I was looking for a dispensary on my home from work and saw that this place was the most convenient for me. I placed an order online and in less than 30mins it was ready for pickup. When I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff. Pickup was easy and my goodies were actually on sale cause of the happy hour! Thank you so much! You'll definitely see me again (:

This place is great. Service is quick, but never rushed. Staff are all very friendly and patient, store is clean, bright and inviting. Great selection of products (which always feels likes it's growing), with staff knowledgeable enough to help guide you through the choices. Highly recommended (no pun intended)

I have been to Velvet twice and always have the nicest budtenders, security staff and intake hostess. This last time I had Dalyai as my bud tender and she was super patient as I asked her 100 different questions regarding the products i was interested in buying. The atmosphere is so friendly and it's  such a great experience all around. I truly feel like the entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable whether you're an everyday cannabis user or someone looking to start using cannabis on a more consistent basis. I love Velvet and do my best to pay them a visit anytime I'm in Martinez. Thank you, Velvet!!!!

Have gone everywhere local, I Will hit places out of town  to see what they have .Found this place shortly after they opened and it is My#1 go to favorite place!Love the Online order and in store pickup. I was contacted by an associate of the store and offered an exchange for the product.  I decided to accept the offer and returned to the store. The staff was super friendly, hospitable and empathetic of the situation. I received a recommendation to try other Sativa and Indica capsules and they turned out to be great - exactly as I would of expected!

Best dispensary you can visit in the East Bay! You have to make sure you stop by and check this place out! Not only do they carry a great selection of merchandise, the customer service is exceptional! I have to give a shout out to Nick! Nick is literally a perfect example of great customer service. First off if you don't allow anyone under 21 IT SHOULD BE CLEARLY STATED ON YOUR WEBSITE! And second of all what the fuck did I pay a med card for if you can't even get in how am I even suppose to know at all that you have to be 21?!! I go to so many dispensary's I'm glad I wasn't even allowed in because of their horrible customer services. The security should've let me into the dispensary i had already placed my order and there was a huge line he was also just on his phone why are you just sitting there on your phone pay attention to your job there's so many customers waiting. I told him I had a med card after he scanned my ID several times.. I am very disappointed that I placed an order and didn't even get it.

I've been to many dispensaries but this one is top tier. My first visit and I placed an online order - went to pick up and was assisted right away! My cashier was soooo nice and super helpful. She's a sweetheart and told me about their specials that weekend and also mentioned they do a happy hour?! I'll forsure be back.

First timer over here. Great place! Friendly staff. Very helpful in finding the right products for me. The security guards (Austin and James) are super nice and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend, and the products are high quality.

Had an awesome experience here the other day! Friendly, fast, informative service from Iliana (hopefully that's how you spell it)! Purchased some tasty lemon diesel live resin and really enjoy the flavor! Totally impressed with the laugunitas sparkling water as well! I would definitely recommend and return! We mainly came here because they carry my dog's favorite vet cbd oil that works wonders for her and we're happily surprised with everything else they had to offer! Best dispensary experience in a long time! Thank you!

Ohhh Daniella Daniella, how you made my life so much easier. I came in, told her what I needed ,basically a tranquilizer for my ape brother -he just had surgery and has insomnia so terrible even 6 sleeping pills prescribed wasn't able to knock him out. So worried about him I went straight to Velvet. She educated me on the products available ranging from gummies, tablets, softgels, and tinctures. She was quick and thorough and super sweet. Bought it all except for the gummies. I'm about to give birth any time now so going anywhere that provides super quick and efficient service is greatly appreciated on my end. I wanted to tip her bc she was so wonderful but they don't take tips. They should though. So the least I can do is this review. 5 out 5. Great service In and out Knowledgeable

Coo spot it's at in Martinez/ Pacheco. Nice little dispensary . Person at the door was cool and friendly my budtender not so much. Passive aggressive when inquiring about how much I owe, budtender didn't really explain anything Or was much assistance in helping me choose or explain any deals etc I told guy it was my first time visiting .Guy was too robotic. Maybe next time will be better.

