Always have what you need with a very friendly staff..... Matt is very helpful and knowledgeable individual.... Great place!!!!

I am a relatively heavy user of concentrates, in particular, and have tried many of the available dispensaries in Fort Collins. This is the one I always came back to and now go to exclusively. Over the last six months or so the selection really been consistently great!  --Lovely strains with high potency, good flavor and textures. Well worth the occasional downside of parking in Old Town :-)

Well 1st timers went in, were greeted and interviewed. They recommended a doze of Hard Candy and we bought cookies.Zero Zip, Nothing , Walla. Horrible recommendation, and either old product that is past it's date, not real, or just plain lousy.

I have lived in Fort Collins for 17 years and this is by far the WORST establishment I have ever been to. Not dispensary, but establishment. The customer service was absolutely despicable. They were not only rude but, I saw a kid who looked 16 and they didn't even ask for his ID. The owner of Organic Alternatives should be ashamed of themselves. Last of all the weed was too expensive and was not any good. The fact that this place shop exists absolutely astounds me. NEVER GO HERE

As a Californian I expected the "industry" to be more refined in Colorado given they have been at it longer than CA.  I will say it was a learning experience!  So many people going in and out it was like just another kitschy gift shop. It was busy and loud and confusing.  Right in the mid-town area where construction was going on, impossible to park. People sitting outside, music everywhere, flowers in their hair, wait--- am I in Haight-Asbury?  What year is it?Medical product on one side, stuff for everyone else on the other.  Note that the CA medical req is NOT valid in CO.  Know that you cannot transport product across State lines and the surrounding states are serious about keeping the wicked weed out of their sinless states (AZ, UT, WY...ya I'm talking about you...)Prices for product are relatively comparable, but the taxes are pretty high so you pay a bit more.  Quality of flower I got was awesome. Gummies max out at 10mg/per piece for non-medical so that sucked. Literally.Ultimately it was cool to check out a Colorado dispensery, but I'm glad California shops still treat the industry as legitimate medicine and are professionally run.  I realize this was one shop in the entire State I visited, so there's that.

Horrible customer Service!!! Pretty much called me a liar when I told them when I bought this product!!!  This was the first and only dispensary I've EVER been to. At first I had a great experience. I referred anyone I knew here. Until, I recieved a vape pen for Christmas of 2018 as a gift and went to buy another cartridge at the end of January. They didnt have the same type so I tried the EVOLAB Blueberry cartridge, and it was on sale! Great! EXCEPT after a week of having it the oil started clogging up in the mouthpiece and obviously wasnt working correctly. I cleaned it out with a toothpick and tried again, but no avail. I went in to get $200 worth of gummies for my mom undergoing hip surgery and thought hell, I'll just get another cartridge because the other one wasnt working. I told the girl about it clogging and she said, "no worries we can replace that for you, just bring it back in!" I told her I didnt keep the receipt to exchange. She, insured me that it's okay and to come in for replacement. I go back in to replace and the female Manager told me, "We haven't carried the blueberry in months."  LYING STRAIGHT TO MY FACE! I have only been to your store and I bought the Blueberry as my SECOND cartridge AFTER CHRISTMAS of 2018. Its only February 2019 honey, nice try. But your WRONG. I will never go back to your establishment, treating honest clientele like liars and chehoats wont get you MY business or referrals. You need some guidance on customer service.

This is a decent place to get the products you need.  Selection of herb is average (compared to the rest of the state) but prices are much higher than average.  They were the only player in the game in northern Colorado for a long time, and now that there are several other dispensaries opening up those prices will fall.  The store is divided into two halves, one for MM, the other for recreational, and the medical side has all the good stuff and higher dosing options, for less money.  That's gotta change sometime across the state.  Staff is relatively friendly, they're not half stoned like you see in most other places, which is a nice change of pace.They have taken the cash-only thing one more step further - they took out their ATM machine claiming the banks shut it down.  Not buying that story, but that's the story right now.

I bought two weed patches that were supposed to work really well. My wife put one on, then she got a super bad rash. I went back to get them refunded, the manager came out and said they cannot take them back. Then, when I asked about some kind of credit, he offered me half credit. Why would I use the other one after it gave my wife a rash?Terrible customer service, I found a new weed shop! They lost a customer for life over $13 shitty patch. Poor management by the guy with the black beard. The budtender was great though. Overpriced. Go to Vert's if you want good service and fair prices.

