Years ago, back in the medical only days, the Native Roots in Denver had some of the higher quality product you could get at a dispensary. They have expanded massively since then. Well the mighty have fallen.... and hard. I've been there twice in the last year or so and have been blown away with how poor the quality has gotten. In both visits, not a single strain smelled how it should. They almost all smelled musty and gross. The best of the bunch just smelled OK. The Skywalker wax I took a chance on was the single grossest tasting concentrate I"ve purchased at a dispensary. No hint of Skywalker flavor. Just a foul distillation of the smell I encountered with most of their flower.If you're at all a connoisseur of flavor, stay far away from here.EDIT: I updated the review from 1 star to 2 stars. I got around to trying the  Glass Apple flower I bought. The strain that smelled OK. It was actually good. Had a unique flavor that I'd describe as piney. Seemed flushed right and was pretty potent. Still, I had to go through a bunch of bad smelling jars to find the strain, and that concentrate couldn't taste worse than it did.

1st time at the dispensary, went to purchase some CBD oil for our dog who was just diagnosed with cancer.   The lady at check in was very friendly, than proceed to the back, my daughter went to show the sales associate a picture of what we wanted on her phone.  She rudely told my daughter she has to put her phone away almost to a point of yelling.  My daughter said I need to show you what I want.  The sales girl "I dont care"   we didnt know about cell phones, 1st time in a dispensary.  Again rudely its posted, sorry we didnt see it.  The young girl was not friendly at all. Unfortunately we wont be back, or recommend it.

Staff was super awesome! I felt greeted and welcome from when I walked into and out the door. Selection horrible. No indica edibles at all. None! Disappointing considering I waited 20 minutes. Prices much higher too. Probably will stick to where I usually go. No indica based flower either! Wtf ?

CANNASAP IS A SCAMIf you like concentrates .... Buy them somewhere else! You will pay double if not more at native roots. They sell this liquid oil called "cannasap" ...named buy them I guess. When I asked the bud tender what it is he said, "it is hash oil mixed with propylene glycol/ glycerin". Than I asked WHY is mixed with that stuff ? He said " it is not as thick has raw oil". Not as thick? Who cares?! Don't go mixing pure oil with propylene glycol/ glycerin. So I thought of some "pros"  that having this thinner diluted oil might create. - thinner oil would mean your vape pen wouldn't get clogged or burn up as often-thinner oil would be easier to handle ( as in it has almost the same consistency as water so it's easier to transfer than something thick like maple syrup. BUT , the "cons" .... -it's made from butane ( the cheapest & most amateur way of making extracts) not to mention bad for your health, might as well go buy cans of butane and huff them. -The con is this thin cannasap burns WAY faster than normal hash oil. (Because it's thin it burns away faster obviously) -it's not EVEN CLOSE to being as strong.... (There highest THC content was 33%) , most raw hash oil is 75% THC AT THE LEAST. So this crap is less than half as strong. - IT COSTS MORE!!!!!!, these mother F**kers are selling this for $45.00 for a HALF GRAM. - it's thin, ITS SO THIN that it leaks out of the intake holes on your own pen you sell!! ( but that's ok because of the sweet wallpaper on the pen brahhh) .................it's totally tubular when your $45 half gram of chemical infused diluted hash oil leaks out of your penDude, most raw hash oils @75% THC or higher cost $45 FOR A GRAM. So your selling this cannasap product which is half the quantity , and half the quality. AS EVERY OTHER SHOP ON THE PLANET SELLS THE GOOD STUFF. Your using a cutting agent ( propylene glycol / glycerine, to dilute raw oil. Than your selling it for double the price! F**k the consumer who doesn't know any better right? Anything to fill your pockets. Just incase anyone reading this doesn't know any better about the going $$ rates, THC content,  and extraction processes contents of hash oil (liquid oil). Here's a quick lesson. Raw hash oil = 75% or higher THC content and commonly costs $45 a gram. "Cannasap" or cannacrap as I like to call it. = 30% or LESS THC content. This stuff is only made by native roots and there price is $45 for a  HALF gram. (And it's made with butane .I went to a dispensary in Boulder called "the farm" it was great, they sell real hash oil, extracted from c02. For $50 a gram. They also sell many of the SAME EXACT other off the shelf products for HALF the price native roots charges.

