I had an online order. I got in the back and I was on the phone with my 9 year old... The lady that was taking care of me was awesome, but her go worker Kayla with the curly hair says to me.. it's store policy you can't be on the phone I stated to her I understand, I'm just trying too make sure my baby gets on the house and she says I quote I Don't care who you talking too... Really????
I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews on here since I had a great experience today. It was my first time going to any dispensary in PA. Check in process was easy and quick. I waited for less than 2 minutes in the waiting room. The employee I was paired up with was extremely helpful. The items I chose were pulled from the stock room quickly and payment was easy. I was in and out within about 35 minutes and I thought that was great for my 1st time.A few things:- you can pay by cash or debit, no credit cards- open on Sunday and I don't think a lot of other places are - Parking and traffic on a Sunday was horrendous! I did a could laps around the block and then ended up paying $10 to park my car. It sucked because I would have rather spent that on products from the dispensary. I suggest going at a time that is less busy or maybe even taking an Uber I'll definitely be back!
CY+ was the dispensary I went to regularly - back when it was only them and Solevo. I now go to Maitri. CY+ is more expensive than the other dispensaries for the product I usually get. Also, since CY+ is in the strip there isn't free parking in the area unless you're willing to walk a couple blocks or come to battle the traffic for free parking on a Sunday. I usually take the bus and Maitri has more lines connecting different areas to it as well. CY+ also doesn't have as wide of a selection as Maitri. I looked at the menu recently as I was heading down to the strip and there was even less variety in product than when I went to CY+ more regularly. The space is well decorated, secure, and clean. This was a decent dispensary to go to when I didn't have other options, but they are not the best in my opinion due mainly to variety and price.
I have an awful experience every time I come to this dispensary. The staff is terrible. They are always to busy to be bothered. Ive been yelled at by staff and my attire commented on just trying to pick up my medicine. This place is the worst and I have a terrible experience every time. If you are smart you will go to Solveo.
Terrible. Got a text to pick up - guard let first two people in front of me in. Closed the door pointed to his watch as we watched it hit 6:00pm and then he locked it and wouldn't let me in. Probably trying to make up for being controlled all his life or something weird mental going on there. Would never recommend. People come here for their medicine. Literally. Shame on you.
They do not contact you after I place my orders online and that my last three orders were rejected? I think it's rude that they aren't contacting patients when their orders are ready and why their orders are being rejected it leaves a lot to be desired compared to California or Michigan dispenceries and PA prices are also higher. I also brought a Cresco vape pen from the Pittsburgh location and it stopped working after one use and they wouldn't exchange it so it was a complete waste of money, I was going to file a BBB complaint, but it wasn't worth it.
As a proud new medical marijuana cardholder in Pennsylvania, I decided to try the closest dispensary to me first. Came on a Sunday early afternoon. Short wait to get inside. The owners clearly did a lot of work on the inside of this building to make it super clean and appealing. Unfortunately, during Covid-19, you can only place an online order for pickup meaning that you cannot see or smell your weed before you buy it. As a veteran of the California marijuana marketplace, that was a bit shocking to me but I understand the extra precautions being taken during this pandemic. I got the "Chem Pie OG" strain. The smell was absolutely phenomenal! Stunk to high heaven. Thc 25%. Very green. The flower was well trimmed and had a good structure to it, although the nugs were small this should be advertised closer to a popcorn nug.
I have been using CY Dispensary on the Strip since it opened in 2018. It's recently undergone a transformation and is now SUNNYSIDE. As the physical changes in the shop were made slowly, and were welcoming, the changes in staff attitude was noticeably cooler. Where customer satisfaction was once a goal, it is not a priority anymore. I always left feedback about my visit in the comment machine before leaving the facility...but it is now gone. I would have left this review there, where it belongs. I waited in line #2 for service as noted on my check-in receipt. The woman in line #2 ahead of me was called to the counter. She was yelled at by the counter person, he rolled his eyes at her, treated her as if she was a big bother to him....and she was spending over $400. She left with a dissatisfied frown, shaking her head. This guy had a huge chip on his shoulder and I was next. Things didn't go well. He acted like an asshole, in my opinion but what do I know, I'm half deaf. On my way out of the building I reported my experience to some fella wearing a lanyard and a mask. Due to the mask I couldn't make out what he was saying, but he kept nodding and his eyes looked like he was smiling. Nodding And Clueless! So, in closing, it looks like line #2 Guy, the asshole of the hour, doesn't care to wait on middle age women. He's rude, crass, and has zero social skills. I know I won't be back, and I hope the woman in front of me feels the same.
CY+ is by far the best dispensary that I've been to, out of all in the city! They have online ordering and are open on Sundays, which is great! They are efficient and staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. Also, I've found the product selection is consistently great!
Not the best service at all. Placed online order was told they cancelled it after waiting in line outside for an hour, they wouldn't take my order there. I went to the healing center , they had a line as well as expected, however they took my order in store. CY was never my favorite but was convenient as far as location. After today I will not return.
