Love this store more than any other in SC! Chris Balbach helped me make a few decions on products, and was really patient in explaining them all to me. Customer service is great here! I'll be a customer for life
My first experience here was great and I was excited to be a returning customer. They need to work on their check in system because I was skipped in line after patiently waiting my turn. I felt ignored and disrespected. I will not be returning to the ocean street location.
Cool place. Market style, you grab what you want and knowledgeable staff to answer any questions.
KindPeoples is my favorite dispensary in Santa Cruz by far, especially this one on Soquel. Julian was super friendly and incredibly helpful, I didn't feel judged or rushed at all. I had a lot of questions and they answered them all really well, I was impressed by their expertise! Overall my stop at KindPeoples was a great experience and I'll definitely be coming back.
This was my first time at the Ocean Street location and all the staff, Tyler, James and Tanner were so professional, helpful and friendly! Thanks for a great experience!
This was the first collective I ever visited, and I've been coming here for about 5 years. Before recreational smoking was legalized, this place was an absolute delight to visit. All the people behind the bar were increbily nice and compassionate. Such a good vibe. Such a HUGE menu. Such flexibility in quantity. Then, overnight with the legalization, the industry in general went from customer [patient] first to product and profit first. The glory daze may be gone, but Kind Peoples is still around. Albeit, it had to weave through some adjustments ... it was kind of like an adolescent going through puberty. There was that awkward period, things didn't mesh, the peoples weren't so kind and didn't care as much. So I kind of stopped going here. However, I gave it another chance. The past few times I've gone to pick up some bud, this place has knocked my socks straight off. Their product is just fire. So this is back at the top of my list. You want good bud, this place got it!
My bf and I came in late this evening and Michael R was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly during our visit. We really appreciated his optimistic attitude and knowledge. Thank you Michael R and KindPeople!
Two locationsI stopped by for vegan edibles. A staff member came out with a tablet with their inventory listed on it. I told her what I wanted, she found it on the tablet and submitted my order. They didn't have much of a selection for vegan edibles. My friend found an edible she had not seen anywhere else and it also became a favorite of hers and made a point to return and buy more before leaving.. (not vegan). When my order was ready, I was sent inside to the cashier to pay and pick up my order. I used a card and I didn't really listen to whatever the dude was saying but i got change from the transaction. I guess they can charge for a flat amount and give you the difference back..Staff was really nice, however, I would like more vegan edible options..
KindPeoples is hands down the best dispensary in town. Always the best products in such a lovely setting. Julian was super friendly and helpful during my last visit too.
They really are kind people omg. We got a nice selection and they know their products. Upon leaving our car battery went dead and Joseph jumped it for us. Thanks so much and stay safe. We will definitely be back.
GOT WRONG ORDER AGAIN third time got home to find out they gave me some 8% crappy pot after waiting in that line again get it together people
I went here with a friend who needed some help with her sleep. Heavy doctor drugs were too much and she had a lot of trouble waking up. We went to Kind Peoples and talked to them about how their products might help. Neither of us were experts on the topic, other than just a little internet research. However, the people at KP were just fantastic.Everyone there knew everything we could think of to ask about their products. When we explained our needs, we got both general educational and really practical specific advice. I with every retail store had employees as knowledgeable, friendly, and professional as the folks here. The irony is not lost on me that the most professional sales people I've ever met in Santa Cruz (after over 40 years!) we're here, in this place, selling this product. Huge kudos to the management for hiring the right people and training them excellently and, of course, to the sales people themselves. You've done a fantastic job making KP an extraordinary experience and in bringing your knowledge out to customers like us. In the end, on the advice of the staff, we found the perfect product for my friend, which she uses, when needed, to a tremendously helpful effect. The folks at KP really helped her improve her life.
My favorite dispensary! So many great products to choose from, and all of the staff is great! Althea in particular was very helpful and kind. Can't wait to go again!
It's a nice area staff are friendly but unfortunately they don't have what I was looking for. Ape grape stiiizy.
Michael R was super helpful. I had a lot of questions about strains and he was very knowledgeable and understanding. And anything that he didn't know he looked up for me. Great experience and I love the cleanliness and how organized everything was. Thank you so much! I'll be back!
The person we got to help us was Joe K. and was not helpful at all. Didn't explain much and said I only had two options for anything I was interested in. If I could give 0 stars I would for service. It's a shame because the place is huge and looks very professional and takes debit! I will not be coming back.
I would love to give this location a 5 star but the only thing (that's kiiiind of an annoying thing) is the parking situation, get creative guys. BUT the staff there is a thousand percent loving and kind. The store has a happy vibe where you can grab products from all over the store and they have an easy check in system. They have security in the front who have always been cool. A great spot that carries the Santa Cruz spirit.
I drove out of my way to check out this store at the recommendation of a friend. So glad I did - great deals and very helpful staff; especially Will!! I will be back!
James was incredibly helpful and friendly and made the whole process super pleasant. We will be back, thank you!
Super friendly staff, good product, reasonable prices. Check in to check out, everyone is really welcoming and, well, kind! The staff bed the counter knows their product and makes excellent recommendations. The prices seem on par with other places; and they have a daily special for the budget minded shopper which I know the younger people really appreciate. Of note, I had an issue with some product - and the manager, Michael, was both helpful and nice about it. No arguments, just refunded me and made it all right. Kuddos for that. Overall, check it out.
We don't live in the area otherwise this would probably be our usual spot. We always stop in whenever passing thru. They really are always kind at Kind People. Julian helped us out today. We picked up some pre-rolls to enjoy on this beautiful day. Everyone had on a mask. Sanitizer was available up front. Service was super quick! Nothing negative to say
Horrible experience at kind people on soquel ave today. I'm an avid cannabis smoker and use it medically for many personal health conditions that I suffer with. Today I had no choice but to bring my baby with me to pick up my medicine. The gentleman at the front was very nice to me when I asked if I could bring my baby in. He had to ask, when he came back he said his manger said it was a no so I asked to speak to him. When the manager came out he was very dismissive, he said there no way, too bad, wouldn't look me in the face, acted as if it was tough shit and policy. But no where on their website or even here on Yelp is this policy displayed. I begged him, even suggesting for him to just run my card for my pick up order while I stayed outside. He was over the conversation, looked like he wanted to say get fucked and walked back in. I go to several clubs weekly and this was one of my go to's but not anymore. That's discrimination as a mother who needs her medicine I was treated like a trouble maker off the street. My symptoms are exasperated now and my spirit hurt. Please Santa Cruz mother's and women who are cannabis users don't spend your money at a club that doesn't support us. So upsetting to realize the manager at kind people is far from kind.
Don't bother to go anywhere else! KindPeoples Ocean and Soquel are the best pot emporiums on Earth! Well informed and cordial people help you with any questions. Unsurpassed quality and quantity of selections. My highest commendation! Dennis N.
Terrible service and very bad and expensive weed. The server also lied and said the buds I got today were tested because I was worried about bud hardeners. I looked at Weedmaps and it says untested... I also paid 68 for an 1/8 and it's sub par... never going again. Taste is 6 high is a 7 smell is a 4. The buds they showed me first looked better than the one in the jar I left with. Go somewhere else. Also I responded to the email that the manager said to email in his response to my review below and they never responded
I decided to try KindPeoples after having subpar experiences at other dispensaries around Santa Cruz. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the staff and selection. Jack, my cannabis consultant, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for and even suggested a few other products that I ended up purchasing as well. I'll definitely come back to KindPeoples in the future. If you're in Santa Cruz and searching for cannabis, KindPeoples is the place and Jack is your guy.