Best dispensary in Fort Collins! And I've been to all of them. Customer service and prices are top notch.

Always great and helpful service. I have never gone and been disappointed. The atmosphere is comfortable and mature.

It may not be the cheapest, but it offers some great strains at reasonable prices! I highly recommend Sage 'n Sour if you get the chance to visit. The bud tenders have always been friendly, and the environment is nice and relaxed. :)

I have been using OA for several years. It is one of the nicer mj places. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. If you want to make sure you get great service, ask for Rob. Prices seem ok. Have the edibles I need in stock most of the time. Give it a try. Go in the early morning to avoid the crowds. Avoid Friday/Saturday when it can get crowded and you will have long waits.

I've been to numerous medical stores, and am beyond impressed with this one. They are so knowledgeable and welcoming. I, personally, haven't had any problems with overcrowding or bad customer service. What I have had is great service and comparable prices. I've paid less here than non-organic stores and have been very happy with the product. I will be a customer for life!

Super friendly and helpful staff who listen to your needs! I have a family member who has really bad rheumatoid arthritis and the goddess balm is such a blessing!! The previous company who was supplying couldn't keep up with demand, apparently, which put things in a pinch .. but organic came through!  Plus, the rewards system takes $ amounts off your purchase after you have accumulated a number of points.

Used to be a friendly, cool place but last couple of times I've gone in, the staff behind the counter was rude. Unfortunate.

First of all - super friendly staff.Just In visiting from Seattle and the bud tender treated me extremely well - I was impressed with knowledge on pre-rolls and the edibles. Extra bonus, I had forgotten my coffee on the counter and one of their representatives came and found me further down on the sidewalk after I had left. Really appreciate that kind of detail for service

First time visit and Derek (Derrick?) was great. Super helpful and answered all my questions. Was in and out in less than 5 min with some fantastic single serve edibles for my short visit to the area...

I'm giving this place two stars because they do have good service, and it's a nice shop, but I had some other issues. I have a bad soy allergy. It never occurred to me to look at the ingredients of a plant until I had an allergic reaction. Their marijuana is grown in soy protein! To be fair, this is listed in the ingredients. Still, it was a miserable experience.Possibly more relevant to the general population is that this place is called Organic Allternatives, but it's selling "organic" gummies that use propane extraction. Yes, technically propane is organic, but organic food would never have a residual propane percentage. For example, organic decaf coffee uses CO2 extraction. This also exists for THC extraction, and I think that any serious organic marijuana shop should only be selling non-toxic products.

Went to this dispensary for the first time and got a cartridge that DIDN'T WORK. Went right back and the sales associate tried it in on 2 of their batteries and says "yep it's a bad one...let me go ask my manager if we can swap it out." The manager calls me over and says "WE DONT GUARANTEE our product." ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I said just give me back the bad cartridge then so I can leave. As I walked away the manager starts laughing behind me. You think it's funny you screwed someone out of money AND dont stand by your product. Not only that their buds have seeds it in so they mark it down to over 200 an o?!!! No thank you. Go anywhere else in fort Collins than this dispensary.!!!

When I first moved here this was the first shop I went into. I quickly learned this place was a huge ripoff after I actually looked at the products....  I went here to buy edibles since they had such an amazing selection. You know everywhere else in the state everyone sells just 100MG candy bars and sodas.... Not here... 30 mg or 10 mg too....  and if other stores do sell them.... they don't put them right next to eachother...... I got tricked into paying for crud by the staff here. I bought 10mg THC sodas... who even sells those they are supposed to be 100mg........ WTH....Though I chalked that up to me being an idiot and not watching her though I explicitly said 100MG.  I immediately noticed she'd sold me the 10mg the second time and said I didn't want it. She told me she'd already rung it up..... I hadn't paid yet. Horrible experience and I wont be going backI'll be boycotting this unfair business practices with fellow likeminded individuals.

Over priced, and flush your plants properly. And don't let the name ORGANIC alternatives fool you.

