I usually love coming here and never have any issues especially during the ongoing pandemic, but then I came in yesterday with a friend, the girl looked at her ID and let her in, she looks at mine and says she needs to scan it, which is fine my ID is usually always scanned, but I found it extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable that the employee at the door got so close to my face and asked me to pull my mask down... "for the cameras." I've been here numerous times and I've never been asked to pull my mask down, especially since my ID was already scanned. I've never seen somebody else asked that, idk if this girl was new but I feel really uncomfortable and don't know if I wanna go back because I don't want to pull my mask down around strangers in a dispensary..

I love this place, and the people working there! They are always extremely helpful and friendly, and they send me home happy every time! It's the only place I go to in Vancouver.

I love Vansterdam!! Every time I come to town to visit my daughter we make a trip to the establishment!! We don't have the luxury or privilege to do this kind of shopping in Arizona as yet but I am hoping!! I think it's really amazing to be able to enjoy your medical or recreational products with such ease that you don't find elsewhere! The staff is always super helpful with maneuvering through the extensive menu! So many fabulous edibles it will make your head spin...pun intended! I look forward to every visit to Washington just to say High to my friends at Vansterdam! See you in December!!

Folks are nice.  Who wouldn't be, working in a pot shop?  Never been inside, only do walk up due to being unable to wear a mask.

I walked in last week and was disappointed by the service I received,I decided to speak with a manager, I had to wait for him to be free, and found he really didn't care.Wow I used to like this place.waited a week to see if maybe it would change my mind,it didn't.too bad

Consistently providing good service and quality products. While the set up of this dispensary isn't my favorite, I do appreciate that they're going for a different feeling than most dispensaries around here give. Parking is always easy to find even though sometimes it can be pretty packed.

I came in from out of town and stopped by. Christina was able to help me and tell me a little bit about the brands that I did not recognize which was really cool. She was also able to help me navigate around the area and answer some of the local questions I had. There's a good selection at the store and I was really happy with what she helped me choose. I have completely stopped going to any other weed store for dabs! The flower is good, but can be a bit on the pricey side. The staff is great, they are always right on top of helping me RIGHT when I walk through the door. The staff are pretty straight up when it comes to answers on what the best bang for your buck will be! I like how safe they are about Covid, and for the most part the store is pretty open!

Amazing store.  Great service,  and prices and selection are far better after their remodel.  By far the largest dispensary in the Portland vancouver metropolitan area.

Best dispensary in Vancouver. Huge range of prices, you can find something no matter what your budget is. Also love that they have a points system so most trips I am able to get $5 off, if not more. All the people who work here I have interacted with have been amazing and always fast to help. Feel guilty going to any other place now because I don't get points and New Van isn't getting the business

I've only been here once and I have never been to any other cannabis clinic. I'm from Hawaii and live in Utah now (Places like this will never exist in Utah). This place is awesome! It seems a little intimidating at first because they have so many products, but the workers are very friendly and open. They have booklets/menus for customers to browse the selection they have on hand and to see how much each item is. The store is very clean and well kept. The products come in professional sealed bags. The most amazing thing that I've found is that they're prices are very fair. Some of their products are on sale and others are under $15 for a gram.Even if you don't smoke at all, it's pretty cool to see this place and how professional it is.

Second stop on a tour of 4 of "Cannabis Clinics" in the area.  Good:  Great place for a first time buyer.  We were hooked up with a sales person as we entered, and she was great for breaking down how everything works, asking a variety of questions, and helping out in every way.  Was quite impressed with the knowledge of the sales rep., she nailed it.I wasn't as interested in making a pot purchase, but the prices seemed higher than other places I'd visited. Bad:  ended up buying a grinder, after seeing one that would work in their display case.  It was a simple silver grinder, but upon viewing the purchase at home, the other side of the piece has a really un-awesome skull and some blades.  Since you can't physically touch anything you're buying while in the store, this was a pretty shady bait and switch.Overall, I liked this place, I'd drop in again.

All of the budtenders are great, and the product is always on point, but I really go there mostly to flirt with Brian ;)

RECREATIONAL marijuana! Need I say more?!After recently moving to the area from another state I knew I was going to have a tough time getting my hands on some quality herb. Then I remembered, WA has legalized marijuana!Did some research on the local recreational shops and first thing that caught me by surprise were the prices. However, it made sense because this is still the first year of legalization and all the kinks need to be worked out, like pricing and laws in regards to having marijuana out on display but other than that the shop is very solid.If im paying top dollar for a gram, anywhere I go, Id rather continue going to NV because their store is nicer and larger, the prices are the same, if not less than other places, and the variety, oh man the VARIETY.Id suggest going here than anywhere else, unless you have a OMMP card, then you can always go to New Vansterdam Medical in Portland.

Horrible customer service we waited for 20 mins to be helped nothing people who walked right in got helped before we did. Don't bother wasting your time just go to the Herbert instead you'll get better customer service

Went in the first time today.  To say I was impressed is an understatement.  The store is beautifully set up.  Very warm and welcoming.  My favorite is the ordering kiosk, with everything there, policies, descriptions, and the best thing...I can filter products, thc levels,  varieties, cost, etc...best pot buying experience in town

They, OK. Nice buds. Cool clerks. Picked up some medical. It called 420 , really says right on the bag 420. $6 a gram. High THC, low price, smooth smoking. Not exactly fresh organic grown in the sunshine flower. But it has a little smell

They sold us weed from FEBRUARY and this is nearly JUNE.  Product is smell-less, tasteless. If anything it smells like hay. Great shop guys. Too bad you're product is OLD AND NOT WORTH PURCHASING.

See kelso, he's a straight homie, knowledgeable, 1st rate, no mistake. He helped me find that vape. Also bought a tincture that I thought tasted great. I got a good mix, 200 CBD mix with a 100 THC. No complaints that I can see. Except yelp making me write more than I wished originally. I got to post this as a review so people have clue. Not imbedded as tip that gets missed like the blip.

The people are incredibly knowledgable and very friendly. It is worth a trip across the river even if you just want variety!

