These folks did a great job setting up this store and hiring people. I was spending more money than I initially thought and I asked for a charger for my weed pen, they didn't sell what I needed but one of the employees must have heard, cause he pulled the homie move and grabbed his own charger from the back and gave it to me. Rad move dude, hope your boss sees this and daps you up like I did. Respect, definitely coming back to spend more money now.  I never do these yelp reviews either, s/o my guy with the weed pen charger. Saved me 10 bucks. Boss man, what's this guy's name? The sweet blonde girl was also very helpful, good vibes all around 8.9/10 cause gov weed is expensive.

This is what would happen if Whole Foods opened a dispensary, and had a killer soundtrack by Joni Mitchell.  And an elite team of ninja-bud-tenders ripe with information, and overflowing with spot-on recommendations.Come for the impressive selection of MMJ, including edibles, vape pens, pre-rolls and of course flower.  Stay for the way they make you feel.  They definitely take good care of their clients in the front of the house, and with the bud-tenders as well. While the lines can get snarled, at times, it is worth the wait.  The lobby is sumptuous, and designed immaculately.  I never mind chilling to their music, relaxing in their comfy leather chairs.  No problem for me.This place is the bomb.  What else could you ask for?  (Ok, maybe the return of the ATM card swipe thing)

This place was my first experience with a dispensary and it was great. Waiting room was really nice and staff were really nice. I picked up some Charlottes Web, it's really great for pain relief, it does wonders! Will come back soon

I cannot say enough good things about Big Sur Cannabotanicals. Every time I've been a customer there, I've only ever had a 5 star experience. From the moment you walk in and are greeted to the moment you leave, it's a completely positive experience. The store itself is aesthetically pleasing, well cared for and clean, and the staff are very friendly, very helpful and always seem happy to be there. I have had great shopping experiences with Jimmy as well as Sam and I look forward to my future visits!

First of this place is the definition of peaceful! Big Sur Canna+botanicals is by far one of my favorite dispensaries! The staff and owners are so friendly and helpful with everyone! They have a huge variety of different products whether you are looking for cannabis (flower), concentrates and even vape cartridges! Even my favorite Heavy Hitters, with the high thc percentages and clean taste! Gotta try that tangie! I work in the industry as an event specialist for a distribution company, I come in here pretty often and I've never felt anything but love from these wonderful people!! Anthony is one of the managers and is always flashing is contagious smile!!

Cannabis paradise!This place has it all- flower, extracts, edibles, and more.  Plus, they support local disc golfers!

I really like this store but I give it two stars because their older female ID checker insists on touching my ID every time and every time I tell her I'm seeing my 80 year old mother and then she questions my knowledge of Covid practices with comments like "they're going to touch your weed anyways". Then I get the over sugary sweet send off. I just want to minimize contact and feel like I can visit my mom and didn't risk anything.  Am I wrong to no want to be questioned?

Best Place EVER!!! I've known the owners for years and am Really happy that they opened this place a year ago!!  I suffer from insomnia and so the cbd they carry has saved my life. I was a mess from a lack of sleep and shot nerves.  They have Very friendly @ informative staff.  Anytime I have a question they are always helpful!  I also suffer from Gout and the owner recommended a cbd cream that is Amazing!!!  Recommend All my friends to Big Sur Cannabotanicals!!!  I'm a dedicated client for life!! Would not go anywhere else!!

Absolutely stunned by the vibe and decor of this place, as well as the service. Sam was knowledgeable and helpful. I especially liked the one-on-one in a quiet atmosphere. They have an ATM inside in case you're like me and stumbled upon this place. If I were local, this would be my go-to dispensary.

The few times I've gone I've been greeted and served by Melinda and she was awesome...!! I will come again :))

Wow. This vibe and energy at this place is amazing. The people who work here are excited about their job and enthusiastic about working with patients to figure out what they need for their specific situations. Seems like a great place for first timers and for those who want a new experience. Next level dispensary.

