My 3-year old son was diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer (Medulloblastoma) in September 2018. I felt the need to do something to help my son, so I investigated medical marijuana for adjunct therapy as he was beginning chemo in hopes it would not only help reduce the side effects of high dose chemotherapy, but also induce cancer cell apoptosis (neurosurgeon was able to remove majority of the baseball size tumor, but some left on his brain stem and cancer nodes in his lower spine). I spent hours researching dispensaries so I would be prepared to specify which one on the medical card application. We are very happy that we chose EarthMed as our dispensary. They have been an invaluable source of information, guidance and support throughout what has been an incredibly intense 8 months. The medical marijuana doctors provided their signatures for the application and told me cannabis oil would help my son, but not much else. So, (before I met Paula and Trevor with EarthMed) I consulted with cannabis pediatric nurses in California and Realm of Caring consultants out of Denver. When I explained to them the input provided by EarthMed, all sources I consulted with said "if you have a dispensary that is providing that level of knowledge and support, then continue with what your dispensary is guiding you with" as my son's health/side effects/scans continued to progress in the right direction with positive results. I touched base with Trevor on a regular basis regarding my son's side effects, reactions to the chemo and cannabis oil. Trevor provided input on tweaks to make with my son's cannabis therapy to address the symptoms he was experiencing - from pain, to vomiting, poor sleep, lack of appetite, it was a rollercoaster of side effects that Trevor helped us with. EarthMed has been an integral part of my son's medical and therapeutic support through his cancer treatment. And I am happy to say my son has successfully completed chemo and requires no further treatment or radiation as of his last MRI's. Thank you Trevor, Paula and EarthMed. I am forever grateful for what you've done for my son.
A medIcal patient for 2 years plus at this dispensary only. Able to purchase whatever I wanted in flower ever week up to my max. No recreational, nothing, not even an eight for a patient of well over 2 years?Nothing. Disgusting when many other medical dispensaries have plenty flower for patients.Earthmed should be ashamed of themselves.
Went here today after great a few recommendations, and all I can say is they were all right. I had a great experience there I was a lil nervous at first since this is my first time going to a dispensary. Everyone there was very helpful and wonderful, they have a huge selection, I got blown away with all the different brands and different types of meds, different strains etc. It is very easy to get carried away since there are so many choices. Im glad I went here and can't wait to keep going back
I am still in tears in the parking lot while having to write a review I shouldn't have to write. Never in my life have I been treated so badly by a MEDICAL budtender. I have epilepsy and quite severe anxiety and I asked the budtender (skinny girl, brown hair, silver septum piercing) if she knew what was higher on the THC side for the Joos .3 Disposables and Verano .5 cartridges. Her response was "no" with the eye roll and the 'are you kidding me' attitude. I looked confused and asked why and she said because she "would have to look". Anxiety set in- that is the whole reason I asked her for help in the first place. I tried to stay calm and after me taking five minutes and her standing there looking at me like I was an alien I got a little flustered. She asked me "well what do you even want" and I told her I'd just take the Pineapple Express Joos and I was still looking for a cart. She visibly annoyed, started talking to the customer and budtender next to me. By the time I was halfway close to making a decision she started to get agressive and gaslight to the point of making me actually cry in public. She insisted she was helpful, she wasn't. She insisted she was nice, she wasn't. I'm sure she's super pleased she didn't have to look anything up, and got to chat with the guy next to me instead of being a helpful medical budtender. I am sufficiently mortified, more anxious than I started and super not about companies who employ bullies.
From parking lot to check out it's all enjoyable very informative and kind and courteous very compassionate and that the environment gives off a super positive and enjoyable feeling!
80 for an eighth. 440 for popcorn ounce when last year it was 250. Hopefully they go out of business soon. Criminals
Called on 12/22 to inquire about holiday hours, they told me open normal hours christmas eve and closed christmas day. Went at 6pm christmas eve and they were CLOSED two hours earlier than usual. Do not appreciate being lied to and having christmas ruined. Changing providers ASAP
Best dispensary I've been to! Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the project, good variety as well. I've gone 3 times and have absolutely zero complaints. When I've gone, since in quarantine, we've had to usually wait outside- but the line goes so fast! You're given a menu while waiting and can get questions answered during that time. The whole transaction process is quick and seamless.
