This was my first time here, and let me just say DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS because they're totally not true! Every person I interacted with, from the bouncer to the bud tender, was super friendly and courteous! I'm not a newbie, so I already knew what I was looking for when I came in. Marcus, the bud tender exceeded my expectations with his customer service. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and even informed me about their happy hours and rewards program!!! Saved me 10% off of my order which at regular price was a great deal to begin with!!!! So glad I didn't pay attention to the previous yelp reviews and came in to experience it myself!!! If I lived in the area, this would be my #1 go to!!!! I would absolutely recommend checking this place out for yourself!!! They have such a huge selection of everything, so no matter what you prefer, they've got you covered!

Service is good, can't stack my Disabled Veteran discount anymore. I got seeds in some Seattle Private Reserve Banana Punch, which I wasn't happy about. Since it's taxed and I only bought a gram those seeds are taking away from what I am paying for. Not CBC fault but maybe pay attention to some growers batches so this don't happen.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The budtenders are there to genuinely get you the right product at an outstanding price. I have spent so much time and money here and only ever had 1 uncomfortable experience, and that person doesn't even work there anymore. Everyone is helpful and stoked and it's just such a good vibe when you walk in the door. The Tacoma location is AWFUL. The vibe is sterile, unwelcoming, and it's ridiculous to find what you need. Fife is by far the best place to pick up, and the only place I ever go.

I've been a customer at commencement bay for over three years but I will never go back after today. They are now selling products that don't work and refuse to give you a refund or even do an exchange. It is so unethical. I will sadly not shop here again because the CBC brand battery I purchased broke the SAME DAY, and after going in the next morning with RECEIPT AND ORIGINAL PACKAGING they were so rude to me and said there's nothing they can do. When I purchased the battery YESTERDAY the worker told me that the return policy was to bring receipt and original packaging. Clearly that is not the policy, and I was treated horribly by the manager. I'll be going to the gallery across the street instead. So disappointed at the way I've been treated when I've been a loyal customer for years. Really too bad because I loved this establishment. The worker named Ellie is the only one who consistently treats us with kindness.

Commencement Bay cannabis has some of the better prices in the area but there are a few areas of concern they need to work on.When they first opened they had a rewards program that they stopped honoring because they said they couldn't anymore only to restore it and not honor old saved discounts. While they do often have good sales going on they rarely have the items in stock for long, even on prepared holiday promotions.I have also gone to the store on two separate occasions, one being Memorial Day (today) where I received a text about current sales. I drive to the store and hear that they sent the wrong message and they couldn't honor it because the computers wouldn't let them.While good prices are great i find there are shops within 2 blocks of this place that is more pleasant to work with.

Hate to downgrade to a two stars and it's still a good place to get joint and flower. Especially black cherry soda. I'll throw up some photos of what I got. Thanks again for the goods!Still have to give two stars not for customer service ultimately, but for the weed itself.The customer service has went downhill and they seem to care about profits, tips, and not the customers needs and wants. Sorry again but next time be professional when it comes to intoxicating products.

Now this dispensary is right off of I-5 heading towards Tacoma and man, I've been going here since I turned 21 and I've never received the wonderful customer service I've received today since i came in on my birthday.There's this employee that has been there every since they've opened the store (Forgot her name) but she's an older black lady. Treated me like I was family and helped me get what I came in for but as well as giving the discounts I was qualified for. If you ever happen to go to this place to purchase anything look out for her‼‼

Horrible budtenders. They will sell you shit products. Regulators is pure Trash! Don't bother. The people checking your ids are the chill ones and the bud tenders are just off and uneducated. you won't get help here they just want to push and sell bs products. Zips is where it's at. a big fat no thanks.

