My wife's iPhone 11 wasn't working right. Instead of going to SLO we decided to make the appointment in SB. (We live in Orcutt) Wife surprised me after the appointment to Coastal.I'm cheap so I asked about the cheap eighth for 25 and the guy knew exactly what I was talking about (without judgement) then my wife asked about the prerolls (she doesn't smoke) he listed a plethora of joints and, being a cheap ass, I'm just "lemme get 2 of the 8$ ones"It was a great day.Quick serviceNo judgement on me just wanting cheap stuffAnd lastly it's 3 days later and I still have some left.I will be back next SB trip.

They are difficult from the moment you have to be showing picture ID twice, then they upsell, private information given, then staff doesn't listen, rude.

Loooong line.  Customer service is sooo slow. They need more people working here. Makes me want to wait til I go down south to the Syndicate.  So disappointing have to wait so long.

This is, by far, the best dispensary I've ever been to. Yeah the product is great, and the selection is unmatched. But more than that, the staff is so friendly and so helpful. From management to security and everyone in between. It's like one big family. Thank you for always making us feel welcome.

I tried to go purchase from the store and was turned away, the security person said they close at 9:50. WHAT!? I raised my watch and looked at the sign on the door that say's 10:00. The security person was a total  jerk and says "well... it's 9:52". Never had such a rude experience from such an indignant employee. The front door sign, as well the all of the other signs say 10:00.  (NOT 9:50). The store still had customers in it shopping. WOW! NOT COOL! The Asian night security guard is an @** hole. It was my birthday I drove from far away and I got turned away because they want t go home early!?Bad optics for a brand new business, lazy beginner stoners. Never again! I am going to "Farmacy dispensary" on Mission and Delavina, from now on.Hey Coastal, we came and compared to the others... it's a no.

Got everything I needed. It was during Covid so everything was to be asked for once you got up to the counter. The place was clean and staff was helpful.

Coming from New York, this was my first time at a proper dispensary and I did not know what to expect. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about what products specifically fit my needs. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in SB.

In fact.... just go to Organic Greens Collective in Goleta. I bought an ounce of The same Autumn Brands herb for literally $100.00 cheaper at Organic Greens Collective. Go look up how much upper staffing/ regular staffing they have at this place. No wonder the prices are so high. It's a great place to go if your getting off of the grey hound bud across the street and can't wait another second for some product. Coastal isn't the place for you if you are a local.

Awesome shop and the staff was really nice and a pleasure to talk with. I'm not sure why their are so many complaints and lower ratings. My guess is because most people just complain about whatever they can. This place is clean, fast, open, and you aren't scoffed at if you don't know exactly what your shopping for. I live in the Seattle burbs and frequent our shops weekly. This one is just as good as any I've gone to in our area. I wish we had thc infused beers in our area, but we don't. Snagging  a box of the Lagunitas Hi-Hops is one of the highlights of my trip to the area.

Great service and knowledgeable staff. The store has a chill atmosphere and it's usually not crowded. Parking is easy and location is perfect for including in downtown errands

I have found that AJ is the best guy to go to at Coastal Dispensary. Did I mention that coastal is the premier shop in town? Go see AJ and he will get you what you need!!

Best in SB ! Very professional informed staff beautiful atmosphere so many products I've never heard of and so much information given. When you ask you really get the information you need instead of them just trying to make a sale they can educate you on all kinds of things! Also is not one of those dark cave like dispensaries i like most of them! It is brightly lit big spacious and very upscale! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

WoW! What a gem. Perfectly thought out, clean and inviting space. Great location for locals, and visitors hoping for a unique experience. So many options of brands, products, and a wonderful staff equipped with experience to tailor to your specific needs. Really excited about this spot, cannot wait to return.

Way over priced, I normally get the same exact item for $12 cheaper than it is sold here. Staff was moderately friendly, but that's about it, and they offer no industry discount, like the other dispensaries in town. I won't be back!