Iliana, the bud tender was VERY knowledgeable and helpful. Clean, spacious environment perfect for social distancing. Prices are reasonable and the selection is very diverse. Very visually appealing and friendly environment.

My favorite club on the planet! I love this clean, Covid continuous, well staffed establishment! I always enjoy coming here and am welcomed back with open arms each time. I feel safe and comfortable (which hasn't always been the case when visiting clubs). This place is top notch, with the most knowledgeable and friendly staff who is always happy to assist with my selections. I highly recommend this classy joint!!!

This is my second time going to this dispensary, I originally came to get the Breez tablets because I'm currently recovering from jaw surgery and am unable to smoke. I was pleased to find a good selection and great employees. Cindy was awesome this time and I hope to see her again! She is really knowledgeable on the products and even showed us products that weren't on the website at the moment! I'm from San Ramon and this place is definitely worth the trip!

I was helped by a young lady named Marissa and she was fantastic. Two things this club could work on though 1. Give discounts to people that have a medical card, regardless if it is the actual State one. I am a medical patient and it's infuriating to abide by Prop 64. The Berkeley clubs offer medical discounts but I reside in Contra Costa County, and since this is the only dispensary in Co Co it would be great to still honor Prop 215. 2. Let your employees accept tips. Times are tough, and it doesn't hurt to have them accept tax-free cash tips when people are already spending a lot at the club. As soon as those two statements are worked on this place for sure gets 5 stars.

Velvet is the spot to go and Janae was incredibly helpful. I told her my likes and dislikes and she procured an awesome assortment of products for me to choose from. Every time I've been here it's been pleasant and quick, and the atmosphere is always welcoming from the security staff to the people at the register. This place is awesome! Seriously the prices include taxes and they don't take tips. They are knowledgeable and professional. My first time at this dispensary Conor made it very easy and told me all about Velvet and their specials. I am only going here from now on.

I recently placed an online order for pick up. I arrived and parking lot was packed for all the "Velvet" spaces. I parked in a parking space for the training center and walked up to the front door. The "security officer" advised me that the space I parked in is reserved and needed to move my car. It is Sunday and none of the training center spaces were occupied. I thought some common sense would apply but after having a very brief discussion I realized I was talking to a moron. Needless to say, I did not pick up my order and left. It's too bad because the employees inside are very courteous and I love to support local business. But good thing that more dispensaries are available and will love to take my business some where else.

Found my new go to dispensary! From the happy greeters at the door to the knowledgeable sales associates. The place is clean, organized, great selection of products and most of all no one had a attitude. They were actually friendly!!I'll be back for sure! Great job Velvet!

i'm giving 4 stars because i love velvet so much i always buy their products but the little big bitch with the bangs was rude af. she made the whole experience awful like if you don't wanna work there then quit?? that's the vibe i was getting and usually it's chill in there but she was giving an attitude that i didnt deserve. i walked in there happy af ready to buy hella things and left irritated and empty handed.despite this bad day thank god for the manager. she sorted it all out. i live velvet still even though i was treated this way. elizabeth the manager is a G. solid.

Been waiting for an actual dispensary to walk into and now it's the first in the Martinez/Concord/Pleasant Hill A! I won't be calling the local delivery service anymore!Update: 7/3/20 Went there a second time and wasn't surprised at the foot traffic as 4th of July is the next day. Anyways, social distancing was in full effect and their staff were wearing their protective equipment. My budtender, Marissa was a joy to talk to and was very professional! Kudos for repping the Niners mask!!  Because of Marissa,staff and large selection of product I will not be going anywhere but Velvet!!!!

Ask for Lici, she's the resident expert, won't steer ya wrong, and she knows what to give you to make you feel the way you want to feel.

Velvet has such a huge selection it's impossible to walk out empty handed, especially with their wide range of prices. Everyone is super nice and always in a good mood and they never seem annoyed when you ask questions. They also carry more THC beverages than any other dispensary I've been to.

This shop is nestled in Martínez and has become my go to shop. Plenty of parking, the security staff are friendly and I had a budtender named Nick who promptly helped me with my order. If you're in the area or if you want to leave you run of the mill shop then check this spot out.