Overpriced, Awkward doormen/check in-weird old lady who can't retire has an odd presence here. Most products are over priced and not A Grade quality..the bud...THE BUD IS FUCKING HORRIBLE...Peace

I've been to more than a few dispensaries and BSCB is top notch. Clean classy vibe. Friendly professional staff. Knowledgeable caring friends who take the extra time to ensure you get the product that best suits your needs! Great top shelf medicine. Good daily specials. What more can I say? First rate. Business is set in a quiet and secure area of the shopping center of town. Plenty of parking too! Exterior is amazing but when you walk in, the lobby is huge yet relaxing. Receiving staff is extremely helpful and friendly. If you think the lobby is awesome, wait until it is your turn to enter the medicine dispensary area. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness, well organized display area. The medicines are secure in their cases yet fully visible for patients to see. The staff, is super knowledgeable and extremely helpful in getting you to the correct medicine. They will answer your questions, field your concerns, help you get dialed as to a remedy for your particular situation and are in no way pushy or rude. I have been waiting for this business to open a storefront for a while, as they were previously situated as a delivery service only. They carry the medicines I require and that I must use, which are now available to me. IMust drive an hour to get to this business but it is well worth the drive. Cost is extremely comparable to the other dispensaries in our area. Contact them for more information on discounts. I am a military veteran and I was signed up to get my Veterans Discount. If you are an MMJ patient, get in to this place soon, and you shall not be sorry.

Visited that place first time during road trip. The most interesting and helpful explanation about the stuff from incredibly pretty cashier. Price was also sweet. Will come again 100% ! Thanks for bonus! (paper, lighter and nice jar)

I really love this place. There is no pressure. They're very helpful. The waiting room although the wait is short is a very comfortable place to be. I enjoy this Superior knowledge of those who helped me once I'm inside the great doors. I bet the other collectives but I've never felt so welcomed at home and less pressured as I have been here. They have to go to place on the Monterey Peninsula look for me.

Some staff make you feel dumb b/c of  their weed education. Almost like they are looking down on you  for not knowing. Not nice. Didn't even get a thank you. Won't be back.

This was my second time going into Big Sur Canna Botanicals. The customer service is amazing. They go above and beyond to find the right product for you. Always friendly/smiling faces. It is a very welcoming environment. I have purchased "Papa & Barkley" CBD relief tincture for the second time. This has helped my sleep, pain, and anxiety. I am off all anxiety medication. I highly recommend this place and product!! I will try "Kikoko" tea very soon. Review coming soon :)

Purchased a cream for my back here. Clean store with very knowledgeable staff who helped me choose the best product for pain managment. They  were friendly and professional.

We were really excited to come here. The foyer and actual store are very nice, quiet and relaxing. The staff in the front is very friendly and low key. Unfortunately we ended up working with a young woman who did not seem to have any knowledge about the products she was selling. We came looking for seeds and started asking questions about which would grow the best indica. She had no idea and started reading to us from a wrinkly old printout. One by one, I had to ask about each of the six or so products individually because she could not provide a summary. We moved on to gummies and I noted that a box was labeled kosher, which I found interesting. She told me it was kosher because it was blessed by a rabbi, not because it didn't have pork gelatin. Of course, this is the textbook definition of not kosher. We made some small purchases and are taking the bulk of our business further north.

The website is useless.If you want to have an order ready for you, you have to call.Almost always. It's lame.

This place is great. Great selection and no pressure. They have a wide variety of cannabis products, even stuff for your pets. I will be coming back.

I have only dealt with one staff member and he seemed very unknowledgeable when it came to the products they are selling. I may not be that knowledgeable of strains and the effects of the products you are selling, but I do know what I want and don't want. My questions were clear but he seemed confused.

