Best recreational  product available and also have a medical maryjane section for treating specific ailments from sleep deprivation to anxiety or chronic pain.TW always requests a persons doctor recommendations and always advises clients to ask if he can approve the therapy, and are there any potential negative interactions with other medicines the individual might be taking. With that said the major requests are for recreational product.The recreational product section hosts a panorama of 1st class product from terpene vapes, indica or sativa pre-roll ups, THC flowers which are in large demand and if you don't act quickly it might be diminished by the time you arrive. The best way to see what TW has to offer is on their website. There is so much more to relate but no sense in repeating. You can place a telephone order the night before and debit cards are requested. Or cash for the exact money amounts purchased. There is also an app called canpay that you can be useful but I prefer cash or debit card. I have only scratched the surface in my narrative. As I mentioned Theory Wellness has an online site to peruse which will put everything together for you. One thing I must make clear. I live in New York but spend 4-6 months on the Cape (Cod).  I am a registered medical user in New York. I am a recreational user in Massachusetts where I am registered as a medical user as well but I am allowed to use the recreational products as they are just about the same thing and CBD is available store wide. There are pharmacists there as well as seasoned experts in the field who can help you find what you need. Starting out is a little difficult if you don't have a good idea of the procedures involved. If you feel a little unsure you can phone a caregiver there who can answer the many questions you might wish to ask.There are local laws that exist also to familiarize you with ok and not ok. I am independent of Theory Wellness as far as having no financial interest there. What I am relating above is from experience and observation.  One caveat is that you don't use around crowds or younger teens and be very cool with the local police as they are friendly and helpful if you are receptive. Do not cross a state line with product if that state has different laws affecting  the possession and use of marijuana. So for connoisseurs this is the place to do a try buy.  It isn't far and you can enjoy your purchase on the lake or in your house or a mountain top.  But if you are traveling I must stress not to cross a non-participating state line and please don't smoke or use any paraphernalia in the public's nearby view.Well peeps there is a lot more product there that will fit into this once small sized review. No summary, there are not many places outside of metropolitan areas where you find whatever it is that makes you, how shouldi I say.....well  maybe feel little excited to make it a better day Theory Wellness is in Great Barrington, MA and if you like to indulge you will find it here.  It is not necessary you order the night before it helps the staff save time. One time I arrived at around 9:00am and my appointment was at 3:00pm. No one ever asked me what time slot I was in but if it is busy be ready with your cash, license for ID, and some human sustenance in case you get delayed. Theory is a well-run dispensary. Really good prices, really good selection. Excellent customer service on-line and at their facility. I normally order online when I am purchasing, and doing it now is just as easy. I have no problem with their ATM fee. It's $2.75. That shouldn't make that big of a difference if your making a purchase, especially for the great service. Pay cash if you don't want to pay the fee. I look forward to Theory opening in South Portland, Maine, as I vacation in Scarborough, which is right next to South Portland. That is great news. A company I am familiar with right there.

Great Barrington location was great fast and efficient. Love there products. Pro tip: go to your bank and get cash before hand!!! They charge you an ATM fee even though they take debit and then your bank turns around and charges you another non bank ATM fee.

Everyone there is super nice, from the workers outside and all the staff inside.  Will continue to go back until NJ finally starts selling legal weed, but ain't holding my breath for that.For me, Pre-ordering is easy-peasy/the way to go since I'm driving about 3 hours to get there(from NJ). 3 hours to get there, 10 minutes to get your order, 3 hours drive home.  I went once pre-Covid, and my quick count showed about 100 people standing in line to enter the store and browse the merchandise. If your driving directions app gives you a choice between the Taconic State Parkway and the NY State Thruway, would highly recommend the Thruway.  The Thruway is shown as 7 miles/4 minutes longer than the Taconic. But the Thruway is a MUCH easier ride. You go thru many more small towns(20-30 MPH) and their speed traps once you get off the Taconic. The Thruway also has much wider lanes and is better paved.

Gus is the MAN!!!!!  I did the chat with an issue and I was lucky enough to get paired with Gus.. That dude was awesome.. He was patient with me and my confusion which turned into irritation and frustration. He remained patient and assured me he was trying his best to help out. I asked him to try to talk to a manager( no, not in a Karen, I WANT A MANAGER!! way)lol.  He was already doing that before I even asked... HOW AWESOME IS THAT??? when he was done with the manager for me, he had great news.. Gus was able to get approval for my order to proceed.  He went above and beyond for me today and I couldn't be happier or more thankful. I really needed this today.  In a time where lots of people are to lazy to even get a job, let alone do their job, this gentleman not only did his job, but did it in the best way possible. this is 1 happy and grateful customer/Med patient!!  GIVE GUS A RAISE!!! HE DESERVES IT

Stop in this spot and what a wonderful experience.  You ordered online and just pick up.  They have a really good selection. The staff is really nice.  I  will definitely be coming back.  A+

I'm sorry but this place has gotten on my last nerve. You have one guy regulating traffic and supposedly dictating social distancing in the "line". Today a fight breaks out over the "parking safety officer" dictating traffic and parking; and then walking away. Meanwhile you have this man standing in civilian clothing in the middle of a heavily populated shopping center parking lot trying to regulate traffic in every day overalls sipping on a coffee in one hand and waving his hand at people with his other. His solution to this stupidity? Threatens to cancel the customers orders. When confronted the man says I've got other traffic to worry about. This is some world class customer service. This review won't change because my wife and I won't be back. Google censored the details of my review so I put them here so people can understand the circus of Theory Wellness.