This recreational pot store stuck in the middle of a strip mall in Vancouver is as good as any of the places I've visited in the Bay Area as far as organization, selection and price. Color me happy and impressed.  All good here ;)

This place is awesome and one of the OG stores in the Couve so they have a great selection and setup is easily navigated. The place is packed full of goodies and treats for your liking and prices are good. Everyone is always super cool and helpful and also the VIP system is super rad. They are always knowledgeable and helpful.

Everyone here is so helpful, knowledgeable, and nice!!! They know their strains and growers  really well.

This place is odd.  They feel very generic,  nothing special.  The set up takes a bit to figure out.  There is an entrance where they check ID's then comes the display room.  They have lots of selection.  Edibles where in two separate areas.   There is staff to answer questions and help you figure out what you want.    You tell them what you want then go to the next room and wait  to be called.  There are people here who gather your selections from the storeroom and call you up.  Then you go the the cashier and pay.  The space is the biggest of the dispensaries I have seen.   The set up means that once you figure it out it moves the crowds through.

This is a new place to me and it has terrific variety of flowers and other products, such as concentrates and pre-rolls and some gadgets to use ! Thanks again M

Retail marijuana is all over Vancouver. The market is mature. The selection is exceptional and the pricing is good. The only thing an outlet has to distinguish itself is customer service. On this point NV fails miserably.  I recently bought 2 identical vape cartridges there. One worked. One did not. I returned in less than 24 hours with packaging and receipt. I was turned away. Told that it worked fine on their test unit.  Not sure why they thought I'd waste my time trying to return a brand new cartridge less than 24 hours later. What was my master plan? I had purchased 2 identical ones for a reason - I wanted them.  The manager was dismissive, condescending, rude and arrogant. Leaving me standing there for several minutes with my product and receipt in his possession while he casually chatted with co-workers.  It was clear immediately their return policy was a a fraud. Rather than treat me with respect they looked down upon me and called into question my honesty and integrity.  I used to drive out of my way to shop there. They kept my money and the useless cartridge. I left with my dignity and my business. I will not be back.  Don't go there. Way too many choices. Avoid. They don't appreciate your business. Don't let them have it.

I came here today because it was their grand opening and I wanted to participate in history - one of the first within the State of WA to smoke LEGAL weed!  I came around 8:30 AM this morning and there was a line.  I think I even saw a small vendor on the street selling some WA WEED T-shirts.  Anyway, we were queued in line because they restrict how many people are let in at a time. Their twitter profile shows some preview pictures of the inside and I must say that the photos are accurate.  It was very nice looking on the inside.  Their layout has what appears to be lacquered wood stands.  Unfortunately, they were only able to sell me up to 3.5 grams per purchase.  ALSO - because its a Brand-Spankin-New Grand Opening, they felt the right to charge "Arm+Leg+Leg+Arm+Head" prices which translated into 24 dollar grams and 68 dollar 8ths.  21% THC content high quality Blue Dream and Querkle were available to me - but that really didn't phase me too positively as the 'alternative' can beat their price by a factor of 4:1.  Otherwise, the experience was pleasing and different in a sense:  They keep the bud out of public view mostly - there are Ipad Minis that showcase photos and specs on the various strains offered.  There are also small magnified enclosed containers that have scent holes to look at the cannabis and smell it - but I found the containers restricted the smell so it downtoned the potential smell I would have smelled if holding the bud itself.  Also Their ordering system is very left-hand friendly - they use clipboards with a dry erase marker.  You checkout the different strains on the ipads and write down what you would like to buy.  They then ask you to walk towards the exit - Unlike typical dispensaries, everything is pre-weighed out and packaged as shown in my photos.  They do not offer custom amounts - you can only choose 1 gram or 3.5 grams (a dub or an 8th)Despite the terrible pricing, I've given them a high review for the following reasons:Nice environment (comfortable)Non-pushy bud-tenders.VERY cool artwork - pleasing to the eyes with style.They were very receptive to the idea of Accepting Bitcoin (hopefully this can happen soon!)

I like the selection at this place. I'm happy to see they lowered their prices on the sprays and tinctures, which is usually what I get. I find the staff hit or miss. Most of the time I get a knowledgable staff person who's helpful with the questions I have but every 3rd time I go it seems I get the most unhelpful person. Like today when I asked a guy "Can you tell me about this tincture?" And he said "Well, what do you want to know?" So I said "What's it like, what does it do?" And he responded "It comes in a bottle..." Wow. But other than that it's usually a good shop. I think the next time I get one of the unhelpful employees, I'm just going to walk away and talk to someone else.

It's beautiful and classy! Great prices and the staff are AMAZING!! I've been in many times and they never disappoint. I even got some great topical for my mom who has a lot of joint pain..... it soooo helps her.Thank you New Vansterdam!!

It is very professionally managed and staffed.I've had better experiences getting information on edibles and other non-smoking format products here than other stores in the area.They've recently changed how they handle payments (floor staff would enter your order and you would pay at the cashier near the exit/product pickup; now you pay and receive product from the floor staff who helps you). I'm not sure if this will have an impact on service.

Seedlets in my 32$ gram, what are you thinking!!!!That's right seedlets, meaning under developed seeds, meaning my marijuana was cultivated early (translation not as potent!) I normally wouldn't spend that much either but was assured after the reality of the lack of available specials by the super awesome Sales Shark that he's tried almost all the stock and this was awesome stuff. In reality it's sub par and disappointing. I was becoming a regular and I will be driving north from now on. Dear Shark, I told you I would let you know what I thought.

Caters to the middle-upper-class pothead.  The product at New Vansterdam runs the gamut from fair to mostly good (and even very good), but the staff and pricing leave a bit to be desired.Pros: - Broad selection of flower & products - iPadsCons: - Budtenders here been spotty historically but seemed better the last time I sent in.  Staff at other Rec MJ stores locally have been friendlier and more helpful in general.- Pricing tends to be on the high side, though occasionally a good deal can be found.The floor plan is nice, stylish lighting, and sleek iPads to browse products with.  If you're wondering what you're paying a premium for, it's probably the iPads.

After paying $42 for a GRAM I came home and weighed it. I came out to .7 grams right out of the package. I got in contact with New Vansterdam. They said they would get back to me. A week later, I got back to them. A guy named Jacob said he would make it his "first priority" to fix the problem. Again, they would be in touch,Another week later I was told they were too busy. I decided to make the drive back to Vancouver to visit them in person. A woman greeted me enthusiastically at the counter. I told her the short version of my story, and her demeanor became immediately hostile. Moral of this story: NEW VANSTERDAM IS TERRIBLE TO CUSTOMERS. GO TO MAIN STREET MARIJUANA! The product, prices, and customer service are so much better at Main St.

