Good location, they had a pretty good selection when I went, don't have anything over eighths when I went as a new patient for orientation it was a smooth process every employee was kind and they tried to help as much as possible. You get a 10 % first time customer discount just a heads up if you want to get anything good.

Very disappointing. The people there truly want to help but when we first started going we were given incorrect information and in turn purchased incorrect product.  That only happened once however I have never been able to get the same "medication" each time I've gone.  They make suggestions of what "might" work.  I have finally found what works for me and they never have it in. There's no way to reserve it. You're driving into a bad part of town just to be told what you need is not available. I'm hoping this changes. Otherwise it's back to pharmaceuticals.

First State Compassion Center is First Class.  The staff is so nice and they really know the products.  I have suffered from chronic pain for 17 years and my doctor has prescribed this treatment to help reduce my opioids and give me relief. With the creams and edibles I am finally getting the relief and l am cutting back on the opioids.  Thank You First State and Staff

It was a great experience going to the dispensary. I went in the afternoon and they still had about 6 different eighths. I feel like once Columbia Care opens they will put a little competition on FSCC. I heard you can call the dispensary and see what they have in stock, that works for people who live somewhat close to FSCC.

Update: Sadly, they still run out of things quite a bit. It's basically "first come, first served" which is really crappy for people who don't live close or people who work and can't get to the dispensary until later in the evening. They've been open for almost 2 years and I don't know. I don't want to assume what is happening behind the scenes so I can only speak to my experience (plus they don't tell you anything anyway.) But wouldn't you think they had a computer program or something to let them know what strains were their best sellers, and to try to always have those in stock? They are growing inside a climate controlled building so they don't have the weather or insect factors to overcome. Germination, seedling, vegetative, flowering, harvesting. They should know, by now, how long it takes each strain to go into its different phases. Maybe have reference charts or something? Just a suggestion, instead of having 20+ strains, how about for now, focusing on having the top 10 sellers always available for patients? Or I don't know, perhaps have an "All Kush Tuesday" or something where you only sell 5 strains but have a large supply in every weight? I was told today, from someone who works there, that the reason Gas band and 818 Headband are usually always available is because no one wants it. Apparently the 818 Headband was created by one of their master growers, maybe that's why they are holding onto it? Maybe trying to have an "made in house" product of their own? I don't know. But I believe you have to create a strong foundation first before exploring other venues. If you start venturing into other products without establishing a firm baseline, you are going to spread yourself too thin. I don't know what business model they are following. Because keeping things in stock that your customers are coming to you for, should be a priority if you want to keep said customers. The communication within the staff is still not coherent. When I was in the waiting room, they had Kosher Kush on their 'daily menu' board; it was taken off when I was about to be called back. I said something to the receptionist and she said she was sorry, that she "didn't see it in the window". I was a little annoyed because that was the only thing on the menu board I was interested in purchasing. When I was called back, I asked if they had any Kosher Kush and the woman behind the counter pulled it from the other display window. I don't understand the communication issue. The receptionist desk is literally within spitting distance of the purchase counter. The receptionist couldn't double check, after I said something to her, and just ask someone behind the counter if it was still available? It's stupid little petty things that hold up efficiency at this place; which equals longer wait times for patients.Lastly, I don't know if it is yet another lapse in communication within or what, but staff don't call you back. I've called at least 3 different people a few times (in the last 3 months) and only 1 has called back. And I thought it might just be that they didn't want to call me back, but (as much as I don't like posting hearsay) I've been told by other patients they are never called back either. On the upside, it does look like they are vacuum sealing their bags now; at least mine were.I feel because they are the only dispensary open, that they don't have to change anything, since patients have no other options yet. I think they are resting on their laurels and might get a surprise, when more experienced cannabis companies come into Delaware and patients are offered a higher caliber dispensary; perhaps with edibles. FSCC isn't a company like Wawa or Verizon, they should be held at a higher standard because they are dispensing medication to patients. In my reviews, I try to speak to my experience by sharing my observations. I've tried to give feedback to this dispensary, but sadly I've been met with stubbornness and a little arrogance. Feedback from customers is vital for any business; for one they are speaking to what they are seeing, on the front lines, something that a manager or CEO might not be aware of. It is just a shame that this place could be a lot better for the patients of Delaware.