I've been here quite a few times and the service is always average, nothing great nothing horrible... but not today! I went into Kind People's around 3:15 on 9/25 and everyone working was so amazing and nice! Usually I browse around by myself and if I need help I have to approach an employee, but today Chris approached my friend and me asking if we needed help. He walked me through the products I inquired about and broke it all down very simply. He helped me check out and had a great and friendly attitude the whole time. Very approachable and kind! I've had about a 3.5 star experience before today, but Chris brought it up to 5!
I really love coming to Kind Peoples, their selection and atmosphere is great. My recent tender, Josh, was also worth mentioning for his help and professionalism, as well as just being a kind person. You guys are great!
I went in, bought more than planned so had to use my card... beware they charged my almost 5 dollars in hidden fees in a order that was 25 flat... they told me they were running my card for $25 dollars and even gave me the receipt with that cost associated and change back since they round up to even numbers. Now my charge is over 28 with an additional 2 dollar side fee... come on, at lease be honest to your loyal customers. Really bummed and I'll never go back there....
Heads up on the way this place does their banking! The only plastic they accept for payment is a debit card, which makes your purchase a cash transaction (understandable, given the federal standing on cannabis). But they are not at all clear on the way they process your purchase. It's a slippery setup, for sure. When you run your card on the (standard, hand-held) point-of-sale card reader, the transaction will be for a rounded-up amount, and they will hand over cash for the difference between that and your purchase. The cashier did not explain why they do this, but I thought, "Okay, whatever." When she mentioned the $3.25 service fee only at the last moment, while I was in the middle of making the payment, I let it go. I figure I'd gotten that far, so no reason to complain now (merchants are required to post any transaction fees on their card payment machines, so this is a violation). But here's the thing that really annoyed me: when I reviewed my bank statement a week or so later, I saw a mystery "cash withdrawal" listed, "from a non-bank ATM." I phoned my bank and asked for the address of the ATM. It came up as the 7-11 store on Ocean Street in Santa Cruz. What? Never been to that store, so I assumed this must be fraud. However, the penny dropped when I compared the amount of the "withdrawal" to that of the KindPeoples purchase. Bingo: it was the purchase plus the (steep) transaction fee. So that was the reason for rounding up the total! But this get even stranger. The "cash withdrawal" from the "non-bank ATM" took place hours after I ran my debit card at KindPeoples. How does that work? If they are storing your card information on a device, and processing it later as an ATM transaction, that opens all kinds of privacy and security concerns. All told, I no longer trust this business. I know that cannabis companies have to jump through some hoops to avoid banks, but that's no excuse for this total lack of transparency. As for the edible products then carry, my only comment is that the dosage seemed to be inexact, among the various brands I purchased. I base that on the way they affected my body. I purchased a range of products from different companies, in an attempt to find one that would provide the right level of calming I was looking for, without making me loopy. For one product, the portion that (supposedly) delivered 10 mg THC was perfect for me, but in another product (from another brand) a 10 mg portion did nothing, and upping it to 20 mg (one more piece of candy) did nothing but make me feel dizzy and uncomfortable. I have read that uniform dosing is a common problem with edibles, so this isn't the fault of KindPeoples. But THC is a drug, and any drug dosage should be exact. Just putting that out there as a warning. I do recommend the Kiva chocolate bars. They taste great, are portioned in small increments so you can fine-tune consumption, and they provide a lovely feeling of calm. But if you do any business at this place...bring cash. I won't be going back there, though. (Addendum, regarding the reply from KP: 1. The cashier did not explain the "cashless ATM withdrawal" business, nor did she say that the fee was, in effect, an ATM fee (because the card reading device is effectively an ATM). She said it was a processing fee for the payment system KP uses. That is sort of true, but not straightforward.2. None of this explains the address for the "ATM" coming up as the 7-11 store on Ocean! After posting this review I was contacted by some unidentified person in "KindPeoples management," and that person could not or would not explain that either. 3. The "delay in processing" excuse does not hold water. I looked up the "cashless ATM withdrawal" system (designed specifically for the legal cannabis trade, btw, to skirt banking restrictions), and read this: "Cashless ATM is point of banking system (sic). A point of banking system (sic) functions in a similar manner to a traditional ATM however the transaction is completely electronic and a voucher is provided instead of cash confirming that cash has been debited from the consumer's bank account and directly deposited into the merchant's bank account." Directly deposited. Not hours later, and the transaction linked to a different address.
Terrible customer service! Stopped by to return a battery that I purchased from them, their brand in absolutely new condition because it just wasn't charging.. after a ton of questions I was told I was just past the 30 day return policy.. so they couldn't switch it out for one that worked. It's a $10 battery!!! I spend at least $100 every visit and you're going to be petty over a $10 battery! That's would not happen at most of the other dispensaries in town, will not be a returning customer.. hope that $10 was worth a lost customer.
I purchased a cartridge of cannabis oil for a vape pen. Took it home and attached it to a pen that I have used with spliffen, and several other oils. This cartridge lasted for two rips and quit working. I called kind peoples and they told me if I didn't use it with the same manufacturer vape pen. It's my fault and they will not exchange it. I suggested that when they sell these items to the customer they should disclose the fact that it must be used with with the same manufacturer. They didn't seem to give a shit what I had to say. I think if your going to sell a product you should honor the defects. I will not return to this store ever again, everything is over priced and they don't guarantee any product they sell. I suggest going to chai, they are way more personal and will exchange any product your not satisfied with. They just lost a customer over $30.00.
Not too happy with this place. Got some clones of what was supposed to be romulan grapefruit & I'm pretty sure they're blue dream. Definitely not RG. Damn blue dream sucks... Ok I got my new clones. Thanks guys, time to grow:)
The staff here is AMAZING! Everyone has always been very friendly and full of knowledge. They always do such a great job answering all my questions and helping me to make my selections. Thank you Luis, Will and all the staff for your great service.
Bad experiences with product quality recently. A product labeled at 29% thc had little if any THC. A total waste of money. Called KindPeoples and emailed them about this -- no reply. Had similar experience with cookies....... no effect whatsoever. Used to be a happy and frequent customer, now I am reluctant to return.
As a first timer I came in looking for something with minimal THC to help relieve muscle pain. I was given something to roll on and SPECIFICALLY asked the clerk about their return policy. He informed me that if I got home and didn't like the product I could bring it back to exchange for something else. This was the selling point for me.It was a lie. I got home, reviewed the product, realized it was not in fact what I was looking for. I read the receipt which clearly states "no refunds" however it say,"product may be exchanged for equal or credit against greater value only". I went back to the store not 15 minutes later and was told that I could not receive a refund or exchange my unopened item. So why was I told I could exchange it in the first place?? Had I been properly informed by the staff I never would have made the purchase.