They always have a great selection of products! I've also received great recommendations by the employees there. What I like about this place is the taxes are included in their prices. So what you see on the paper is what it will be. It's also open late and all week long!
Earthmed has a great selection of product - Probably more than any other dispensary I have gone to. I would, however, recommend the following: 1. If you do not have enough money to buy your product, please see the manager. She will sneak you in as a patient on disability or a veteran. You will then get 10% every purchase....and you do not even need to be a veteran or have a disability! They only ask that you keep quiet and do not repeat it. 2. If you are running low on your allotment please bring in a friend. They will let you take from someone else's allotment...They just ask that you keep quiet. :)3. If you do not have a friend, please visit one of the budtenders, specifically the boys as they will actually give you some of their allotment, if they can. 4. Speaking of number 3, this brings me to #4. The budtenders are so friendly with each other that they all share each others allotment. If one runs out, no worries! The boys will let you use his! The manager is completely fine with it all! She has not a problem at all! it's like free range!5. Ever wonder why you never get huge buds in your ounces? Well, it's because the budtenders will shake every container to listen for the ones that sounds like it has big buds. They then put it aside and hide it from the patients. 6. Defective products at the dispensary are not discarded ever! There is a blind spot in the back that is away from the state cameras! Budtenders take turns on who gets to take the "defective" products home! Zero Waste!7. If you need to medicate while you are there, you may do so in the back. Yes, you are not suppose to, but Earthmed really cares about making sure their patients are fine. The laws do not matter to them.8. Finally, although this is not the best part of Earthmed, please be careful of the front door "Security Guard". He enjoys being sexual with you, making inappropriate comments about your body parts. He will lock you out of the building in the snow because he thinks it is funny. If you have a nice butt he will tell you. He will also chase you to the car. According to the manager there, he has mental issues which cause him not to act right. Unfortunately, I had to file a complaint about him, which resulted in them banning me from the dispensary, but keeping the mentally unstable security guard that sexually harass their patients. Please note, another customer also submitted the same complaint on the doorman! I recommend being cautious because Earthmed approves of inappropiate behavior therefore they will never let him go...they will just ban you, the medical patient from the dispensary. I have attached the email from the general manager, about the incident. I have also attached the email from Earthmed (too scared to even put a name down) about banning me. Enjoy your meds!
despite what the "one review Blake" slanderously and possibly illegal review says about this place, it just isnt true! I have been going to EarthMed for almost a year. Top notch people run this place, I dont live near this place either, but I travel a long way to get here because so far after many visits here, the staff remains friendly, professional, kind and considerate. The prices here are reasonable and they have a lot of specials. If there was a 6 stars, EarthMed would get one from me.
GREAT job and great service. They gave great advice to obtain our card. We then went into the store. Cute hot latin guy helped educated us about the entire menu. He was knowledgeable and we actually had a good time learning about holistic methods to heal. We even got a free joint for being a new customer!! Cash only
Earth med is a compassionate cannabis dispensary. It is located in an industrial park in Addison. I I went to this dispensary the first day that cannabis was legal to purchase in Illinois on November 9th. The staff was very friendly everybody from the security guard that was there to the receptionist we're all very helpful and accommodating. I walk with a cane and the owner was outside and saw me and told me to park right next door to the entrance which was very nice. I will definitely be going back there and would recommend it to anybody that has a cannabis card and lives in the western suburbs.
I've had a good experience with the employees here who are always around to answer questions about products. Sadly the products are insanely expensive and I've gotten edibles that are completely defective. I understand they aren't able to process a return, but even speaking to someone about it I was invalidated because they apparently "work great" for someone else. I know different strains effect people differently depending on the person, but my friend who came with me tried some as well and they didn't work at all for her either. Also, seemingly didn't work for anyone online as they have multiple 1 star ratings with the same complaints. I decided to give earthmed another chance but seeing as they're charging $30 for a pre-rolled joint? That's absolutely insane. Not sure if they make the prices, but I'm super disappointed and expected more since there was a decent amount of time to prepare for recreational sales. Not sure if I'll be back, but I appreciate most of the employees for being kind and helpful.
I have been going here since I got my card. Only a couple hundred of us patients. Paula was one of the good people everyone loved. Four years later, those few loyal patients are nothing but dollar signs. Too busy to talk and explain the trouble with their order app. Hundreds are now in line and those of us from the beginning are just stepping stones on the road to the bank. I would prefer my loyalty points to be in kindness and compassion and not money back. When I voiced my opinion, Jack threatened to revoke my CARD and have me arrested. Good luck. Enjoy the wait and there are has to be some one out there who really is compassionate and cares.