Terrible service. I am permanently disabled and live in Loveland. I purchased a defective product and tossed my receipt and packaging (as most people do). I contacted the manufacturer of the product and they explained they have a comprehensive no questions asked return policy and they replace defective products for their retailers free of charge. Their email told me to simply return the defective product for a replacement.I went into the store and was offered no help in this regard. I didn't have my phone on me so I limped back to my vehicle three blocks away and retrieved my phone to reread the email and bring it back to present it to a manager. I return and ask for a manager and this 23-year old Rufio looking kid comes out and explains that Organic Alternatives, who is a retailer of this manufacturer and the exact spot where I purchased the product, does not offer returns or exchanges without a receipt or original packaging. They are cash only as well even though I know the exact time and date I purchased it as I was at an event in FoCO. Also the manager told me arguing with him wouldn't help the situation but no argument was presented I was just a customer being told one thing from the source and then the retailer tells me they are wrong and I am wrong. I will never support this place again and make certain ai spread that word.

Terrible customer service.I bought a cream here, not being told that all sales are final. The cream wasn't affective so I took it back. I was directed to a manager who was not cooperative or kind by any means. She gave me attitude and talked to me so condescendingly. She told me she would not take it back, which was fine, but her attitude was super disrespectful and rude.I've been told that their prices are more than surrounding dispensaries'. I would suggest checking out any other dispensary before this one. This "manager" was extremely rude and not helpful at all.

Kind of expensive tbh, and the vape pens they sell continually fail for some reason.  Very high quality herbs though. Have never been disappointed with the actual product. Just think that $60 an eighth is absolutely ridiculous. Overall, I like this place but could be more affordable

Wow, who'd a thunk in our fifties we'd consider partaking...but when in Rome, and Rome is legal?? Lol, and we weren't the oldest in the joint - pardon the pun ;). Cannot say enough about the class and ease in comfort of this establishment - from the free ice cold water bottles and shade canopies provided outside to beat the 'high' altitude rays of the sun, to the extremely nice and efficient check-in and service staff. If this is the face of legalization...Illinois needs to strongly consider. Class class act and an unreal product.

It is hard to review this place because while the actual experience buying was meh, I just consumed what I purchased last night and loved it so much so it is hard to know whether you review the place or the product....I'll say I'm very novice, haven't smoked since college 8 years ago, and went with my mom who hasn't smoked since the 70's prob. While we didn't want a total rastafarian place, we hoped that staff would put us at ease and give us lots of pointers, and be enthusiastic about their business and not make us feel like tourists. That didn't happen perse.It is a very sterile and business-like environment. When you come in you wait on couches to be called back to the pot-counter.In there, our server was cold, almost bothered by us, didn't offer any helpful tips, and mocked us in his own way. At the time I thought the prices were ridiculous, and also thought the edibles looked unappetizing in their little sterile packages. We paid, with tax, about $10 for a little cookie (the "Rookie Cookie")BUT the cookie actually smelled and tasted REALLY good. We ate a half each, and it took 2 good hours but then we started to feel it. It was a really good mellow high, not like anything I've been able to obtain from smoking. So half a cookie = $5, I could never get that buzzed on $5 worth of alcohol, so in the end I figured the prices actually weren't that bad. Also didn't experience any bad side effects.

One of the worst dispensaries in Cali/Oregon/Washington/Colorado. Holy shit this is the stalest bud ive ever bought in my entire life!!! Stay away! Bud they show you is nice and fresh. Bud they sell you is old and stale and breaks into dust in your hands. Spent a ton of money on a quarter of bud and some hash and was very disappointed when the bud was stale as hell. Will not be returning.

Lost my Colorado issued state ID. went to the DMV made a new one. went back to the dispensary they requested a voided ID. so I presented a government-issued military ID but they still turn me away, with a new Colorado state ID and a government-issued voided ID which they requested. terrible. one star. also parking is never nearby.