I love this store. It's really nice inside. I have always been treated well by the staff though once when I was there I had someone new and he didn't know as much as others.Quality wise, I have had great luck with Heavenly Buds weed. Consistently very good.

The staff is friendly. but this place is crazy expensive, I think it's because you are paying the Oregon border tax. For example. I went to a place in federal way a couple of weeks ago and paid 45 dollars for 3.5 grams of very high quality bud, and 40 dollars for a tin of "Zoot" which is a THC edible. The prices at New Vansterdam were significantly higher. I recommend driving further into washington if you are planning to make a large purchase, it will be worth your time, also, once Oregon allows medicinal sales I will absolutely be boycotting this place and other like it for cashing in on the border traffic. I honestly hate that I have to waste my time and gas driving an hour away to get a fair price on these legal products.(Response to New Vansterdam response) So basicly your saying you understand that there was a price gap and you were fleecing oregonians for no reason other than you could make more money off of us and the people in your community who didn't want to drive further away? Noted, thank you for your honesty New Vansterdam.

As far as vape shops, haven't been to any until this one. I was visiting the area and thought we'd drop in to check it out. My friend who lives in the area, loves the place. She claims it is one of the cleanest and friendliest places around. I do have to say, they are more than willing to give you advice and help you in making your choices. Had a great time legally partaking!

Huge change.  Big.  Giant.   Prices are now perfect.   Lower than some places in Oregon! !   Thanks for giving us the options for cheaper grams.  You guys are A++++ in my book.  Good quality nugs too.  I never leave disappointed.

I'm a newbie. After a few hours of research online, I went to New Vansterdam because I thought it would be a place to learn further from experts. I approached a woman at the first counter. I was clueless, and admittedly so. The employee was good at giving me a blank stare or being condescending for every question I had. I left feeling defeated. I bought a few things to try out but won't go back.

This place is terrible! The products are insanely weak and overpriced. The guy they hired to manage the place treats his customers and employees like garbage. The guy oozes incompetence while trying his best to pretend he knows what he's doing. The place is always empty, which leads me to believe that I'm not alone in my evaluation of New Vansterdam. When you're own employees go to the competition to buy product, it's time to re-evaluate your business plan.

Nice place, allot of variety from different strains to devices. A little confusing at first but would definitely come back.

Still the worst weed store in Vancouver for flower. Very few good growers, usually old and crispy. Drive a half mile down the street to mary janes house of grass. Way better flower selection and cheaper prices. This place blows bammer smoke!

This place sucks, the staff dont have any idea about what they are selling. Im a medical marijuana card holder and Ill never step foot on this place again. Products are over priced and alot of the flower is extremely old. If you want/need the best of the best and a knowledgeable staff go to High End Market Place. If your a medical marijuana card holder dont shop at new vamsterdam.

The first time I entered the store I was a bit confused, but with a little guidance I was pleased to see that New Vansterdam implemented a new stream lined system for ordering. If an associate is not free they have ipads on the counters that you can use to look through a digital menu, add items to your cart, and even send your order through to the cashier! In the past we wrote The order down on paper and handed it to The cashier that way.The staff are knowledgable and honest about specific strains and quality, they may not all be perfect but I know they are speaking from personal experiences and recommendations from other staff. Although they couldn't specifically recommend anything for my back pain (as they are not a medical store) I was offered a variety of strains for my budget, and other products such as edibles and concentrates to suit my needs.I ended up purchasing a stok atomizer for my current ergo battery to vape concentrates out of and I absolutely love it! I also purchased Headband from Life Garden growers. The weed was quality, a bit less attractive than the more expensive bud but I knew that beforehand because they allowed me to view the products and select what I wanted for my budget. That being said, it was a clean sativa high with an uplifting effect. I also tried the berry sour creme from Phat Panda and that was an extremely pungent indica that helped relieve my muscle aches and bring on a dreamy sleep. I would definitely buy more.I appreciate the variety and range of different growers that they provide here at New Vansterdam as well as the helpful and energetic staff!! Thank you for making my experience one that I'll share with others and creating a safe environment for me to purchase marijuana.

I just want to say that, I have found New Vansterdam to be a wonderful place to get your marijuana needs met. They are knowledgeable and very friendly. I have found other stores to be less on the knowledge and more on sales. New Vansterdam seems to strive to really help you with your needs and what would be a good fit.Thank you all.

Just a couple weeks ago it was $50 for two grams of GSC, went back just a couple days ago and now it's $60 for two grams.  As if it wasn't expensive enough already. I get that they are taxed to the moon but I don't see a reason for such a steep price increase in such a short amount of time. Not to mention the bud we got was crispy as hell and burned really fast. There's no real quality control and no care at all seems to go into how the weed is grown. The good reviews seem to basically just be people who are excited about "legal" weed and people who like Apple Products.If NV wants to be more like a "farmers market" they should care more about how their growers raise their plants. More sticky, less crispy.

My version of heaven on earth. People are very knowledgeable about their products. Very helpful in answering any questions. Looked to be fully stocked to me. And the pricing is awesome for the quality that you get. I will definitely make this a regular place to stop when I'm on that side of the bridge.

I've been twice now and each time the staff was more rude and unknowledgable than the last. I Continually get snubbed and pushed strains that were not even close to what I asked for repeatedly. This last time to a point I was so frustrated I just straight up left and took my business to main street marijuana.

I drove all the way from Molalla Oregon to visit your store this morning.  My first impression was of the magnitude and mind boggling variety of product and accessories available, your menu was more than impressive, secondly the professional and very friendly staff left me feeling that I am definitely going to return (Everyone of your staff was smiling and saying hello!!!!)Then there is your easy to find and convenient location.Then of course there is the product.  WOW.I will definitely recommend you to all my friends.Thanks for being who you are!!!