In the wake of the COV-19 apocalypse, while others raced to Costco to stock up on TP and bottled water (people are weird. Water is still coming out of the faucet so no need to hoard either of these things), we drove to Great Barrington to stock up on edibles, tinctures and vape supplies. Lots of people had this same great idea on Saturday. When we arrived in the middle of the afternoon, there was a 20 minute line to park. And the line to get in looked endless. But we persevered. We actually waited about 3 hours in line BUT by the time we got close, we figured out what we wanted (with the help of one of their informative staff people who was outside to answer questions), and placed our order via the website (you pay with cash/debit inside). It was ready in 5 minutes. Wish we would have done that at least 90 minutes sooner after we talked to the helpful staff member! I think we thought we wanted to look at things, but DON'T DO IT!! There's really nothing to look at inside (you will, however, get a very informed and helpful staff person to guide you). They deserve the full five stars because the people who work here are so all around awesome. The wait is what it is because of demand and because people DO have questions so they don't want to place orders ahead. That option is amazing, though, as next time we can plan on this taking 15 minutes or less.Annoying stuff: 20% tax is insane but I'm assuming not the store's fault. Ditto the cash/debit only, but I'll forgive them that. Pro tips: less crowded on weekdays, less crowded at night on Saturday.

Now I remember why I stopped shopping here....  you feel like a sheep, once inside you're rushed along and pushed down from window to window. They make you feel like you're at the DMV but even more uncomfortable than that.  I tried to give them another chance on my birthday and all I can say is I was surely disappointed with my purchases ontop of  standing in a corridor for 25 minutes in the pouring rain. 26% thc? more like 2.6%thc.... I will never go back here again.  I'd recommend going to the pass or calyx

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Have been there four times, and they are 100% on point every time.  EVERY employee has been outstanding on every visit.  If only every business hired, trained and cultivated this way.  If you feel in any way weird or intimidated about buy cannabis, I assure you that not one person in this store has some superior or condescending attitude. It looks like a great place to work.  Everyone is professional, friendly, and welcoming.  Oh, and it is supremely organized at every step of the process. Please don't let that phrasing make it sound like it's difficult. That's the thing...it's so easy!I look forward to my state some day coming to its senses. Until then, we'll make the trek to this place.

Love the product offering at Theory. Good options. Helpful staff. You can be in and out of the shopping processes quickly depending on time of day. We have shopped here several times. I can't give the store 5 stars because the flower weight is always underweight by a pinch or two and that adds up. Disappointed. Hopefully that can be fixed overtime.

Best quality cannabis I have ever smoked. The product they're selling is always great in every aspect.My only complaint is the price and the quantity that they limit you to 90% of the time. For the last few months they have put a limit of an 1/8 of each strain and from what I remember, no accumulative pricing. And for that reason, I have been going to Berkshire Roots.

Over charged for absolute trash. Both carts purchased leaked oil all over no offer of refund from the store. Way over charged

I've been going to this dispensary for quite a while now and spend a considerable amount of money every time I visit l.Today as I was walking to the door to get my preorder some old guy who was wearing a theory wellness started yelling at me about how I wasn't walking the right way to the check-in.It's not the customers fault that the guy looks like he hates his job has to be rude to the customers.There are no signs outside telling you where to go and you have this disgruntled employee getting stupid with people outside.I'm officially done with theory wellness and will not get my business anymore.You're better off going to The Pass in Sheffield where the employees are friendly and the process to buy cannabis is a lot easier then the confusion at theory wellness!

Theory wellness is welcoming and clean. The decor is minimal and everyone there is very knowledgeable. Only thing is the wait is always a little crazy ! Wish the wait wasn't as long as I waiting one hour during my last visit. I recommend ordering online before going.

We'll it's been a year since my last review and I'm sorry to say that nothing has changed. Lucky for me I can fly again and buy in MI (a less mature market) with no issues of quality or availability. Last year TW said as the market matured there would be more availability and prices would drop. That does not seem to be the case . Once NJ  and NY start up there will be no out of state plates at TW. They are polite but too greedy to hold on to a customer- anybody remember Medmen?

I have always bought here.  Until last time, all was great and I'd give 5 stars.  Last time (June 15) I bought two 1/8ths (different strains).  When I got home (nearly two hour drive), I found that one container had no seal, and it sure looked a light, like a bud was missing.  Should have called then, but didn't relish the thought of another almost 4 hours in the car.  For this the 3-star

Very rude staff. I accidentally used my middle name and my id had my full name and the condescending jerk at the entrance said "we are adults here and we use our full names" totally unnecessary. This was after I very nicely apologized but he just go meaner. I figured, ok he is having a bad day but it turned out the the entire staff that day was on edge and very short and impatient. I went to 2 other dispensaries since in different areas and could not have had better customer service. the gummies also got very very weak after a few days. wont go back here.

This place desperately need competitors! Worst 100$ spent. Chews and chocolate wasn't doing anything. Haven't got to pre-rolls yet but oh boy... without competition their prices are through the roof and quality not so much. I just moved from California to nyc and was hoping this would be a place for me to get indica. Not for now. Highly recommend using pre-order system. You can skip the line. Overall it's great that Massachusetts legalized weed, but such a long way to get it to norm.

The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced.. they all act crazy and have terrible attitudes. Not welcoming at all...

Great products. The outside lines need to be more established, customer friendly, and informative. There are different lines, and for a first timer, can be confusing (Even with the designation signs).What is the point if a pre-order?! Every time I try to pre order, I spend hours refreshing/reloading the preorder page. "Sorry! We are temporarily closed due to high demand"The demand is always going to be high, are you kidding?! To spend 90 minutes trying to order online, and then ANOTHER half hour in the preorder line, I might as well just have stood in the regular line for two hours. They've been open for quite some time now, and should have a better command of their products and staff. Get it together!

Happy with my experience every time.  Great store.  Great prices.  Friendly budtenders.  My only complaint (suggestion?) is a recycling program is needed. I got so many  empty black glass jars...  return for 5% discount coupon and you guys can reuse them?

Theory is a very high quality dispensary with reasonable prices and the demand shows it!This place had somewhere between 10-15 employees helping customers on a Wednesday morning! How often do you see that? Most dispensaries I've been to don't invest in that much staff and infastructure.After looking over their menu while waiting, I picked up two prerolls - a gram preroll for $15 and a mini preroll for $8. There was a 20% tax added which is mentioned beforehand on their menu and the service was friendly and laid back.

