My first Ohio medical marijuana dispensary visit. Reviews tailored to older adults 55+Easy freeway drive to The Botanist from Cleve and northeast Ohio. Keep your eyes open for the slightly set back and small plaza storefront. Ohio is strict about outdoor dispensary signage, The Botanist is as clearly marked as the law allows.Parking is off street directly in front of the entrance. Parking is shared with adjoining businesses, so please heed reserved spaces. Plenty of spaces for all. Handicapped accessible. The front sidewalk was snow free on a slippery day. I've been to this dispensary three times. The patient dispensary agents I've met with have all demonstrated better than average knowledge about the products available. Bonus: first time visitors get to meet privately in a room with a dispensary staff member to ask questions and get recommendations. Casual dressed staff, although one day it was all coats and ties. Don't see that very often. The Botanist has a steady flow of featured supplier sale days. Check the website for sale days from your favorite grower or processor. Spa like decor with glass, wood and greenery. Tiny waiting area but they move you into the shop quickly. Good literature collection. And free pens. The Botanist scores BIG with their menu. In addition to Sativa, indica, hybrid designations, they list the dominant Terpenes in the strain. Makes it easier to select just the right products and profile to treat your MMJ qualified condition. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the absence of older adult dispensary staff members. 25% discount for our veterans (thank you) and indigent patients. Prices are lower than Cleveland city dispensaries (as of today). Worth a drive, or a great choice for your local dispensary.

I believe all medical facilities should perform and have product that is ALWAYS adequate for all there patients. Don't even get me started on pricing. I've never seen such absolute horrible&cheap child proofing(for all products)!I would like to First and foremost give a great thank you to whomever the security dude is at the front with the tattoos. His energy is always great (the 3x I've come in ) 2nd I'd like to just give you guys some words of advise. If a customer comes in with a complaint or constructive criticism..... LISTEN!!! LISTEN !!!! LISTEN!!!!! It's advice for you to discuss with your higher up on how to better your facility. Look at your patients with respect and dignity. Your job is not to prove you are smart about "Weed" it's to pay attention.Let's talk about PRODUCT! Flower, concentrates and syringe/pen atomizers. So the "Botanist" with a name like this you should have the best of the best when it comes to flower ? Yet all the flower I have purchased has all been "Meh" ? They sell cannabis by the 10th and it can very from a 2.8-3.3g now just an example, I purchased a 10th of the grapefruit sour flour they had for sale. It contained about a 3.3 g worth of flour and then I went to another dispensary (A competitor not the same) And purchase the same grapefruit sour (that only contained a 2.8 g) Significantly there were two huge factors one the yield of concentrates that one put off versus the other and two the quality. Now the 3.3 g of grapefruit sour from the botanist yielded about a .6g of rosin and the grapefruit sour from the competitor which had less flour( a 2.8 g ) yielded a .9 of rosin and everything was different texture of concentrate, smell and even the medicinal effects. Anybody would wonder why is my cannabis different if they should both be meeting the standards of medicinal cannabis? It makes one think "Could there could be pesticides, Was it flushed incorrectly or maybe through the curing process Someone cut some corners corners."Unfortunately I could not finish this review I have to go to the dispensary before they close I'll update a little laterUPDATE 10/13/2020So my post has gotten some questions and I'm here to answer publicly. If you have any questions I'm here to answer with the best of my knowledge. I'm not a doctor or physician so everything I write/Answer is just an opinion or a hypothesis of mine.With that being said back to the review. I went back to this facility for my entire prescription( over $1000.00 spent on mediocre (probably not approved by the cdc and fda) cannabis. Also after I had posted my review I figured maybe someone from the Botanist would have conversed with his or her employees how to take customers feed back.        That was not the case because I stepped into this facility after I had asked my bud tender for a recommendation HE HAS HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THAT COULD BE COMPARABLE   TO THE AIROPRO VAPE CARTRAGES? Not one second of hesitation went in his mind and he immediately pointed to this GG Ben leaves cartridge! His body language seemed as if he knew anything and everything about it, but he said I would love it. Mind you the airopro vape carts are 70-60$ never any discounts ! And this Ben leaves product was $40 and tax obviously. I know this is America and you get what you pay for, but I've never in my life of medicating have I ever seen a facility with such disgusting over priced medicine in my life. This BEN LEAves product needs to be banned by the people of Ohio for pesticides, expired glycerin(bonding agent)/wax liqidizer! Please do not invest in a company who is squeezing 3g of flower and selling the .9 of rosin to a investor and then taking that chip(left over almost decarboxylated peace of cannabis) and they extract the left over and make more money by adding that disgusting burnt tasteless medicine inside a cartridge that coast less than .50 to produce GtfoH.

This is a brand new location. There's many layers of security here and you go through many doors before you get to your final destination. Check in is pretty easy. Just make sure you have your OMMC (Ohio medical marijuana card) and it's 100% activated and you have your drivers license on hand. Your OMMC can be scanned conveniently right from their app. Be prepared to dish out the outrageous dough for the "Ohio Tenth" aka 2.83 grams of flower. They are cash only and they do have an ATM on site but fees are hefty. They also offer a 25% Veterans discount. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained things thoroughly to my Mom and I. Everyone's anticipating the new products that are yet to arrive. Mainly the oils and edibles. In the meantime, they do carry a nice enough range of flower, vaping devices and grinders. We'll see how well the flower fares though...if it is indeed dry and seeded as I keep reading in many other reviews on the web. Possible update soon. History in the making!

The women in the back area were super helpful to me as someone who has never had medical MJ before. Overall, nice place with a good vibe.

I enjoy the professionalism of the employees of the botanist. They are hyper focused on delivering a friendly speedy service while ensuring all rules/laws are followed. I’m usually in and out in only a few minutes when I order ahead. Otherwise, the staff gives great recommendations and is willing to explain just about everything pertaining to their industry and service. Bryan (b-no good) helped me most recently and gave me a taste of his lyrical talents. All of the staff are great and I hope to get to talk with more of them!

Shout out to Danny. Great customer service, every single time! Prices are high[er], but their selection is among the best. They have standard security. No complaints here. Give em a try.

Hands down the best dispensary in Cleveland! The staff is so friendly, and knowledgeable about their products. This is literally the only dispensary here I go to here. They're products are always fresh and the staff can answer any questions if you aren't sure about what would work best for your condition. The atmosphere is relaxed too and makes the experience very chill. I love this place and their staff

When I got my card, I really had no idea what to expect and had very little knowledge about medical options and dosing. A friend of mine who also has had her card for a while came with me. The location is convenient, there is great security, the guys in the front checking you in are kind, cool, informative and professional. Class act. First of all the place is beautiful, soothing, and welcoming, taking away any intimidation from you upon entering. We were lucky to have been met with Marina, who spent tons of time with us, we may have been in there for over two hours together learning what was best for us for our conditions and the characteristic tendencies we have that particular medical cannabis can work well with and why. She gave us a thorough education in understanding the methodology, chemistry, and science of all of our options working with us both with care, a superior level of knowledge and professionalism of the therapeutics. I am hugely grateful to her, a huge fan and look forward to seeing her each visit. My friend learned more from Marina that afternoon than she had over the many months spent trying to figure it out on her own with little help from other places. I never feel rushed, questions always welcomed and answered and I find the staff very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Masks on, socially distanced, clean, great availability. I can’t imagine a need to go anywhere else. Thank you thank you!! You’re the best.