If you are going to sell only one product, don't sell weed that turns to dust when you open it. I shouldn't have to try and rehydrate it. I'm already missing the black market. At least it was cheap AND smoke able. The funny thing is I told them I was there because another shop had really dry material. They laughed and said they knew that place has problems with dry marijuana. Also, both times I went there, they got the order wrong. At least the second time I didn't have to drive all the way back. Most places would give you a little something for your trouble since it was their screwup. Not here. Here's a tip for the workers at new vansterdam, the people who work in liquor stores are not drinking during work. Got it?  You will when you come down.

The best recreational spot for Mary Jane in Vancouver. Awesome product, staff and deals. Holidays always bring nice deals and the staff is beyond fun and friendly. I've gotten sativa, hybrid and indica that have brought new favorites into my world. "Sin Valley OG" and "Dutch Berry" are absolutely amazing when in stock. Thanks guys!

Awkward flow throughout  the whole establishment. When I arrived it was not very busy and there were quite a few employees working yet no one acknowledged me until I spoke to them. Prices were on the higher end for the area. I would say if the process was slimmed down and the interior was cleaner looking and not look like a college friends basement they could get my business again. I just do not think you need to order one place, pay another, pick up at a third. Streamline the process and all will become better.

Best customer service! Incredible selection and a very non intimidating  atmosphere. Great for newbies and old hats! Oh and great prices :)

Being used to the cannabis clubs of San Francisco (*sheds tear*), I was a little confused upon entering New Vansterdam. It's like a food bank- that's the best way I can describe it. It's got an open warehouse feel and everyone is SO DAMN NICE, it's insane. A smiling old gentleman checked my ID at the door, he almost seemed like an enthusiastic volunteer. They are cash only, most likely because banks and creditors are not friendly to cannabis clubs, but you can use one of their two ATM's for a $2.50 fee.As for selecting your weed, there's just several open counter spaces and you wait for someone to be free to help you. This was slightly frustrating, but it's their system so ya gotta get down with it. They recently adjusted their prices, which is the only reason I went. In California, a gram at a cannabis club will set you back an average of $20- at New Vansterdwam, about $50. Whoa. Except now they offer dime bags! Sativa, indica, blends, they have something for everyone. To checkout: you wait in line at the checkout room to pay, where you are given a receipt that you take to a separate counter to retrieve your goods. Food bankish, eh? New Vansterdam is about all we've got to serve Portland, though. Since they're so friendly, I'll likely pay them some more visits.*Disclaimer: my purchases were legally consumed in the state of Washington on my last visit up to see my mom. Yes, my mom. She's pretty rad.

This place has so many options, and really solid joints.  They have fun drinks too, my friend and I got lemonade and it was bommmmb.

I had a great experience here!  The staff was great at explaining the various products.  The prices are on the high side compared to the black market, but not overly so.  We should be happy to be supporting these businesses and buying the product through a legal channel after decades of oppressive laws designed to pad the pockets of big business and put poor people in jail.  The quality was pretty good, and for $100 it lasted a while.  With time, the prices will even out.  In the meantime, what a great step forward and a great store!

Wow, this really is a special place..... Show them proof of there price gouging and they delete your posts. They try to sell themselves as some type of crusaders in the fight to legalize weed, brag about how they are helping schools and the local economy, but in reality are shadier than a street corner pusher.

First off everyone should stop blaming them for the prices! it is pricey but keep in mind that this is a legit business that has bill and employees to pay as well as the ridiculous taxes that they are required to pay. If I had a choice I would pay more to go somewhere where I know what I'm getting and don't have to deal with shady people who slang on the streets. Second, the product itself is awesome. good selection and while it is stored in plastic bags it wasn't nearly as dry as other reviews make it out to be. overall I had a great experience here. staff was friendly and knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions I had. There are ipads with strain and grower info on them, big selection of glassware, and hardly a wait time (I even went right when they opened and was in and out in about 25 minutes most of which was me shopping around and asking questions). atmosphere is very laid back and not shady or uncomfortable like other people were bitching about. It's a store where they sell weed. what exactly are you expecting?! I'm from California and have been to several dispensaries that are also legal and have had much sketchier experiences.it was a very cool experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I'm very glad to support someone's small business!

Product review: The weed they sold was poor quality. Taste: 1/10. Hardly tasted like weed. Not pleasantMoisture: 2/10: Very dry. It was labeled that it was packaged nearly 2 months ago. The prepackaged joint made me cough a lot. I tried to vaporize some of it, but it had little effect, either due to low potency, low moisture or both. Had to use a water bong to be able to handle it. Potency 2/10: First, I was given a lower potency product than they advertised (see my review of the buying experience below). I smoked about 1/4th of the gram the first time, which usually a quarter of a gram gets me blitzed. It was good, but I was only half baked. I smoked the rest in one go, and for that much I should have been in another world. I had moments, but nothing like what I'm used to. Effects 4/10: For a pure sativa strain I expected a lot more get up and go. This made me surprisingly tired at times. I usually fly around, dance, want to get out and paddle, walk, play basketball, whatever, but there was little of that. Again, there were moments, but mostly my get up and go just got up and went. Overall: Still the worst weed experience I've had for quite a while. Disappointing that this store has such a long way to go.

Price and presentation need improvement but everyone is exceptionally nice.  Just kind of cold and eerie inside.  Not as warm or inviting as some of the other locations in the area.

I really liked this place for the most part. All the employees seem knowledgeable and are very helpful to the newbies like myself. I have been disappointed the last 6 or so times I've gone in. Over the last 6 months they seem to always be out of the high CBD vape pen cartridges. The time before last, my husband went in and got me one (the first time in months they've been in stock when either of us have gone in) and it was defective. I'm sure if I would have gone in there they maybe would have helped me out. I was just beyond irritated. My husband went in again today to get me another vape pen and they were of course out again. I had an alternate list for him from their menu and they were out of everything. I am going to try another place for awhile. I am disappointed that they can't keep their stock up.

I must say this is hands down the best dispensary I've ever been too! I've been to a couple and it wasn't quite the experience like this one. When I walked in the set up was amazing for a marijuana store it still had a classy feel too it, I was immediately greeted with one of the employees told him it was my first time in this store, and Jerome started by giving me information on the menu everything was colored coordinated by the different type of marijuana strands and categorized by edibles, wax, and etc. At the end we ended up purchasing some dutch hawaiin and getting baked. All in all I will definitely be back to this dispensary and I suggest anyone that wants a good dispensary to go here, or even if it's your first time to go here.