Great Barrington No signs anywhere just a bunch of tents and employees pointing and trying to talk to you they their masks ...medical folks were confused and I felt bad for them...this was set up to keep the money moving not the make the customers feel good or safe...they need some signage other than stay away don't park here ...but I didn't really expect much customer service from there anyway I guess.Aaaaaaamf they fucked out my order .  When I got home I realized that gave me the wrong pre-roll and what's listed on my manifest. Not only that but there's no way to contact them because the phone lines are down apparently

Service was great. Prices were a little high vs other dispensaries but the main point is the cartridges I bought were not even filled up. Both had huge bubble space straight out of packaging. Total rip off. The flower was good but the cart was a rip. Smh. Will not becoming back MAYBE for flower maybe.

Catch a short line and you've got it made. Medicinal and pre order lines typically move faster than recreational but you can luck out and have no one in front of you...sleek, clean, modern building with knowledgeable and patient staff. Go off peak, meaning not the weekend or late afternoon, but even that can vary... enjoy !!!

Friendly staff. Not a long wait. Pre-order is key. Wish it wasn't so expensive however well worth the drive. Getting there wasn't bad either.

Trust me and just go. 1,2,3 and you are out. The preorder helped out a lot. It was busy but still found parking and the line was like 2-3 min tops. Overall great experience.

Theory does a great job at taking care of business. They provide heaters to help you stay warm in line, post waitimes regularly on Twitter, have a great selection of flower, concentrates, ect..., friendly and helpful staff that keep the menu constantly up to date. They provide a clean and easy to navigate store front. I love that their buds are not pre packaged so I can smell and see what I'm buying. I do wish they had a larger selection of cartridges but with that said the full spectrum carts are amazing. Try them out I dont think they disappoint, follow on Twitter for regular updates/posts.

Covid is finally good for something! I do miss going over options for specific purposes with budtenders (in CA), but in my Mass experience legal recreational is new as well as pulling in customers from surrounding prohibition states, so just going in to browse before buying means long lines. Which means either way I'm pre ordering at Mass shops. As such, the pick up system put in place since the unpleasantness began is leaps and bounds over my previous experience. I order my strain and pick a time slot. First reason it's better this way is because with the time slots, there was no issue with parking. Several open spaces. Second reason, with the time slots that means no crazy lines, There was just one person ahead of me. And then you just show your ID and pay and get a receipt, walk around the side to a walk up drive thru-type window where you show them the slip and your ID again, they hand you your merchandise, and off you go back to New York. Or wherever it is you're going back to. Very quick, very easy.

Today, Sat. Oct. 17 I decided to drive down to Portland and buy some pot. Met some pretty amazing people that really made me feel at home. Great day

I asked if they sell recreational at the great barrington location specifically, 3 times. I got a reply that sounded like the sender was writing from mars. I quote the response. "As of yet,  MA dispensary is currently open to the public for adult use sales due to a lack of final approval from the State."wow.$360 for ONE ounce? how many pizzas come with that???? Colorado wanted $120 for a half ounce of medical blue dream. these prices are nuts. if I offered my current dealer $360 cash for an ounce he would spit his coffee across the room. #thankyoubye

The worst. If the goal was to create a disorganized, delusionally entitled whitebread and uptight NE experience buying legal weed, then it has succeeded. Oh, and I guess its business model is that of a bank:1. Looks like a bank2. Feels like a bank(3. Bank personnel are much more professional)4. Steals your money like a bank5. Just like a bank, you can't see the money; in this case, any product, any weed, nothing. You wonder where you are. But then there are the Rudes who work there in their whitey-tighties who'll remind you quickly that this isn't designed to be a pleasant customer experience.6. Instead of over-draft fees like a bank that robs you, Theory robs you both on product price and taxes: 20% on all purchases. Where does this theft I mean tax money go? What does it help pay for?I'm tempted to drive to Colorado to buy my legal weed. Or fly to Amsterdam. Or continue just buying on the street for half the price.Anything but MA; they really fu*ked-up what should be a chill experience. NOT!

I have used Pre-order on their website a few times. In the past, it was nice and saved time. I found their facility to be nice and just always decided to continue to use them, even though there is a closer dispensary to me. Today, I put in a pre-order for multiple products. Order email says it will take 70-90 minutes until the order is ready. I live 90 minutes away. I drive there, no confirmation that the order has been filled at 90-120 minutes. I had to leave after waiting in the parking lot for my confirmation email to be able to go inside. Finally, 140 minutes after I placed my order they reach out. Not to tell me my order is ready, but to tell me two items from my order were not available......I wasted my day and drove 3 hours total because of their lack of communication. The point of pre-ordering is to simplify and Expedite the process for customers that know what they want. It's also meant to save time for people that don't want to wait in there lines. Again, I have shopped here before and always used pre-order with my purchases, yet all they had to say was "sorry for your inconvenience." I own 3 businesses with over 200 employees and interact with hundreds of customers on a weekly basis. Communication is everything and when you drop the ball, you should own it and try to make it right. I mean for god sakes, you can track a pizza order from dominos and they update you on that type of order, but the lack of communication and updates with this establishment was an embarrassment and a total time waster. Good products, but poor internal processes on there end will ultimately turn off customers like myself.

Mediocre stuff that is overpriced with no soul . This is not medicine folks . It's hyped high thc weed grown indoors with very little to no connection to the spirit of the plant . There is no true revererance for the cannabis plant here , it's all about profit margins . And where they hell are the decent roads to drive on in Great Barrington? You would think these dispensaries should be tax so we can at least have a bridge to drive over ?

2 things:If you know what you want PRE ORDER, fast lane, just show ID and pay.Otherwise be prepared to wait for hours. Not because the employees are slow, is because lots of people like to smell, observe, they have millions of questions. Place is super nice, clean, and they have bathrooms and fresh water.Workers are very friendly and efficient Parking is a little bit of a issue, they have a crew of people outside to organize the parking, so be patient. I waited no longer than 10' for parking. Parking is very strict, can't park near the other stores.Only can pay with cash or debit cards, NO CREDIT CARDS.I got the gummy edibles, and I tried the grape ones as soon I got home, not strong at all, and i'm very low tolerant. I also got the watermelon, those have a little more THC. I've tasted other brands with much better reactions but not so much with Theory Wellness

Exceeded our expectations.CLEAN, Calm interior with a very nice vibe.bathroom immaculate.   parking ample.  stand in line if you don't pre-order.  Staff BEYOND nice.  Informative, coolthe person who took care of us said, "sorry for the lines, but we like to have everyone feel like there is no pressure in here and want to spend time with you to get the best experience".  WOW!!Water, umbrellas, trees, shade, information while waiting.  they need a food truck too.Prices were equal to what I pay on the street for Flower.  Quality much higher.  Will def go again.