Slowly but surely they have won me over . I Had been frequenting a different dispensary cause of connivence and although I was happy with customer service their selection , in my opinion, had grown limited & repetitive in worst way . I will say I , prolly along with every other Eastsider , wish they had the parking lot , like some other locations do. But their selection, and customer service has always been fire ! No complaints there . It also means a lot to me on how much I see them doing in the community for things that fit my beliefs. I foresee myself being a long term faithful customer. Thus far they have earned it .
Checked a text on my phone and was immediately confronted I guess I'll be taking my business elsewhere.Plus out of all the places I've been to in Santa Cruz the employees here definitely the least friendly. This place is definitely overpriced and the guy at the front that stands next to the metal detector treat you like your walk into the Pentagon it's just weed
A word of advice...arrive sober. The parking situation is a little tricky especially during Peak Hours. I don't want to give away when it is easiest to find a spot! I bet that you can guess.Another word of advice, pay with cash if you. You save a little money.I am not a big toker/smoker. But, I recently hopped on the micro-dosing CBD train. The butender was very friendly and helpful. I am continuously impressed by how clean, streamlined, and friendly this dispensary is. Sure beats waiting in line at CVS!
Never coming back.Never have I ever felt so weird in a collective.. it was my first time so they signed up my friend. They told me just one of us sign up now, so next time we come, he would get 10$ off for sining me up. Made perfect sense to me. We get inside, and are browsing and a worker hints at us to stay in one section... which was weird. When we wanted help, I asked a question and the worker told me he "can't speak with me or have a consultation with me because I'm not the one who signed up" I said what the lady up front TOLD us to only sign up one of us.So we were ready 5 minutes later, and a line was forming behind us. Nobody was browsing just standing in a line....I thought that was really weird. The guy helping us stopped helping us within 2 minutes of our "consultation" and started helping another patient. When we were ready, we went to the other side where there was a gal helping a man. We got behind him, she told us we can't be anywhere around... she said go stand in line (4 feet further away) for patient privacy. If you wanted to give your patients privacy, you would only have ONE back in general... no "line" you have to pointlessly stand in.. 4 feet away. She told us we had to go stand in line even though we have been there the longest.I got such a weird vibe from here.I have never been told, go stand in line at a collectiveI felt weird and uncomfortable Not welcomingPrices are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too high. Quality's not even great Staff is not there for you The staff is NOT GOOD WITH CUSTOMER SERVICETHE ONE STAR IS FOR THE GAL UP FRONT. She was very nice & welcoming.Terrible collective
This is one of my favorite dispensaries in SC. I love the long time bud tenders (Ray is my favorite) as well as the friendly security and office staff. The place is a state-of-the-art warehouse and even has a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. They have a wide assortment of glass, clones, many different types of flower, shatter, oils, edibles and a huge variety of different infused products. They usually have great specials too!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because some of the prices are not as competitive as the other clubs. There hours are good and it's def a must go if you're in SC!! If you bring in new patients, you receive a free gift w/purchase.
Love love this place it's the best dispensary I've ever been to! Veronica is one of my fave receptionist James is so good about trying to find the best fit for you when it comes to products you like and is so informative! I've never had an issue there and only have glowing things to say for the whole company. I also super appreciate that their security is even friendly (Vicente). So if you in Santa Cruz you gotta check them out!!
In search of clones and top notch meds. I usually go to San Jose or Sacramento but wanted to avoid big city traffic. I planned an entire day in Santa Cruz to see if I could check all my boxes.Santa Cruz dispensaries are some of the best I have seen and Kind Peoples is top of the list. We went by in the morning and found a great selection of medicine and some nice clones. The people are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The decor and atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. After leaving and hitting several other dispensaries we were still lacking a few clones so we doubled back thinking that in two days it was 4/20 and the stores would be stocking-up....and they did. Second trip into Kind Peoples that day was right after they received a huge delivery of clones and we were able to complete our day, get more than we bargained for, and left town happy campers.Forget San Jose....Santa Cruz and their top notch dispensaries are my new go to.
This place is a rip off. You'll wind up paying about $75 out the door for a decent eighth. They charge $50 plus tax for tarantula pre rolls, I was in Ukiah at a dispensary that had them for $18. I guess its a good place if you can afford it. Product is good just way overpriced. But then again what isnt in santa cruz?
KindPeoples is a top notch dispensary! Each time you walk in the doors you are greeted with a smile. The ladies at the check in desk are quick to get you checked in and over to the counter to get your product. Each one of the staff members at the counter can answer any question you have about any of their products. I was recently helped by RayRod. She is great! She made my experience at kindpeoples a lot of fun! All in all, the experience is great each time I go in. I highly recommend this dispensary!!! I went in the other night and was helped by "ReeK" or Enrique. I went in without any clue as to what i wanted that night and before i knew it i had multiple options placed in front of me. Any questions i had were answered. Its always nice when you can get a good laugh in too! Thanks for another great visit guys!
Kind Peoples is becoming a misnomer. It used to be that you were able to interact with very friendly and knowledgeable people at the counter. The last two times we've been in there our experience was just the opposite. The young bud tenders we had to deal with were not helpful, sullen, arrogant and seemingly couldn't wait to be done with us. I complained this time and was able to work with a very helpful and knowledgeable person. I hope the management can be more cognizant of the attitude that some of their employees are evidencing because they are losing customers, us included.
Such a chill spot! I get really bad anxiety in new places especially since I just turned 21 I was super nervous to hit a dispensary for the first time and they made my experience so easy and not rushed at all I love it here most definitely goin to go more often the name says it all!
I don't live in Santa Cruz but I visit every other weekend. And I found this place literally by driving past it. Everything I go in the experience is easy and fun. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I literally don't go to any other dispensary. I tell everyone I know about Kind Peoples. Plus I just went last night (2/21) and there was an offer for a free Pax Era base if you purchase a cartridge. Of course I did it. IT WAS FREE! And amazing! I already put in another online order for two more cartridges. Sorry ABX, I'm mostly a Pax user now.
here is from a credible customer,Around 100 trips and about 2,000 dollars later, Kindpeoples has yet to disappoint. Their selection is broad and they have strains that treat the lowest tolerance to the highest. Even with an overwhelming menu, fear not, kindpeoples has trustworthy employees who are overqualified for the job and will select the perfect treatment for you! One employee, named Will, even spotted me $2 when I was short! Plus he was insanely educated on the flower, a very good employee. Very good dispensary.
Horrible customer service over the phone!! Won't be returning or purchasing through this store again. I recommend Tree House on Soquel.
I've been coming here frequently but won't return. There is one item I like that they sell that I haven't seen other places (although I haven't really searched for it since I could get it here). Parking is atrocious. I ran over on my lunch break and there was only street parking. I ran in and grabbed my items - about $140 worth. - As I was paying security came over and 'interrupted'. He insisted I needed to immediately move my car as I was fully blocking their driveway and no one could get in or out. I was not, my front bumper was about 2 feet into the entrance to their driveway (on the side the same truck is parked in every time I come here). The driveway entrance is huge - even with my car where it was you could still easily pull something as wide as an RV into it. I apologized and said I wasn't fully blocking the driveway, there weren't any other places to park , and that i was leaving now anyways. He insisted I abandon payment and move my car and then come back to pay afterwards. Even the girl checking me out was like "Uhm, she's paying right now.... can't it wait since she's leaving " but he insisted and kept saying I was blocking the entire the driveway. The amount of time he spent discussing it with me and the girl checking me out was far longer than the time it took to pick my items and pay. But yeah, my bad I couldn't pull my car back further bc of how the person behind me was parked, but no need to power trip. This was 1:30pm on a weekday - you could have just let me know it was an issue and asked me not to do it again. No need to make a scene and no reason to exaggerate the situation. I was in and out within 5 minutes. No one was attempting to get in or out of their lot when I left so my car wasn't impeding anything. Next time I'll go to one of the many dispensaries by my house than have actual parking. Too bad bc everyone else that has helped me here has been especially kind.