Really creepy vibe in this place. Employees we clueless when I was asking questions. They immediately gave me a long questionnaire that "had" to be filled out. No thanks. Glad I didn't sign up to be a client here. And why the heck does it look like a currency exchange?
This review is for the recreational side. I'm only giving two stars because the product I received was as expected and the lines, while long, move surprisingly fast compared to the other rec dispensary's. Other than that this place is an epic fail when it comes to recreational as this place runs right now. I totally get all the shortages happening but this place has a extremely tiny rec menu compared to all the other places I've purchased from. What makes it worse is there is no rec menu posted anywhere online. So you could drive far to get here only to wait in a hour maybe two hour line and then when you finally find your self inside with a menu you might find that they are out of what you wanted or the menu is so small they might not have anything you wanted in the first place. Just please post a menu online so people have an idea what they are getting into. Its only common courtesy to do so. But where this place fails more than any other is their pricing methods. I COMPLETELY understand how no matter where you go for rec everything is pricey and the taxes are out of the establishments control. But this place is blatantly overcharging compared to the competition. When you walk in they'll tell you " we like to be transparent here, no surprises, so our menu prices are listed with the tax factored in to make it easier for you". Sounds harmless enough right? Wrong. Once you calculate the taxes on your own as well as shop around at other dispensaries you'll find that you are being overcharged on every item. 500 mg vape cart at Earthmed is 85$ with tax. Exact same product is 70$-75$ with tax at all other dispensaries. 1 gram of Ray Charles diamond and sauce concentrate is 150$ with tax here and between 130$-135$ with tax at the competition. Until this place offers a online menu and decreases prices to make them in line with the competition I do not plan on returning when there are so many better options at this point.
They have a fabulous variety of goodies. Great sales with the best prices in the area. I've been shopping here since they opened when there were only 2 choices in a 50 mile radius of my home. Now there are 5 in a 5 mile radius of my home one is even in walking distance but I still go to Earthmed. Hey if it ain't broke why fix it. I'm in my late 50's and since they opened I'm taking 450 less pain pills a month.
I was there yesterday to but Cannabis oil for my son. I am disgusted with them amd their service. First of all I had to figure out how to cure my son. They short change you so watch your money. Then when you tell them one chick says yes the drawer is over. They need to see the cameras. Then the other dude says you know what you are a problem we don't want your business. Like what you all suck and don't really know shit but how to rob and sell all kinds of shit that beats the purpose of going green. Fucking pathetic DEPLORABLES you all SUCK ASS!!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY! I AM REPORTING YOU. LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB. You got a star because it makes me give you one but you deserve Shit!

Best dispensary in my area, been to 3c, the clinic mundelien, mindfull and Earthmed is the best by far, Best selection, best prices and the most variety which is most important to me. Nicest people too, Rachel and Paula are super nice.

The only problem I have at this place is choosing what I'm going to get. The staff is great and I even see the owner once in awhile. It's nice to have the owner of a place ask you how your doing with everything. I had one small problem and as soon as I brought it to the staffs attention it was solved automatically.
EarthMed exemplifies the Gold Standard for a medical cannabis dispensary. Every one of their staff members are knowledgeable, courteous and always eager to assist. The facility is clean, inviting and great place to meet and converse with other patients. The menu is enormous and ever changing. These guys take pride in their business and are positioned well for eventual passing of recreational cannabis legislation here in Illinois. EarthMed for life!

Ugh. This was a great dispensary before they legalized marijuana. I have had my medical card for a while and getting flower was never an issue. Come closer to the end of the year they started rationing out flower and vape pens. Now into mid January, they have been very strict with what you can purchase, yes, even for medical users!! They have been out of stock on 60% of their inventory!!! That's just sad!I went again today just to see what they have. Again, barely any luck. Because all these ppl who don't have medical cards buy out the whole dispensary and leave nothing for the medical card users. (The dispensary also is at fault. Ok and the government too, for not allowing a certain amount of inventory. What, they expect to feed the whole state with one dispensary?!) So I made the switch to a different dispensary today. And hopefully earth med will continue to ration out the weed to these recreational users. I will be taking my business else where.