Quality cannabis.  Top notch staff. Yes it is expensive.  But it's LEGAL. Please keep that in mind. The staff is super helpful.  This is a top notch operation.  Check it out.

High prices for edibles. Cost almost double the price compared to other shops downtown. I shopped here 3 times before trying a dif shop. I feel dumb for nor looking around. They do have fast and friendly service like their competitors but I see no reason to go here if you're looking for edibles.

I have conflicting feelings towards this place.  PROS:  It's local. The inside is nice (still doing some work though).  It's easy to take home some buds. Nice collection of glassware, vapes, etc.   CONS:  Its ONLY easy to take home buds if they have any!!!  3 times I have gone only to be told (by a sign on the door) that they are out of product.  At least now they update the website  telling you they are out.  Expense.  I get why the prices are so high.  Everyone's hands are in the cookie jar.  But, $60 for 2 grams of really dry product is expensive.  Buds come in sealed pouches that you CANNOT see through.  Am I getting giant stems and leaves?  I dunno, neither will you.  In closing, check the website before you go and bring a wad of cash for when you do.

I use to enjoy it- but then the employees make me uncomfortable every time. They follow you around and stare without saying anything besides "are you ready?" Not to mention the only reason I went was because their industry says were Thursday- Sunday. Then went in on a Friday and was told they don't do Friday and Saturday anymore because those were "money making days"- no biggie. But then I went in on a Thursday and the guy said "nope we only do it Sundays" incapable of looking at me in the eyes and with his arms crossed. So needless to say I won't ever be coming back.

New Vansterdam is OK to get your marijuana products. But if you've been to any of the other stores in Washington it's got a little bit more to improve on. I have two main issues: price and presentation. The  prices are quite a bit inflated. For example the spot brownies were $39 at new Amsterdam, but I've preciously purchases them for $25 and $29 at two other Washington locations. Regarding presentation, there is no product available for you to look at. Like when you go to a liquor store and you peruse all the bottles to find what you want. Everything is in a text menu with no photos. Would be nice to what's buying.

Love this shop! Tons of glassware to look at, and a nice atmosphere with art on the walls. You can look up information on strains via the iPads they have set into these incredible log counter tops. By the time I made it around to the checkout there was almost no wait. Very pleased.

This place gouges an example $25.00 for one gram of so so pot!  Do waste you money on Farmer J. Its lawn cutting, They are running 50 to 60% over street prices. They change the price every day.  They run out of stuff and try to push  more over priced product on you. They play the security card to ad nauseam  and have to many employes.   I will buy off the street until prices stabilize and come down 50% These guys are a rip off and I won't support the greed,

The pot is really good, but the prices are absolutely insane. I went here just so I could say I bought a legal 8. Beyond that I'll stick to my guy who finds things. But really, I gotta say the UW I got here was really good. Fuck, if they had rational prices I'd be a loyalist. I'm so torn. And stoned. And watching con-air with some Kool-aid. Where's my pants I need ice cream....

Vansterdam has its pros and cons as a business especially when you compare it to other dispensaries in the area prices are a bit higher and I'd say other places may have a tiny advantage in quality but they have an excellent staff very helpful Vansterdam is a lot more organized and much less chaotic than some other Vancouver dispensaries and if you just want to go somewhere to purchase wares of this nature without having to go through the other unnecessary parts of the purchasing experience i.e. Crowds, loud music, chaos etc. Vansterdam should be your one stop shop for all products Marijuana and to be honest whatever small shortcoming they have compared to other dispensaries are so small they shouldn't move the needle as to where you choose to buy.

Hours say open... Yelp says open yet...I'm staring at a closed store.  Very disrespectful.  You're lack of dedication and passion for you're own industry disappoints me... Goodbye.

I have been coming here since the first day it opened. I live in Gresham and still drive all the way there for many reasons! 1) The staff are always friendly and helpful! They know me by name and have offered many times to call me when certain products come in and alert me to new products they carry that they know I will like 2) their selection is the best and most consistent than all other stores I have gone to. They keep the menu updated and even identify what is running low 3) the building is inviting and fun. You don't feel like a drug addict the way the Oregon shops make you feel like with the two door/window enter acne! 4) The management team has always been fair to me with bum cartridges or vape pens that are defective. They truly care about their customers leaving with a good experience! Especially, his name is escaping me at the moment but he has groomed beard with brown/blonde hair and he doesn't smoke cigs but he vapes... Dang can't remember his name but he has always been awesome and helpful and I have seen him with other customers and he is a good guy all around! ( will update if I remember his name) but he will take care of you and make sure you leave there with excellent products. All in all this is a great place with great people and worth the drive in my opinion!!!! Thank you!!!!

New Vansterdam was my favorite of the three shops I've been to in Vancouver. I'll tell you why. New Vansterdam makes the process easy with a streamlined system for getting folks what they need. The store is very well laid out and if you know what you want you can help yourself to their self service ordering via iPad. Extremely convenient when I'm looking to just get in and out. If you don't quite know what you're looking for, there are always SEVERAL employees just waiting to help. I have gotten good info from everyone I have spoken to. They seem to know the products better than bud tenders at other local shops I've been to. Also, a nice plus, I've never had one of their employees try to up sell me if I had my mind made up. I have been to shops where I have declared what I want to get and then face a battle with the bud tender as he/she try's to tell me what I want is garbage while they try to sell me on their most expensive product. The staff at NV will make suggestions on products they really like, but are always courteous do not push. Jerome has given me some really sound advice when trying to make a decision between 2 strains, and now I look for him every time I stop in. There is always a good selection of product from low price point to high. If you're on a budget or looking to splurge, there's something for you here.

Completely and absolutely most atrocious customer service I've ever experienced anywhere, used to be my favorite for almost 2 years now I don't even recognize New Vansterdam bought a cartridge and went to exchange less than 24 hours later because it was clearly defect and leaking through the airways. AND NOPE they tested it and it "works" lmao what a freaking joke don't play me for a fool. Absolutely avoid Vansterdam!!!!!! I will never return honestly.

Employees were very helpful. I came up here from Arizona and decided to have a legal good time. Sure it was expensive, but I'd rather have my money going to a honest establishment than some sleazy, no good drug dealer! Anyways, after using their fine product I disappeared in time every time I blinked! Where am I?