My wife spent lots of money at this place and they won't even return a $20 hat that was never worn. They can't make an exception after all of the money we spent there? They lost our business. Hey management, is it worth losing a regular customer over a stupid hat? Well, you just did! We no longer shop here.
The absolute worst! I spent a decent amount of money in this place only to find out that it was NOT appreciated. I watched a female manager with short dark hair at the time, turn a disabled man away! I felt so bad. How could they call themselves kind? There are many other places I can go where my time and money are truly appreciated.
There is a reason this place--and these people--have twice been voted "Best of Santa Cruz" for being a medical cannabis dispensary. You can't pay for wisdom, sincerity, or compassion. And compassion is what many dispensaries lack. Ask those tweenaged-looking kids running the place (not KPC!) if they have a compassion program--every dispensary in California has to be "not for profit," so every single dispensary needs to have programs to share the wealth. KindPeoples take applications for their Compassion Program from people who are in financial and health straits, and will keep people in need in this program, supplying them with products for all levels of healing (for a three-month stretch). People who know cannabis well--those of us who've been healed of lifelong conditions like anxiety, panic, PTSD (twenty-some years), and even insomnia--respect this plant. THOSE are the people you will find working and helping people at KindPeoples. I am so glad I found them. I've been to other dispensaries and was just not impressed by sorry, the immaturity I have perceived (not in all of them). It takes more than a sparkling display case to make a place have heart, soul, and wisdom. And those things are abundant at this KindPeoples. If you have arthritis, they carry Emerald Nectar raw juiced cannabis ice cubes. I've been having a handful in smoothies daily, and am almost pain-free from a bad case of rheumatoid arthritis in my hip. You can't buy integrity. You can't buy experience. You can't buy respect. The people who founded KindPeoples are doing the right livelihood, best practice--from every vantage point I've enjoyed since my cancer surgery in December. I am so grateful for them, and grateful for the education that honors the cannabis plant. SO GRATEFUL. These folks are doing it right, and that is a rare thing in this world.Other products I can vouch for: Lucky 8 caramels (40 mg THC $4!), KindCaps indica 30mg tablets (12 for $30), and the fantastic Mother Humboldt's Best cannabis balm, which I carry everywhere. It works on all my muscle pains, sore places, arthritis...I've used it on our grandson's strained neck (the balm is NOT psycho-active, and you wouldn't get high if you opened your skull and rubbed it on your brain directly)...the stuff is patented, and it smells and feels terrific. I also love the Kiva chocolates (60 and 180 mg)--and as a note, I don't eat milk chocolate but the milk chocolate with chai is just the best little confection on earth. WOW!
Data Miners !! It's ok, it's like a military operation in there. I had to fill out a form and give them my phone number my email my address all this bullshit. I felt very uncomfortable. They're using it for fucking marketing purposes and corner you into doing it and telling you it's a must buy law. I don't think it is technically but they manipulate the situation. I'm sure if you looked on the form there's some sort of an agreement or information regarding this.I didn't like it. I've been to other places and I didn't have to join their club to buy something that's a joke. Kind of an insult to my intelligence. But I did anyways. I drove 45 minutes to get there. Hayward Garden of Eden was The only other legal place anywhere clos and WAY cheaper and tax is included. This place is basically 30% more. what they have posted on there site is not even accurate to what they have in stock. The bag thing is BS. $1. Give me a break. When I was at another place I asked them for an extra bag and the guy goes sure no problem and handed me one and asked if I wanted more. Who ever owns this probably got greedy Jan 1st. The Hayward place had a WAY BETTER selection and was way more relaxed and I did t have to fill shit out to buy something. I just had to show them my ID at the door.I felt cornered into it. The place is probably owned by some tech person. It seems that way anyhow.
Amazing experience. I am to stoned to write a cleaver response but if I wasn't I could go on and on about the greatness of the product and most especially the people.
I actually wanted to leave a review for kind genetics.this is one of the most amazing shops I've been in. the customer service was beyond my expectations and their knowledge was superior to any cannabis collective I've been to, being child friendly was next level service ,not having to have my wife and 10-month-old wait in the car after a 2 hour drive made everyone so happy . we got to share this experience as a family. I will make the 2 hour drive with out question . If I get her name right Christine assisted us making my wife very comfortable and explaining all of the different options , my wife is interested in CBD oil's and teas and was fully educated , their selection gave us an opportunity which we have never received no place else . Thank you kind genetics we will be back an will refer all our family and friends 10 stars
Not knowing much about cannabis I was treated like a queen. Every question I asked was answered in a polite and professional manner. Every time I go back I receive the same great service. Thanks for hiring and training the right employees for the job.
Great place with knowledgeable and friendly staff! Lines aren't too long. Very organised
These people are the friendliest and most KindPeoples I have ever met in the state of California! Brandon, JD, Eileen, Anita, and Angel are always my favorite to visit whenever I show up with their fantastic attitudes and great vibes! Easily the best place for all your green needs!
Ask for Christopher Carr!! He is very involved and knowledgeable on everything cannabis. He also has a great talk show "The Cannabis Connection" on KSCO radio on Fridays 7:00 pm. This place has a variety of strains to choose. If by chance you notice their website doesn't have a seed strain that you may have seeds for, I'm sure Christopher would love to speak to you. He's always open to community input on how KindPeoples can continue to provide excellent, first class service MMJ to all Peoples in need. Smiley'sCureSantaCruz SCSC
Voted best in santa Cruz by good times weekly readers. They're my favorite too. Kind Peoples are even open on Thanksgiving (until 2pm)
Hot diggity dawg zip boom bah. Picked up some jack h but left out to dry/cure for two days before truly enjoying its deliciousness. Legit variety dece prices. Zero complaints, other than the weight i bought was a lil moist like my buttcrack on a hot day.
I came here yesterday with my lady .We were going to the boardwalk for the 4th of July. The ladies at the front are so kind and professional. They got me and my lady signed up quick. I just want to add this the bath room is so nice. It smells so lemony and is very clean. The art work around the store is awesome. We got a really cool bud tender I can't remember his name but he was so cool and laid back. They have great prices and they have great knowledge about the medicine. I will be returning .
Fancy AF. Everything was so organized and streamlined. Great selection of EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. My budtender was attentive, knowledgeable and cool. He had a really nice beard, great job guy! I'm making this place a regular stop when in Santa Cruz!
Great store and amazing staff!! Always a great experience, lots of quality product!! Hannah was really knowledgeable and super helpful! I highly recommend Kind Peoples!!