We get that Cannabis Clinics have to get a few kinks out; this is all new to all of us. Including those of us educated, sexually diverse, racially diverse individuals. On 5/26/19, Mari V. left a review on Yelp, detailing his personal experience. I am typically against playing the race and/or sexuality card, but here I do feel this is worth discussion. In brief, he is a gay, latino visiting Theory Wellness for the first time, and was unaware of the specifics of the legalities. His non-smoking, caucasian, husband stopped by to see if he needed money, which he did because his initial, cheaper choice was unavailable. The security guard perceived this as my cousin illegally attempting to make a purchase for another individual, and kicked my cousin out of the store without allowing him to speak with the manager, whom the security guard claimed was the decision maker. First of all, why wasn't he given the opportunity to speak with the manager? From what I gather, these Cannabis Clinics are supposed to be artisanal venues - not late night velvet rope nightclubs. I've worked in steakhouses, high end luxury boutiques, and a small artisanal paper store in Soho. When someone asks to speak to the manager, they speak to the manager - no matter who they are. Never did Mari V. state he was intending to buy more than his legal share - just that he was getting money from his husband. The manager should come out of hiding, and handle a manager's business. Secondly, what comes to mind when imagining Cannabis Clinics, is being progressive and future forward. You know what else is progressive and future forward? Gay, bi-racial marriage. Thirdly, I read the owner, Thomas W.'s response, and I was not impressed. He wrote "Our security personnel identified the situation as one individual purchasing cannabis on behalf of another individual through...", etc. Objectively, you make your security personnel sound like a gaggle of bots rather than a team of humans. I mean, really, no one had the time of day to ask a few questions, ask for some proof or some wedding photos? I have so many questions. What happens when a heterosexual couple is exchanging money? Or caucasian friends are exchanging money? Or friends of the same race are exchanging money? Do you let them go on good faith? If giving your partner money isn't allowed, it should be made clearer to your public. Finally, your response was full of legal jargon which did not match the emotional tone of your potential clients' review on Yelp. You might want to consider hiring a legally equipped yet empathetic older, maternal PR rep. Figure out your image, unless this is the image you want portrayed.

Had 1 cashier open for a busy a Friday night.. took an hour to pick up a call ahead order. Staff was rude and everyone had to wait in line outside when mosquitoes were terrible. Whoever designed this process needs to be fired.

My experience with Theory Wellness is such that I feel no need to venture elsewhere. Their small batch flower is always beautiful and their service is great. I recommend preordering for an in and out experience.

Went back to Theory Wellness for a second try. A much better experience, at least for oil. Still needed to use their pen, which is just OK, but someone explained they do not add anything artificial, even thinners, so sometimes the oil residue can be a bit cloudy. No issue if extra pre heating.I got a new pen - this one worked much better. Cartridge still opens - which it shouldn't. But the content was pretty damn good.Things in the dispensary improved from last time. I get the feeling they will continue to improve. The staff have been overwhelmed with demand, and sometimes the process may not be as smooth as it should. Stay tuned....

I've visited Theory Wellness twice now. Their products and customer service are great, and their online pre-ordering system is simple and efficient. The store is neat, clean, and inviting, and they always have new, interesting products/paraphernalia to check out. It's so well-run you'd think that they've been in town forever! I only hope they are able to open more locations in the future. Highly recommend!

I've been here twice. The first time I waited in line for quite a while, but recently, I was able to walk right in. The store is small, clean and well laid out. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The first time I was in the shop, I brought a friend who had never been to a dispensary before and the staff was able to guide her so she could choose the strain that was right for her. As for myself, both times I've been in, they've had Cookies & Cream, which is a great strain! I'd recommend Theory Wellness as one of the better dispensaries I've been to in MA.

The positive reviews on here were apparently written by people who have never had the pleasure of visiting one of the other dispensaries in Massachusetts. Comments about how nice it is inside "once you get in there" - and the "line moves pretty fast if you get there before opening" say it all. They have an online preorder option. Sounds good. That should provide you with an opportunity to order ahead and skip the line outside, right? Not so fast. They routinely close down the pre-order option when it is busy. That makes a lot of sense, right? That line is getting long out there - let's shut down pre-order so we have less customers just making a pick-up  and put them all  on the back of the line where each transaction has to start from scratch. Then the line snakes out into the parking lot where you can expect to stand around for over an hour. Look, I don't doubt their claim that they have high demand. But so do the other dispensaries I have visited - in Northampton and Wareham. But those operations are run well. The lines are generally short and they move swiftly. The Northampton pre-order is particularly effective. It does beat out the Registrar of Motor Vehicles because the people inside are nice and competent.