Hey kids, I went to check this shop out on their opening day. Now they seem like they've got a frill too many for my taste (explaining to a group about different strengths and wanting to be like a farmers market). The prices were a bit steep, not as bad as their competitor in Vancouver though. I'm hoping in the next few months pricing will come down to a reasonable price and they won't be giving you the whole intro. Only time will tell.

Super organized and professional.  Staff was knowledgeable and engaging.  Samples for smelling and viewing.  ATM machine on site - cash only.

This place has lots of potential, but I wouldn't recommend it yet. The filming of customers, even if its not going to make the cut, is a big turnoff.  Their main room has nice wood counters, but has no accurate menu board with pricing.  There are (pointless) iPads throughout the room that they are clearly into, but they haven't thought them through.  I've seen them argue their reasoning for the iPads each having only  one strain profile on each one....as if I want to wander the room looking at 17 different iPads.  I gave up. The budtender wasn't overly welcoming, but was very helpful in the end.  Strains were quite limited, but that is not their fault...blame WA.  Prices are way too high, but I'm sure will drop based on the market.The product was decent but lacked a proper cure.  It was what I expected.I will probably try it again after they work out the system a bit.  Again, there is potential.  I hope they try to implement some changes.

I recently visited New Vansterdam looking for a  no thc/high cbd tincture for someone I know who has epilepsy.  My partner and I have repeatedly urged her parents to try this with her,  but they won't act on it. So I  ask the woman at the counter if they sold high cbd/no thc tinctures and she says "What's a tincture?"   Really?  I thought to myself... So I explained it is a solution that is taken usually from a dropper and she says "We aren't licensed to sell alcohol." Who said anything about alcohol?  Either she was stoned or just clueless,  maybe both. Plus the person at the door was not friendly.  I  don't know anyone with a medical card either so in trying to help someone who has seizures I definitely found out where not to go.

I have purchased a number of grams of different marijuana strains over the past year from New Vansterdam (during two visits). After years of not being able to buy any pot, I am taking some time to get reacquainted with pot and it has been very interesting to see how different the pot of today is from yesteryear. Fortunately, New Vansterdam has much to choose from!And I have to say my most recent visit was made even better by the nice young woman who spent some time with my me and my two friends from another state, explaining the menu, differences between weed and edibles, etc. She represented herself and New Vansterdam in a very professional manner! Nicely done!I have been very happy indeed with ever single strain I purchased from New Vansterdam. A few were even better than advertised, in my experience! Not a single disappointment! I wasn't happy with the pricing, but hey, I expect pricing will come down and/or level out when Oregon starts selling recreational pot in October. And I, admittedly, will start buying my weed in Oregon instead of making the long trek to Vancouver (sorry New Vansterdam, but you must know this is going to happen a lot). Because of my positive experience with the Vancouver operation, I intend to also visit their new store in Beaverton - but this will be after a visit to a dispensary that is literally just a few minutes from my home. The growers that supply New Vansterdam in Vancourver are outstanding, at least the ones whose wares I have enjoyed. I can only hope that the Oregon growers they use are as good or better!That said, what I think New Vansterdam can improve on is the following:1. Include some photos with your daily menu!2. Tell whoever is managing your web site to set it up so that people who submit questions/comments via your site receive an automatic reply telling them that their message has been received (this is just common courtesy) - and then tell whoever is responsible to respond!! In this day and age, if you want your new pot business to have some modicum of legitimacy and credibility with consumers, get your web site act together! Sheesh. I spent years working in the industry as an IT process consultant and I can tell you with all honesty, you have a very broken process - please fix it! 3. Pipe some gentle music into your shop to warm the place up. With just displays and lists of text for menus, your store comes off as kind of sterile. Not necessarily a bad thing I know, but when you are the only one in the store or with just a few others, it feels kind of cold. My #2 comment above is the only reason I give the store a 3 star instead of a five. It's really irritating to use a website to ask questions and get no response whatsoever.All I can say is I wish New Vansterdam well and hope their business continues to thrive! Oh, and I really liked the new sign. Very nice!

My husband and i went in yesterday for the first time. We are from Austin, TX. (Obviously the last state to legalize). Honstly i read the yelp reviews and was really sceptical. Dont listen to the bad reviews!  Door man, nice old man. Staff A++ one in particular CeCe. She really made us feel super comfortable. Is it expensive? Ofcourse, but so was alcohol after prohibition am I right? They had 25 different stains, equal selection of indica and sativa. I'm a indica fan myself and highly recommend the purple og kush. At 21% t.h.c. let me tell you it goes right to the head and is truly cerebral.  We bought the solo vaporizer and were both blown away!  We both truly hope y'all take the time to read this review, we are both 100% sincere it what were saying and how we feel about our awesome experience buying marijuana legally for the first time in the. U.S. and we will be stopping back thru again!

Stopped by today because the other store in Vancouver is even worse, had a decent experience until I saw the menu. The girl on the way in tells me how vast their menu is today full of options, well they had two options for single grams and about 10 for joints, which are a rip-off, and another couple options for eighths, that were just out of my price range, I cant spend $130 on pot, cmon. If they want to have a pre-roll option they can't only sell pre-rolls, and the prices have actually gone up since last time I was there. A lot of other reviews here are stating that its not their fault or making excuses for them, but I don't buy it. They have high prices because of taxes? so the 10 or so ipad minis didn't cut into the price at all? Seems like these guys thought they could hang a shingle and the money would start rolling in, but its a business, they have to work to make money not just price gouge. I know the tax is somewhere around 25%, so a gram should cost around $20 max. California dispensaries keep prices between 10-20 while paying overhead just like this business so I don't buy that argument. I don't think this is what the voters had in mind when they legalized it.

The first review is a plant. Anyone should be aware of reviews that are scripted in the fashion of a commercial. I have tried to deal with this business and have witnessed the most unscrupulous behavior I have ever seen with any type of business. They are outrageously gouging. when the product runs low, they increase their prices to levels that would make any street dealer rich. Example: "All we have left is pre-packaged joints, minimum of three each for $45".  They are selling pot for 3 to 5 times the going rate. These people are cons.  I f you call them they tell you that they are FULLY stocked, but when you go in there they they tell you that they are out of stock of everything but they have this and that left and try to cell all that is left at OVERLY  inflated prices. I DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AND WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER!!!! BE CAREFUL OF THE REVIEWS.