Kind people don't charge over 70 dollars for an eighth of pot. There is nothing kind about that, in fact I would say its rather cruel. Seriously... this is getting ridiculous...
I've been coming to KindPeoples for quite a few years but tonight was my last visit. The wait was ridiculous and on top of that I brought my friend in with me to show her the shop because it's a pretty cool spot, we went through the referral process which just prolonged our wait only to check out and NOT receive our referral discount the only reason we signed her up in the first place. We didn't realize we didn't get our discount until we made it safely home and started smoking, we call KindPeoples only to be put on a long hold by the receptionist and then a rude manager answers the phone and basically tells us we are shit out of luck. I was just hoping maybe they'd honor the $20 off on my next visit, but screw that they lost a bunch of business in this town. Im spreading the word, go across the freeway to Treehouse.
I don't have lots to spend around the holidays but I thought I'd treat myself to some nice oil. It was not even close to what the display and picture looked like in the store. When brought to the managers attention I was not exchanged with proper product despite having receipt and being well within 30 days. He knew the product didn't meet quality before he even opened it all the way. Just told I can spend more money and get a discount or leave. Holiday bummer .
My wife was charged $1.00 for the child proof bag yesterday.Other MCD don't do this.
The guy at the door would not let me in because my recommendation was a little water damaged, they have no problem verifying it at Cannacruz or Berkeley Patient Group. I guess this place isn't so kind after all. I won't be coming back here and I will definitely recommend people get their flower buds else were.
Love this place, the employees are always extremely friendly, I especially like the manager James he is always a pleasure to talk to and answers all of my questions. Favorite club in town!
Was a regular who drove from San Jose. Called and asked specifically for information before driving an hour. Got there and they had no idea what I was talking about. Attitude was basically your SoL, thanks for playing.Never coming back. Manager doesn't feel it's important to talk to customers directly. Sends his thug wannabe security at the front back and forth like he's playing telephone.
I have been a customer for a few years. How disappointed it was to see that medical patients could not receive medicine in the same manner they did before January 1. Long lines, no seats for those with trouble standing, and when you finally make it to the counter products are all gone. Felt very disregarded, felt they were not prepared for making sure that all customers left with what they needed. All three products I use for tumors and 2 brain surgery pain were all sold out. Found a new go to place that actually had a seat for me. Got what I needed. We fought a good fight for medical use and now that is just at the wayside. So long patient care, hello profits.
Went in tonight to tag along with a friend to check out the club. Everyone who I encountered from entering the store was more than helpful and was extremely friendly. Our bud tender's name was Marcus, and even though I mentioned before hand I wasn't going to buy anything, he still brought out two of everything to show me as well and answered all of my questions. The prices are good for the quality of flower, which were all amazing. Come here if you enjoy buying weed and want some good company while you do it.
These folks are the best! Expert advice along with kindness. They seem truly authentic. I'm an older adult and always treated well. Going to KindPeoples Collective is like hanging out with people you wish you could hang out with.
Arrived to find a slow day at the collective . i pulled up into the small 6 car lot (empty) only to be told to go outside and park my truck into a non compact labeled spot (my truck fit into a compact spot . had to do a 6 point turn to fit into the akward last spot that was only doable because the lot was empty ... Pointless waste of my time . how do u pull shit like that on a customer ...never happens wheni go to chai . 3 times ive been here and 3 times ive had shitty service .
Ana was amazing. Super chill and knowledgeable about everything. Great person to talk to.
Great selection and everyone is always nice. I will continue to go back. However I've spent close to $3000 here in the last year and I still will get charged for a $1 reusable bag, which comes off as super cheap and greedy (build it into your overhead). The bags are littering the neighborhood and when I told bud tender he said "well pick one up and bring it next time." The kindpeople logo is on bags littering the gutters of the neighborhood and he could not have cared less. Seems like bad publicity. Also, it's totally arbitrary when I'm required to get a bag, I can buy the same thing 2 days in a row and not be required to have a bag 50% of the time. Again, I will probably not go to another dispensary if I have the choice, but this bag situation needs to change even if you get smaller ones.
I'd like to share the experience my wife and I had last night (4-20) at this dispensary. We are seniors, and when we entered we were immediately confronted by 2 large gentlemen who looked like bouncers from some dive bar. My wife wanted to make a small purchase but first had to fill out a form giving her email (for who knows what purpose). Imagine going into a liquor store and having to fill out a form before making a purchase. The 2 bouncers took issue with my mentioning that the filling out of the form was questionable. They told me I had to leave. Meanwhile, my wife waited for 30 minutes in line only to be told that they wouldn't sell to her!! Please don't support this business and their ham-handed tactics.
Metal detector to walk through. Don't joke around inside and say the F word or else you get a stern lecture from threatening security guard. No sense of humor in other words. Not a fun or pleasant experience even after I apologized for making a joke calling myself a fat f*ck. That's what freaked them out?? Yup.
I am writing this review to make existing or future clients to be aware of $3.50 additional charge on your debit transaction. This is separate for the $2.50 charged noted in my bank account since the transaction still shows as withdrawal and not debit. I was not advised about such additional fee. I called the next day, July 25 at 9AM, and the response I got is clearly not aiming for good customer service. They implied that it's my fault because she did not read the message on the PIN box when she enter her pin, and they cannot reimburse her because it's a different company charging the card transaction. I had been to other dispensaries and this is the first time I heard that customers are shouldering debit transactions. Also, the manager did acknowledge that the employee (who helped me) is at fault. But then again the "manager" said their is nothing he can do to give my money back. Please note that my I am using this for medicinal purpose and has California medical marijuana card. So any penny that I can save will help me a lot with my bills. I informed the manager as well, but still the manager insisted that he cannot do anything about it since it's not them who charged me. I insisted that they should be able to compensate in some other form like on time discount of $3.50 for future purchase. The manager put me on hold for a while. I thought that he may be discussing with someone how they can keep their sick customer happy by compensating me in some form. However, the manager came back informing me that there was additional/wrong discount. However this discount is in lieu of another freebie that was not available. Since the conversation is just going in circle, I asked the duty manager to just do something about this to avoid current customer experiencing the frustration I had been through. I even suggested to put signs about the additional charge for debit card transaction but the manager just response with rudeness by saying "there is already a note on the PIN box" which I did not even notice. Please note I still has good vision. So here I am writing this review.By the way, 1 stars was given for good customer service of the guy who assisted me while buying. Since I believe that as human we will end up forgetting something and this what I thought that happened that night, hence I suggested to have visible sign in the store that customer can read even if they are still in line (so they may opt to go to ATM to withdraw money before falling in line). But the morning manager on July 25, to whom I provide this feedback, is hearing but NOT listening to me and again told me that there is already a notification like this on the debit card PIN box. Could not give more stars since they do not have much selection of edibles for patient use, like same product as Rick Simpson oil, nor edibles that are sugar free, soy free.I hope you will find this review helpful since that is my main purpose for writing this. Kind People is not that kind at all.
Got a damaged cartridge and didn't realize until I got home and a bunch had spilled out. Went it an exchanged it with no issue. AWESOME customer service! I was concerned because I didn't have a receipt, but they could look it up through their computer system. Just based on that fact alone you will have a customer for life. Thank you KindPeoples and Michael for your outstanding customer service!
