Rated low for a reason, folks. Anything you bring up that you're dissatisfied for is simply put on "the cultivators." As a repeat customer it's been a repeat issues: STAY AWAY from their Pre-rolls and keep in mind flower is mid grade. Their best strains taste like southern Arkansas corn.
Ascend on Horizon Dr. is where you want to go now. If you go downtown - you have to deal with homeless people everytime. And if you don't care for that - you don't have to worry about that - at least for now - at Horizon Dr. They have like 12 or 13 checkouts and even if you don't place an order on line - you will still be out within a few minutes unless it is unusually busy (which I still have yet to see). The way they do things here - it is fast and easy and the people who work there are very helpful. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK at both locations and don't let the naysayers keep you down.
Corporate stiff feel in this place. Like American Psycho prices. The prices are so high and they didn't even let me use my American Psycho coupon, just like in the movie. Price comparison to Vegas or California is about 6 times the cost. Literally 6 times the cost. If something was $1 in CA, it would be $6 here... 1/2 gram vape is $70... You all are suckers. If you are going to partake, move somewhere else, you are getting ripped off and this company knows it. They hate you and take advantage of you... Go grow some.. it's literally a weed... What a joke this place is... I asked why the prices were so high and the employee said "No competition" and this is how I know... THIS PLACE HATES YOU AND IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOU. I walked out before purchasing. What a joke.
As a person from Cali with a lot of family in Colorado and a best friend in Jersey (one of the most recent states to legalize and open shops), this is the most mid-grade shop I've ever been to or got product from. Pre rolls offered are basically shake and stems (I've taken them apart to confirm). The dab pens don't hit either. I get better wax selection from personal sources. The actual flower is hit or miss, mainly miss though. And I'm pretty sure they are lying about thc percentages. I literally have a same strain from Cali and it smokes harder. Overall rating 2/10. Oh and if you're still going, make sure you don't let the terrible customer service get to you. The little short security guys are super unfriendly at the door and the bud tender girls have absolutely no customer service. Only thing good here is the edibles, but since I can make those myself and there's basically nothing to smoke in this shop, I won't be back.
They charge an undisclosed unadvertised fee for swiping your card. The website and numerous text messages for pickup times and appointments never mentions this. There is an ATM on site but again it charges a routine $3 fee as well.Cash is king here and do know they will round up your order total to the nearest whole dollar but they'll give you back the difference in cash. This location is downtown and doesn't require a shuttle with a couple of quickie meters in front but there's also a men's shelter next door which isn't the most pleasant view nor does the two weaponless security guards Give me Safety and security happy feelings. Walk up with a mask and appointment guess what? Remove the mask and smile for the camera. Then walk down the hall to another area where a lady will double check your appointment with your ID and then point you to walk some more. These guys standing around near the seated medical patrons are the nicest ones and they'll point you to the rec area. Once in line things appear clean and Tidy. Some workers are apathetic while others are happy to be there.
Helpful and friendly staff. We like the new rewards program! parking can be bit of a pain but to be expected downtown of course. Highly recommend both locations in Spfd!
I have a medical card and usually for medical purposes and I was traveling through the area and asking them medical questions and they were answering them as if they were qualified only to tell me later that Illinois itself is not equipped to deal with it and that they cannot actually answer my questions even though they provided answers that led to me buying things originally things that I feel like I would not have bought if they did not answer those questions this bit of Miss advertisement Has left a bad taste in my mouth because if you're willing to say anything to get a sale you have to be willing to deal with those consequences the weed did not help me for my medical needs because it wasn't the kind I needed and I wasn't supply the truth even on the basic level about information on what I was purchasing they told me anything to get the sale and I needed pertinent information ??
Ascend was my first dispensary visit in Illinois, though I've been to others outside of Illinois. Ascend had a large selection to choose from, but you have to go through a sales associate to search. If I went back, I would just check out what you want on your phone and do an online purchase. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable so that was helpful. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again!
I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and staff, that’s a main reason I go to this location and not the other. But I must say today when I went in I had a god awful older lady that clearly hated her job and was not pleasant at all. Seriously considering boycotting this location. People like her give good brands a awful name. - Bob Craft means business
Expensive. I don't partake myself, but if Gov. Lowered prices they'd make more income/revenue. If they want people to buy there, they must lower prices. Tax itself without medical card is insane. Staff knowledgeable, helpful
Loved my experience! I was helped by the cutest gentleman with long brown hair, I think his name was Austin. Helped this old lady get some great flower while making me feel like I was in my 20s again! What a Charmer! I will definatly be back! - Betty