Would give them zero if I could. My first trip in, I'm relying heavily on their employee to guide me. Points me to a pipe that she says can be put in the freezer to cool the smoke, so I can avoid diving right into the full heat burn. So I buy it. I get it home. I put it in the freezer. It breaks. They have a "no return" policy. I'm not saying I wish them any evil, but I hope they get shut down for doing something illegal.

You guys don't really pay attention to why the price is so high do you? Someone said, the tax is only 25%. Partly right: 25% paid by the grower, 25% paid by the processor, 25% paid by the retailer and another 8.4% WA sales tax (varies from city to city). So there's 83.4% not including B/O. Did anyone mention that under Federal law (IRS), 280e isn't an option for this industry? Every other small business in the US can write off: rent, staffing, utilities, cost of goods. They can't. Trust me when I say that everyone in this industry want's, and is lobbying for, tax changes. And that they will all pass this along to the consumer. The business isn't sustainable in this model. You want to do something constructive, drop prices on flower, concentrates and edibles that are lab tested for pesticides, THC, CBD, mold and water content? Contact your representatives in congress and tell them how you feel. There's positives on all sides of this: consumers getting quality product, the industry giving jobs and maybe making a living, the state making a positive cash flow for police and schools. For those that didn't like the atmosphere: I've been to dispensaries all over the country, and coffee shops in BC and Amsterdam. Not every place I've visited was my cup of tea. There's no way to build a shop that satisfies everyone. That's why we have Brew Pubs AND fast food joints AND grocery stores. While I'm sure eventually there'll be a shop where you'll feel at home, I'm happy with my service at New Vansterdam. The prices are high, but I'm getting what I pay for.

I have been here a couple of times before. Yes, the prices are high but that comes with legalizing weed. The staff seemed pretty friendly and helpful. I don't have a lot to say about the product. I purchased a RIF pen and 3 pre rolled joints, the pen is awesome, expensive refills. The joints have filters on them so you have to rip them off, I found that odd. Weed in the joints was mediocre. I haven't had much to complain about until tonight. I called to see what they had in stock, lady gives me the run down. Mind you, the hours posted say they are open until 10. Hours posted on yelp say 9. Their voicemail also says they close at 10. I pulled up at 7:15 (15 minutes after talking to lady on the phone) along with 4 other cars and they were closed... I hate to say that because of this they have lost my business, but it's true. So so weed and false advertising when it comes to the hours that they are open. I've got better things to waste my money and time on.

I found their prices to be way too high,and it also seemed that one of my purchases of a gram was small.  Sorry, but it is way cheaper at another shop in downtown Vancouver,  The people seemed nice enough but with their high prices try another place.

There are plenty of things that New Vansterdam shouldn't be faulted for, like the ridiculously high price of MJ or the fact that the growers are gouging with inferior product in WA.  The state's lousy, hyper-controlled rollout of what the voters legalized are to be blamed for this.The things I do fault New Vansterdam (NV) for are numerous, though.  I have a medical card, but wanted to go up to see what the whole "legal" experience was like in WA.  Spoiler alert: it's what you'd expect from Vancouver, WA.The good:-you can buy legal weed hereThe bad:-first, this store is somewhere between a state liquor store and a porn shop.  It feels shady and unwelcoming.  Fluorescent lights, beige walls, very boomy and loud, a "shotgun" showroom like a gun shop.-I was more knowledgable than most of the staff on marijuana strains.  Today they unveiled the new pre-loaded oil pens.  The staff knew nothing about co2 oil, I actually had one of them tell me that the $79 (sold for $25 in dispensaries) was a "good deal"- on said already expensive vape pens, NV's prices were $10 higher than other stores in WA (I'd checked them out online)-it didn't seem like most of the staff were MJ users, more like the other drug that starts with an M that's very popular in Vancouver WA.-you can't select the buds you want.  They all come pre-packaged and there's no way to tell if you're getting shorted on weight or not.-it's all pay by cash (which right now is the law).  But, you can't buy from their tellers, they have to write a sheet out with quantity and bud, and then you take that to their "registers"So, there it is.  Things not discussed in this review:-filming people in the shop without release forms or signs-the "marketing rep" from the Monkey Grass Farms had never tried their product.  Imagine that!Bottom line: expensive, bad vibe, seems like the wrong people got a license to distribute.  Seems like everyone who got into the weed game in WA are cynics that don't partake, in it to scam consumers.  Nice job, WA.  God, it hope it gets better.

I went back to New Vansterdam and my previous visit must have coincided with an unusually good supply. Everything was insanely expensive and they had very little selection in the way of whole flower sativas. One advantage of Washington's recreational cannabis system is that you can buy the exact same product at multiple locations. 3.5 grams of J's Critical Plus is $85 at Main Street or you could buy 3 grams of the same product for $120 at New Vansterdam. That is not a small price difference. I grant NV that the wholesale prices are high and the taxes are high, but we wouldn't have to pay such insane taxes if they didn't insist on taking 300% markup across the board.

I never thought I could use stressful and weed in the same sentence.     Although this is the better of the only 2 offered shops without driving 50 miles.  It is annoying.  I just wanna go in make my purchase as I would if I were to get beer or a pack of smokes.  Quick and easy.....with an updated menu online that I can actually read.  But. Gotta go in and wait forever behind all the people some of which started smoking "yesterday" to get their tutorial on how to smoke.  Can they consult elsewhere so that the people who just wanna get on with their day can get in and out.  It would be nice if the prices came down too.....just a smidge....But they won't because either we have a choice of them or Main Street (yuck) or driving miles and miles away for a better deal.  And there are better deals and other strains to try in this great state.  So can we get a little bit of that down here.  Maybe u don't need 20 employees a shift either.  Maybe consumer can pay less if we aren't paying for so many unnecessary employees wages

I made my first trek over to this store today and was very very pleased.  I'd read the reviews and while I understand that a lot of people are upset about their prices I also know that this is a retail store and a very nice retail store.  I mean your not buying from some shady dealer off the street here.  The store is beautifully setup in a reputable business mall with helpful sales staff whose salaries don't come off of trees.  I felt very comfortable in the store which is unusual for me, I usually feel rather uncomfortable even in many headshops.  There were quite a few other people in the store representing a cross section of demographics, not just the stereotypical potheads and old hippies.  The store had the feel of going into a non-snooty jewelry store and picking something out.  I'm sure the prices will come down some when the supply in Washington catches up with the stores demand but it is going to still cost more than buying it on the streets tax free.