I bought some edibles $36.00 and they have no effect so I brought them back. Computer have deleted all their info so they could not look at what I had bought last week. Anyway they gave me 15% off my order, big deal, and I left the edibles there. Not good customer service, should have reimbursed my account Good customer lost
Great service from knowledgeable, friendly, and informative staff; Kyle was my budista. Also, that fish tank is fire.
I have came here about 6 times and have always had a great experience, until today. I went in to exchange what I thought was a dud Co2 cartridge I purchased. It wasn't working properly. The man that helped me flagged down a woman, I was assuming she was a manager or owner, and she come over. She questioned the brand as if I was bringing it in from somewhere else. Then she walked off with my cartridge. 5 minutes later she came back with the response of "I tried it and it worked just fine". So this means she took my cartridge that I had my mouth on and put her mouth on it? Then told me it must be my battery and recommended a few. This is the most unprofessional and unsanitary way of running a club. Customer out........
Amazing! Just went in for the first time and had such a wonderful experience! Bud Tenders helped guide me through everything and answered all my questions. Super low pressure, and non judgmental vibes Definitely ask about the bargain bin ($30 eighths for top shelf stuff) I'll be back for sure!!!
After trying to use ATM card on 3 different machines in the store unsuccessfully, I was told that my card was "bad" and that I should contact my bank. I had been using the card for years with no issues. After the visit to Kind Peoples I used it somewhere else and it worked with no problem. I went back to Kind Peoples and asked to speak with the manager. When I explained the issue, she suggested that it was my problem and that I should just bring cash. When I explained that no other retail business in Santa Cruz that I've patronized would require customers to do that, she didn't seem to care and suggested that I send an email to the general mailbox. To say this is bad customer service is an understatement.
Very professional, Very knowledgable and always happy to help. This is by far the best dispensary in the area.
I've visited this place twice now. From SF. And was looking for a good Collective. KindPeoples is on point. Great service, great product, and the guy who was working ( from SF!!) was super chill. He explained and answered all my questions. No attitude here. All love. I will totally come back.
Cynthia is awesome! I went in with my friend of 40 years to learn how two older women could get the best medicinal help from MMJ and Cynthia was right there. I've been elbowed out of the way in large SF dispensaries when trying to ask questions about the right medicinals for me. Some young folks think they invented smoking weed. But Cynthia was patient and took her time helping us get what we needed to help us function post cancer and other physical issues. Definitely going back to her.P.S. I love the Mendocino Kush. Is there more?
I just got my recommendation and Kind Peoples is close to me. I have never been to a dispensary before and didn't know what to expect. The security is heavy but once you come back it's not so bad. The sign-in staff is friendly and the employees behind the counter are fantastic. There are so many options available as to how you can take cannabis. I'm going with tinctures for now and am happy with the results. So you don't have to be a "pot head" to use this stuff. I got a couple of freebies the first two times I went. You also get a $10 off coupon on your second visit. I enjoy going in now. The vibe is great.
Best club in town. No questions asked. Best vibe as far as the store goes. Havent been to CHAI yet but I would be surprised if I liked it more. Overall the prices are great compared to others in the area and the staff seem to be truly kind peoples ;) Always a positive experience.
I have been coming to this dispensary for almost three years. They have been consistent through out. They always have fire tree, even their discount tree is great. They often have little hidden discounts if you ask your budtender. They are always having sales and even have a service that sends you coupons via text called Leaflet. Who doesn't love saving money? I am also a grower so I practically live in their genetic department. Their genetic staff is super knowledgeable and will take time to help you in any way you need. Even their security is polite. I also know they have a huge Compassion program. I never go anywhere else. If you looking for a world class dispensary you should check ether of their two locations out.
Honestly, one of the best dispensaries I have ever been to. I've been going for about 3 years now and I rarely go to other places. They have top quality flower and it always impresses everyone I smoke with. They also have a great deal for 5 joints and a half gram of hash for $25! And the more you go, the more you save. Once you reach 2,000 points ( $1 = 1pt ) you'll get 20% off you're entire order! That is one of the reasons I keep going back, besides the friendly staff and top quality products. Overall, 10/10 you must try this place!
After dealing with pain throughout my body for decades-only to have Doctors continue to prescribe pain killers that were eating away at my insides did I finally find this place. After getting my certification , I went into this store and all of the customer clerks in this place were knowledgable, friendly and helpful. My pain is gone, I sleep better and I can honestly get on with my day pain free!! Thank you!!!
Faith restored!! The people here are actually very kind. The management and staff do take great care to be sure our shopping is beneficial. Like any retail business, some times/days can be challenging and I must remember, nice humans are working hard. I will continue to frequent this place, both locations, often. Great selection & they are normally smiling, friendly, professional and helpful. Veterans like me get a great discount.
First time at a dispensary, and the process was so easy and seamless. Knowledgeable staff (our bud tender Brandon was a sweetheart!), and also a large selection. First time customers get a great deal! Highly recommended. Unfortunately I am from out of state so I won't be back anytime soon but I bought enough to take home. Cant wait to come back - California is awesome and beautiful!
Great place, huge variety , great deals on some eights , and seems that they are always fully stocked . I bought 6 clones and was satisfied with the service.
Ana was extremely helpful and friendly. This was my first time at the place, but she welcomed me and me feel a lot more comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and helped me decide which one to get. Ana made my first experience here amazing.
I love the vape Kuvana, really great addition to the selections. Also buying bud now but only top shelf with a 10 count punch card. I use the bud with a rechargeable vape Arizer Solo. I'm pretty happy with going to just one store for all my needs. They offer so much, I'm certain you will find your groove here.
Great clinic! Polite and helpful staff. Love the setup. Their kosher Kush is outstanding: very heavy smoke and very clean (white ash and smooth). Will definitely return when in town!
Such a nice place to visit with a great collection of positive energy and imagery. It's a welcome me change to see a space decorated and operating like any normal welcoming business and less like a breadline or communist cobblers'.
OMG this place is beautiful! Not what I was expecting to see at a cannabis collective. If you are in the area check it out. Very welcoming and helpful. The guy that helped me was very knowledgeable and patient. Thank you!!
This is the best dispensary in California, hands down. The atmosphere is welcoming and I feel very safe here. The staff are all super knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile for the patients. Ask for Ashley, who has helped me out many times and always finds the perfect medicine for me. I always send my friends and family to her because she has the best attitude and infinite patience with my indecisiveness. If I could give her 10 stars, I would!
Yesterday was my first time ever walking into a club. It was very nice inside super cool, the receptionists at the front were kind especially the one with the pink hair. Got over to the bud tenders and that was quite interesting. The guy helping me I felt got kind of annoyed cause I was taking a lil longer because I wasn't sure what they had or what to get like I said it was my first time ever being in a club and I told them that. I don't know I felt like they could've helped me a lil more and then the guy who was helping me had his coworker finish my checkout and he just continued to stand there and talk to his other co worker...sooo like? The girl who finished my checkout was nice. Wish I got more help in finding what I might like instead I bought things out of random because I felt like I was wasting their time and I hurried out. Good products though! The security guard was also super chill! I'll have to go in again maybe look at what they have online before I go. Maybe it was just one of those encounters. Nice place though!
