but i guess thats $45 8ths these days for dispensaries? Could get more decent tree from my plug for less, but I'm jus gon leave this review here in case it helps. It wasn't all bad, jus wish the high lasted longer.
As someone who's been coming to the Prime Leaf for 8 years, I can say that the store isn't what it used to be. It's gotten better in some ways, but worse in others. It's bad enough that prices have kept going up; but understandable with the times. When making an order with the tender and they don't at least mention that you that you're mixing tiers and paying extra for it, it stings a little. Bringing it to the attention of the front staff after I realized the error got me a, "...sorry they should have mentioned it but that's the way it is here...", honestly that hurt and it didn't used to be this way. I used to love coming to the Prime Leaf. It was a fun adventure coming in to see familiar faces, hearing about new products... it's why I still made the trip across town after moving, but I'm not so sure I'll keep doing that.
They have a friendly casually inviting atmosphere. Superior customer service. Vast product selection. And very fair prices. They are the only dispensary I care to do business with. Everyone else gets my business if I'm in the area. Hehe
So, great service. Good bud. Way overpriced though. If you don't mind paying more for literally every product then it's okay. I can say they have great service and I've never had to wait too long. Would recommend only for convenience if you live close by and don't mind paying more.
This review is long overdue - The Prime Leaf is the best dispensary in Tucson in my humble opinion. They consistently have greats deals and promotions going on and I feel like they have adjust well to recreational legalization. Outside of that, they have THE BEST customer service especially compared to other dispensaries that have been around for quite some time. My only bit of feedback is that I wish online orders did not have time windows but I can definitely see why they need to do this.
So I am deaf, and a medical patient. I came in first time and knew what I wanted. I also calmly explained at the front that I was deaf and read lips. But I know my order and told them. I was brought back and pleasantly surprised when they took initiative and brought out paper and pen. (I can speak clear and use speech to communicate but read lips to understand) It really was accommodating not only that but its common with my speech I get accused of faking but I wasn't here. Here I was accepted, welcomed with open arms and had a wonderful experience. Most people when encountering a deaf person just...its common interaction stops. It truly was very nice I wasn't questioned or harassed or anything assumed about me. I died in 2015 and lost my hearing due to that, so its very common I am not believed about my disability. Thank you from bottom of my heart