Amazing products and service.  As an  IL resident though I was most excited to learn about the Pax product taking a page from Apple by creating the first integrated hardware and software, of, vape and cannabis. Being able to adjust the temp, pull rate and dosages per pull, not to mention it automatically identifies the strain and all that's within the strain.  then terribly disappointed that to learn Apple, of all corporations, ban / censor!  Banning the app bc of vape problems, when, If anything, if you actually care about safety you'd support the ONLY vape that's designed to work with its weed.  Hypocritical

First off as I was waiting for the line to go down and not to mention I had driven from Everett so when I stopped I was grateful! The security guard on duty was an A**hole asking what I was doing like I was coasting the joint...felt very disappointed for sure!!!

Best spot around. Haven't been anywhere that can match the prices. Always friendly and helpful.

Overall this place is just lame. From the "security" dudes to the unenthusiastic cashiers, I mean budtenders. Not all, but the majority of people employeed here just have crap attitudes and seem so annoyed when you have questions . Also seems that when you find a product you enjoy, they can't seem to keep it in stock. Lastly, double check your order as I've received the wrong pre-rolls on multiple occasions. Nothing like an uplifting sativa when you want a couch lock high.  Go elsewhere.

This place offers great stuff for a good price. Everyone is friendly and super knowledgeable. I can't wait until the Tacoma location opens.

Beautiful inside, friendly staff, Mama K helped me out and she was as sweet as sugar, I loved her! She was experienced and knew about her product. 10/10 would recommend!

Id rather go downtown to urban bud or world of weed. Very rude people. Never know what theyre talking about.  I asked for something with an edge and they recommended some candyland and purple punch or something. I swear it tastes like burnt plastic. And yet it wasnt very crisp and wouldnt burn right. Waste of my money honestly Besides they just lost the best worker ever since they decided to wrongfully acuse the woman when stupid workers cant even lock a door. Shes the reason i kept going theyre even though they suck. So there is OUR business.as long as beanies not there!NO THANK YOU!!Btw when i stopped by one day, a crackhead came up askin for money and a woman was yelling at a baby in the backseat of her car. Perfect in every way ,from the weed pov... The prices are tax inclusive and on the low low always! Location is great! Im from Dash Point and I was praying for this store. God answered my prayers with the C.B.C..... Hallelujah The vibe is amazing!!!! Im wishing for a loyalty program

I was overcharged and promised a refund, when I went to the store they would only let me use the refund as a discount (which I already had discounts) refund the money you stole from me!! Theives!! I will never go here again

I used to love this place until they started being really unfair with their return policy. It was my first time wanting to fill my reusable cartridge, and my friend was visiting from out of state, so we decided to hit this place up for some goods. They had two syringes. I was eyeing one of them, but the budtender told me to go with the other brand since you don't need any applicators and it's ready/ easy to use. Well i tried filling it and opened it for the first time today to find that it didn't even have a needle or anything else on the end of it.The oil spilled everywhereWhen i called to complain about it, they just told me not to take other people's recommendations and there's nothing else they can do.This was freaking $$$. That's some shady shit. I can't even use this.I'm not happy.

Been having chronic pain and was looking into the cannabis rout i ended up just going with nerve blockers since it was the more affordable option for me. However i do recommend thos store overvthe gallery its less costly and the employees are nicer

Friendly service, large selection. Not a fan of the menu cycling on the tv's over head though. I always seem to miss the screen with the products that interest me or I don't have enough time to look at all the strains & pricing before it changes. Several printed out booklets available to flip through plus a large board behind the staff works best, in my opinion. Pricing is similar to other stores but the 10% Tribal discount is sweet!

Clean and friendly store. Great parking and right off I-5. Their staff is knowledgeable and you feel no pressure. Great selection as well.

As a reporter, I've interviewed a lot of customers who shop Commencement Bay Cannabis for products and I went there when Cheech and Chong were in town for their Emerald Queen Casino show. I have to say this is probably one of the biggest, cleanest and friendliest shops I've ever been inside and I've been writing about the legalities of Cannabis for a matter of years now. The regulars I interviewed all said they loved this store for its knowledgeable and incredibly helpful budtenders and for great prices. Anyone who shops here is bound to feel very grateful for the awesome dispensary it truly is. In addition to top grade Cannabis, also look for new glass pipes, bongs, hookahs and other paraphernalia here. (Note: I did not see any vintage metal or wooden accessories).