I've been waiting for a East Bay dispensary for so long.  I use cannabis products for my chemo treatment and the side-effects.  Velvet is the next level in dispensaries!  Beautiful retail space and designed for a great customer experience.  Staff is very knowledgeable, which is critical for me and they have that "Nordstrom" brand of customer service.Product selection is from the best quality vendors and a wide variety to suit everything's needs. Prices are very competitive and they have order online and pickup counter!Also, their Covid guidelines when inside the store are great, everyone following protocols.Make sure you visit and see for yourself!

I come because of convenience. They're not the best club... they have nice selections but their website and their inventory say something different. If it's labeled as an indica it's probably a hybrid. They'll give you some "excusey" reason as to why they do that. I do know last time I was there they said that raw garden doesn't label anything just indica. Well as you see below I bought a straight indica cart from a different club. Doesn't have a lot of brown people there as well seems strange. The staffs ok. I recommend taking the drive to Antioch or using a delivery service.

First time coming here last night to pick up items to help with sleep. Everybody was super friendly and knowledgeable about what their products provide. Took an edible and puffed on the vale pen that was recommended before bed and had the best sleep in a while. Thank you all  for your assistance!

A third 5 star experience at Velvet!  Jason was an awesome budtender and even though they were unusually busy for a Sunday morning, I flew through.  The two security  folks at the door were awesome in ensuring that the indoor line remained COVID-safe due to the influx of customers. The high potency indica pod Jason helped me select has been crucial in recalibrating my typically no issues sleep, which has gotten totally wonky due to a current family crisis.  Thank you Jason, security team, and Velvet for another wonderful experience!

Usually they have been great. But I feel like I was just the victim of "BAIT and SWITCH" from Velvet. I went in to use my 25% discount, and to buy 2 Heavy Hitters carts. Online it said I would get free HH gummies with the purchase. At the counter I was told "sorry, no gummies if you use your discount you earned here" Nice. I think the manager's getting some free gummies tonight. Very Bogus!!!!!

Amazing place. Lots of parking, super friendly door woman. Usually the people who check you into these places are so grumpy and really deter people from coming back. Not this place! The welcome crew was soo friendly! I walk in and the first thing I notice is how clean and open the place is. Just because you're buying cannabis doesn't mean that you have to buy it from somewhere really nice. Honestly it's like the Nordstrom of Cannabis. What is Nordstrom also known for? The service! Velvet did not come short with regard to service. MADELINE was AMMMMAAAAZZZING! She gave me great advice, answered all my questions, and made me feel really good about my selections. I drove all the way from Vacaville for this place and I will definitely be back!

Been to this spot a few times now and will keep coming back. So many of the other shops in the area either have a bad selection or are bad customer service. This place has a very clean and organized store with great employees. Lici and hazel were especially helpful!

Never been to this location b4- So I went here to pick up stuff for my BF, and upon arrival I was quite impressed with how pretty the holiday interior decoration of trees were displayed.  So I was already happy by the aesthetically pleasing visual displays- As I walked up the door the security people were super nice and the guy inside was super helpful and made my transaction seamless!!!  Everyone in the store was super personable and helpful.

Cindy was very helpful each time I went there, gave me great advise and customer service.. Cindy knew the products and took to the time to ask me question about what I am looking for.. And I look forward to my next visit..

A dispensary's vibe and look is a direct reflection of the owner. Is there a variety of products and strains for the wide range of customers that will visit?  Are the employees happy and being treated well or are there always new faces when you come in? Are the products displayed with purpose or is it a hot mess of crap thrown at your face to try and sell anything instead of what you need? Do you get what you need when you order online or are you having to always pick other products because what you thought you were buying wasn't available?  How do you feel when you walk in? Dispensary owners carry a huge responsibility in this industry to not only their employees but to their community. They can be directly responsible for changing the negative stigma surrounding this wonderful medicinal plant based off of visits to their dispensary. Out of all the dispensaries I've visited between Coachella and Sacramento, this place does not disappoint! It's a welcoming environment. They have great options for a wide variety of medicinal and recreational use. They have a wonderful rewards program. And lastly, and most importantly, I've seen the same faces since they opened. For me, I will drive to support this type of dispensary. I'm not willing to support a dispensary with shitty owners that treat their employees bad. If they don't care about their employees, guess what? They don't care about you either or your needs. Don't take my word for it though, come visit this place. It's like my second home