I was pretty impressed with this dispensary! This place is very classy and chic, and must I add that the staff was very friendly! I came here for a gift and I was really indecisive and uncertain of what to buy. I am very appreciative on how patient and extremely helpful everyone was. I definitely will return and recommend this dispensary!

Nice design on the interior and all, but very overpriced. Paid way too much for an eighth, and it comes in a cheap bag in small pieces and tastes like skunk.Not worth the money at all.

Hi my bf and I shopped here for the first time April 08 2020. I got a cookie and he got an eighth. I'm small (90 lbs) so I ate 1/4 of the cookie but I couldn't feel it's affect until consuming half of it. A half seemed to be just right. The eighth smelled good and was not poor quality. See pictures for pricing and content. Shopping experience was fun.

Such a great dispensary, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Made it such an easy, relaxing experience going in from the start. Katie was amazing and so sweet while helping find what I was looking for. She's great at her job and incredibly knowledgeable about all the different brands. She made my experience at Coastal one I won't forget!

Love this place. Great products and great staff! My go to spot in Santa Barbara. They have something for everyone, also they run some pretty solid deals, got some awesome gummies for a penny!

Pros:Staff are pretty, store is really clean and well lit. Selection is decent.Cons: Quality of product is average, at best, and the decision to feature their own lines of products makes comparing to other dispensaries difficult. That said, there are a bunch of products that will set you back $400+ an ounce for flower. I have no problem with a service going upmarket, but comparable product can be had almost anywhere else for 20-40% less.I prefer one of the Ojai dispensaries in terms of vibe and much better selection, and I have to admit that I feel like Coastal is pricing based on being singular in SB. I'd prefer for them to staff their stores with less obvious focus on the aesthetic: pretty is nice but really.I've purchased product here under their brand that has been pretty poor. Finally to all dispensaries: have product in glass up to 1oz. I don't like the ton of plastic and paper waste that comes from having to buy in 3gram bottles.Two stars for being clean and having friendly staff.

Great central location, nice modern store with a cool vibe, very friendly and helpful staff. The real issue is that they charge 30-40% more than other local sellers for the same products. It was nice to visit once, but the price difference is too much to ignore. Probably won't be back.

I went on to review this dispensary and saw a negative comment that caught my eye. This dispensary is the best in the area in my opinion and the staff are marvelous. The receptionist is insanely nice. I was there when the manager "blew off" one of the recent reviewers. He was being rude and was dismissed. Been coming here for a while and never had an issue.

Amazing dispensary but only made more amazing by Jared's assistance. Extremely knowledgeable across multiple brands, deep deep understanding of THC from pain to energy to mg dosage levels, etc.... Solid Valet for the day. Thank you Jared and thanks to Coastal for employing such a knowledgeable young man. Best of luck to all.

Love visiting Coastal and I love their products. Recently purchased an ointment for my husband's arthritis and it relieves the pain within 10min. The staff is always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! I especially love talking with Roxanne Bourbon, she's so helpful and every product she's recommended has been amazing! I love this place! My budtender alexis is the best hands down.  Her energy and recommendations keep me coming back.i only go when she's working. This place has aesthetics and quality all on one.

Everyone is always very accommodating upbeat and enthusiastic about their products this has been consistent and subsequent visits. The place is spacious very open and very bright.

I'm a loyal customer at this dispensary. I've always loved the custome service. However, today, I saw they had a product for 0.04 cents for an 8th. Thinking it was too good to be true, I place an order online, and it confirms that the price is correct. I recieved the text message, and it confirms again. I get a call about 40 minutes later from Coastal saying that the price is void bc of a computer discrepancy. So I ask what can they do for the inconvenience, and the guy or the manager, offers me a free pre-roll WITH the purchase of something else. Considering that this was a mess up by the company, I would hope they would would offer more than a free pre-roll for a mistake made by them.

I've been a regular returning customer for a few months now. I was really impressed with how nice it was inside and how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are every time I come in.

