So lets start with the parking, all the other businesses in the area must hate these guys, lots of NOPARKING signs, then you see an off site parking for HCI, and it has a shuttle, yea you think but no, the shuttle only get you there, due to some weird rule/law, it can not take you back, so be prepared for a walk. The lines are long, a staff member said they are still serving 1,000 a day, and the line is usually 1.5 to 2 hours long, in my case, 2.5 hours. In the cold, in the wind of February. You get inside and they want you to order in the pre line before you get into the actual sales area and if you are unsure, you just start pointing. Once inside the staff are only really there to ring you up. Be warned, very limited inventory of edibles and what they actually sell is not represented by their WWW site. This place is not ready for prime time retail, it was a terrible experience and I'm going back to my "connection" and making my own electric cookies. It might actually be easier/less hassle to fly to Vegas. If you hold a Il. medical card, this might be a totally different experience, mine is based on a non medical card purchase.

The parking attendants are extremely rude!!  It takes 3 hours even if you have a time slot.  I recommend going anywhere but here.  You can get the same product from any dispensary, but deserve a lot better experience than this.

Just a waste of time.  Lets talk about the order online.  That is a comlete joke.  I received a text that my order was ready so drove there and was told that i had to wait 1 1/2 hours after sitting in the parking lot for 35 mins.  My time time there was horrible but decided that since you had to order online this time would be better.  I was completely wrong.  The products that they have a limited.  Dont waste your time unless you are just completely desperate.  I cant wait for Missouri to get their dispencaries and hope that it will be better.  But please please please people...dont even waste your time.  If the wait, long lines and the limit products dont discourage you...the tax will.

Garbage.  2 types of weed...1 of them being a shake that tastes like f'ing seed husks. 2 hour wait, no concentrates or decent weed.  Only thing I can say positive is places like this will make the black market stronger!  HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THIS PLACE, you are better off smoking grape vines.

Second visit, from across the river. Efficient, polite, friendly and relatively quick. Sure, selection is a bit limited and a bit expensive. But c'mon, who ever expected legal pot would be cheap? And I think once we clear the covid issue the supply and varieties will be more abundant. It's a clean, safe, convenient and LEGAL! That is something I never thought would happen in my lifetime.

If I have to choose to buy corporate over local, these are my go-to guys. They take their art seriously and have a lot of knowledge, passion and patience with their customers. Since COVID-19 they have stepped up their game immensely. Not only are wait times down, but they go the extra mile to make sure everyone is safely distanced from each other. 5 stars every time!

This place has the best selection around. Customer service is excellent. Brady was the handsome and entertaining young gentleman that helped me out. He will take all the time you need to make a decision. He can answer all of your questions, and fill your requests with a smile. He really goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. This was my second visit. I'll definitely be back for a third.

This place has a good vibe . Closer than Denver or Massachusetts lol. Great staff Yolanda aka yo and Andrew were very helpful. Kind and patient in answering all my questions even security guards very friendly and helpful . I wish I worked there . Smells good . I'll be back there for sure . I would not recommend coming here.......the flower is shit and the wait time is ridiculous.....have an appointment to be in the parking lot at a certain time and then have to wait another 30-40 minutes to get on the bus plus the wait time to get into the dispensary. They can't keep up with their product nor can they get appointment times right. They also DO NOT trim the flower so the buds are basically all leaves and don't even give u a slight buzz. I paid 71.45 after tax for an 8th of garbage I could have paid 25 on the street. I will not be returning.

Maybe mention in your website how you can't enter the facility unless you ride the stupid bus, never been to a dispensary that told me I can't park there or I have to park a mile away. Never even made it to the inside

So. HCI is very beneficial in that they provide quality product. The prices can be a bit high. They do the process of obtaining product interesting. Some may view this as complicated but with time, they have really taken steps to try make it smoother. I just wished they had a large parking lot near the location. The shuttle process can be stressful. Overall though, I am happy with the service.

1 flower available and it's terrible, no way the Strawberry #17 has 36% THC. It's only labeled that high so they can tax you 25% on it, as flower under 35% THC only has a 10% tax. It is not a hybrid either, just a weak Sativa. $20 a gram gtfooh. You need to visit dispensarys in Vegas and Colorado your current setup is child's play.

Absolutely terrible. We spent 2 whole hours in line only to be told we were only allowed to get one eighth of the flower we wanted. No parking anywhere near, they only have parking for medical patients, the rest have to park half a mile away and wait for some filthy shuttle. There's some militant security guard at the Hilton next door who will call the cops if you park in their parking lot or in parking lots near. A miserable, 3 hour experience that puts the cannabis industry to shame. I wouldn't ever recommend coming here, in fact, I would suggest driving an extra hour just to AVOID this sh*tshow.

Passing through on my way to Colorado and thought I would stop to trY out Illinois cannabis. Waited in the expected line for about 2 hours. Got to the front and was denied entry with my current pa state issued drivers license. Needless too say I'm ready to be back in rado. It also seems the Midwest and East coast dispos are just a different vibe in general. Also little known fact  always ask if the pre rolls are flower pre rolls and not trim.