My online order was missing an item. We immediately called as soon as we were home and realized there was a missing item. No answer. They do not appear to have anyone answering their phones. I realized I needed to return to the store. From Benicia. Which requires a round trip time of 40 minutes, a bridge toll, and time spent in line. Which we had already done once. I assumed they would make the order right and offer a free item or coupon off. Something. Anything to recognize their mistake has an actual effect on their customers. I am disabled so I only make the trek once a month. They offered nothing. That's unacceptable. I was a good customer who made large purchases. I'm really disappointed because prior to this encounter my experiences were positive. They need to do more to show they value their customers.

Top shelf top price. Very clean corporate chain like environment. GREAT selection of very fine buds. It's expensive though( the reason for the lost star ,sorry rules are rules). They hire a lot of people though, so for right now it's the right thing . This country needs jobs so if you wanna pay a lil more for a consistent prime selection and lots of happy employed faces, it's a great place to support. All the employees seemed extremely happy as well. Conveniently located off the freeway is another plus if you're passing through . And don't forget to clean your bong;)

Very busy evening but Rose P took great care and patience in helping us with our order. Parking is terrible in the small parking lot when it's busy and enforcement is not uniform when it comes to people parking in non velvet spots. It took one visit to Velvet for this fabulous dispensary to become my go-to for all my cannabis needs! That it is so conveniently located to where I live and has easy parking is only part of it.The store feels so Covid safe with high ceilings for good ventilation, great distancing, mask wearing, and surfaces being wiped down. All the staff and bud tenders are so helpful and friendly. They're willing to talk with you about what you're looking for and even went so far as to refund my ATM fee when I used the lower limit ATM by accident and ended up needing two withdrawals.  I was also told by one of the bud tenders that the staff are treated really well, which is so nice to hear in these times when going to work can be so stressful.And Velvet has a GREAT selection! All the Wyld gummy options, dosist pens, a bunch of fun drinkables, and some of the best flower I've had. It's priced competitively too.I haven't used their rewards program yet, but I am racking up the points and look forward to trying it.Thank you, Velvet!

Everything seems to be on their website too if you want to check out what they have before coming in. All of our questions were answered and I trust her recommendations. Good variety of products. Plenty of parking and the best part is their hours. The other dispensary I go to the hours honestly suck. I live in Walnut Creek so this is an easy drive. And they have a great rewards system it sounds like.

This is a good dispensary. My favorite bud tender is Shiva. She is a lovely person and was so helpful and sweet.  They have good quality products and pretty much similar costs as other places. Very grateful they are so local.

I have been to Velvet a few times now.  I like their selections and found their tenders to be helpful...BUT...The fact that their prices don't include tax on the website is kind of BS.  I went in for a big purchase and thought I had enough money to cover it and some extras, only to find out there was close to another $100 in taxes, and I was short on funds.  I had to drop some product.  They do have a senior discount window in the middle of the day on Tuesdays and happy hour in the late afternoon on Thursdays which gives a 15% discount, but they are short windows of time and not always convenient.  I wish they would PLEASE include tax in their prices.  They are already on the high end, but it's an unpleasant surprise to get hit with that much extra money when they don't take credit cards.  Also, they do have a cash machine that you can withdraw money from with a fee, but those jenky looking things don't inspire trust in me.I also wish they would start a loyalty program.  While I like their brands a lot, my old delivery service had an awesome loyalty program and were always throwing in little extras.  I was so happy to have an actual place to go to shop, but as time (and money) goes on, I may have to revisit my delivery service again.

This is a nice store. Good prices on products I like, Kiva and Care By Design. Clean, professional, and easy to access. The customer service was exceptional.