It's been a good while since I've felt like I just had to leave a review as soon as leaving a spot. This is by far the best dispensary in the area I have been to. It's situated in the Barnyard shopping area in Carmel with ample parking spots (and the shopping area is super cute with food and a variety of stores by: perfect spot). It's really welcoming, with a cozy waiting room and lots of flyers of info on the tables (and stickers!). The people here are lovely, all of them are so kind and informative. They take your time with you and give awesome suggestions. I appreciate how the focus is totally on you, they let in a few people at a time and it's all about your needs. And they honestly have everything you could imagine, so you'll definitely find something to your liking here as well as some new things. Really awesome vape section and edibles. There's deals each day of week, and a student discount! I thought they wouldn't add on multiple discounts but they did, so I got 20% off with the student discount and the new member one combined. I don't know if they combine with the day of the week offers, but if they do that's a great deal you just can't pass up. This is the first dispensary I've been to that genuinely cared about the money I was willing to spend and shown a lot of products in my price range. I'm only coming down here for all my needs now, it's a bit of a drive but it's 100% worth it. I highly suggest Cannabotanicals. I'm upset I didn't get the name of the man who helped me today, but once I do I'll be sure to post. He was incredibly helpful and informative, I really felt at home here!

COMPLETE RIP OFF. We are relatively knowledgeable consumers due to frequenting dispensaries in northern and Southern California for medicinal purposes. When we let the guy helping us know that they were overcharging on a product by about $20-30 all they said was "taxes."  Um no. We aren't dumb. Also, staff needs to be trained and educated on strains, ratios, and the terpene breakdown to adequately help people who aren't just looking to get high. If you want to charge higher prices, then provide knowledgeable customer service and education to justify. Boooo.

After losing my first vape pen (LOL wonder how that happened!) I stopped in here because it was close and highly rated. Since they let only a handful of people into the bud room at one time, service is totally focused on you, the customer. Although I'm a long-time smoker (50+ years) I learned a bit, and also got to try the legendary Northern Lights, a strain I had long heard of but had never tried. 10/10, would shop here again.

Great products to choose from. Clerks are very knowledgeable  about all their products.  Go online and place your order. Drive up and its ready. Steady customer  for 6 months. Getting great pain relief  from their  non THC products!

Nice facility , but failed to mention or give purported 10%  "Senior discount", notwithstanding elaborate check- in procedure, requiring proof of age.

As a reluctant older guy, it felt strange to accept the concept of walking into a legal marijuana store. Whatever your conception of this "kind" of place, this is not it. First of all, it's in an upscale shopping center just off Pacific Coast Highway. Second, you'll feel like you are walking into a luxurious spa. Beautiful reception area and a welcoming greeter await you. Third, it's hard to believe that as a child of the 70s, I was the youngest client. An 80 year old couple, 2 senior citizens who looked like they had just finished golfing and a Vietnam War Veteran were all purchasing. At that point, I felt like a kid going to a candy store. I left with some chocolate covered blueberries which are sleep aids and some ointment for my arthritis. Next time, maybe a pre-roll. Staff was also fantastic.

Sam the MAN!!! So professional and knowledgeable.  I use CBD oils and flower for different issues the aging process seems to bring my way.  I needed some advice on dosage and product for a new issue and Sam was so helpful.  Sam explained the difference in dosage, strain and product in a very professional, clear and understanding way.  I truly appreciate his patience with me and that smile is so contagious! I am thankful to Big Sur Cannabotanicals for hiring knowledgeable staff that illuminates the professional atmosphere of your shop!  I will be back and support the good of plant based medicine.

My favorite place to go in Carmel! Not only is their staff friendly and knowledgeable, it's beautifully decorated and had the essence of a hip upscale spa. The "patients" that were there were like normal adults you'd see taking their daily walk around the point. I was afraid, as this was my first time making a purchase for medical marijuana. But they made me super comfortable and at ease with the whole process. I would encourage newbies to start their journey here, they will surely wonder why they waited so long.

Great dispensary! They are ground breaking in a very up tight area. I appreciate their determination to open and serve the community here. Their prices are on par with other local dispensaries. Unpleasant experience buying here. The staff members were very unfriendly and pretentious. We did not feel welcome the moment we walked in the door. You would think it would be their goal to make their customers feel comfortable when buying their products.