I trust Organic Alternatives implicitly to follow the myriad of regulations imposed by the state. Their service is excellent and most of the staff is quite knowledgeable, particularly in relation to which type of marijuana products are effective for pain, stomach issues, etc. I have a MM license and find the prices quite reasonable. Owner Steve Ackerman was intrinsic in bringing legal marijuana to Colorado and we owe him a great debt of gratitude for all his work. He continues to be involved as regulations evolve at the state and city levels. As a result, he's always on top of things and will never put a blemish on Fort Collins' marijuana service industry. Organic Alternatives store features a stunning bar and mirrored back straight from Sam's Old Town Ballroom, a fond memory for long-time residents. Ackerman owned Sam's and warehoused this gigantic ensemble for many years. It lends a great deal of class to OA's sales area. The MM sales comprise one side of the sales room with non-medical sales on the bar side. The waiting room is large and pleasant, with a wall full of well-made OA sweatshirts and the like. Steve also showcases some interesting photos of varying marijuana strains. In summer, OA often has a long line outdoors. They provide an awning to keep waiting customers out of the sun and a cooler provides bottled water. In all ways, OA makes the MJ-buying experience a pleasant one.

I stopped by this medicinal marijuana shop out of curiosity and wanting to see what a legal head shop was like. I was shocked to find this business appearing more akin to a jewelry store than the shady bodega I figured it would be. I was carded several times before being allowed to enter. I was upfront with the employees that I simply wanted to look around and see what the fuss was about over the whole legalization debate. One of the employees took his time to show me around and explain their operation. They offered a full range of plants with varying potencies and he could explain which type was best suited to treat different medical conditions. They also offered edibles in the forms of cookies, brownies, candies, and other various forms. It was interesting to see what the medical marijuana business was about. In full disclosure, I didn't purchase anything from this establishment and, thus, cannot comment on their pricing, quality, or quantity for price.

Definitely worth the trip! On a cross-country adventure, we decided to detour and found this amazing spot. The guys on staff were awesome. Everyone was friendly and took the time to let you know how the shopping process worked. While I waited my turn for a few minutes, they even offered me a free cold bottled water. My experience was so great that I had to go back for a second trip the same day! "Highly" recommend stopping in

Organic Alternatives has a friendly staff and is clean. However, Organic Alternatives is also overpriced by about 25 - 50% compared to other dispensaries in Denver or Boulder. A couple specific examples include Gaia's Garden Brand Candy Edibles which Organic Alternatives sells for about $18 to $20. These same exact candies can be found for half the price (about $9 - $11) at other dispensaries. Additionally, you'll be paying about 30% more per gram at Organics. Overall, Organic Alternatives is decent if you're stuck in Fort Collins and don't want to drive to Boulder or Denver. However, you will get a better value for your dollar elsewhere.

Awful customer service. I would give zero stars if I had the option. I was told there was a 30 minute wait. Since I had my dogs in the car I asked if I could step outside and come back in 15 mins. The guy at front desk said I can step out and check back in after 10 mins. When I walked back in after exactly 10 mins he said we were skipped and had to go to the end of the line or come back tomorrow. After clarifying that this wasn't a joke I left and went down the street to Choice Organics. How about I come back never? I'll spend money elsewhere.

Today was the grand opening of Fort Collins' first recreational marijuana shop. I wanted to be a (tiny) part of our town's history, so I headed over right around lunch time to investigate! When I got there, a food truck was parked next door (genius idea) and there was a line of about 15 people outside. Luckily, there was some shade under the awning, and employees were handing out free cold water bottles. There's also a place to lock up your bike right outside, and plenty of parking available. Everyone was in great spirits and the wait wasn't too bad, considering it was their first day--I'll be curious to see how that line changes once all the undergrads come back in August...After standing outside for 30 minutes, I was brought into the waiting room. From there, it was another 30 minutes of waiting to be called into the actual shop. Once inside, though, it's spacious with comfy furniture, AC, magazines, and more friendly employees. At this point you start feeling like Charlie Bucket, waiting to be unleashed into the Wonka Factory. Service was friendly and efficient--I've been to a shop in Boulder where the employees were clearly stoned, which really slows things down and isn't very professional. Luckily that doesn't seem like an issue here--everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable, and seemed mindful about keeping the line moving. Lots to choose from, too: edibles (cookies, mints, etc), wax, pre-rolled j's, and much more. They were also fully stocked with regular bud, which was nice--no running out of the best stuff early on. There was an excellent range of options and I left feeling very satisfied with my purchase. (I'm also *currently* feeling very satisfied with my purchase, if you catch my drift.) Prices were on par with what I've seen elsewhere--yes, the tax is painful, but it's great to help out the state and the legalization movement. They lose one star because once I finally got into the shop, I was told that they didn't sell single grams. If you wanted regular bud, you had to buy at least an eighth. This was unexpected and expensive, and no real reason was given for that rule. So, for lightweights out there (or people just looking to dabble), you'll be spending a lot more than you planned on. If this policy changes down the line, I'd easily give them the full 5 stars. I'll definitely be coming back here. There's no reason to drive to Denver or Boulder anymore for a wide range of high-quality green. It's all happening!