It was alright. You pay taxes, didn't know that. I don't pay taxes at CocoFarms or Apothek in Isleton. Not a whole lot selection of Ounces or tree that is higher than 20% THC. Higher prices for low THC level. Ima stoner thru and thru. If I lived out in Martinez of course id save and go there but I was passing thru and it'll probably be my last trip in ‍ Better quality, more selection and NO taxes, isn't this place - it's coco hands down.And the DEAL for the King Cart + Battery is a joke. You pay more than the original prices after taxes. 20% off my ass. +UPDATE. The battery they sold me won't charge with ANY charger I got & won't work. Never did. So avoid this place if you're a true stoner... cuz you know high quality tree vs how nice it LOOKS.

We were pleased to find a dispensary opening up close to home. We usually shop when visiting friends outside of Sacramento, due to the crazy taxes in some Bay Area cities. FYI, the cannabis tax here is 15%.  Velvet Cannabis is a clean an modern shop. Security screens you before you go in and they are on top of the COVID protections (wear your mask). They have a good variety of products and a knowledgeable staff.  I've been 3 times since they day they opened and have been pleased with my experiences. They have weekend specials, senior discount times (a couple of hours, one day a week), happy hour and veteran discounts. Clubs normally give me anxiety for some reason but I love coming to velvet and it's 3 minutes from my house. They carry the cannabis brand Farmer and the Felon which I love being able to support. I love when Fredo is working behind the counter, he's super helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. Always working with a smile and great attitude. Highly recommend this club.

Velvet Cannabis is the best!! There selection is awesome. I went in for some relaxing edibles. I was recommended some CBD gummies. Heidi, my bud tender was awesome!! She really had great recommendations and knew her products, thanks Heidi!! I'll be back!!

I have a had sleeping problems and had tried just about everything out there. A co worker recommended Velvet, I went in and  had the pleasure of meeting Shiva. Shiva recommended the sleeping gummies, I have been taking them for 3 months and they have done wonders for me. I am extremely happy not just with the product I am using but most importantly with the excellent service Shiva has provided since day one. I would strongly recommend Velvet Cannabis and their products.

As a first timer, this dispensary was great! Hazel the bud tender was super kind and knowledgeable on all the products. Went in to look for a CBD oil for my mom to help with her joint pain and honestly she loved what she helped picked out for her. Great first time experience.!

This place is on the expensive side. The day they have a loyalty program but I never get any sale notifications. They say  I have credits but there is no way to see them or get anything. I only get an email directly after I purchase so the "Benefit" is only good if you go right back in. They claim they are "Fixing " it for months now. Zero freebies. Then I read "Spend $100 and get a free pre roll". Nada nothing offered when I am actually there!!!

Finally!!! Tears came to my eyes as I handed my drivers license to the super friendly door attendant. Inside it was everything I was hoping for. Clean, airy, modern set up well managed and well sorted dispensary. 10 minutes from my home. Well done. You have won a lifetime customer today. Thank you.

I just visited Velvet for the first time and I am impressed. The selection was great, the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff was friendly and very helpful (shout out to Jason for putting up with me haha, he was professional and fun plus gave great joint recommendations) I highly recommend this place to everyone...I will be back!

Heard this place opened up around the corner from me stopped in very welcoming clean environment all products on menu that i selected are actually in stock. Decent prices knowledgeable staff. Glad to have them so close so i dont always have to travel so far.

I was super pleased to see how up to date and how sanitized they were keeping their little stations after each transaction. The cute purple Christmas tree was such a vibe. Rose was legit the sweetest most helpful budtender I have come across. She gave me exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be back!

WOW WOW WOW! What a rip off!!!! Absolutely the most over priced bud I have EVER BOUGHT. Sent my mom in with a list, cost me 140 at Coco farms for the EXACT SAME purchase at Velvet $180!!!!! Walked out paying $300 dollars for what we could have got for $200 and they didn't even give her a senior discount. This place is clearly not looking out for their customers. Save your money, put 5 bucks in the tank and go to Coco farms. BIG thumbs down on this place.

