My fiancé and I visited Chicago this weekend from Houston. Our first time entering the establishment the people were so friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness and organization of this place amazed us. More specifically, Amanda and Arie were so pleasant, we decided to come back before we go back home. As before, they were nice and we were pleased they remembered us as well. We appreciate people like this especially during these troubling times. Thank you guys! You have gained two more loyal customers!
Rude white large lady working at the cash register. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. THIS PLACE HAS ZERO CHILL. first and last time. I don't do rude white ladies. This coming from a POC. K. BYE.
Everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I placed an order online for pickup and was in and out in about 5 minutes. The hostess/greeter and the sales associates were all very friendly. It was a really great experience overall; I'll definitely be returning.
Stay away from this dispensary. They said they had 15% off discount for first time buyers and then called me back to say they didn't offer this discount anymore after I drove all the way there. Very unprofessional and greedy not only that the customer service is horrible. Take your money elsewhere they are also racist VERY RACIST
Still the best dispensary! Decent promotions that allow for lower prices, the weed is usually consistent with reviews. I would recommend pre order then walk in. You have a great selection for recreational users which is a huge ++ most places only give like 2-3 while here you get An abundance of different strains. Customer experience is great! Overall by far the best
they're RACIST as hell here. Let me tell y'all! So, I went in to get credit applied for 2 FAULTY carts that they sold me 1. a cart with huge ass bubbles in it which was very concerning bc i had bought many verano carts this year and NOT ONE had any bubble in it as large as this one and 2. a cart that did not work at all because there was wax overflowing. Craziest part was the manager letting me walk away w/ the overfilled cart even AFTER I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN IN PERSON WITH THIS MANAGER (WHO WAS A WHITE MALE WITH BLUE EYES) WHOM I TALKED TO ON the very same day of my original purchase AND SHOWED HIM WITH HIS OWN EYES HOW THIS CART WAS LEAKING WAX TO WHICH HIS RESPONSE WAS "oh they just overfilled it" and then the cart failed to work on both my personal pen AND the grassroots pen I bought from this establishment days l8r. the white, male manager stated that he would apply a $20 credit to my account for the verano cart that had bubbles. I talked with this supervisor at 3:30 Saturday September 19,2020. So i emailed their customer support upon his recommendation AFTER he told me he would apply a 25% discount to my account for the verano carts with bubbles. i should have asked him for a receipt but I was in a hurry as i have a job i had to get to. THUS, i went in to the store 3 days later to pick up an order only because i wanted to use the credits for the faulty carts, NOT bc i wanted to spend any more of my money and time here. a white, female supervisor comes down to help me when the check out girl says she cant find any credits applied to my account. this manager was extremely rude because she asked me to show her how the cart didn't work in person despite me already having resolved the issue with customer support over email who stated that they would apply a 100% reimbursement for the cart that did not work at all. however, when i got there this woman wanted to act like i didn't already get the issue resolved with management despite me SHOWING HER THE EMAILS. then she wanted ME 2 purchase my order w/out the $20 credit. she tried arguing w/ me for about 7 minutes until I told her to get the manager I spoke to. She kept saying over & over its normal for verano carts to have bubbles. Manager from saturday comes down and he begins to ARGUE WITH ME for over 15 minutes about our conversation on saturday. it literally got to the point where i had to ask him "Do you think I'm lying to you right now? Do you really think I would come here when I have pictures and videos verifying everything is true?" He then PROCEEDED TO ARGUE BY SAYING THAT MY ISSUE WITH THE CARTS WERE REVERSED BC HE REMEMBERED THE VERANO CART NOT WORKING AND THE ISEO cart having bubbles". this is why i asked him if he thought i was lying because he was making up things, saying he remembered it the opposite way and obviously did not want to follow through with his word on Saturday that he would apply the credit. i was in complete shock and extremely disappointed to experience such a HOSTILE management experience in the store despite following all the steps they suggested, reaching out to management, and coming back in hopes that i would have a BETTER experience here. However, that was not the cast at all and for these reasons I will never spend another cent here and suggest to ALL of my colleagues and friends to avoid doing business here entirely as well. THEY EVEN STOPPED LETTING LETTING OTHER CLIENTS IN WHILE I WAS ARGUING W/THESE MANAGERS. i wonder why? I have never been talked to in such a dehumanizing, demeaning and accusatory manner at a CANNABIS DISPENSARY, of all places. The amount of unnecessary stress, wasted money, and wasted time I unwillingly gave to this establishment is unbelievable. ALSO, because of how long these RACIST managers were arguing with me for, over a credit 1 of them had already told me he applied to my acct 3 days before, to which i even had to tell him to check the cameras bc it was obv he didn't want to remember the truth. then my car ends up getting towed!!! THIS is the 2ND time they put up a sale to promote their products and when I buy the products they are faulty, filled with bubbles despite being the same product because I like to buy 2 of everything to compare and make sure the products are the same quality. yet with another cresco cart purchase i made the 2nd cart of the same flavor & brand had MANY bubbles in it that the first one didnt. however, bc i live south i did not have time to come back and bring up this issue with this dispensary. however, this time i had the time and have the time to inform people of my horrible, racist experience here. If you are black, brown or a person of color please take your money to support businesses who actually care about us. not some white guppies whose financiers are millionaires and who are making thousands of dollars every day selling TAXED kush to rich, mainly white people while thousands of our Black and Brown brothers & sisters sit in jail for cannabis crime charges.