Hello Everyone! I'm going to be quick, I'll lay out the pros and cons of this place. First let me start by saying, overall, I love this place. I've never had a bad experience personally.FYI: I'm from NYCI'm leaving this here, not adding this to the Pros or Cons, take it how you want: The town is friendly, and seems the majority of its residence are white. I'm Puerto Rican, and the friends I come with are either black or Hispanic. I've NEVER had an issue with ANYONE!!! McDonald's employees were friendly, cops outside of the dispensary are friendly, fuck, everyone is friendly.  If anyone else is throwing shade on anyone being disrespectful, take it with a grain of salt. Seriously. I've been to this dispensary like 8 times already, not a single issue. If someone is saying they got disrespected, well, they may have taken it way to personally and started assuming shit (assuming makes an ass out of you and me ).Pros: - employees are friendly-employees are helpful- never felt like an employee was talking shit, didn't like me, or was rushing me- employees are knowledgeable- plenty of employees, so the line does go pretty quick- the area is fucking beautiful. If you're just coming here for weed, and heading back home, you're making a mistake. At the VERY LEAST, smoke a blunt on one of the hiking trails. A short one if anything (preferably for ME: an hour+ with friends) You won't regret it.- Weed is good quality, love there selection.- I've made friends while waiting on line hahaCons: - the line gets long FAST. You gotta treat coming here as if you were going to the beach. You HAVE to wake up early, plan on getting here at least 30 minutes prior to them opening.- I wish the buds (weed nugs) were bigger, not a big issue because I'm gonna get high regardless. Just a personal preference.- the gummies are okay... not worth it to me, but this is just personal preference- oils... I bought once, I didn't feel like It was worth the $50-$60, i wasn't getting high like I wanted to, wont be buying oil.- the prices are a lot more then Black Market prices, definitely wish they were lower and I hope they do become lower in time. And guys... please don't come here buying a gram... not worth the trip, buy in bigger bulk. I normally buy a pre roll 1G ($18) and a quarter of weed (price varies). I smoke the pre roll on a hike with friends.- They use to sell more then one pre roll but now limited it to 1 per customer, this Truly does SUCK, as I LOVE there pre rolls.- they don't do sales.... imagine a buy one get one free sale??? Lol!! I'd be there in a heart beat. Anyways, as stated above, overall a good place to head to. Why this place has 2 and a half stars on yelp overall is beyond me, they do deserve more. Theory Wellness is a scam. They limit the best strains (1/8th maximum purchase) and charge $55 per eighth.Their other choices are lackuster. Mediocre weed. So, Theory Wellness forces you to buy their other shit weeds.Their cartridges are $50 -55 before the 20% tax. With tax, they are $65 for just a 1/2 gram. On the black market, you can buy a 1.0 gram cartridge for $50  (no tax).If you do the math, there is no conclusion other than you're a complete idiot for paying these outrageous prices and being subjected to insulting 1/8th limits on their good weed.I will not be insulted any more. The black market is the only way to go. This way, no more dried out weed from Theory Wellness.Boycott the greedy Theory Wellness!!

First experience,  make sure you get there early! Once inside the line goes quickly. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices add up quickly and then tacking tax on top but all is well. Will definitely return

I have come here a few times in the past and have had perfectly decent experiences. For some reason, I decided to stock up last Monday (5/25), the day they re-opened to recreational users. Not unexpectedly, there was a very long line of cars that we waited in for about two hours. Despite this (which was not Theory's fault) I was so impressed by how friendly and helpful all of the staff remained under the obviously stressful situation. A lot of the customers were agitated or having issues, but all of the employees that I observed were patient and polite. Thanks Theory!

After a few sessions with the flower I purchased yesterday I'd like to improve my assessment of the high. It's actually pretty decent. The Banana Split isn't much but I like the White Knuckles and mixing the two is pretty nice. And though they don't look like much, once you grind up the buds you do see the kief (lots of it). It's possible they were kiefed anyway. In either case the fact remains that the product just isn't that great. When you buy good weed it stinks up your whole room even in a sealed container. This stuff is mid-grade at best. Sorry, not sorry.

Say what you will but this place is GREAT!!! I am a 65 years old lady w/ a lot of medical issues. This has been a lifesaver! The flower and the high CBD tincture has allowed me to have some quality of life with less pain. I am able to function and do things I couldn't do before. Thank you thank you thank you! Everyone is very nice and explains all the different products to me and what would work best. For me it's flower and also the tincture.God Bless!!!!

I had an Amazing experience. Took a while to get here but the drive was beautiful and worth it. Super friendly and informative staff, clean and professional. If you get on line early they hand out menu books to better prepare you for what they have that day. When checking out they give you grade a treatment explaining all your products.

Great experience, excellent product.Just got back from my second Theory Wellness trip and here's my comments on both trips.Absolutely superior products, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My first visit I just showed up near opening time and waited less than fifteen minutes in line. 100% satisfied with all of my purchases. Today I preordered and spent less than five minutes picking up my order. It's true that the pre-order menu is smaller than the regular menu, but it did have everything I wanted. Good business, good product, good practices. Don't know that I could ask for anything more.

Due to Covid, all operations are done outside so this is not a good place to go unless you know you will be standing outside for a long long time in the cold in many different lines. When we arrived at Theory we were told we needed to order ahead.  We weren't sure what we needed so we were told to get in line and we could talk to someone.  After about 20 minutes in the cold the young man we spoke with was very helpful  and took our order however the lines are very regimented. There was a single decorative heater I went to stand next to but was told to step back. After a long experience ordering we had to go around the building and and stand in another long line to pay and then another line to pick up our order. By the time we got our orders we raced back to the warmth of the car and drove home. Unfortunately we did not check to see that our order was correct. My friend had ordered what we were told was an indica vape pen and when we got home it was a hybrid. If you have a prescription from mass medical your experience will be much better as you won't have to wait in line. Otherwise, there is no reason not to go to one of the other shops in the area where you are allowed inside.

My experience(s) have been good.  The last time I did my 1st preorder and it was a much better experience, I am no fan of standing in a line.  And not a fan of the extreme tax.  (Almost $45 on the last visit).

Honestly I waited in line for 2 and a half hours and bought a 10 pack of gummy edibles and they were trash didn't have any effect on me. The price for 10 4mg gummies was $47 total. I could've eaten like 40 McDoubles next door with at least a fast food high. I DONT EVEN SMOKE I have legit 0 tolerance. Why didn't these work???? Lmao ok I'm done but I just feel like the legal market is overpriced and too hyped!

The staff is helpful and the product is good. Taxes are high. Everyone is friendly. The brewery down the road has very good food. I love going to Theory.

Drove 1 1/2 hours from NY, stood in line for 2 1/2 hours, only to find out when we got inside that they were out of the bud we wanted!  Totally sucked!  They handed out umbrellas to the people standing in line because it started to rain; which was nice, but you couldn't come out to let people know that you were running out of product!!!! Totally unacceptable, but when you've got a line of people stretching out to the street EVERY day of the week, I guess you can do what you want and people will still come.  Not us, we will stick to our usual connection!  Oh yeah, 20% tax and an additional "marijuana tax", you are definitely NOT going to save money by buying it from them.