When I got my marijuana card was one of the best things that I've ever done the staff is also known as usual products are always good affordable and those who were thinking about getting their car don't pay attention to the negativity that people say about the dispensaries they must have had a bad experience or something of that nature but try it for yourself specially with first state compassion center

Check your orders BEFORE leaving. I was rushed out of the drive in line only to find when I got home that one of my prerolls was significantly shorter... this has happened to me at other centers but they were QUICK to fix the issue, unfortunately Marcy at First State said there was absolutely NOTHING they would do to fix it.Horrible customer service but luckily they are not the only compassion center in DE. Im sure they will continue to make this "mistake" which saves THEM money and cheats the customer.

I have very strong feelings about First State Compassion Center that have run the gamut. But overall, after two years, I give them a 4 star rating based on the strength of their customer service and recent improvements in product quality.Their staff has been consistently helpful. For the most part, if someone doesn't have an answer to a question, they'll ask someone else who does. I prefer this over BS any day!The product quality seems pretty good to me, but that's based on someone who's never seen another dispensary! The flower bags are now fully heat sealed which helps protect the product from drying out.The pricing is objectively high compared to other states with medical marijuana programs based on online pricing and availability websites for other dispensaries. There are several reasons for the high prices, however understanding the cause does nothing to help the patients. Unfortunately, prescription opioids are still *MUCH* cheaper in Delaware than medical marijuana.A frequent complaint is that it's rare to see anything greater than 1/8 ounce quantities. Since the larger quantities are discounted, it's more expensive to buy the ever-present grams and eighths. Availability *may* improve, but I suspect that will be months away. It feels like the plant experts in the back are continually trying to make products available for patients and do a good job! One problem in Delaware, the demand currently far exceeds the supply. When they're busy, its frustrating, but I know the staff isn't dragging their feet. They work through the crowd eventually. Sometimes products on the price board won't be available by the time you reach the sales counter. On the other hand, they sometimes put different products out that weren't on the price board when you walked in. In other words, the inventory changes *very* frequently. Call before you come to see if they have certain items in stock. So why four stars? Because *every* time I've contacted FSCC via email, FB Messenger or phone with a question, suggestion or complaint, I've gotten a follow-up and/or a resolution. Another +, the security people are respectful, friendly and treat you like a human.TL:DR Good product, expensive, rapid inventory changes, impressive customer support.

Between Wilmington’s 2 current dispos you’ll be better suited at First State. Their cheese was some of the better dispensary weed I’ve seen. First State cares enough to put your meds in a plastic jar and not just a plastic bag like Columbia Care (CC’s is bone dry and flavorless by the time you get to it). The flower selection is decent and the quality is actually not bad even considering the cost. Yes it’s still pricey but all in all a solid dispensary. They also have a rewards program and a discount to offer based on your earnings if you provide them your 1040. Here’s where my tone changes a bit; I’ve only had 2 visits and all of my 8ths (3) were exactly .1 off. As much as they have some nice first visit discounts and a rewards program it seems like they’re fishing some of that from not giving you all of your meds. If it weren’t for the sleazy .1 skimp they’d get 5 stars for sure. I usually would be open to giving them the BOTD but all of my 8ths weighed exactly the same amount. Lastly I don’t think a multi million dollar pot operation would be using a lab grade scale that’s not calibrated everyday. That could be costly. Well deserved 4/5.

More expensive than others for cbd rich strains. The ordering procedure is a joke. Think they could at least keep the website up to date on what they have especially for what they charge.

Where is the Variety and Consistency in the Flower Selection? Its simply unacceptable to continue to to take the stance of to say "You have to wait for mother nature and what the mature time is for a plant". We know that. Thank you. But the reality is you are a DISPENSARY! Why do you continue to operate with a "Business Plan of a High School Pot Dealer"? Why are there barely ever 1/4's and never 1/2 ounces? We Disable War Veterans certainly would appreciate the discount in price. Would it be possible to add a "Packaged on Date" on your product like other Medicinal States do? or at least disclosure of what its gown in as other states do? We understand how many card holders there are in Delaware and the lack of Dispensaries (And most certainly the lack of competition) but please remember when you first opened you bragged about the quantity of grow rooms, why aren't they functioning at capacity? In all fairness the other Dispensaries have also not lived up to the expectations of those of us with a Terminal Illness or a debilitating disease. But it would be refreshing to see one Dispensary Step up an own it and if not provide the actual product we need at least stay away from the canned responses and set the example. As the first Dispensary in the State with two locations you still can make a difference if you so choose. You can pioneer the way for the others to try to emulate your legacy in the field. Your Call FSC.