So many improvements needed at this place. 1) hours change without updating website. You can't reach anyone on the phone to double check the hours or any other details after their office business hours. I made two trips and were turned away. Medical Monday's now close at 7pm. Tonight on a Friday night we're turned away at 7 pm because "you need to be here at 6:30" even though they close at 9pm. None of this info is advertised on their website. 2) not much choice of product. Not much offering. It's bare bones. 3) their "menu" of offerings does not tell you much.  They should be telling you if it's a sativa, hybrid or Indica. They should be telling you what this all means. No info or guidance on your purchase. 4) poorly labeled product. Is it a hybrid or what? Staff doesn't even know themselves when I asked.   5) prices way high and taxed to death for mediocre product.

I was told I HAD to take a bus to even get into the place.. I was being dropped off to pick up the order I placed.. Bus drivers were total jerks.. I'd be damned if I'm gonna get on that bus or any other bus to get some over priced weed!

The staff is nice and everything is well organized.  Other than that, I cannot believe people are lining up to buy the crap they are selling.  I believe this company is seriously taking advantage of people.  I got a tiny bag of dust for $100.  Buy seeds and grow your own.

I stood in line on Tuesday till 7:30 and they came outside and said we wouldnt have enough time left. I only had 15 people in line in front of me and so I go the following day after checking their menu online to see if I could still get the flower with 30.04 %. So I go stand in line again and once I get to the front of the line they hand out a menu that has completely changed and now are offering flower at half the thc level. This is ridiculous!!! They have you standing in the cold for hours and you cant even get what they are suppose to be offering.  I cant wait till Green Solution opens in a few weeks for recreational cause they are offering more options for flower and more availability....

This place is horribly handling 4/20 or whatever. They let you place an order and not pick it up. So make sure you aren't wasting your time before you go here. Also, the product is only mediocre. And super over priced.

So I waited in line for hours to get a g of wax finally take it home and open it up and I eye ball it looked a little shy of a g to me as I smoke daily I know what a g looks like. I weigh it out on parchment paper and it weighs out to .77. I highly recommend not coming here and going any where else as I paid $75 for .7. False advertisement on there end and they are just making you over pay. I recommend driving to anyone else other then hci as I highly think they don't properly weigh out everything but want to over charge

This place is a nice clean facility but the wait time here is absolutely horrendous. I know a gentleman that waited in the line three separate times after work and was turned away all three times after reaching the very end of a 3 hour wait. Granted they have restrictions on the amount of people that can be in the building but for making over $40 million in three weeks you think they could have the decency to have hear lamps for the hundreds of people that wait in line for hours in sub zero temperatures. I see handicap people waiting in the same line since they are not Illinois residents in the bitter cold as well. I really hope the management here takes notes on how to not run a grand opening on a new consumer segment of a emerging market. I would avoid this place at all costs not just the wait but the lack of planning that was put into this location and parking situation. High quality products I if you can get any.

I took my wife who suffers from bone tumors, fibris dysplasia of the skull and many other ailments. We are waiting on our doctor, until then she uses rec. Today we visited HCI Alternatives In Springfield I'll. Everyone there has always been freindly and beyond amazing to us. However today was different. We were waited on by a gentleman we hadn't seen there before. We love new faces, but this Gentleman crossed the line with my WIFE. This gentleman made a B line to my wife , was as sweet as can be. When I asked him a question, he stopped and starred at me, said to me , "Wait my damn turn". I said "Pardon me sir, I said weve been coming here for a while now, and no one has ever spoken to me or my wife that way. He then asked my wife of I was with her, she got very angry and told him YES! His attitude changed when she said that, he didnt want to help us anymore. We had to keep asking him the same questions 5 or 6 times before he would stop flirting with the woman behind us who was stoned out of her mind. He then turned around again, and  we ordered. We told him we had the ozone vape pen, and we showed him. He said to " just buy the airpro cartridge". I asked if it would work, he continued to stare emotionless at his tablet and said, "SURE".He then walked away, and I shouted above the room "ARENT YOU GOING TO OFFER ME THE TEXT DEAL YOUR OFFERING THESE OTHER FOLKS??!" He very slowly walked to get the other tablet on the table, and dropped it in my wifes hands, she almost dropped it. She entered in her phone number, handed into him and he walked away!!!!! My wife turned and Interupted his flirting and said, "sorry to inconvenience you but could you please give us our total??! To which he replied, "um, yeah so what did you order again?" The most unprofessional man we have ever met, not to mention the  borderline harassment of my WIFE!!! AND TO TOP IT OFF HER CARTIDGE DOES NOT FIT THE PEN. ITS THE WRONG  BRAND! WE WENT TO SMOKE SHOPS ALL OVER AND NO ONE SOLD THAT KIND OF PEN. SO WE SPENT 65 DOLLARS ON MYSTICAL MELODY AIROPRO CART, THAT SHE CANT USE.  IM TAKING THIS MATTER FURTHER, BECAUSE  LIKE I SAID THAT WAS DISGUSTING!