If I could give zero I would. Not the most knowledgeable staff. Called ahead to make sure they had the product I was looking for since my go to dispensary was out. They stated they did, went there and purchased. Got home and they had mislabeled the packaging with the wrong ratio. Went back to exchange for the correct and the person that helped me the first time and when I returned, who turned out to be the manager Dylan said they don't even carry the ratio I was looking for. When I requested and confirmed 3:1 they assumed I meant 1:3. Then he proceeded to play off their mistake of mislabeling by stating that customers who are looking for the ratio I requested were actually seeking the inverted version i.e. asked for 3:1 and received mislabeled 1:3. Essentially saying they go ahead and invert ratios for customers as if they don't know what they're asking for. Though I give him credit Dylan owned up that they mislabeled their product, but wouldn't own up his lack of knowledge with this product stating the incorrect product would work just as good. Was going to let it slide but one of his parting remarks lacks any kind of moral standing for a company called "KindPeoples". To paraphrase 'you're lucky I'm even helping you because someone else might not have offered you an exchange.' Sums up a nice cocky prick of an attitude. Definitely not going back. KindPeoples, know your products, it's called Google.
Best place I've been in SC for meds. The location isn't prime, due to traffic, but the service and selection is top notch.
These guys are phenomenal! The people are just that, kind. Beautiful storefront, knowledgeable staff and a great selection that never disappoints.
Extremely friendly people, hence Kindpeople, and an excellent, colorful atmosphere. Youthful, knowledgeable people work there that are really helpful in finding what you need. Great social events, atmosphere, PRICES, quality, and location. My favorite dispensary in Santa Cruz county by far.
I've been here to pick up meds ever since I got my med card and it's been a great experience every time. Though the last visit I came in stood out the most for me. I was short on some cash and couldn't afford what I was buying. I was determined to leave at that point when the bud tender(Marcus) whipped out some of his own change and spotted me saying "I got you man." It's the little things like that in life that go a long way, and it's what gives Kind People's it's name. Thanks Marcus, you're a homie
Overall, I've been coming here the past year and all I've gotten are positive vibes. Budtender Nataly was very helpful in answering all my questions and quick to tell me about all events they'll have going on, what's new and what I might be interested in (: on my latest visit the manager Jessica was sweet and came to talk to me personally to help me get the medicine I needed. Personally speaking, taking time from our own busy lives and giving our attention is one of the greatest gifts we can offer, as the manager and lovely staff of KindPeoples always have. I don't drive all the way across the bay for nothing!
knowledgeable staff with a clean, comfortable environment..answered all my questions and helped me to pick the right products
I just like to say that this was one of the finest dispensaries I've ever been to everyone was very helpful friendly it was clean there was just a very pleasant experience I'll be back many many times
Really good selection. Nice building friendly staff! They have some really cool legging I should have gotten when I was in there but next time since I got a 10% off coupon for my first time being there! Did forget to mention that to them but o well. Will have to come back for some more amazing pre-rolls
Dante schooled me this evening. Thanks bro. I'll be back for sure. Great welcoming folks.
Probably my favorite place to go. The shop is super clean organized and super easy to see everything without it being cluttered. The flowers are super nice and tbh the containers are so damn nice (my favorite part). The staff are super knowable and easy to talk to without making you feel stupid. 11/10 would and do recommend going here totally worth the money and travel
Love you guys, thanks for the help. I finally can get a decent-night's rest.
Been coming to this collective since January and can honestly say it's one of the greatest. Just got helped by Marcus and his great costumer service finally got me to write about this place. 10/10 would recommend again.
First of all let me say KindPeoples Collective lived up to the name! Also let me say I have rigid, unbending way I believe a quality MMJ-collective should work from spending 3 years as a customer service representative in the industry.SO lets get to the review...I was greeted by a security guard, and was happy to see a walk through metal detector (reminds me of SCPC or Greenway)...however this security guard made me feel totally at home, wasn't pushy or over-zealous, and quickly got me through and onto the next phase of my registration.I was directed to a reception desk that had the cleanliness of a medical office, but the designs of a SOMA-loft. I provided my paperwork and was directed to an iPad to input my information (SOOOO much better than a form imo) and after about 5 minutes I was directed to head over to the medicine counter. On my way over, I noticed this place is absolutely stunning! The space design is sharp, featuring a full display of KindPeoples merch, and get this A FULL GENETICS COUNTER, not some ratty plastic shelf with stretched clones in dry rocwool!!!! I almost cried...and this is before I ever saw the medicine! But it didn't dissappoint, in fact it was a little much to take in at once, a selection of flowers that is absolutely tremendous. A display of concentrates that is the best in the county bar none, featuring Rumpwax, SB, and a list of other top-notch local favorites. I usually use about a gram a day of hash, and the full-melt and wax selections are enough to keep me busy for a while, and the prices are exactly what should be expected, if not about 10% lower than what I have found from similar establishments over the hill. They also have a great selection of budget offerings, that rival anyone in the area on quality for your dollar...for example $30 usually gets you a gooey gram of budder, but they have stable, high-quality flakes for the same...just one example of many.I left happier than I did on my first visit to SCPC when I was 18, confident that I had found a new daily spot with everything I could want and more. I spent less than I usually would on a daily visit, and left with a little cookie as a new-member gift.I will be coming back often, and I will be picking up a hoodie or a shirt and some Rumpwax on my next visit to make sure I support these guys! I would feel I'm doing the community a disservice if I don't tell everyone about it. Cuz these guys know how business should be done!!!!Truly "As Good as it Gets!"
So hope im not jumping the gun but i went to kind peoples and this chick served me the sack that lets me know that next time chick. Dude.
Love the prices, variety, the bud tenders, environment and choices of edibles! Nice place I don't have to head all the way into sc to get quality parking kinda sucks tho but I love this place
just got an o, seen the samples 1st, and the stuff I got looks nothing like the sample I've seen, the sample looked nice and dense, trimmed perfectly...what I got looked like straight hot garbage, and the bud tender lady said I can trim it myself...lol...ooook..wtf?!!
I la la looooooove this place! Yesterday was my first time & I may say I will be back! Cynthia was so amazing & the weed bar is on point! Thanks guys for the great experience(:
Good product selection but prices are too high and the security guard went out of his way to harass me when I went outside to have a smoke, cigarette. He said a few choice things, swore at me several times while I was waiting for my SO to finish business inside I ended up taking a walk to get away from the guy. Uber creepy dude.
I was super nervous because it was my first time going into a dispensary so I didn't know what to expect. I was offered a catalog of edibles from the security guard there while I was waiting to get my ID / papers checked out. Then when I went to the counter another employee helped me pick out the strains I would like. I bought a gram of Super Jack and a gram of Blue dream. Both were 10 $.. and I also got a brownie for 20$. Kindpeoples Collective is inexpensive, good in quality, and has great costumer service. Also they have a discount for students and you get a preroll or edible for your first time.
Awesome staff. They have things here you can't find other places. Parking is difficult at times however. Other than that there selection is nice.
Great collective. Excellent selection of EVERYTHING, especially CBD. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff with serious compassion. Freebies and specials every time I've gone in. I recommend this collective to everyone I know. They've got their shit together at Kind People's.