First visit was around 9 at night. Super nice staff and the waiting room cleared as quickly as it filled. It's an hour drive for me, but definitely worth it. Quickest purchase I've ever done.

I don't have much experience with dispensaries but my experiences at this one have been good. When you walk in, you check in at the front and show your id. You then wait in the little waiting room for them the invite you in. There's only about 3 to 4 people allowed in the room where you pick out your merchandise so if it's a busy night you might be waiting for awhile. In the waiting room, there's lots of little magazines to keep you occupied. Sometimes, there are coupons in the magazines so definitely check those out. Once we made it in to buy our merchandise, we were greeted by our "budtender". She was super helpful. She asked us all kinds of questions about what kind of experience we were looking for and recommended the perfect strain to provide an ideal experience. This is a great environment for people who are curious or nervous to try out something different. I usually gravitate towards the raw bud but they also have a decent selection of edibles to pick from. You have less selection with the edibles so, theres that to keep in mind. They do take card but it gets routed as a bank fee - not sure what that's about but it's good to have the option of using your card.

This was my first experience in a legal marijuana store.  Simply put. It was really a cool one.Zach the bud tender was knowledgable about what he explained to my friend who asked a ton of questions. Small bldg on the edge of a neighborhood makes it seem less public and more of a calming shopping experience. Parking great. Staff great.

Love love love this store and its employees! The best Longmont has to offer hands down.Thank you Native Root!

I have always gone by the rule that if a place is always busy it must be good. I've never seen this place not packed with people. Be prepared to wait at least 5 mins when you come here. They do have a nice order online system where you can order ahead and then they will text you when your order is ready. If you do this you will be the next person to go in when you arrive. The prices are good. Product even better. I wish they processed cards normally instead of using it like an ATM but it's good that you have another option rather than Cash only. The service has been friendly and helpful every time. It'll be my main spot here in Longmont until others open up.

Finally found this place after months of living in Longmont!  You can't take Sunset St. all the way through so you have to navigate your way around but once you do it's worth it!  The first time I went my out of state ID wouldn't scan so it took forever to get in the back. Also my budtender forgot my change after using my debit card but the manager was awesome and rounded my change up. Cheaper than The Farm and I actually like they're vape oil better.  Besides the creeper in the parking lot asking for rides this might have to become my new regular spot!

What kind of dispensary doesn't have indica dominant flower? This dispensary represents everything that is wrong with the weed industry in Colorado. They have 0 competition in town and are fully aware of it. Can't wait for Green Dream to go rec and take half their business. Just imagine if another rec dispensary were allowed in Longmont, this place would be dead. 12$ joints are embarrassing, the budtenders can't even keep a straight face when they tell you the price.

this has got to be the worst dispensary that i know of! Not only is there always a long wait. they sell you weed that is still wet. what a rip off! i will never go back again! pot is too expensive as it is. dont waste your money there!

My budtender kinda sucked today. Lacked knowledge. Needed more understanding of shatter, wax and budders but just puts down on the counter top the tray of samples. Monotone.. 1 or 2 worded responses.My many prior visits are a gem from customer service to bud tending and a new parking lot. Still a small facility but over it. Every visit/interaction I've had were exceptional.The gent today was ok..friendly @ 1st upon arrival. It got weird when the pricing & knowledge started.He then exhibits frustrations & stress due to a malfunctioning C.C. P.O.S. system then asked me to see if it was plugged in by my feet. I thought I was asking for a $55 gram of wax chem #4 OG concentrate but was given a gram of $65 gram of blue dream shatter. $75 bucks later...(guy needs more training.) the gent's continuing with the malfunctioning credit card machine...cursing under his breath shamelessly while  getting help from co-worker...Try not to show us customers how stressed out u are or if your having a bad day. Compose yourself. Yeah yeah it's a pot shop and all but still customer service eh.

One of the worst clubs very disrespectful people who work here and the stuff is not the best in the first place never gonna cone here again it was just a waste of my money and time theres a club in loveland called NA way better prices people are polite and actually have great stuff never gonna come to native roots again!