I've been a loyal customer since they've opened and usually have very good experiences going into this dispensary. However, today I went in and encountered a very rude staff member at the register. If you're out of a product, take it off the shelves, especially if it's been out of stock for over a week. Then you won't be annoyed when someone asks about it. Thankfully it was the end of the day. Had you started my day off like that I would've asked for your manager.

Finally!  Now this is what a dispensary should be! It's the creme de la creme of pot shops!  Do yourself a favor and visit this new gem!

I am new to the area and visited Coastal to learn about its products and the area. I was impressed by the store...so new and had a great selection of products. I was helped by a bud tender named Brandon who was really helpful and had a lot of information to help guide me in the right direction. Not the cheapest around, but the best experience by far. I will definitely be back.

By far, the best in its class. Finally a downtown location that competes with LA and OC. Beautiful storefront with great selection and service.  Thanks for raising the bar Coastal.

Overpriced as hell. I drive 30 minutes just to go get better product at a lower price. Plus their GM is a douche

Biggest & best dispensary in the area. Excellent selection/product, friendly and knowledgeable staff, beautiful and clean store. Even the apparel is top notch. Will be returning on the regular!

I visited coastal on Monday around 1pm on dec 16th. I was very excited to try out this dispensary. However I was disappointed by the way we were greeted and treated by the receptionist. She was rude and unhelpful. She wouldn't look up my daughters medical card when we asked and beyond that was all together unfriendly. I was shocked. every other dispensary that I go to all of the employees seem eager to help and always treat customers with respect and kindness and I was disappointed that this wasn't the case at coastal. I would never recommend it based on how rudely we were treated, especially when there are other great dispensary options in Santa Barbara.

Couldn't ask for better service! I needed help ordering for delivery for my dad who had surgery and needed a few things to help with the pain. Best quality products, and most knowledgeable people there to help. Thank you guys!!!

Never order pick up, they apparently say that the online inventory and physical inventory do not match.  Went in for pick up and they do not know how to figure out a pick up problem. Just go in. The replacement solution they gave us was not good, but we were too annoyed and irritated with the whole long situation that we just took it. I hope next time is better and we get someone like the last few times who knows the inventory

False advertisement. I placed 2 orders online and went to store to pick it up but they said the website had an error so they didn't have my product. They asked me if I wanted to go inside store to buy something more expensive, I guess.Update your website! I drove from far to get my order.

I'm not one to write a bad review but I'm just pretty fed up with this place. I usually go here for convenience but it's not worth it anymore; it's way too expensive with sub par customer service. But the icing on the cake that pushed me to write this review was the delivery service. I ordered from Weedmaps, only to have my order canceled an hour later because they were out of the products.....okay that's fine, but I just wasted a full hour expecting a delivery...why not cancel the order immediately? I tried ordering online through their website next, and got a confirmation text saying that the ETA was anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. 2 hours later, no updates, I call the dispensary and they tell me the driver should be arriving in 15-20 minutes. 2 hours later, still haven't heard from them. I have now been waiting over 5 hours for my delivery. Why tell me it will be here in 2 if that's not gonna happen? Then why lie to me and tell me the driver will arrive in 20 minutes when it's really gonna be over 2 hours? Why even have a delivery service if you can't f*ckin deliver. This place is overrated and there's way better dispensaries around town to choose from. This will be my last purchase from Coastal.