Excellent choice of flowers oils ect!!! Hands down the best around. Open till 10pm Kind People in Kind Peoples. I recommend shopping here frequently. #LoveLife
Absolutely wonderful place! I felt safe, secure, welcomed, and respected here. The security was fantastic, and the atmosphere was right on. Great selection of lighting and music. The staff was wonderful and I didn't mind the first time patient check in wait. The woman that helped me select my medicine, Cynthia, was AMAZING. She was so knowledgable, and genuinely listened to my concerns, helping me figure out exactly which strain would help my ailments. I really like how clean and organized everything was, but the real surprise was that every strain was tested for content and strength. It made the whole process much easier. Many thanks to this collective!!
I live in San Jose but I will definitely come back EVERY time I'm in Santa Cruz. The staff is SUPER nice! Like, insanely nice people. Prices and quality couldn't be beat. I grabbed 3 grams of concentrate for 107$. I planned on only getting 2 grams but it was such a good deal, I thought I would be losing money if I didn't take advantage. Even security is super nice to you! It's just a shame I can't rate more than 5 stars on here. This is hands down the longest and most honest review I've given to anything.
Right when I walked it the staff was welcoming and helpful ! This was my first club I had been to, and the experience was excellent! They were extremely helpful! Tommy helped me out I got a few clones and some wax. He was fantastic very knowledgeable, and sweet! Purely based off of customer service I would come back, but not only will that keep me coming back their selection as well. The security guard at the door was very accommodating and pleasant! This place didn't even make me feel out of place because of my pit bull service dog. He's very well trained, but because of the breed comes the stigma. Not this place, in fact it seemed like they were pleased he was a pit. They were beyond welcoming, and I make this point, because it's hard enough needing a service dog, but when people give you crap for it makes your day that much harder. I'm happy to say I will be returning again, and again !
This place is the best out of the ones lv been to locally prices are kinda high but that's what happens if u want quality
One of the nicest collectives I've ever been into. Great friendly staff ,knowledgeable, flower is a 10, great inventory great all around!!
I'm a medical patient. I need my medicine, they wouldn't let me in wearing a Farmer Armor mask. That is lined with a 2.5 filter and 4 layers of fabric, but they let in 5 people with a t shirt wrapped around their face. COULDNT GET MY MEDICINE CAUSE THEY WERE GONNA MKE ME GO INTO A BUILDING WITHOUT THE PROPER PROTECTION. THIS CLUB IS A JOKEEdit: The county has no regulation against valved masks. Unless it's a N95 with no additional filter. They have no idea what they're talking about, and I won't be surprised when they have to shut down due to positive cases inside their establishment.
This place is the only dispensary I know of that lets you purchase your goodies as if it was a grocery store. I love being able to browse around the shop and see what items I may or may not need. They do charge extra for card but then give you change in cash. Which is kind of confusing, and I don't really like to carry cash and loose change on my person. But their tree and other goodies are such good quality. I always make sure to stop by when I'm in Santa Cruz.
Norman should get bud tender of the year, so nice and informative, thanks KindPeoples and Norman!
Be very aware of what you are buying. I picked up tinctures and gummies $32& $22 but got charged $120. Sent email but no response
You can smell the freshness as you're driving by! It's like when your mom opens the oven and the delicious aroma of newly baked cookies comes wafting into your bedroom and you stop dead in your tracks and run out to the kitchen. Everyone here is friendly and professional. I was inquiring about different types of sleep aids and the gentleman who helped me was courteous and knowledgeable. He showed me a few options and also informed me of specials they are having. Definitely felt like a kid in a candy store. I left with a bagful of goodies. Cash or debit only. There is a small fee for debit cards.
I was in town for Labor Day weekend staying at the Chaminade resort. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable (Norman and Kaitlyn). Thank you and if I'm back in Santa Cruz I'll be sure to stop in again.Jerbear Livermore, CA.
I drove far to this lovely shop to pick up a specific plant to grow. From the beginning to the end my experience has been more than spectacular, starting from the night before. The night before I followed the straightforward and easy online instructions to purchase the plant. Unfortunately, I ordered it 40 minutes before closing and that wasn't going to give me enough time to get to the store so i called them to see how I can get the plant. The woman that picked up said no, they do not reserve any orders and that they canceled all at the end of the night those that weren't redeemed. However she also suggested that I cancel my order close to closing time so that the item was technically "reserved" until the next morning when their site was taking orders again, and then RE-order to secure my plantling. Pretty smart, if you ask me.The ordering worked and I was on my way to bring the plantling home. It was a decent 45 minutes for me to get there and I was greeted kindly by the person at the door and asked to create a new account. Registration was a breeze and again, the woman taking care of me was wonderful.Bee-lined to the nursery and asked for help to pick up my plantling. The man that worked with me was, at the beginning a bit standoffish, perhaps a little taken back by my enthusiasm about the adventure. After a few more minutes of me asking about the various types of plants and their lineages he warmed up and by checkout was telling me about his lovely wife and her gardening likes and dislikes. There are plenty of pictures of the store on yelp and their website so I don't have to say that it's a medium sized store, very neat and meticulously clean. Everyone respected the 6 feet distancing and there was no plastic barrier at the cash registers. Last bit: bring cash or debt card.
My favorite cannabis store in town.Specifically in this review I want to mention DREW. I cam in just before Thanksgiving to stock up my stash for the holidays. The selection is overwhelming to wade through and I am so happy that I could describe exactly what I wanted to Drew, ask about sales and follow his expert guidance. He made me feel very comfortable and confident in my choices, which I am enjoying and enjoying sharing with friends for the holidays. I have always had good experiences with Kind Peoples, very comfortable, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The experience is always head and shoulders above any other club I've been to so they have my continuing business locked down!!
Great workers. Great stock. And better prices than a lot of places but not the best I've seen.
The atmosphere is quiet & discreet. The staff I've encountered were well informed & very personable. They have everything you need & then some. Their varie(ty of product is admirable. I am a very satisfied customer.A little tidbit: 1n 1969, we marched in support of Prop 19 for the legalization of Marijuana. Over the years, there have been many attempts to legalize the use of Pot since then, all of which have failed. So, my first visit to Kind Peoples was especially meaningful....a full circle kind of thing. Pot has a tremendous impact on my ability to cope with my level of pain. Its all positive for me.. And, I'm sure the Sunshine State benefits greatly from the sales of what was once referred to as Reefer Madness. There are different reasons why people use Marijuana. There is no judgment here & lots of respect...and, that experience alone is very refreshing. By the way, if you haven't seen the old film 'Reefer Madness', you should. It's a gas!
Kind People’s always helpful and steer me in right direction for products I like! Althea was great— like to see the ladies represented!???
I love going here and All the staff here is amazing! Dylan is very knowledgeable and is always super friendly. I won’t go anywhere else!
Great selection, and my fave shop when I come over the hill for a beach day. Chill, quick service and knowledgeable staff. Brian even put up with a million questions from my out of state friend. Will be back next visit.
I love their selection! I bought some cannabis infused chocolates, caramels, and cookies. Julian, the sales associate who assisted me, was knowledgeable and professional and they made my experience unforgettable.
I wish I could live in this building. What an amazing shop. Definitely a must when you're in the SC area. Local ICON!! Chris B was awesome!!