This is my new go to! They have a wide selection and it is easy to pre-order. The staff is soooo nice here. Everyone is so cheery and sweet, thats one of the main reasons I like coming here to be honest. They have a rewards program which is the bees knees! I had $20 to apply to my order which really helps with these outrageous costs. I only had one small issue with my pre-order not being ready one time and had to wait like 20 min even tho I got a text earlier confirming my order would be ready. I just went shopping instead so it was no biggie.
Again all book for appointments from early in the morning went to Nuera had an appointment in 15 mins not 7 hours later sorry you lost another $400 Windy City every week your losing money from this appointment BS.
I've got a couple things here prior ithe people are nice but I bought a dog walker that didn't do anything I brought this up today to the cashier and he said there are some strains that don't do anything and he was Sorry. Sorry isn't really good enough when you spend 20 bucks on it and doesn't do anything Sorry to say I will be probably taking my business to rise
Vibes are immaculate. Great selection and Isaiah was friendly enough to go over any products I had questions on and made sure I left with exactly what I needed! I'll definitely be back soon.
This is my go to spot and I never like coming. It's worse each time I visit and I always have problems with my order. My products are usually under weight by a lot and they mislead you. I received baby popcorn nugs on a product that's was expensive and supposed to be flower. Was even marked as flower on website but when I purchased and left I read the label and it said popcorn nuggets. I asked for a refund they refused which is crazy because they offered me a product as something that it wasn't. They don't allow you to even look at the flower before purchasing. I wish I could post pictures of the flower. It was literally shake. Not even popcorn. Shake like completely shake.
They very much turned the wrong corner when they went recreational in 2020 and Graham was no longer managing. SUPER HOSTILE security, some employees wear masks, some don't for COVID-19. (Having it hanging off your ear is not wearing a mask.) Supply dropped at the end of 2019, and they limited product to customers to 7gms without any notice. (Despite having text deals and info they used to frequently send out to customers. No notice.) Goodbye to the whiteboard deals. Good riddance to you! Greenhouse Mokena is a headache of a drive, but it's medical-only and I haven't had the issues you gave yourselves, your customers and me.
I had such a positive experience! First time here and the security and staff were ridiculously kind! Such a welcoming environment and the line was moving very quickly! I was in and out in 15 minutes! I was really nervous to go considering all the reviews I've seen about wait times, so it must be really hit or miss, but I can't wait to come again!
Slow as hell when you do curbside. Natures grace sucks only cresco and verano. Customer service is whack but I'm high most of the time so I just ignore the annoyances
So let's start off by saying I have been to dispensaries all over the country. I am a marine Corp combat, and medically retired, veteran. I stood outside of this place for an hr and a half in 25 degree weather while they let 43 people go ahead of me ,never gained entrance btw, and on top of that the security there was kinda rude from the start I've only been to Windy City a few times but everytime it gets worse and worse To the point that i would say even if the bud was free it wouldn't be worth it they've definitely lost my business 100% and I'm a bulk buyer mission is a lil more expensive but i would definitely say go there instead or any other dispensary you can possibly go to.
I'm standing 10 people deep outside. What's the point of preorder if you aren't properly scheduling people?
