My mom was struggling with her arthritis before I got her the tropicals sold at CHAI. If you love your mama buy her some lotions sold up in here !!

Went in tonight to return a $72 heavy hitter cartridge that I bought earlier.  I had bought 2, the first was fine, the second one leaked all over my bed when I took it out of the box. So I brought it in to return. The kid behind the counter said they wouldn't take it back. They wanted to see the receipt and were very rude about it.   I've been coming to this shop every week since it opened. They know me. I was pissed. So I went out to my car and found the receipt and went back inside. The kid looked at it and said, "I can barely read this, you must have picked it up off the ground". I couldn't believe it!  I'm a 57 year old woman who doesn't go picking up receipts from the street. I've been a loyal customer but after the way they treated me tonight I'm never setting foot in this dump again. I have lived in this community my entire life. My family has been here forever. We will certainly be spreading the word!

CHAI lost two stars for me because of the girl who works at the desk upfront. she seems as if she is miserable and has no happiness, she is rude and management should speak with her or put her In the back. I don't  know her name and wouldn't want to slander it but for management and customers I can describe her so you can be aware!!!! she is an African American girl who wears glasses and checks people in so be warned before going. I can't make everyone  happy in life and I have had my share of giving someone a attitude but when u treat everyone like you hate your life that's a problem. Also she wS training a new girl today... hope that bad customer service doesn't trickle over to the new hire... Everyone else is great!!  HOWEVER ON A GOOD NOTE  the gentlemen that checks everyone in is nice think his name is Loyd? Hire More people like him who are glad to serve customers!!!! Then again you may just need some herbs and don't care about this review LOL

I generally love chai most budtenders are so friendly and are very informative on the products the club carries but my past 2 visits have been disappointing. The Caucasian male with glasses and younger looking female with pig tails dark hair were very stand offish.. they seemed like they didn't want to be there. I asked the male what pre rolls he recommended and all he said was " i don't smoke pre rolls". I hope they change their way of selling. Super discouraging.

UPDATE: I used to love this place and came all the time. Unfortunately, Chai Castroville is using the covid pandemic as an excuse to not follow their store policies. They are now constantly changing their store hours, and do not update this to their website, and different employees tell you different hours. Nothing to say other than "sorry," which is really disappointing. I guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere - bummer. purchased some concentrates a little over a month ago from this club, unfortunately they had degraded, and I needed to exchange them. According to California law they're not allowed to exchange products, but they did give me the same amount of concentrates for free. These people are great. They will go out of their way to make sure you're happy with your experience. It's worth the drive and then some

I'm a pretty regular customer at this dispensary but after today's experience I will not ever be going back. I went in with a preroll that contained some type of defect on it to which I believe is mold. The girl who was originally going to help said she doesn't think there's anything she can do because I didn't have a receipt. Then says she will talk to the manager. She comes out and says the preroll is "infused" and that's why it looks the way it does but NO WHERE ON THE PACKAGING DOES IT INDICATE THIS.(It's not infused they just didn't want to take responsibility for a bad product.) Then some man comes out as I'm debating on whether or not to purchase anything and starts saying "I'm not going to argue". To which I replied I'm not arguing but I will not be using the product because I do not think it's safe. Then he continues to argue with me and says if I want to get high there's harder drugs out there to which his co-workers laughed. Not only did they not take responsibility for my moldy preroll the customer service was beyond rude. Never in my life have I ever been to a dispensary with that kind of customer service. If you want quality product AND service this is NOT the place for you.

This place is great made feel real welcome for my 2nd time buying from dispensary. Real helpful staff and knowledgeable James was the man! I picked some Blue Dreams and Grease Monkey and James recommenced wagyu and im glad he did really great stuff here will definitely be coming back!

First complaint, is the strict no cell phone policy. Wanted to call my husband about the options they had and was told I couldn't have my phone out? Second complaint, the staff wasn't pleasant at all. Bad service, and prerolls falling apart. I will take my business to urbn leaf, great service AND they even have a cool background to take lots of pictures! No stupid cell phone policies!

I do like their prices and selection and the staff is friendly. My complaint comes from lack of knowledge with the staff members. I asked for a cbd ONLY product for my grandmother who has never consumed any marijuana products in her life, nor has the desire to. They recommended I get Wyld CBD gummies and they would not get her "high". Well, that's not what happened. My grandma got very high, had a horrible anxiety attack and is extremely pissed off. After that I did my own research and learned that Wyld does in fact contain THC. It actually says so right on the package which I should have read myself, but I trusted them to guide me to the product I was looking for. I do like the place and products and prices are okay. The staff should have better training on the products they are selling, especially when it's going to the elderly.

The worst customer service ever here!! The girls here get so defensive about a dam point system they keep lying to you about and yet their so called manager or owner what ever he is allows these girls to treat customers so poorly that goes to show what kind of business this is !! Thanks guys drive out here for nothing !!

I actually really liked it here! I'm a native to castroville for about sixteen years so now that I came back for a visit I'm very happy about the change the town got after finding out they had a dispensary??! The staff was very friendly yet helpful. We were greeted right away so I loved the attention we got. I didn't have a problem with what I wanted to find or just learning the background of some of the products they have to offer. Very clean, updated, & organized inside. Plus, finding out they will be getting bigger at their location means more business for everyone & what they'll have more to give! Highly recommend. See me here one day!

So if you read my review below this was the absolutely only place I would come for my cannabis needs and even when I moved out of Castroville I still came back to patronize this business. First off they took the point system away and basically just told the customer is here you get a card and when you spend about $500 you get $50 off and I lost all my points which was about $60 worth from when it changed from higher level.no problem,however when I went in not too long ago they told me that now the card system has now changed again when I was one stamp away from my $50 gift card and all of a sudden the points are back however you do not get the points back that you were missing when the change happened originally so you're starting from scratch AGAIN . I figure oh well they have really good service people are really nice especially James. Then I went back today now they no longer have the 20% off deal day and all of the discounts went down to 15% I know they have made tons of money in this community and I know for a fact there's a lot of people like me that come here just because of the accommodation no matter how far it is. I have a family member who should be on opioids and only uses cannabis for treatment it has been life changing for her.I feel last time I came in I was pushed towards some old very low quality flower it was not cheap however I think it was one of those things where they knew it was getting stale and they wanted to put it on somebody. I have never had that happen before and actually quite the opposite if you read my prior review I don't know what's going on here anymore but unfortunately I think today was my very last shopping experience with themThe young lady with the pink and purple hair seemed very annoyed with my question and I'm not really sure why I am extremely polite when I attend any store for any reason so for that I am extremely disappointed as long as I have been coming here it is sad to say that I know that I am not appreciated as a customer It also seems like a lot of other people are not valued either due to the price changes and the way they keep switching up their loyalty program and discounts for the people that have been loyal to them for years

Been coming here weekly for years. Great selection of product, but what has kept me coming back is the budtenders. Most are really knowledgable, but big shout out to MIA! Always knows exactly what to recommend and is very honest about the products. Love how she recommends stuff she has actually tried. Heartbroken that they moved her to front receptionist these passed few times! Oh well, looks like I will just have to ask her what shes smoking on before I Go in to the back!

1st time experience wasn't all that great. Other dispensaries, you get friendly, & outgoing budtenders... Friendly, yes kinda, but far from outgoing! Their attention was clearly not on me.
