After reading the reviews for other shops, we were cautious about what to experience. This is as easy and pleasant as possible. Nice new facility with plenty of parking and easy access. The staff couldn't have been nicer from the guard to the very knowledgeable sales clerk. I'd recommend RISE every time. We found the product to be OUTSTANDING!!

Bring cash bring cash bring cash! The ATMs they have there are really crappy and they only let you take out $20 and then they charge you like two extra dollars along with the penalty fee from your bank so there's like an additional like five dollar fee that you're going to get for taking money out so be warned go to your bank before you come to this place. because they will charge you an arm and a leg the Also bring extra cash so if it says $30 it's not $30 it's like 36 OK so just make sure to bring that extra money you know if before payday. Your welcome-

I really wanted to like this place. Even came here multiple times. Products are pretty good and consistent and folks on the inside of the store are generally pleasant. However, people on the outside are seriously off putting and often rude. They seem to ooze of entitlement and make us customers feel less than. Just one example, one time I was asked to park and go inside to pay with card. I stood in the lobby waiting for the guy to return. In pops a female employee who scared herself when she saw me. I apologized because I didn't know how else to react since she was so flustered. I was a mere customer waiting with my card in hand. She rolled her eyes and left. Blonde lady outside is rude and selectively says hi to some and gets passive aggressive for others. Like why?? Many more examples. Anyway, for that, I no longer come here and much prefer NETA and also have been loving some of the new shops popping up with friendly service and good quality.

sure beats climbing up the back stairs of tenements - hooray for this evolution in access to cannabis legally and hooray for this place where you'll make your purchase in an elegant living room setting with the ​knowledgeable and welcoming staff! And the selections are bountiful!

Eh. Very weak strains, even though they have a large selection.  Bud tenders are full of fluff and don't have any idea about what they are selling. Young in experienced kids over talking strains. Poorly grown buds show stems, full leaves, etc. Quite amateur, on to the next one.

My favorite dispensary in Western MA by far. They always have a great selection to choose from and consistently have some of the best quality product around. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you haven't yet, you need to check them out!

This place is awesome everyone else on here is a asshat. in and out quick service.  Great selection.  Worth the drive. bountiful. Limit on flower is 1oz don't be a weed snob

The girl with blue hair seemed very put out with any customer service required. She should try her product before work.

Good medical deals and solid product. I've never felt completely welcome when inside, the door staff are usually nice. The point system for medical is more generous than most. The brownie scout is worth a try, it's one of my favorites for sleep.

During the tough pandemic times, it is highly recommended to place your order 2 hours ahead of time so you're not arriving and not knowing what to do like my friends and I.  I've been here twice before the pandemic and once during. All 3 times myself and my friends had a good experience overall. Due to the tax the prices are high in price for flower, and I recommend each time you go to call and ask if they have what you're looking at online available. Weed maps does not update properly, they used to open at 9am(WM) and when i called at 9 they were not open until 11am due to the pandemic.  Their online menu is better to use and also use once they're open otherwise you're getting an old menu.  All 3 visits i've gotten something different such pax pods, edibles, topicals, and always flower.  I've never been disappointed once. The quality for price is kinda expensive but you know its worth it when you sit down with your most dank strain from wherever you came from and one from massachusetts and you can tell the grower puts hard work into growing for RISE, compared to the growers that rushed your street cabbage strain for the quick buck.(not saying its bad) RISE being right smack in the middle is worth the stop if you're just passing through or making a trip to visit any dispensary. They'll always have a big menu online, using the chow menu was confusing but if you know what youre looking for, it will show up. No i'm not a bot typing this, i kinda gotLost smoking the Scout Breath I scooped up from them. Give it a shot, give them a honest review. Go back home to your state where it's not legal recreationally and fight for recreational once you see how dope it is being able to comfortably buy cannabis without the fear of getting in trouble.

Placed an order online! Selection appeared pretty comparable to other non-RISE Mass dispensaries that I've visited. Showed up a couple minutes before closing time and was turned away because "they didn't have time to process an order". I wasn't aware that it took more than 10 seconds to trade some cash for a brown paper bag!