Staff was extremely rude at the door and not at all helpful. They did not even try to listen to what was going on with my card which was a mistake by the state which I had correspondence related to. Luckily every other dispensary in the area is more friendly and helpful and I am able to still get what I need. Choose anywhere else if friendly and helpful personnel is important to you. Here they treat you like a degenerate trying to scam the system. It's a sensitive enough process without some grumpy woman judging you at the door. After explaining in detail my correspondence with the state (regarding a system delay in updating to my married name which has been a non-issue everywhere else) she repeated verbatim the same thing she said when she initially described her issue with my card as if I was somehow unable to understand her the first time. She gave absolutely no regard to what I had said. I wish I could give 0 stars.I would definitely avoid if it is your first time or if you expect a person-first mentality in medical establishments like this one fails to be. They act as if they are selling recreational drugs to select consumers rather than medication to sick patients. Any place other than this will meet your needs for a high standard of care better. They understand the need for a person at the door is to be humanly helpful rather than an extension of a computer screening system. The woman at the door is a gross affront to the industry. They might as well just have a self check in if they are so unwilling to be helpful. It is such a shame that this is the type of representation CY has because I have really enjoyed their products and seemingly thoughtful representation for the wide range of patient needs. Obviously they are not actually the type of company that I thought. Maybe sensitivity training could help here. I know I will not be returning until there is evidence of dramatic change.
I went into CY+ to pick up some dry leaf and have to have a gram of wax replaced. You see when I opened the container there was nothing in it. Now I have shopped with cy+ for two years now. I have spent thousands of dollars on their product (which CY+ owned by cresco charges significantly more than other dispensaries for medicine they are also producing). I have never had an issue with any product not being there. But unlike a normal pharmacy you can't check to make sure you product is there until you get home. So over the phone I was told to come down and bring the container it came in and they would replace it. When I got there I was approached not my one manager but two managers and told that my story didn't line up and that they were gonna have to take it up with the grower. At this point I started having a panic attack because I can't afford to throw 70 dollars down the drain. Instead of trying to make me feel better a third worker, a girl, chimed in and told me I was wrong about how a normal pharmacy would handle the situation. All in all, CY+ has been good to me in the past and I have left reviews accordingly at the store. However this experience was traumatizing and I am very disappointed that a medical facility wouldn't be more understanding of an anxiety condition.
Unfortunately, I have to back up some recurring user concerns. The positives: clean premisesThe negatives: - highest prices in area (easy to check for yourself) even with vet discount. Why gouge people - especially when you are associated with a lab? Your competitors, by and large, are not - even though everyone faces similar market conditions.- poor selection of dry leaf products compared to everyone else- frequently sell out of dry leaf - have made trip more than once to leave with a product that wasn't at the top of my list (yes, I can order online, but don't think CY does a great job of updating the menu when "live" menu shows product is in stock but employee says it's "sold out")- parking is a major hassle- employees seem to be "really" young compared to their competitors and may not have adequate life "experience" (I'm trying to be understanding here) to properly de-escalate customer's concerns. - in the year that I have been a customer, the situation seems NOT to be improving and I will only now come here if I'm out of other MMJ options.Sorry, but you need to do better if you want my business.
Treat people like human beings. Not like human crap. Recently I tried the CY in New Kensington, PA. When I got in I asked the receptionist to update my name because I had my name changed a month ago. She gave me so much rude attitude saying she can't update my name, argued with me, left her desk without saying where she was going and then refused to serve me. This situation started to agitate 3 gentlemen waiting behind me. One man told me I was holding him up. Another told me to get the F out and started arguing with me about the situation. The security guard just stood there doing and saying nothing to the men ganging up on me. When it was the receptionist who couldn't handle the situation professionally. Which made it escalate into the people waiting then made me feel like I should not be there.I am not from this country and I do have an accent when I speak. I asked them if they were treating me like this because of my accent? Because I could feel the heat of racism in the tiny room I was in. No one should be treated like this by the employee or the people behind waiting. They started harassing me for no reason other than I am mixed and they were caucasian. I was embarrassed, humiliated and frustrated that this happened to me at a place to get medicine.CY needs to do a better job of hiring people to work in their store! Unprofessionalism Through and Through!I refuse to be treated this way especially when all I was trying to do was get my medicine. Absolute bullshit. I will never be going to another CY and I will be spreading with word to avoid CY because they can't treat you like a human being. Its clearly evident the difference between corporate store and privately owned. Treat people better CY!
This is my go to dispensary, they have an ATM inside, Great staff and products! Quick and easy also!
This is my go-to dispensary! The staff is friendly and service is quick, especially if you order online. It's always very clean and bright inside. The location is very convenient, right off several bus lines, and they provide free parking during the week! They also always have a great selection of Cresco brand concentrates, which have quickly become my favorite!
Awful in every imaginable way. This place is generally rude and caters to stoner patients rather than medical patients. It is run inefficiently and without any concerns for peoples' time. Their prices are consistently higher than every other store and their menus are never updated. This is a disaster in every imaginable way. Avoid if you can -- hit up Maitri or KIC for a real dispensary that cares about humans.
helpful people. i got a lot of help how to get ID annual recertification. they stayed late cause i couldnt get the computer working. everyone was super helpful to me.they really went the extra mile and a half for me.