Very clean, organized, friendly establishment. Usually go after work a few hours before closing and I usually don't wait longer than 40 minutes, which flows smoothly and fast considering the amount of people that are always there. Then once you get inside, all the employees are extremely helpful. They don't rush you and it's always a pleasant experience coming here. Best part is the products never disappoint! Highly recommend, worth the drive!!

First time going we stopped by because we were in the area and wanted to check it out. It  was a great experience the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the products. Everything was great so we decided to go again and this time the wait was a lot longer but it was a saturday morning so everyone had the same idea to get there early. Again great experience and staff. Purchased more products and very happy with them. I have recommended them to friends who have gone and love it. Cant wait to go back!!

What I've experienced today has me on edge. As a gay person of color living in NYC I've never experienced the treatment I received at Theory Wellness. It's disturbing. My husband and friend decided to take a quick trip down to Great Barrington to go food shopping and to get some edibles and "flowers" to celebrate my birthday weekend. Knowing that this place has a long wait line we decided to divide and conquer. I'll wait on line while my husband and friend go food shopping. It was about a 40 min wait time. I'm almost to the entrance when my husband and friend finished up there shopping and came to let me know that they're waiting for me and if I need anymore money. I get more money from my husband and let him know that the edibles I wanted was sold out and I'll probably just get the higher quality item. I showed him on their menu the selection. Now my husband and friend don't even smoke or take any kind of marijuana substances, so this was purely for my enjoyment, they had zero interest in anything I was doing. As I get back and focus on my task I was yanked out of line by the doorman with shorts and a hat. This was about 4pm in the afternoon.  Confused I follow him and he says I need to leave the premises. I was dumbfounded as I felt I did nothing wrong. He goes on and says that I broke the rules and couldn't be served because I was with my friends and I showed them the menu. Now if this was a major rule in their book they need to have a sign that states that or at least come up to us politely and say this is not allowed so people could  know and not know what to do before making this transaction. I explained to him my situation and he says "I'm a grab my manager and you speak with him."  I waited another 20 minutes to wait for the manager who never came. The doorman came out and said my manager said you have to leave. I asked to speak with the manager and he replied you just need to leave. I was so heartbroken cause I know this was all homophobia and racial profiling. I tried to remain calm and begged to get back on line as I've been waiting for this moment of purchasing legal marijuana in the US for a long time. I was crushed and embarrassed as everyone on line witnessed what happened. I would admit I did leave making a scene as anyone who was improperly evicted would do. Being thrown out of place for being who you are hurts.

Customer service here is great!  I thought my package was short so I contacted by email and voicemail.  Representative got in touch with me within a few hours and gave easy instructions to resolve the issue.  I had incorrectly weighed my purchase so no issue.  But until I discovered the error, I was very satisfied with the response.

I've been here a few times. The quality of the product is excellent and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately there is almost always a line and the pre-orders are almost always closed. Granted the line is mostly in the shade and there is water available, but it's frustrating because it can take an hour to get inside. Once you're in, the atmosphere is a little clinical but still welcoming. The pre-rolls are always fantastic quality. I recommend Jilly Bean if they have it in stock, it's a great strain for creative productivity with low anxiety. The chocolate bars they have are really good, I have to hide them after I have some because I'll forget they're medicated and eat them for munchies! Overall a great dispensary, the line just takes away from the experience.

Ive been to this place many times now and i cant think of a single thing to complain about except for the lines. They are hit or miss though, if you go on a weekend with decent weather, youll be waiting a good 1.5-2 hours. Usually there is an employee in the lot who guides people to parking spots so things are fair. There wasnt a line at all the last time i went on a Wednesday. Quite a lovely town as well, everything is very laid back and you dont feel like youre going to be pulled over outside of city limits. The employees can be a hit or miss. Theyre always friendly but sometimes towards the end of the day, you can tell they get stressed and sick of dealing with people so its best to just be patient and let them do their job at their own pace and not get frustrated if they dont hear a question or look like theyre staring into space. So far out of all the dispensarys  ive visited in Massachusetts, this is by far the best and caters equally to medical and recreational buyers. Another thing is the quality of this product is best ive had in this country so far. Hands down.

Really disappointed with my recent experience. I have been to this location often and I usually always pre order . Today I went on the website and placed an order for 2 eighths . The price shown on the website was $15 per eighth.  I live in NY about a 50 min drive to this dispensary . I placed my order and once I received a confirmation text I got on the road . I got half way there an received a call from an employee who informed me that they ran out of that strain and asked if I wanted to replace it . I asked her if I was going to get the same price and she told me to wait while she spoke to a manager . She came back on the phone and told me they couldn't replace for the same price and that I would have to pay $55 for an eighth of another strain and that the manager would give me a line pass. Ummm that's ridiculous!!! First of all what would I need a line pass for if I preorder! I'm really disappointed with how they handled this. Driving from out of state and having to turn around mid way was a huge inconvenience and I'm extremely disappointed. If an item is sold out they should make that known on the preorder page on their website and not text me telling my order is ready!  Not pleased AT ALL!!

Quantities for sale always limited. Not enough product, Indica flower always in short supply. Limits of one ounce per person but rarely available. Price is high. Parking lot filled with NY plates. 20% tax ridiculous. Although legal it still feels illegal. Packaging is environmentally toxic. Politicians making policy know nothing about this industry. Save your money gas and time and stick with black market until they get this right.

Prices are very high and can only buy one pack of edibles. They don't have full 1 gram carts you can buy which sucks. Staff is awesome and people are nice, just hope prices come down eventually. The only reason I took away a star is due to prices compared to when I lived in CA. If prices ever drop to what it's like out west then I'd give the star back immediately.

The line was ridiculous, I spent almost an hour waiting to get inside . While they had people showing up left and right skipping the line to get in which was absurd . Especially to the few older folks waiting in line with me . Upon finally getting inside it was a breeze . The bud tender was very helpful and informative. I felt welcomed and wasn't rushed . The prices were high but not unreasonable .

the amount of corona that was being passed back and fourth on 3-16-2020 ,,, management is stupid, i bet this company out of business 2 or 3 years, i would stay away...huge lines, people breathing on peoples necks, out-of-towners, avoid at all costs

I visited Wellness Theory last month.  Did my research and pre-ordered what I wanted and I was in and out in 10 minutes.  The staff members were very nice and helpful.  I'll be visiting again this week!