I just started using CBD products and didn't really know where to start and I'm SO glad I came to Velvet. I was helped by Shiva who listened carefully to my needs and helped me pick products that fit what I needed and avoid what DIDN'T need. She was incredibly knowledgeable! I am looking forward to going back to restock my product and try something new! Overall, their customer service during COVID was amazing and I felt comfortable being there, even on a busy day. Went here because I was in the area. Very clean and inviting decor. We were helped by Lemonte (pretty sure that's not how it's spelled, I apologize I can't find my receipt). He was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Super appreciate that  all in all a great spot. He was very kind and helpful and made our experience awesome. Give my man a raise!

Not very helpful when exploring pain relief alternatives on line.  Not a lot of customer service on line which is different than they project when you go to their facility.

I've been to Velvet several times now and each time I am impressed with how friendly everyone there is. Last time I went I had a problem with my chip credit card and Frank G. went above and beyond to help resolve the issue. Very much appreciated by this old gal! Thank you Frank and staff for your patience. Oh and the products have all been top quality too!

This is the nicest dispensary I have been to throughout California. Everything is clean, looks professional and the staff are incredible. I was helped by Daniella and she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and respectful. She would ask questions to tailor my cannabis needs. I will 100% be back and I could not give Velvet a higher recommendation.

Was looking for a more local option for my meds, and found this place.  I am impressed.  Flower was good, service was excellent, the store front is great, kinda back off the street, but easy to find.  Very clean store.  I will definitely be back

Yay, a local dispensary! Nothing but good experiences every time I've shopped here. From the easy parking, to the friendly staff, we'll stocked store and having most taxes included in the price, it's all been positive. Kudos to Rose for suggesting the Grape Pie kief infused pre-roll from Kingroll. Loved it!

I swung by Velvet Cannabis the other day after being informed that this dispensary opened up close to home. The establishment is top notch and the staff was incredibly welcoming. Sara helped me out and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I'll definitely be coming back.

Velvet is always a good time when I go! All staff is very friendly & knowledgeable, store is clean & well organized. They are practicing social distancing guidelines so you feel very safe walking in. Have been back a few times since opening & will definitely be back in the future!

I am so happy there's a dispensary so close to home. I hate going out to Berkeley or Oakland. Parking was easy. Staff was great from the security guard up front, to the budtender (Howard), and even the security guard letting me out were all very friendly. I will be returning.

Usually I am very satisfied with the service and product I get here, but not with my previous purchase. I came in to get one of the specials and I was told they were out of it, so I asked for a good Indica. I took the bud tenders recommendation. After going home and smoking it for the next few days, it wasn't doing much for me. So I looked up what it was specifically that I got and it was a hybrid, I don't smoke hybrids. I went in today and had to buy some more because the stuff that I was recommended is not working for me, so I had to buy something else and I explain to them what happened. I was offered a 15% discount Which came to about $15 off my purchase. So, I am out $55 for something that I didn't ask for because of a bad recommendation by one of the bud tenders.Not the kind of customer service I would expect from here as all my previous experiences had been good.

I've been really excited for this place to open up to finally have a dispensary in this part of the east bay. And I finally had the occasion to go today. What a fantastic experience. I've been to dispensaries in Amsterdam, Portland, Denver, and San Francisco and this spot is as good as any I've been into. Great product selection with all the top brands. Bright, clean inside with plenty of clear instructions about where to go and what to do. Everyone that worked there was incredibly nice, too. I was inside for maybe 5 minutes and had a pleasant interaction with at least 7 people. Everyone saying "welcome" and "hi!" and "can I help?" and "have a nice day!" Just a really friendly happy environment. Prices are extremely competitive too. Easily got more product for less money than I do when I get an order delivered. Can't wait to go back and I'll look very much forward to going here once a month!