They remind me of the Seinfeld episode where the car rental place takes your reservation, but can't hold the reservation. The most important part. Why do they accept online orders then email me an hour later canceling my order for inventory issues?
My favorite dispensary in the city! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. There's also FREE parking Tuesday-Friday at 22nd and smallman street, near sunfresh foods. Just show them your medical card and you should be all good! The online ordering service is a game changer! No more waiting in lines! First time patients, don't forget to grab a swag pack card for your FREE t-shirt and terrible towel swag pack.
Everyone at the dispensary was super kind and helpful! But there's not a lot of parking and it's a little pricier than what I'm used to.
The menu selection is extensive, so they have a lot to offer- and it changes regularly. Something there for everyone- I also love them at they're doing in store consultations for when I have a question. Best dispensary around !
The red head girl working at around 3 on the register was extremely rude. I hate when employees are having a bad day and they have to take it out on the customers. Will not even go near her again until she gets disciplined. The managers really need to rehire staff.
I don't purchase there any more, the customer service is terrible, they lack the etiquette you'd find being practiced at other dispensaries, or medical facilities. They treat the customers with no respect and are terribly rude. I've purchased from them 3 times and each time I felt violated and disrespected. I'm not saying the entire staff is obnoxious, but the few who are, spoil it for the rest, and a few is too many. I don't recommend patronizing Sunnyside, I'd rather see some professionalism , courtesy and polite attitudes coming from the employees, however I've lost confidence that things will change for the good when the fish rots first from the head down. If the employees are rotten, then so is management. They will never ever get a single dime from again. There are alternatives! The Healing Center in Monroeville blows Sunnyside out the box, great service, good product and well intentioned employees. Amy and Abby are phenomenal.
I really like the Sunnyside Dispensary. I don't like when I'll have something in my cart and all the sudden it's gone a minute later, but it's clean and set up really nice and they still get to you fast even with the epidemic. I wish there was more deals though. It's still very expensive, but most things help.
First time coming here. I was greeted by a very nice young lady she had the curly hair and light skin. She was very friendly and nice. I didn't get her name but she did my intake. Once I was let in,, Jason helped me, and he was kind, helpful and genuinely concerned about my care. I will definitely come back here. If parking was better that would be awesome, but it just gives me a reason to come to the strip district. All around 5 stars.
I've been going to this dispensary since 2019 and they can NOT figure out how to expedite orders. Never enough "budtenders" for the number of people in line. Always always always a wait while the "expediter" stands and waits for the MMJ to be sent out by the pharmacists. The set up is poor, at best. No other dispensary in Pittsburgh has such an absurd wait time and the staff truly doesn't seem to care how long customers wait. Their chit chat and witty banter seems FAR more important. I will go far out of my way to not return.
thank god for kayla i had to pay the state and she did it for me in 30 secs she makes my day. just somebody that comes across as very pleasent she has never raised her voice at me and treats me with respect for treating me like a patient. no cap.
Wait times have improved a lot. Staff is friendly & helpful. A couple of those security guys at the door could use a lesson in manners. The white guy with the beard & glasses is always really nice tho.
Edit :February 23 2021: this place has gotten better. The wait time is shorter and there have been a little bit more of a selection of flower. Still no parking due to the location. This place is horrible. There is hardly any available parking. You have to drive around in circles just to find a spot. Then you have to wait and wait, then wait a little longer. All of this depends on if they even have products. Seriously, half the time they don't even have flowers. Doesn't make sense. Horrible company.
Great customer service when checking out, checking in, not so much at all. Very cold. Some never say a word. Cashiers are great! Always talk to you about products. Very welcoming but I would change your whole front end department. Also great quality products, and also a great selection!
Nice place! Great staff and fun location in the Strip District. Parking was a little difficult and the security guard seemed a little too serious. Didn't purchase anything yet but will check it out again in the future.
I only go to this dispensary when I have an emergency and need something on a Sunday. They're open on Sunday, unlike other dispensaries. You can use their online order form any time of day. It's quick service- you're in and out. What sucks- No parking. You can use Sun Foods lot 2 blocks away Mon-Fri 8-4. If you have to go on Saturday or Sunday, take the bus or walk (if you can) because there is NO parking. No lot. They are hands down the most expensive dispensary in the city, however they do have a great dry bud selection and often have decent sales. They offer 10% discount if you show your military ID or if you are on welfare and have an Access or EBT card. The people that work there are not nice. They seem absolutely miserable to be doing their job. Bad vibes here. They are behind glass when you first walk in. They are not friendly at all. I don't like going there most for this reason. I always get a vibe like the workers hate being there. It's open on Sunday.

Sunnyside* is a new kind of medical and recreational cannabis shop offering adults 21+ a friendly place to explore high-quality marijuana products to improve everyday wellness.