I had visited Theory Wellness about a month ago. While there, one of the purchases was an 1/8 of Mimosa. Upon opening the product, I noticed 2 large nuggets and was excited. I did notice the bud leaf which wasn't trimmed properly. Upon pulling off a piece showed me why the nug was so large. The stalk was immense. I was unhappy and notified TW. Morgan could not help other than staying I would get 3 passes to the front of the line. What kind of stupid policy is that? Okay, they realize their products are in such high demand. Line passes were a joke but I reluctantly accepted the offer because I could tell what I was dealing with. Yesterday, I attempted to order an ounce of New Glue, as it was listed as flower in the ounce option. I had no luck. I decided to send e-mail to Morgan asking her for line pass along with letting them know the ounce option wasn't working on pre-order. Someone opened my email and it tells me they're working on my request. I arrive to find shift manager could care less. Never Again. I hope people wake up and realize your mid grade flower for just under $600 is a ripoff. By the way, the ounce is still listed on menu as if 2 minutes ago

I'll start with everyone working here is super friendly and informative. The line is long to get inside but once you're in it's a quick process. I also figured out while waiting outside you can pre order from their website and skip the line, from my understanding they only do a few pre orders at a time and they shut it down then start back up once those are done. So I'd hit the refresh button a few times if that's your game plan. They were out of the mango gummies I was looking forward to, but to be fair they're new and have had a lot of customers in a short amount of time. Everything you get comes in a black sealed bag, which is very discreet and smell proof. The only downside for me was when using your debit card( only cash or debit card allowed) it charges like an ATM, so they round up to the closes dollar then give you change. Unfortunately with it being like an ATM there's a fee associated with it which I wasn't warned of.

With cannabis being so new to the legal market, I am surprised to have experienced such a polished and comfortable visit. the Theory Wellness staff was incredibly helpful; I generally know what I want in advance of any dispensary visit, but since products tend to vary from one brand to another, it was really great to have someone walk me through their product lines and options that would be appropriate for my tastes. The vape cartridges taste so clean and refreshing -- there is no throat burn at all like there is with flower or with many other brands of vape cartridges. The gummies were amazing as well, and the high was consistent from one dose to the next. I love the fact that they focus on small batches -- I have a feeling this is how they are able to achieve that level of quality. The coolest thing I observed while there was the way many different people from all kinds of backgrounds and lifestyles were striking up conversation and interacting in a way I don't think would normally happen to that great of a degree without a catalyst like legal cannabis. I can't wait to come backend try something new!

Great dispensary with amazing strains and incredible concentrates, open to the public for anyone 21+ as well!

I went to Theory Wellness for the first time last night.  there was no line and only a handful of customers in the store.  I checked out the literature and went to speak to a budtender.  A bored looking woman with long dark hair asked me in deadpan if I was going to purchase something tonight.  I said I had a few questions.  She rolled her eyes.  I asked two questions, received monosyllabic answers to each, and was then asked again if I was going to purchase something tonight.  I will NEVER return to this place.

As someone who loves cannabis and has recently gotten a foothold in the industry, I was so happy with my experience at Theory Wellness. While the wait was long (out of the control of the dispensary, not going to say it is a negative) I enjoyed every single second of it. I got into a conversation with another customer and he was new to cannabis. He stated that he had not really tried cannabis in almost 30 years, and was nervous about trying it. I attempted to help choose a type of flower that would suit his needs, based on my own knowledge. When we got into the dispensary, it was clean and the staff was polite and so customer oriented. I was helped by Kayla, a super sweet and knowledge budtender. I highly, HIGHLY recommend being helped by Kayla because of her depth of knowledge and customer oriented attitude and perspective. She helped the man I met in line so well and he walked away so happy. I learned so much about how to properly handle bud, how to help customer choose their cannabis, and how to provide a genuine, exquisite customer experience. Highly HIGHLY recommend theory wellness for your cannabis needs!

I have spent a small fortune trying to find solutions to my mother's pain. After trying epidurals, acupuncture, etc. I decided to try something less conventional. I researched extensively and decided to try CBD made from cannabis (not hemp) in a 3:1 ratio of CBD:THC. I thought I found it at Theory Wellness but unfortunately, what they advertise on their site is not what they have in the store. That, and the lack of customer service is not my primary complaint, but these people are not running a business they're just raking money in. My chief complaint is the efficacy of their products. I don't know about their "flower" they sell, but I know from experience that any idiot can grow "flower", so I guess they have that down. And they sell it at a premium. The other items, the ones that require an extraction process, are  ineffective, and I question the content they claim. After trying just their CBD for a while, with no effect whatsoever, I decided to add the THC after reading quite a bit about it.  We were unable to get the combination we wanted, so we bought the highest strength THC tincture/oil we could get at Theory, 590mg THC. Four individuals, my 87 year old mother included, two with no previous exposure to THC, took the recommended dose of 15 drops or .25 ml. and felt nothing. So we decided to double the dose the next time. Still, 4 people felt nothing.  So we went up to three times the dose the next time. Yup, you guessed it, no one felt anything. Of course, I reached out to the store personnel through this process. Obviously the strength of their products has been challenged before and they have a pat answer of "everyone's different,  just keep trying".  Well the $100 bottle of THC is gone and no one felt any effects at all. And did I mention that they don't give a crap?  They don't. Save your money folks and do it yourself. Which, by the way, is what one of their employees told me to do. It is not a difficult process at all to make a THC tincture AND you'll have something that actually works. Also, you will know what was used and the extraction process used, so you know what you are putting in your body. It's the wild west out there. Be careful. Also, if you definitely don't want to do it yourself and are going to patronize a dispensary, find one that's been around for a while longer and maybe has some competition.   I now know of others that have tried their edibles with no effect as well.   I am now moving on to research where and what organization/lab tests these products and where to file a formal complaint. For all the taxes you pay on these purchases ($95 item comes to $114) I expect some oversight. This business proves to be that humans really can't be expected to do the right thing without motivation. Or competition. Who knows, maybe in a few years there will be community co-op gardens.