Never going to anywhere else if you are seeking very insightful bud tenders and a very wide array of products is the best idea. Clean and the environment is perfect for the day off or the end of a long day, even if you're just waiting on a car service you're having done right down from the Emerald Queens. They opened up recently (February I believe) but they aren't too brand new looking to not be quality service providers. Tribal and better than anywhere else near downtown Tacoma if you don't feel like going anywhere too close to the hustle ave I call it. ( Pacific Ave)

Had to buy a new vape pen so stopped here to get one. The girl got me one I was skeptical about in the first place but apparently it was the only one available so I got it anyway with a new cartridge as well. Get home and charge the pen just to find out that the cartridge the girl gave me wasn't compatible with the pen but she should've known that and gave me a different one. Lack of inventory knowledge has lead to unsatisfied customer.

Pretty neat shop about 3 or so miles from home. Selection is pretty good, staff are friendly and helpful. They have HH's everyday I believe, where you can get some deals of the day. Overall, I'd come back here.

They have alot of friendly budtenders and great quality but there is one budtender to stay away from...Marcus (has dreads) .claims hes a manager but hes not hes actually one of their newer employees and doesnt know shit about oil..

Great Store. Clean. Not Trashy at all. Great selection. They also take Vertical IDs so if thats a problem at other stores, it won't be a problem here. My problem with this store is like the other reviewer said, that the tv screen switches to the next menu items. I understand that there is a wide selection but only giving about 3 seconds is not enough time for me to check the entire list.Other than that, great store and fair prices.

Every time I have gone here it has been a good experience. The budtenders are very knowledgeable and are very patient with even a newbie like me. Would totally recommend. Plus where can you go wrong with getting 20% off during happy hour.

This is my go to shop, I was surprised by all the negative reviews! I just turned 21 recently so this has been my first experience buying in a dispensary. The atmosphere really put me at ease as I have anxiety problems (why I smoke weed). I was worried that they wouldn't take my vertical ID or they would think I was stupid because I had no idea what I was doing. They didn't even question the vertical ID, I told them it was my first time and the security guard welcomed me and explained to me where to go and what to do, that the shop only takes cash. I didn't have to wait in line very long and the bud tender was very helpful in asking me questions to figure out what kind of strains would work best for me, and he even hooked me up with some yummy edibles I wanted to try! Overall he seemed excited to recommend different products and help me out. It was a great first experience and I actually had a lot of fun learning about different strains and checking out the very large selection of products. Prices are awesome! They even asked me what my budget was and I got 2 different strains, a pack of chocolates and a pre roll for under 40 dollars! I've gone back a couple other times and each time I had a great experience. I haven't gone to any other dispensary's but I don't really feel the need to! 100% recommend this shop.

Decent selection, but absolutely terrible service. They are more about shuffling you through the line and out the door, rather than answering questions and making sure that you have a positive experience. I have been to quite a few shops now, and this one was by far the worst. I will drive the extra 15 miles to go to Have a Heart.

I Love the Bud Tenders they are knowledgeable and super friendly I've never had a rude one. They know the best brands and I've never been disappointed. Then there is the Rude Ass Security staff, it only takes a few Bad Apples I've been in Law Enforcement all my Adult life and I know Unprofessional conduct. Talking and Laughing about customers. Some won't speak to you unless they deem you worthy. They act more like their working in a Crack house and not a legal establishment. I don't know these clowns from Adam, but to openly disrespect a Customer is just Bad Business. I like the spot, but I just buy weed there. I mean me and my crew can find a spot were your treated like customers instead of Convicts or Hypes. I recommend some kind of training because they clearly need it. Their rudeness messes up the whole customer service experience and I'm sure if you confront them then your wrong. Management will always side with the employee. In Short Get Professional Security Staff it will save you from liability later.