This place SUCKS I would give it 0 stars if I could, doesn't accept medical patients under the age of 21! Denying medical patients no other dispensary in the Bay Area has done that to me, I would give it 0 stars if I could girl in front was rude I handed her my  ID and it was obviously under 21 ID because of its vertical photo and she told me she didn't need my medical card because I was good and then refused to let me in. Uneducated staff rude service spend your money elsewhere!!! Sad because it's one of the closest dispensaries to the Martinez area.

think i found my new fave dispensary! even with a line out the door and covid restrictions, the service was still incredibly fast, and maddi, who helped me, was patient and incredibly helpful. i wasn't sure exactly what i was looking for when i went in, but she helped me pick something that fit my needs/wants while still working within my limited budget. one of the best dispensary experiences i've had! (and the product itself is top notch lol)

Tried this place out the other night. I usually get a half oz of something like a indica. Something decent but when they told me $175 of some top shelf I was like I'll pass. Then they said they have something a little cheaper for like $120 and I said okay let me try it. When I get it I find it's pretty dried out and when I start to break it down tell me why I find a bunch seeds in it! Smh! I will never go to this overpriced, chronic selling place again! No gas over here!! Save your money!

Bud tender Alisa is great. She is very knowledgable about products and services that Velvet has to offer. Alisa was very patient with me and made sure I understood what she was explaining. I asked for a lighter and she gave me one of her own!

Updated my review and gave an extra star! Between the reward system and the discount cards you can find some sweet deals here. Customer service has never been an issue. Always helpful and friendly!I was driving to Antioch to get better deals before learning that I was collecting points at velvet this whole time. Alisa is great and the Tuesday/Thursday happy hours are great.  Nice staff, safe location, their security looks like it can handle a weapon.

Legit place. Of course expensive like they all are now but taxes etc. but both times the staff is really friendly and the most i have ever waited was less than 5 minutes. Tons of options and like the Papas and Barley brand I get there. Especially for sleep issues. The elderberry ones are great.Marci was really helpful, honest and really nice. My husband goes sometimes  and has a good experience too. Were always in and out and happy.

Wow! Okay this place is great. I have been to a lot of dispensaries where I felt intimidated, pressured, or unsure of being vulnerable about my needs. Angelica was truly excellent. I recently quit smoking but she was absolutely empathetic to the needs for me to find an edible/tincture I really liked. She helped me find a really great solution for anxiety and I had an incredibly productive day off because of it. Coming here I felt like I was accessing medicine and a way of feeling better in my body! I'll be back!!

Nick B is just cool. Sometimes you can feel someone's energy before hitting that counter and you know everything will be good. Glad I found this place a month or three ago. TL;DR - great employees, clean and nice indoor storefront, decent prices, good/fair parking; not much re: public transit options nor do they have as many frequent deals as other places in the East Bay.I've been to Velvet around five or six times now in the past few months, largely because it's the closest to me that has a store front and I know it exists already. Although the prices aren't any better than prices at some other locations, I love the friendliness and speediness of all the 'bud tenders' (all the employees really!) and how clean and spacious the place is each time I've gone; plus, if you go at the right time, parking is super easy. (The right time is NOT between 1 and 4pm on weekends.) Not sure how/if this place is very accessible if you don't have access to a car, but it's a nice storefront dispensary!Marcia (Marci? Ma..... well it was today and I'm high now so I can't remember her name. Radical cloth mask, brunette. I'm sorry, especially if your name is actually Janet ) was super helpful and friendly while helping me pick my flavors for this week's sleepytime gummies. I've loved every employee I have chatted with each time I've gone (and some of the other customers too), and I wanted to formally apologize for responding to every single Velvet employee who has ever complimented my various sundresses with "thanks, it has pockets!". (Also? I'm very proud that my maxi dresses finally all have pockets. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.) So glad nice dispensaries like Velvet are becoming more popular and accessible all over the Bay Area!

It's been over a year since I updated my review. Velvet has laxed with their covid rules. Which weren't bad to begin with. You just couldn't have as many customers in the store. They still maintain wiping down their areas after every guest. I'm always greeted with the upmost politeness. They've added a lot of new products including Stiiizy. I'd like to give a shout out to Sireena who helped me on October 13th, 2021. She was so friendly, polite. It's so hard to find people who like their job. She's an amazing employee. Thank you. I'm a fan for life.