Nice place to came and find the right remedy for what ails you. The folks are warm and professional. Plenty of merchandise, depending on your need.

All time knowledge and friendly staff!  It was my first time at this location and I found my new spot. I highly recommend the Heavy Hitters products. Either the delicious vape cartridges or the potent glass dabbers or better yet, BOTH ......Clean and clear distillate is on tap at Big Sur. So what are you waiting for?!?! We were vacationing in Carmel & forgot to pact our eatables, so went looking for a local dispensary. We happened to be in the Barnyard shopping area & noticed this place as we were driving out of the parking lot. What a great find! Staff was friendly & helpful, modern, well organized place with plenty of Cannabis choices. We like eatables, so I can't speak for the bud they sell, but the eatables were great! The prices were a few dollars more, but everything in Carmel is a few dollars more. They offer discounts for vets, teachers, etc, so that was a bonus. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

I return to the shop today the energy was amazing like usual and it's a beautiful shop so you always feel comfortable! The have atm inside The thing that I like is after each time the ATM is touched and employee wipes are down. The young lady that helped me today what is extremely knowledgeable on her products and I couldn't be more happy with the product she suggested! I unfortunately did not catch her name but for the most part all of the associates have been very nice. I did have an issue with a product the previous time I went and after explaining it to the employees she talk to her manager and then came out and apologized and expressed they are no longer carrying the product and offered me a small discount for the inconvenience which I highly appreciated!

...when in California, right? The reports you have heard are true. It's like an Apple store for weed. Professionally run, having a strong customer service vibe, knowledgeable "hosts" to walk you through the products (several of which seemed super high, but not all). And SO MANY products to digest, each having it's own effect and potency. I'm no weed guy. Beer is more my thing. I decided to go for a single cookie with 10 mg THC and ate it a nibble at a time just to make sure I didn't get into something unexpected. Effect-wise, I felt mainly chill and relaxed with a bit of numbing/tingling in my arms as I dozed off. Experienced MJ peeps will recognize my GLARING noobness and hopefully regard me with an affectionate "isn't that cute" side-glance. I was definitely in over my head with all the options.Want to enhance creativity? Giggle? Reduce pain or paranoia? If you're like me you will need some hand-holding to navigate the maze of it all. Did you know that Lagunitas has a special Weed-Beer (pun intended)? Yes, they sell it there. Skin creams, too. And, vape pens. If you can put THC in it, they sell it. And of course, straight bud if that's your thing. The vibe here was really nice, I hafta admit. The folks who work here feel like the ones you kinda wanna hang out with for fun. It seems inevitable that the states will fall like dominoes in favor of this market. One of my takeaways was that the place felt very much nicer than the average neighborhood liquor store. My first impression was very good!

Three stars, would be two but Alex gets a star of his own!Front staff is disorganized and firm, boarder line rude! The checking process was okay but took a while. Once we got inside snd started working with Alex, he was knowledgeable, hospitable and personable. Through explanation of choices and we found ex's rly what I was looking for. We went to leave and found a couple of sweatshirts we really liked. When we took them to the front the cashier barked at us that the area was restricted buuuuuut didn't tell us where to go. Finally after back and forth with another employee, we were sent back to Alex, thank god! Again, in and and ready.Finally we were able to get out of there. If you can get past the delayed and rude front staff, ask for Alex, he's awesome.

Going to give them another shot 9 months later. Entirely new faces I've never seen but I haven't been there for 9 months. Even the bouncer is new. The staff is pleasant but it's such a weird experience.

This dispensary is teeming with personnel who are rude and not at all helpful.  I stopped going about a year ago, but, I was 'in the neighborhood' and dropped by at about 3 PM on a Thursday.I left after being hassled by a female employee -I was afraid I would turn into a "Karen" if I stayed another moment.Too many other uber-friendly, knowledgable staff elsewhere.