What's the point of ordering online then Giving me a pickup time just to make it first come first serve? People were just rolling off the street without preordering. I understand you wanna sell to everyone you can, but have separate lines. Literally preorder at 8am so I could pick it up after work figures there would be a few ppl in line. Get there the lines out the door 30 deep. What was the point of preordering? Prices are extremely high. Employees are all very respectful.
This place is a joke! Last time I checked, I didn't need a iPad to get fucking high. It's a CASH BUSINESS NERDS!!!!!!Oh where to begin. I have tried to visit this place since it opened and this time I actually got inside. I should have stayed outside reading my book and talking to the Security at the door because once inside, the stoopid shit starts. Yes I spelled stupid wrong. Thats how stoopid this place is. While standing in line while other people who know how to use the computer go in front of me (not cool, not cool at all) I try to stay confident. A fool i am. I get inside (finally) and somehow I placed an order that did not go through the computer system, I go through another door to a grinning person who tells me that since I was a walk-in I had to go to the front desk AGAIN. I had to set up a profile as a casual user (WTF!!!!!!) and then the system went down and I couldn't use that. The staff believed they were helping me. They were not. The menu is confusing because there are so many choices and I was just looking for some fucking flower. Its a cash transaction, so whats with the computers and profiles? You should take a page from Amsterdam. There, you walk into a coffeehouse. The weed is behind the bar in big ass jars, prices in chalk on a board at the end of the bar. You point, they bring the jar down, weigh out the product, you hand them cash they hand you bud. END OF TRANSACTION!!!!!!!!! I bet this place could fuck up a hand job. I thought that places like this would put the street dealers on notice. NOPE! Only bright spot again was the security personnel by the door. They know what they are doing. The people inside I'm sure mean well and they are complying with the rules of the company, so my issue is not with them,rather the jerkoffs who thought introducing computers to a cash and carry venture was a good idea. You are a dumb-ass. How bout you have two lines. One for the tech savvy who get off on the flashing screens and large selections of various products and the "stoners". You know, people who want a "tech-free" experience. Here is my money, give me the trees pleez!
This place is trash, the security guard is a punk kid who doesn't know anything. He told several people to use online ordering, when online ordering was down. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
The buds are good .Traffic sucks around that area the employees are pushy and bossy maybe they need a smoke break
I have been to the Homewood location 4 times since Jan 1 yeah its' a wait but if you check their website,you will know pretty much what's available its gonna take a while for them to catch up,so be patient,all in all the people are great,the wait not so much,and it will get better.
To the folks complaining about low stock or no stock, you should really relax because just about every dispensary in this state has been like this since recreational became legal. It's not their fault. Medical patients have to be given priority because there's simply not enough supply to meet demand. This is not the fault of the dispensary. I love this dispensary and I've been coming here ever since I got my medical card last year. Sometimes I come in and they don't have what I usually get but the workers there are always on point with alternative recommendations! They're always super friendly and I always enjoy everything I get. To recreational users, please just be patient! When supply increases you'll have more consistent options and prices will eventually go down.
The staff was nice in my opinion.. security was courteous.. HOWEVER.... I arrived at 11:05 am ...stood in line til 3:50 pm... then learned there was only 2 choices of weed to choose from!!! Then learned it was $60 an eighth!! But the KILLER is the fkin tax!!!!!! They tax according to THC content!!! so it ended up $72 for $60 3.5grams
Not only are they constantly out of stock on a lot of their product but when they give you a faulty product, they will not replace it. $70 down the drain because the oil leaked out of the cartridge before the container it was in was even opened and they said it wasn't their problem. They are apparently OK with wasting people's money and selling broken cartridges. Recommend skipping this place and going elsewhere since they could care less about their customers. My fiancé is the one who shops there and is a combat vet with PTSD and uses their product for back pain and to sleep without nightmares but they sold him a broken cartridge and told him it's not their problem that he has to go a week without anything to help his pain and to sleep since we have to wait until pay day to get more. And no, he cannot get a medical card because people with medical cards are not allowed to own a firearm.
Prices are higher than another state I've been in since stores started sales in recreational marijuana products
Every time I visit this store, the experience is worse than the last. As soon as you begin to walk toward the door, security begins barking orders at you...: "You got a pre-order?!? Show me your text!!! Stand six feet apart!!!!" The last time I was there, I struck up a conversation with the guy behind me. We were easily six feet apart, yet security felt the need to act like a hard ass and have us move apart. As we continued, without moving, he immediately returned and did it again. In the five minutes I was in the waiting room I was told three times (without moving) about social distancing. Going to this store is what I imagine returning from the yard or dayroom is like.