I have spent hundreds here over the past few months and always had a great experience with all the employees... until... one of the guys that works here said my full name out loud in front of a line of people. I told a female employee that it made me really uncomfortable and ever since then that guy has to make some kind of underhanded comment to me every time I see him. For example, I was wearing a fanny pack bc I bike and he sarcastically said "cool fanny pack." The next time when I rolled up wearing just whatever clothes I threw on (as I usually do) and he said "cool outfit; you look really cool," but sarcastically. Then the next time, being facetious,  he looked straight at my Id then jokingly called me a different name. I also had my Id stolen so I have been using my passport card and this guy was literally typing all of the info of my passport down. Was just so sketchy. Another girl stopped him and took over, but still. It's 0% necessary. LISTEN, you need to take people's personal information SERIOUSLY. It's not a joke. A normal person would just be like "hey, sorry if I made you uncomfortable, don't worry, that won't happen again." No problems with any of the other staff, just this guy that has to take it personally when someone has concerns about their privacy. It's not personal at all, I just don't want my FULL NAME said out loud in front of a line of people (at a dispensary). That is understandable???? UPDATE: after writing this review I went back and the guy (a different guy who I see all the time there) starts acting different, asking me what my first name is after handing him my ID then goes on to ask me to tell him my last name? Dude, you have my ID, I have been there SO many times, stop playing. I'm over this place. Take it serious.

Worst weed at the highest prices.  AVOID AT ALL COSTSA bunch of corporate Chads trying to capitalize off legalization, take your business elsewhere.

If we could give a lower star rating we would.  This place is a f***** joke!  Their Security acts like Mousseline & Hitler wrapped in to one, and they completely ignore the length of their electronic leash.  I am SOOOOO Beyond   (Hello!...or, Farmacy) or just go anywhere else other than THIS place.  The problem is, the continual violations of Our rights.  The other night, a Coastal employee AND a Coastal Security guard BOTH grabbed at my Boyfriend and his phone!  (p.s. We do have video of this!!!!) The Security guard(s) have made racist comments multiple times, & we are just shocked that they can stay in business operating like this?!  We want to speak with a Manager, simply put.  We are denied every time.  Have a nice day & pass to the left, Peace....

Selection can be good but it hasn't been my last couple experiences.Staff use to be friendly and helpful not anymore. The prices went from pretty high to "NO WAY, HOW MUCH?"Never again

Went to this store today. Our initial experience in the store was pleasant and we received 20% off our order without asking for any discount.We purchased the Surplus pink cookies and a raw garden product.When we used the Surplus cartridge both my husband and I had a horrible reaction. To start the taste was bland as if the product was extracted I effectively and our throat and nose burned very bad.We went to return the cartridge and were told they would not take it back but would offer us a 10% discount on another product.We are both client centric individuals. We threw away the $65.00 product in the trash outside the store to demonstrate that it was in fact a very bad product. It sounds like they are willing to let a loyal customer throw away 65.00 than to extend customer service with care for a quality experience and concern for customer health and quality of product. We will not be returning to this store.

This place is amazing. I really love how knowledgeable the staff is. I'm honestly really picky when it comes to weed but they make it really easy  to get what you need. They always hook me up with free stuff and always seem really happy to help me. I also really like the layout of the entire store. It makes it feel like you're walking in an Apple store  overall have lots of love for coastal

I’ve always had a wonderful experience with the helpful staff at Coastal. I’m greeted with many smiles and hellos when I walk in. Everyone is willing to answer any questions about products I’m interested in. Today, Connor helped me. He was very sweet. And I appreciated him wearing the yellow Coastal gear. (It just so happens to be my favorite color.) Another successful shopping day at Coastal. ✌?

Rowena was amazing. I was having a little bit of anxiety, well actually a lot and I told her specifically what was going on right when I walked in and she jumped into action. She hooked me up with an amazing Indica that I could afford and it helped tremendously. She was super caring and definitely understood anxiety. She also made sure that she mentioned on Thursdays that I get a discount for bringing my dog in and so I’ll be back for that!

This place is awesome. You can't know the product or anything, but its good quality. I actually got this sleep aid, and 2 containers flower.

It’s always a pleasure coming in. Natalie was extremely friendly, very nice and helpful. I had a few questions in regards to products and what would be best and she answered them with a lot of clarity (I normally don’t buy flower but this time I did). She didn’t stare at me when I asked questions like other people at dispensaries do. Made me feel very comfortable. Thank you Natalie!

Excellent customer service. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Walked me through options and desired effects to find the right items for me, both from the average customer and staff's personal experiences. Would highly recommend
