The dispensary office is clean and pleasant, tucked away in the back corner of the Kodak Center. Staff was friendly and efficient. I had trouble figuring out where I was allowed to park. Prices struck me as being on the high side. They only accept cash due to federal regulations. You are on your own safety-wise entering and exiting the building.I don't like the Columbia Care vape pen at all, and find it difficult to get a reliable, consistent dose ... which makes for less than ideal pain management. There is room for improvement both in terms of customer experience and with the product delivery system.
The ppl are always friendly and helpful and the prices are comparable to other places.I got some royal gorilla, I am happy I did.I would definitely recommend this place I got nothing but good visits.the first time I went I did not know it was in the actual kodak building a 10 min mistake solve but no worries.I wish they had a little more info on the menu website on the ground flower and flower pods.
This review only applies to the Rochester location, as the Brooklyn and Manhattan locations are very well managed with excellent customer service experiences in my opinion, and I've been to those locations dozens of times. I've only been to the Rochester location a handful of times, but the experience is always consistently poor compared to the locations in the city. To start, there are only two dispensaries currently in Rochester, so the competition to win customers over is almost non-existent. Because of this, the consistent vibe of your experience here is more like you are being done a favor, and less like you are a valued customer that is spending thousands of dollars on a product over a period of months that they will probably also heavily discount in the next year or sooner. Whoever answers the phone and the front desk (not sure if they're the same person or not), but this person is typically always abrupt and rude, and would prefer to get you out of their hair so they're no longer bothered. The first time I called to get directions on where to park, she simply just told me "don't worry, you'll find it." I finally did after a long search, but it wasn't easy. Additionally, I have seen her turn away guests who do not have their MMJ card, but simply want to look at the hemp products (before COVID, this was a common normal practice at any other NY dispensary). Most recently, I called in with a question about my delivery order, and instead of finding an answer, she told me to listen to the voicemail that was left for me. After I told her that the information wasn't in there that I needed, she told me to listen again and hung up. I called back several times until I had to use my wife's phone to get her to answer again to speak to a manger since at that point she started screening my calls. I sent a note about my complaint to the manager, and there was no response. Columbia Care has very high quality products, especially their high-cbd claraceed, but Ive considered now saving these purchases for when I get back to the city, since the consistent frustration with the poor customer service here is just annoying and not needed. FP Wellness is also in Rochester and provides variety and high quality service. Hemp stores in the area are also actually really beefing up their products, and as of 2020 you can now find hemp products that also get you high (yes! LOTS of workarounds/loopholes that have been found, and no card needed due to the 2018 Farm Bill). Hopefully things change at this location as I do enjoy the products, but if not there are fortunately a growing number of options as well.
I am very new to medical marijuana. I came to Columbia care with my certification and license to get help for migraines. The person at the front desk was abrupt, rude, and yelled at me when I asked a question about what she said. When I finally was allowed in the person that waited on me also was not kind we're helpful. Will not be back!
$380 per ounce is way too much for their product. This product is only be worth $100 per ounce, at best. Vote with your dollars and avoid this business. They know how to make money but not how to treat customers or help people. Don't waste your money here. Their product is so weak you will be wasting much money trying to medicate. The company provides no way to get in touch with them if you have trouble sin their facility. For example, if the manager won't help you you have no way to get in touch with the parent company except to contact their attorney or investor relations. They are obviously not concerned with customer support. Try and find it yourself.Their cannabis is soooo weak. All of it. Their are no visible trichomes. It is incredibly expensive $380 per ounce, but because of the way they grind it it's probably closer to $760 per ounce if you measure efficacy.. That is top shelf pricing for less than mid grade. I think they harvest prematurely which makes the effects not last as long as they should. They pulverize the flower into powder and that is not a good way to grind flower. I think they do that so they can use the kief in other products. The manager, Joe, is incredibly rude and approached me in a VERY aggressive and threatening way. He stood within a foot of my face. This was while I was being harassed by an unmasked customer in their medical facility. and was standing up for myself. The management sided with the non masked patients, even though New York State requires masks on EVERYONE AT ALL TIMES in all medical facility. The management is in no way enforcing masking as required by New York State for medical facilities. This is not a good thing for immunocompromised people coming to get their medicine. This is not a debate, it is a fact that they need to follow the rules. I tried to contact upper management but they are not accessible so I contacted New York State Health Department which confirmed they are violating the mask mandate for medical facilities and will be following up with them. They have lobbied against legalization every state they operate in or intend to operate in. They are not interested in helping people get high quality medicine or in charging a reasonable price. Vote with your dollars and get your product on the street. You will save a lot of money and will know just as much about your product. They will not share any data on their products such as THC or terpine percentage.
I was in and out, no wait of any kind. Friendly, efficient staff guided me thru the process of making my first medical marijuana purchase. They had (their house brand) what was recommended to me. I'm happy.Word.
They lobby against legalization efforts. They should not be supported in anyway.

EXCELLENT products, GREAT service! The prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend their stuff, you won't be disappointed!
Staff is always wonderful here. Prices are way too high for normal consumer. Building is a little creepy you need to cross a busy street from parking lot and it’s dangerous. The inside of building is dark and no one is around, some questionable types waiting for bus outside. Not a great location or set up for this type of business. Someone is going to get hit by car or mugged in hallway. Time to move!
My husband uses this company to fill his medical Marijuana. They always have his order ready. It's correct. And he likes the staff thinks they are great!