Apparently they didn't like my first review so they had it removed... so let's try again. Poor selection, lousy product and above all, super rude staff! The early 20 something blonde with tattoos (just so you know who I'm talking about) was just so nasty! I'm not well-versed (but also not illiterate) with everything out there so I had some questions. Place was empty upon entering. Since they had a very limited selection of sativa/hybrids, I asked about other avail products. She made few suggestions and seemed very anxious to get rid of me immediately. Literally in the first minute she just didn't want to answer any questions!! Again, NO ONE ELSE THERE!! Within a few minutes, she kept rudely looking over my shoulder again and again. I looked behind me and noticed 3 people came in. Apparently 3-4 sales people and 3 customers somehow made her freak out and get even more anxious! Never experienced this at another dispensary. Is 5 minutes to give a customer some info really too much to ask?!?! Spent $420 btw...you would think that would be worth 5 minutes!!Rather than really answer my questions and offer helpful suggestions, she spewed out names and ratios of things that I was unfamiliar with. I said I don't buy from dispensaries often and asked her to slow down. She again got very aggravated, pointed down to the menu and said it's right there. I told her I can read what it says, I don't understand what the terms mean (I had never heard of CBH for example.) Again she seemed very aggravated that I was wasting her time! Also Asked if the Vape cartridges taste like plastic. The last time I bought in Massachusetts they told me the cartridges had poly propylene in it (a chemical in ski jackets). That Vape actually tasted like a ski jacket... like I was smoking plastic! When I asked her if theirs tasted like plastic she pointed to a sign on the wall saying, "no it only contains these organic ingredients". Well guess what, totally tastes like plastic... disgusting chemical, plastic taste! 60$ in the garbage!! Who knew "only organic ingredients" would taste like your smoking a tire!Been to other dispensaries where they took their time, gladly explained everything thoroughly, had a reasonable supply, and the stuff they sold was actually good quality! Do not waste your money here!!!

Had a great experience with folks on the floor - informative, passionate, and welcoming.  As a college town dispensary, I was told that product moves quickly in and out of the store.  It came as a shock when I got home to find that the pre rolled products were about a year old and mislabeled.  Management was not helpful or apologetic about the situation.

I wanted to like this place.  Online said they had what I was looking for. When we got there, it actually was not available so that was disappointing.  Also when we pulled in, the person who first greeted us shouted "I cannot approach the car until everyone has a face covering on" which was off putting and aggressive and made us feel like lepers.  The military language was odd.  The whole this was just strange.

It is too bad that rise decided to shut down their recreational sales. I shopped here many time and loved the product but I guess they put the kabash on that. Not a good way to treat returning patrons.

I showed up with my son (also medical patient) 30 THIRTY minutes before they close.  We were the only ones there.  Looking at the menu in the car I get confronted by the  door guy "can I help you with something?", I said I was looking at the menus. He asked if we were recreational?  Um no we are medical. Real friendly like.  So as we go in we tell him we are both new patients.  He says " that's going to be a big problem!"  Huh??We go in, he calls back to the manager and says we have two new patients.   ALL I HEAR FROM THE BACK IS " JESUS CHRIST!!!".  I explain to the man if that's their level of customer service we will keep our money.  JERKS!   Then at the car I get mad and go back to talk to the "manager".   Well the "manager" is the one who yelled "JESUS CHRIST!"   I ask her if she's the one and she says it was about something else.  LoL!!! So I explain that this is not acceptable behavior and they shouldn't treat new customers like this.   Her only response was "Do you want to buy product or not?"   Are you kidding me???!!!  DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!  There are plenty of dispensaries that actually like their customers!

My experience here was positive. Staff was helpful but also gave me enough space to take my time and scroll through options on their tablet. I like that you can go through products and see reviews which pertain to areas of focus (ie- I came in for an indica to help with sleep, and there were ratings which indicated that). My only complaint is I wish they had a bit more options for flower and pre rolls.

Great place but if you close before 7 you should really tell people instead of advertising that you stay open until 7. Closing before 7 and at 7 are completely different. But I do recommend people going there.

Favorite dispensary in Amherst! Everytime I visit RISE the staff are very friendly and helpful! They have many great choices to pick from and the prices are great. The dispensary is also always very clean! I definitely recommend everyone to shop at RISE Amherst!!

Very nice! The facility is spacious and minimalist, and the staff are very accommodating and cordial. Professional, but with a down-to-earth vibe!

Five stars for product quality and helpfulness of staff. I never have a bad experience while I’m here and they always seem to be in stock of everything. The location is also super convenient. If I could make a small critique though. Some of the staff is so overly friendly it’s hard for me to come inside. I understand that this is an odd thing to critique but hear me out. I sometimes I can’t even speak because I have five people who immediately swarm me to compliment, speak over each other, suggest new product, etc. I have such bad social anxiety it makes the process painful and ironically I use marijuana for anxiety. It’s difficult to get the product I want when so many of your staff is commenting on my appearance all at once and the products that I chose. I started going to MAC because it’s quiet. Again this isn’t a bad thing but maybe management told the younger staff to be this aggressive?? Otherwise keep up the good work!

The staff are not just responsible in following the necessary protocols, they're also super polite while they do it! The interior of the shop is also super chill (the exterior is beautifully painted, too), and they have touch-screen kiosks inside to browse their menu in case you want to see what they have on offer, as well as some display cases. When I went up to the counter, the young woman operating the register was super helpful in explaining their products, and even though I did have to check the touch-screen menu a couple of times to make sure I was buying what I wanted, the cashier was very patient in waiting for me. I can very much recommend this place if you're looking for great service.