I love Native Roots! everytime i visit the staff is extremely helpful and friendly from the person who's checking you in to the budtenders. Always great prices and strains! I am never disappointed shopping at any Native Roots! Thank you for making a location here in Longmont. You guys are great!

Good price, good product, good people. For a small little shop like it is I'm impressed. Not the largest selection but more than enough to keep me happy while I'm visiting.

They have great customer service and communication skills. They walked me through the whole process and explained everything I had a question about without making me feel bad for not knowing. Fully recommend checking them out!

Super pleasantly surprised when I walked in here for the first time over a year ago. I was impressed by the wide variety of flower, edibles, and concentrates. Great variety of indica, sativa and hybrids in all products! There's always a friendly face greeting me when I walk through the door. I am lucky enough to be consistently helped by friendly, knowledgable, and trained budtenders that take pride in their work. Brandon D is by far one of the BEST budtenders there! He does his homework and always takes the time to make sure every customer/patient is satisfied with their purchase. He takes his time explaining everything you could want to know about any product and has never steered me wrong with a strain! I love that he remembers what my preferences are when I come in and suggests whats hot and tells me straight up what wont work out for me. All around, this picky little lady has definitely made this dispensary her favorite!!

Yes, it's small. Yes, it can be crowded when it's the only option for fifteen miles and all the hipster douchebags coming in from all over the frickin world try to cram in at once. But the people are friendly,  and the quality is the same as any other dispensary, ie: you get what you pay for.

This place has great quality medical cannabis. The staff if friendly and professional. It's the only place to go in Longmont so I appreciate that!

The three stars are because the staff have always been helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. That being said, the tiny house always seems crowded and there's nearly always a wait. Also the prices are almost double what they are in Denver, but it's convenient to have in Longmont. I've always liked the selection, never had a problem with quality. So overall it's good for if you don't want to drive far and at least the staff is friendly.

I gatta say this is by far my favorite spot! I drive from ft Collins to Longmont for my flower. Thanks guys for the great service!

There is a rude douche bag working the counter today 11/6 being rude and awful. This feels like a methadone clinic. What happened to this place??!! I left and went to another place. Gross. I thought the entire point of legalization was to avoid skeez. This place is beyond ghetto

I live in Broomfield and travel to Native Roots Longmont on a weekly basis. The combination of their price and quality of all products is absolutely unmatched anywhere else in Colorado.  Go check them out and see for yourself. The employees here are just an added bonus. Everyone is friendly and helpful and you are in and out quickly, even when there are a dozen people in the waiting room.  See you this week Native Roots Longmont!!!

This place can have some good deals but the people really suck! If you have any issues with your order and disagree with them they will make things difficult. I'm talking about the medical dispensary. I need it for medical reasons and that doesn't seem to make a difference. They had a real good time making me feel small and they had all the power. It wasn't regulation thing was a power issue they didn't like me disagreeing with them. They have a real listening problem! Just wanted to update my post since management had a comment. I had tried dealing with the management already they were the ones with a listening problem. Thank you for your comment

Great staff, food selection and member benefits! Can get very crowded since they are the best, it's worth the wait!!!

Came to this location while visiting and was pretty disappointed. Upon being greeted, you are asked to take a number and try to find yourself a seat, in what feels like an extremely cramped doctors office. I waited 20 minutes in a hot room with little to no AC. This dispensary is definitely due for an upgrade and I won't be back. On that note, the staff is very friendly and knowledgable but this experience could have been much better!

Go to twin peaks. I work at a dispo in Denver. This place is terrible. Terrible reception. Terrible management. First comeFirst serveRight?You don't let 15 people go in-front of a patient just because your incompetent staff can't file paperwork and check ids. Get with the 21 st century. Scrub location. Your Standard Operating Procedures are a joke. Not one dispo in this county does that! Fools!

I'm not sure what happened to this store. Used to be great. For the past few months they are very low on products, yet the other dispensaries have plenty. Today, I was treated very rudely by the budtender on the med side. Pretty sure I will switch my membership in June

I've tried almost all the other places in Longmont and native roots seems to have the highest quality herb. Plus the bud tenders are very very friendly and they get through people as quick as they can.

Friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming staff. Bud Tender V was great, very helpful and did not rush me to make a decision. Will be back!

The front desk lady has a SERIOUS attitude problem. The line at the door was confusing, so we stepped up to her front desk to offer our ID, and she barked at us that someone was ahead of us. We apologized for the confusion and then she continued to tell us how wrong we were. We left. That employee is costing you business.

Rude customer service. I was in this morning and some new girl got really short with me.  I bit my tongue and just walked out.  No menus here. And online menu doesn't give enough information. I need the THC amount, the high and the low. Otherwise I need to ask. Yeah I may need to see a handful of things. It's not my fault management ignores the second most important variable on purchase decisions.  Weed use to be good here. Quality has dropped and prices raised on joint packs. Packs are not dried and bottlenecks super small at tip The joints  are not smokable abd have been for a year.  The woods reserve is twice as wet as the house shelf and a lot more money for weed that's not even strong.

Typically I love native roots, but I just went here and they didn't give me my change! I called about 10-15 minutes before I returned to get my change back and proceeded to have to wait 25 more minutes so they could check the camera footage to see if I was lying. While I was waiting, another person came in with the same issue. They didn't care that I was on my lunch break and they used the whole thing up. It was all over $4 that I needed to replace a light on my car. Smfh, never have I had such a hard time dealing with money at a dispensary. And after the whole situation they didn't even give me my receipt back, which is critical in the marijuana business. Never have I been so disappointed in a business in my life. After all that I still didn't even get my exact change that I needed. For a total of $34.18 I only got back $4. I would have appreciated all my change especially since I had came back for it and told you that you messed up. It's ok though, I'm sure y'all kept it for your "tips" They also told me what I was buying was $10 cheaper than what I was actually charged (before taxes). If you value your time just go down the street and you'll be met with a more professional encounter.When my ID was checked at the front it was returned with a crack all the way across the top of it. Wtf am I supposed to do now. A $40 trip ended up costing way more just because the native roots in Denver was always good to me. Now I know. Don't make the same mistakes I did

Without a doubt, Native Roots in Longmont  is my go-to dispensary! Excellent selection of flower, edibles and everything in between. The bud tenders are friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Recently Chris was my bud tender he answered all my questions as well as letting  me know of any specials (which I happily took advantage of!)The location is discreet and convenient, with good parking available. Native Roots is both medical and recreational  so the waiting room was   full when I walked in, but even on a Saturday my wait time was minimal. The prices were extremely reasonable. . . Especially considering the great selection of goodies. Give them a try. . . You will be not be disappointed

The staff are absolutely wonderful! They're really knowledgeable and helpful and they treat you like they've known you for years. I went to a few different dispensaries in the Longmont area but this one was by far the best.

I cant remember who I had but he was training a new guy, any ways he recommended the best, i suffer from a few different things, and he it the spot I finally feel relaxed, and I cant thank him enough because its been a fat min since that has happened ?

I am deeply impressed with the customer service I received from the Longmont Native Roots store. I called the store after a minor issue and had the pleasure of speaking to an enthusiastic and understanding individual by the name of a Chad. He listened to my issue with an attentive demeanor, kindly offered to immediately remedy the issue at hand and expressed that it was his most sincere desire to make this situation right. He conferred with his equally responsive and wonderful manager, Jeremy, and together they ensured the situation was addressed, my needs met and faith restored!! He impressed upon me that it is equally so for all of the employees there to go above and beyond in performing their duties with passion as compassion. I can honestly say that our interaction was the highlight of my day and his warmth and competency ensures that I am a customer for life! I highly recommend Native Roots!!! I’m from out of state and here in Longmont on business for 6 weeks. Native Roots was the first and still the only dispensary I’ve gone to since being here. Every person I’ve encountered has been extremely welcoming and friendly and the prices are phenomenal. I had a fantastic experience with Jamie today that led me to write this review!! He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time explaining things I needed clarification on. I felt he went above and beyond to make it clear to understand and made sure I was taken care of!! Thank you, Native Roots, for offering such a compassionate service with such highly qualified and friendly staff! I’ll be back!