The mimosa is off the chain. I had gotten four diff strains and they are all amazing. Comparable to Cali a nice clean euphoria.

This place is not very good. The menu is lacking most days. After a week of trying I gave up on trying to preorder, it's always down. The line is at least an hour any day, and anytime they get something decent on the menu it's limited to an 1/8 per visit. Who wants to drive an hour, stand on line for 90min, then pay 20% tax to walk away with an 1/8? Not me. There are much better options out there. Never coming here again.

Seriously OVER this place. I always feel like a little girl being yelled at by some chuckle head a hole. Just left and the man in the cash isle was so rude. Never fails but every time we are treated like we are children buying something we should not be. FACT: you can direct people and be KIND!!!! Check out Canna Provisions!!!!

Waiting in the rain to enter here was NOT fun. Plus I had to leave my umbrella outside.. do they think they could be used as weapons? I'm confused.Other than that it was the typical- show your ID at least 3 times to 3 different people and wait on line for your turn. The prices were about average for an MA dispensary but the wait was way longer than I was used to. Perhaps bc it is close to so many state borders that many were not from MA. Anyway they had a decent selection and for what I wanted, the prices were not bad. Small discount if you bought 3+ but I cannot stand the 'atm fee' when using a card. As if I am not already paying a lot to begin with. They have legit 12-15 ppl working at once and yet it still remains packed so they must be making bank here.

Immediately after I preordered on their website, they started sending me ads. Do not trust a company that opts you in for their newsletter without asking. There are plenty of other dispensaries in Great Barrington. Farnsworth's is very nice.

Great selection but (as of early June) you must order online at website for speedy & efficient in-store pickup.  Plexiglass everywhere but no in-store displays

The entire experience, from ordering the night before (you can do an online order for next-day pickup after they close for the day), to pickup, could not have been any smoother or better organized. Problems they have had in the past with line management appear to have been sorted out (at least today). On hot days like yesterday, they also had misters running outside to keep you cooler with the spray. The staff are friendly, talkative, and very helpful. If you are satisfied with their products, then you most likely enjoy everything else about the place.

Forget about going inside and perusing the glass shelves. Not here. Pre order is their best and only way to go here. In Great Barrington, MA on Stockbridge Rd, we had actually gone through their online stock, preordered what we wanted then paid right in their website. After all is said and done, you're given a confirmation and a time slot for outside pick up. We'd gone to another dispensary in MA back in September 2020 and were allowed indoor access- but not sure why that's not the case here. In any event, there's an even flow and line moves ok I guess. Quality is very nice, I liked the glass bottle packaging and pricing, is neither too low nor too high.

This place is great.  I'm a super anxious person and it was just a very easy experience.  I was in and out and everyone who worked there was really nice.

This is a well organized business and the hands-on staff is polite and knowledgeable.Right now they have lines of entry for medicinal patients, pre-orders, and walk-ups. Lines tend to be awhile on the weekends.Don't always have all items in stock.

I like this business. Theory Wellness is a nice visit and the people are great. However, they really need to step up their game with product. Particularly flower. I always checked their menu when it was time to take the trip and re -up on my supply. So consistently do they have the least potent weed of all the local dispensaries that sometimes I do not even check on their offerings. This means to me that they are catering to novices not experienced partakers of good, high grade, high THC flower. I will gladly return if they have flower for me rather than the middling to weak, entry level weed that may work well for a girl scout troupe.I hope the best for Theory and hope they respond to ALL customers wants and needs.

It's fall and time to see the leaves in the Berkshires.    While in MA I stopped to see this shop.  It is a nice store with great decor.   Yes, I'm sure most people don't give the interior design much notice.   Parking is good, staff were pleasant and prices were reasonable.  And of course, there are a multitude of ways to enjoy the product.   All necessary equipment which you may require can be purchased within.

I believe they are only doing pre-orders and their system for pick up means you don't get to go inside (at least for recreational users). No matter, they've got heat lamps and they are so efficient that you won't be out in the cold for long. Everyone there is super friendly. I can't speak to the quality or the prices, since this is the only dispensary I've been to. Maybe I'll have a basis for comparison once NJ opens up for recreational use next month.

Theory Wellness will hopefully be forever my go-to dispensary. If your from NY you've probably already visited or are thinking about visiting since the distance is so close. Theory wellness has a super knowledgeable and friendly staff, they have an answer to almost any question which is something that I really valued when I was a newer stoner. If you already know what you want their online ordering makes it super easy and convenient to order and pickup at your convenience. The products are incredible and their constantly changing menu always leaves an opportunity to find a new favorite strain or product. Theory is a really popular spot so I'd recommend trying to go during off hours like during the the week or in the morning when they first open. Weekends can be a nightmare of waiting in line with that amazing cannabis aroma teasing you. The only negative thing I can say about Theory is that here and there, the menu seems a little light. I suppose it's because they are running out so fast! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Theory Wellness, you will not be disappointed. P.S. they only accept cash, or debit card, consider state marijuana tax and sales tax in your budget, and DO NOT FORGET YOUR ID.

First time EVER in a legal place, very clean, smelled GREAT !! Absolutely no line at noon. Kassandra waited on my wife and I and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable, super pleasant, and really helped us out. Product is top shelf, and a nice treat that we will be doing a lot more of in the future ! UPDATE: With other dispensaries in the area, it’s obvious Theory is not as good as I thought. VERY expensive as compared to others in the area, and the lack of varieties, the low THC on most of their flower has led me away from Theory. It sucks to feel like your being ripped off, so I’m O-U-T at Theory

Me, my girlfriend and brother all take a 2 and a half hour drive up to theory Great Barrington and we are never disappointed! The staff is always so friendly and the product is amazing in quality. We love the friendly, clean and great vibes your establishment puts out! Absolutely love Theory and can’t say more good things about them all

This was my first dispensary trip. The ease of ordering ahead and picking up was nice. The staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The product was decently priced and the quality was phenomenal. It was packaged neatly in reusable containers. My only suggestions would be to display more for consumers to look at as far as product and fight taxes! The picture wall was awesome, the vibe there was very positive and uplifting. Thank you !