Apparently they're doing online orders since COVID to which I placed my order at 9 am on a Monday and picked my time slot.. they texted me and confirmed my order and told me it was ready for pick up. I show up to only be told Monday's are MEDICAL only and to try again tomorrow and that they're 'still trying to figure out the website which is why it let me order even though I don't have a medical card anyways. Is this a joke? I just drove 40 minutes to get here to be turned away. HORRIBLE!!!!

This place used to be okay but now it's very stressful going in there. First of all, when I tried to park, some people in the parking lot said you have to park about a half mile away and take a shuttle to the store. This makes me feel very uncomfortable taking a shuttle during COVID-19 and being in a vehicle with people I don't know so close together. Second, when trying to park in the parking lot, the employees said you have to place an order online and come back when it is your pick up time. There is no mention of this on the website so I wasted 40 minutes total driving to the place initially and back home and then had to come back later to pick up my order after placing it online. Not sure I'll be back here, there are other great options close by that you can actually park in the parking lot and not risk exposure to COVID-19 by riding in a shuttle very close to strangers. Maybe it's time for this place to move locations to a building that actually has a parking lot for their customers...I can't see customers putting up with the subpar parking here for very long.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was told to place my order via online. I had placed my order online a day ahead of time and was 15 minutes early to pick up my order. Upon arrival, I was told that because I did not take the public transit bus, I was not allowed to complete my order. I will no longer support a business that requires its customers to take public transportation during a time where people are mandated to remain 6ft apart. Not only do they charge 25% tax rate, their employees are extremely rude and condescending.

Whoever left this place a positive review is crazy. This is the worst system I've ever experienced. You have to park in a lot half a mile away and get shuttled over to the store on a bus? There are no signs, just a parking lot with a bunch of stoned dudes giving out very vague directions. It's a complete mess, and I wouldn't recommend it for anything! Get it together guys! What a disaster.

HCI alternatives has a few issues that represent the political climate of the state. They are extremely limited on product and what they do have is completely below standards. For this you get to pay exorbitant prices WITH an equally high tax. But first you have to wait in line for over an hour, on a slow night, in the weather. Bundle up. Their product is below standards. Weights are wrong, potently is wrong, cure is wrong. Bags of shake is actually a dusty dried vegetation, technically cannabis but only because it had a few seeds included!The way this business is run is actually helping the black market. Keep your dealer, you'll save cash and your health.

I wish I could give 5 stars. Having said that, I am a California resident who wasn't aware of the state regs during Covid-19. The process is a little different, but the staff was reassuring and very helpful. The price point is much higher for the quality and quantity that I'm accustomed to, but hey, that's the breaks lol. I would encourage you to purchase from them as there is an option to donate to a Prisoner Release Fund - paraphrasing here. The funds go to people currently incarcerated for marijuana crimes! Get your head around that and help free them! Cannabis is now legal in current times!!

I definitely enjoyed coming here when it was medical only. Now that they are recreational and medical, it's clear it's just all about making a dollar. They do try to give medical patients "priority," but the anxiety of having to weed thru the recreational lines isn't worth it to me. The prices seem to be higher than most places too. I miss the old HCI.

I admit I wanted to head back to the streets....Long Lines & high prices were getting to be a bit much.I went to the clinic today for the 1st time since full-blown recreational adult usage became legal in our great state of IL.This caused lots  of drama w/  pricing & supply within the  state, due to increased demand. This is normal, supply & demand always determine appropriate prices. Anyhow, I was impressed how us medical cannabis pt.s were ushered through so easily.They've got it figured out....  So glad this former Army  Medic could come back home! Nice job guys!

This place is by far the best dispensary in the area. They are constantly getting better-with products quality, selection, and prices! The staff has always been great since they opened. Anyone who’s curious about this place have to place an order and see for themselves. In the midst of opening during a pandemic I would give them 10 stars if I could. Great atmosphere and experience every time!

Best dispensary in the area! They are always updating their products, bigger and better selection. The process to get in is organized. As a plus they have promos from time to time, like today!! I’ve been at least 10 times and will be back. Love the whole environment of this place.

Just had an awesome experience here!! Nicola is awesome!! She was an absolute joy and very helpful! Next visit see below Placed my order and was subbed out. Normally it's customary to inform your customer BEFOREHAND! I didn't find out until I got to my destination. This is not what I wanted and I didn't even get a chance to make a different selection. When she was ringing me out she flashed the package so fast and still called it the wrong name! Awesome staff, even when busy they've been on top of it lately. Love it

First time here and I had a really good experience. Very organized and clean facility. The "bud"tender that helped me was great, very nice and knowledgeable. The walk from the parking lot is pretty long, so if you have mobility issues, like I do, there is a shuttle that runs about every 5 - 10 minutes. Using the app to order is easy, as was making the appointment time. Very important, be sure to enter your appointment time information quickly as the spots fill up fast.