100% overpriced. I bought a $55 300mg disposable pen from these chumps for the second time, and they were both already opened and smoked before. I'm from SoCal, I've been doing this for a minute now. I know the employees are back there getting stoned, but have some integrity.
I frequently come to this location and have always had excellent customer service...except for today. This girl was so impatient and RUDE! Shaking her head me when I changed my mind n the product I wanted. I told her it was too bad she wasn't nice because I ALWAYS TIP and I tip good! She waived her fingers as if to say "keep on going". Insult to injury. I left nothing for her. Hopefully the manager talks to her as I did have a conversation with him and he said he would. Happens again it's no problem for me to ride out to Aurora or get my goods from my buddies and pay half the price with no tax. I come for convenience but if my patronage's not respected, for
AMAZING EXPERIENCE. I'm from the city and dispensaries are a very informal process - make an appointment and an online order, show up, pay, and take your order. There's nothing wrong with this system given Covid-19, but it's far from convenient. While visiting my mom in the suburbs, we hit up EarthMed and I am ever so glad we did. Maybe the suburbs are different, maybe it's just EarthMed, but I had quite the time with the staff. The line is fast moving and they take covid-19 precautions. They offer a tangible menu in addition to their online list! If you're looking for the right time as a recreational user, EarthMed is one of the best places to stop. They have such a variety of options and you don't need to submit an order beforehand. But besides all of this, they have various valet individuals during this that advise you to park. The current attendee - Anthony - not only gave my mom who was waiting in the car some water and my dog a treat. When I came back, Anthony walked me to my car with an umbrella since it was raining and helped me into my car. I am so beyond pleased with the customer services reps and I highly recommend trying this place out!!!
I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole experience.I want to be fair and note; I visited only a few days after recreational use was make legal. In no way is it EarthMeds fault for shortage or long lines. This is also the first dispensary I have ever been to, so the only thing I can compare it to is my imagination and what I have seen on television.That's being said, after waiting in a line that took about 30-45min, we were handed a menu, that had been updated to reflect items that were no longer available and what was available. We had time to review the menu at the last bit of time in line. Then, much like the DMV, you are pointed to one of the many windows where you speak to the order taker that is like a bank teller, but not in a suit. They go in the back get your order and you're on your way.I thought there was going to be browsing, or items on display or some sort of information on the products. They whole system was weird and not at all like a normal shopping experience. I don't know if this is how they have to do it right now, or if it's just the way they like to. Once I know more I will update this review, but all in all I thought the customer experience kinda sucked.
They do false advertisement when you check the stuff online it says they have a discount. Once you enter the store they will sell it to you at full price. I let it go the first time but this is the 3rd and last time . Really petty !!!

Employees are ALWAYS in a great mood. And if you don't know much about weed, don't worry cause all the employees are very knowledgeable about all the products and strains. They can answer any question you might have.
This is my go to dispensary and has been for many years. The staff are absolutely amazing and answer any questions that you may have and it’s always clean and bright. I highly recommended them!
I have been going to EarthMed for just over 3 years now as a medical patient. Until the recreational started, this was a great dispensary. You could get nearly everything that you would want when you wanted it. Starting on January 1st of 2020 recreational sales started here, The level of service for the medical patients really went down. While you do get access to a separate door, lines and access to what someone call a pitiful parking lot. The parking lot only holds maybe 10 cars on a good day. The decision to sell most products to recreational customers such as concentrates, which Even some medical patients don't need that much, has really infuriated me since it is the only thing that will work for me and is no longer ever available because it's sold out. This coupled with inability to buy more than one gram at a time because they are saving it for the recreational people as well. Hope to see you at MedMen!
Great experience, one of the best dispensaries I've ever been too! That's coming from someone who has been out of state and out of country for recreational cannabis. Both people I encountered (forgive me for not remembering your name) were super chill and had a lot to talk about or show me. Some girl even wrote down my order for me and then the guy at the counter made sure to sign me up for rewards. Even the security guards at each exit were cool and laid back. I'm telling everyone about this place, I'm definitely coming back!
Very friendly and professional staff. My wheelchair bound brother was treated with the utmost respect. The staff member who waited on us was patient, kind and knowledgeable. Our van's battery died and the Security guard used his own car and own battery charger to charge our van. I hope everyone knows that your kindness was felt deeply. Thank you