This was the first dispensary I have ever been to. The building is extremely nice, and they were the only dispensary to scan my I.D., which made it seem professional. My budtender was friendly, down to earth, and helpful, which made my experience so positive and all worth it. On top of that, he gave me a discount on my purchase. Considering how great of an experience I had, I will be returning in the near future.

They should change the name to Greedy Alternatives. As another reviewer already pointed out, their edibles are priced about double what other dispensaries are charging. I noticed the same for concentrates when they tried to rip me off charging $70 a gram for shatter that sells for $35 elsewhere.  If you're a college student stuck without a car this is the perfect place to waste your parents money, otherwise do your self a favor and drive to Denver or Boulder and get twice as much for your money.

From the moment you are buzzed in, the friendly staff is super helpful and you get the feeling of being around friends. The environment is very inviting and everything is neat, clean & organized. The staff is very knowledgeable and will go through all of the products with you. They are also pet friendly! I would recommend anyone in the area to come to Organic Alternatives.

Organic Alternatives is a really nice shop inside. The prices are good and the staff is very knowledgeable. This is a great little place for all your needs. Good news is that you can use card payments soon! Right now it's cash only. It would be great to see them talk more about their growing process and if they have any sustainability values. All of their products are organic obviously. They do recycle/ reuse the packaging which is great! Make sure to bring back your packaging to get a discount!

Super friendly staff both over the phone and in person. The space is beautiful, well thought out, and is super spacious. You walk in and are welcomed at the front desk. You'll checkin and have your ID verified. There are comfy couches for you to relax in until your name is called and you'll have one on one time with an associate to answer questions and make sure you have everything you need. Very knowledgeable and will guide you in the right direction for all kinds of your greenery needs.

I recently moved to Fort Collins and this dispensary has become a fast favorite. Great selection and customer service. Their online ordering is really easy and user friendly as well.

I love Organic but I do wish that they didn't pre-package their product. I used to pick up 2 or 4 grams not really knowing that wasn't a standard measurement and I would receive 2 individually packed grams of the same product. This bothered me but hasn't been an issue since their online ordering only gives you a few options of measurements. Overall, I feel they have adapted their systems really efficiently in wake of COVID.

My sister and I had never made a purchase from a cannabis outlet, but her husband's pain and sleeplessness from surgery mandated our going to Organic Alternatives.  The sales consultant, Monica, took her time with us, explained the benefits and drawbacks of the various products, and at one point, reached out to my sister to comfort her as she could see her anxiety.  Our experience could not have been better.  Thank you, Monica.  You are a blessing.

So you are telling me that you can't sell merch online or replace a 10$ shirt after spending 700+ dollars in a day. Just my thought. Clearly not very good customer service. If you are in Fort Collins I would highly suggest to NOT go here. The flower was C+ at best and their wax was more like hash. Shatter wasn't shatter. Reason for one star is because it is close to downtown

I went in yesterday looking for some edibles. I was greeted by an extremely friendly and energetic man named Matt! He was super knowledgeable and took the time to explain all my options and what product would be best for me. He was outstanding! 11/10 recommend this dispensary and Matt!

Love the order ahead option. It normally is ready within 30 min even if I have to schedule it for a couple hours out. I went in on Christmas eve last- Monica and everyone were so amazing and nice. Great staff, great prices, and great product.

Just wanna take the time to Thank Jamie for her immaculate services on yesterday. She was super energetic and very knowledgeable. A Visit to Colorado would be incomplete without stopping and shopping at Organic Alternatives. Matt, my personal bud tender was cool, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Greeting staff ..exceptional! I believe anyone would feel the same. Got a great price on a sale item. However, all prices were excellent.