If you are an elderly person with health conditionsThis is not a place you want to shop. No one in the shop including the man greeting at the door were wearing a mask. I don't think they are aware of how irresponsible that is. They just don't care about their customers.

Eveything was clean and budtenders are great! However. I purchased 2 half ounce small buds from a brand called cascade crest cannabis. I make my own cannabutter so correct weight is everything for dosing correctly. Both times each half ounce only weighed out to 13.75g. Not a true 14g. False advertising. Packages are open and they have the covid19 precautions of no returns so nothing I can do about it except caution others against this brand. Customer service was A+ though

Another stop to reload before a 1.5 week trip.  Prices are decent.  Selection was slim today, but was informed they were waiting on a shipment.Budtender was ok.  Not the engaging ones they usually have, but she knew her products.Cant ever go wrong in here.

I have been coming to Commencement Bay in Fife not long after it opened up and have received excellent product until my last couple of visits.I was not pleased whenever I opened a jar of what should've been fresh product but was crumbly and turned into powder! I use a portable vaporizer to consume so it was worthless to me. I also had purchased other varieties and they were good. The next visit was yesterday.  I purchased 3 different varieties and one of those did the very same thing!   I come to CBC quite often at least every 6 weeks or so and I have thought about going to Gallery but can't seem to want to shop any place else. There are no refunds or exchanges of product so I am left with old product and wasted $Other than that I am hoping that things are better the next time!

These people are great! For all you 'seasoned smokers,' you get a 10% discount plus 2 'elder' parking places. You earn points which you can apply as discount and I've many times applied a 25% discount on my purchase. Staff from greeter through purchase are kind, professional and knowledgeable.

I made a preorder and arrived at the store without a mask. I honestly forgot mine when I left, the stores who rigidly enforce the mask policy usually have extras. When I was showing the employee my ID to enter the store he said I'm required to have a face mask, they have extras but they JUST ran out. Well, it's not my problem you ran out of masks. All the same I was kicked out of the store. I have a loyalty account I will be closing with them, I will no longer use this store and instead use the store across the street. DO NOT GO HERE THEY HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I was a regular until today.EDITI ran home and grabbed a mask. By the time I got back they magically had more masks. When I asked where they came from the guy checking IDs got an immediate attitude and said we bought more, when we run out we buy more. I said I was just here 10 minutes ago and you were out. Then he said you need to leave. I told him just check my ID so I can go inside and he did. Serious attitude problem with the staff!

love buying my weed from here, they give great deals and good customer service.  :) but i personally wouldn't use the atm there a $3 charge fee. A mask is required which i love and the bud tenders are always super nice and helpful.

Best dispensary chain in the PNW.Favorite product here is Narrows Half/oz for $45 when they have their weekly sale on flower. Definitely go in and check them out!

Just visited this location on Memorial Day! Had a pleasant experience with the bud tender. I didn't catch their name but I was suggested the Smokey point brand in flower. Lodi dodi was the strain, delicious!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestions!!!

I don't go here often but I've always had a good experience when I do. I was prompted to leave a review today because I received quite exceptional service from Darby. He provided me with a great range of options that fit within my needs and preferences and gave detailed explanations on them all so I could make an informed decision. Most times you walk up to places and they just think you know their job and all this information already so it was refreshing to have this interaction and now I know some options I will have as a go to in the future as well. So huge thanks to Darby- exceptionally great service!

Super friendly! Men are more friendlier than women there & I think they need to learn more about their strains before having to sell them. When I asked about certain strains, they have no clue. I might as well work there since I’m better at describing the strains! Lol

I cant say enough about the wonderful experience I have every time I come through. I have been here hundreds of times and never been disappointed.. Everyone seems to be positive and willing and ready to help. Selection is top notch as well.