Great service after the wait in line. Line moves at a decent pace. Usually extending outside from what I've witnessed. #M37Labs approves.
I repeat, this is stupid...WINDY CITY MANAGEMENT!!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!! I stood I line for over an hour for a scheduled appointment!!! WTF? If you can't handle the flow, stop the orders!!!! I talked to your "MANAGER" and she said they were over whelmed, while she stood around supervising and other employees were jerking off...I repeat...WTF? Someone please help this place hire someone who is customer service oriented!!! THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE!!!!
So, I'm reading a bunch of reviews, and it honestly sounds like a few people REALLY could use a preroll or two lol. I love coming to Windy City Cannabis in Homewood, I haven't had any problems since becoming a medical patient in August. As a medical patient, what I love most is the curbside pickup option. It's a lifesaver when the line is stretching around the corner, AND for people who have difficulties moving around (like me, who has a cast on her leg at the moment).The staff has always been upbeat and friendly, they've given me good brand recommendations to try out, and the front foyer is nice and clean. My only critique would be to add "MEDICAL PATIENTS ONLY" wording on the curbside pickup signs outside. It'd help a lot of first-time patients who don't know that these spots are reserved.
So even if you have a pre order and get there before the place closes, if the line is too long they don't care. They close at 7 and they won't bat an eye at turning you away. This place sucks.

They need to come up with a solution for the lines that wrap around the building. For pre orders, text people a code and let them wait in their cars until their number is up for them to come in the building. It's 30 degrees and there's hour long lines outside the dispensary. Come up with a solution please. I got 4 texts alone when I was ordering with confirmations, easily could text people when they can come inside.
AVOID! If you are about to go here check yelp or google maps for another dispensary. This place could quite literally and figuratively be classified as a buzzkill. We arrived and informed the security guard outside of the facility that we are walk-ins when he asked if we pre-ordered. He stated that pre-orders would take precedence but to go ahead and stand in line. Fine. We stood by as others were called in to the business because they had pre-ordered. Where things went left is when we were the only ones in line and the guy letting people in went back in and closed the door. We asked security why we weren't called in when no one else was there. He instructed us to just pre-order anything from the site to get called in and added we could change the order to something else once we went inside. Why even have that ridiculous work flow? We were eventually called in and to our surprise there is no product placement in the lobby area. Imagine the DMV without chairs as the lobby. We made it to the budtender to check out and changed our order. That whole process is unnecessary. The second star is given for the staff. They were all helpful but they had to follow that ridiculous work flow that management put in place. If you do decide to go here, pre-order only.
Good spot, the prices are ok but be prepared for the high tax. Illinois always tax for every little thing. Make sure to preorder or you will be waiting for a Long time, they make sure they get the preorders in and out though so be sure to preorder and avoid that long wait in line.
If you wear glasses make sure you can read with out them. I was asked to put my mask over my nose even tho I couldn't see. I Would choose a different dispensary if you like seeing. Response ..(note to your self) I have no problem wearing a mask. But when my vision is being blocked from my glasses being fogged. Plus no one was around me. I was in my own area... I had tried to explain why I had my mask at my nose... That it was just for the info taking part... Ask for help. Didn't get it. The other places are much nicer and more helpful....
We went on a weekend afternoon which was very busy. Because I have medical card I am able to cut the line upon arrival. Pre-order ion their website. Don't leave the website until you are finished with the order (cash at pick up is required). If you leave the assure while shopping your items in the cart disappear. Call before it's you have questions about a product. Their employees are very helpful!
The people are cool and easy going. I have no problems with Windy City except the price. They raised prices and then offered the items at a still higher sale price. I paid $40 one week and less than a week later the product was $60 with a 10% discount making the the price $54. That’s a lot more than the $40 I had paid earlier in the week. Kinda a ripoff if you ask me. I really don’t think that the prices are in line with other states. Michigan is much cheaper for the product as well as the taxes. Wake up Illinois and lower your prices. I realize that you a make more of a profit charging the higher prices but more quantities means more profit. Just get in line with street prices, be more customer friendly for Pete’s sake.
Good products. Super long lines even after you preorder. But that's to be accepted.