We were loyal customer for a long time , until they took my husbands vet discount away and told him he could only get it on sundays . We decided to go patron another shop after that since his service was no longer viewed as something that deserved the discount 7 days a week.

Always have a great experience when I go in, staff is friendly and helpful. They have a very nice selection and rewards program.

If I could give a ZERO STAR.. I would of! I needed to pick up and I was so happy to find out that they were still open till 11:00pm, and were less then a minute away and I pulled up to the doors at 10:54, got out and the bald guy looks at me and pulls the blinds and turns off the OPEN sign! I couldn't believe that he closed (early) when it would of taken me less then a minute to grab my weed and go! How is this taking care of the customers? I wouldn't recommend this dispensary if it was the last dispensary on earth .. rude and unprofessional!! Ruined my night!! Not stoned ! Mary Ann

Love this cannabis shop. They have come a long way. Interior is beautiful and spacious, staff is incredibly helpful, and the weed is always stocked and fresh. Only store I have seen that has a huge cooler to keep your weed fresh! #1 Pot shop in this area.

What can I say about Craft that isn't said by just experiencing how freaking awesome this dispensary is! They are always super friendly and treat their customers with respect. There's so many nice folks there! Shout out to Jarod for being the sweetest bud tender evah! Love this place

Came here with a girlfriend for the first time and boy was I astonished! not only did they have great selection and were super nice. But they could answer any question we asked and had little to no wait times. This is a great felling during the whole Covid crisis!

I wrestled with the idea of deleting the review I made about my encounter with some of the staff at Vanansterdamn which is now known as Craft Cannabis.After My last Encounter with racial discrimination here I moved to Main St Marijuana's eastside location. Looking for someplace to buy smoke without the color of my skin affecting the service I get. It was a long day at work and I decided to order a terp and MSM was out. So on a whim, I check VA and was surprised that they had one of my favorite items. So I snatched up a double order. As I was leaving a night manager by the name of "Christine" came out and approached me about my review. Now the fact that she knew that I was there and who I was, was kinda strange when reviews are somewhat private and you don't have access to the person's info, like who they are.She told me my review was harsh, and that the "Owner" Seen it. And that they would give me 50% off my order if I took it down. Not once did she apologize for the actions of her employees, not once did she even speak about diversity in Vanansterdamn. She was only concerned with me taking down the review as it shows who they are and that's bad for business. I told her, "The fact that your saying something shows you care". Then, after getting home and thinking about it all she cared about was the negative review and how it made them look, she talked about what she cared about. As for how I was affected and treated? She never once said anything, I mean she is a manager and the first thing you do is try to rectify the problem right the wrong. She was interested in me taking down my review and that they will pay or reward me to do it. Nothing about addressing what happened or how it will never happen again, or what I should do if it does.So about two weeks later I am thinking it's in the past just let it go. Well, I forgot to take it down or even update as I am doing now and then I figured I will get around to it. Thinking everything was cool, I pull into Craft cannabis and there was a cop in the driveway. I pulled into a parking space to back into another one.  The cop was talking to a manager from inside. When I pulled into a spot to back into another this clown pulls up and blocks me. So I am looking at these two in my mirror who are smiling like they know they are messing with me. So he finally moves so I can back in. He then pulls in beside me and starts harassing me. I am sure it was at the request of the manager whom he was talking to, as it sure the hell looks that way. Shocked is an understatement. I thought VA was a cool spot in the beginning. There are some cool people here, and then there are the ones whom you can see the hatred in their eyes. Esp some of the girls, now not all of these people are like this. I have dealt with only a few. Jarred is the main person I have always dealt with. He is a nice guy along with the big guy with the tatts and beard...Both knowledgeable Budtenders whom I trusted enough that their knowledge influenced my purchases. To be 100% Honest it may have been a fluke exp, but I doubt it. I know it will never happen again, at least to me. I will never return to Craft Cannabis. They have the best selection in town hands down. Been coming here since it was NewVansterdamn. They have been great about procautions with the pandemic and its so spacious we don't have to worry about being on top of other people while shopping.

Hi, I’m a Wa medical card holder. I highly recommend this dispensary. The employees are so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Not only do they garner great product from our local vendors but specifically what you need!! They offer multiple product price points as well. Always something good happening here. That says a lot! Give them a try you will NOT be disappointed. Luv this place….. ?

Mckenzie is the best employee there, in my opinion. She has helped me pick very good product every time. She takes some time from her day to start conversations with me every time. Great customer service, great store, great products, and THE BEST EMPLOYEES! I cringe anytime I go into a shop and they don't act like this staff. I recommend Craft to everybody I know!

I have reviewed this shop before, but had to come back and do it again because of how amazing this shop and it's staff are. Not only do they have great smoke, but the staff is hands down amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable and happy to help .They also go above and beyond like today when I got a flat in the shop parking lot. As I started to change my tire in 91 degree weather Chris, the shop manager, came out and change dir for me. He didn't know I am partially disabled, or that I have issues with chronic pain. He helped me just because he saw I needed help. Thanks again Chris!

Recognize it’s like a car dealership for THC. They have a mega selection. Which means they have plenty of bud-tenders. They will come on strong pushing 1/8th’s & Half’s out of the gate. Unfortunately that’s an effect of sales incentives. This can have a negative effect on customer service. It may feel pushy & in-genuine to the customer at times. Luckily I had a organized bud-tender who had a decent outlook on what he was doing there in the shop. He understood that I knew what I wanted & did his best to lead me in my desired direction. All with a socially realistic attitude.

We have been able to enjoy a pretty good cross section of Craft Cannabis locations. Really exciting to see their business develop the last couple of years in Vancouver. Love that they keep rotating growers and that we can almost always try something new. Helpful staff that almost always have quality recommendations and competitive pricing. Their loyalty program makes this our new favorite Dispensaries. Shout out to Mike B. for impeccable service every time!
