Absolute trash. Called for 5 hours without response drove over an hour told I had to create an account. With over 2 hours of the store closing and they turned me away. Prices are taxed anyways. Better off finding your buddy down the street.
Sunnyside is all around bad with shady employees.
This place is so freaking nasty. All they care about is that $$$$. They don't care of a medical patient can purchase their product or not. They want to sell more rec instead of helping patients. Glad I switched to another dispo
Quick, smooth, and a present transaction. Some of the surrounding dispensary's could learn a thing or two. They appreciate there clients, others I've been to seem to take customers for granted.
First thing I see when I walk inside is the guard with his mask down. And he was flirting with the females with his mask down. Otherwise I like this business. They have a nice selection and staff is friendly. They have a good order online and pickup system that seems to get people in and out fairly quickly. I'll come back and upgrade my review when I don't see the security breaking face mask mandates and using his job to be creepy to young ladies.
As a veteran with PTSD I drove an hour and a half expecting to be able to get my meds. I arrived 2 and a half hours before they were supposed to close. After waiting a little while in line they come out and say they wont see any more people for the day. Mind you this is 2 hours before they're supposed to close. There are a million places this place can update their information on so.people dont waste hours in a car or in line and they refuse.Places like this will not survive once more shops pop up and they started with the upperhand.
Really disappointed in my visit. Went around 4:40pm 1/11/2020. It was my first time trying a dispensary. I could say the process was organized and the police officers were very polite. They kindly escorted us to the actual dispensary. It's a process, you have to sign a order sheet and show your Id to get scanned. All in all about 15-20 min. This was when it turned for the worse. When we finally got to the desk to get our products, Christiana, took care of us. She had a horrible attitude. Other budtenders were explaining the products and giving them tons of useful information. Don't understand why she didn't have any knowledge of the products and why the demeanor that she didn't want to be there.Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Maybe hire people with more of a friendly personality and knowledgeable of what they're selling.
This place when from 5 start to 0 if that was possible.I understand that there is the shortage but I thought you knew what's coming and you have to ready for it bad management And service from serving pizza for first month for those who waited 2 hr or more in lines to treating you like you are freaking dirt on the floor. And yes times now not the best (corona) but we still humans.P.S. I got treated like sh**t on my BDAY !!!!LAST Time in that company.
I went here with my mother. Its funny that the employees working gave the people in front of us a cool water bottle and the ones behind us one- but not us- as if we were not cool enough to have one- My mom even asked about it and was told that the marketing department selectively chose people to get them... right in front of us- thats fine. There are tons of other stores and we will go to them since that experience felt shady.
Don't waste your time at this place! Absolutely the worst dispensary in this state. Beware, if you pre order they will sell the product you ordered before you arrive, even though they clearly state you have until the end of day to pick up.
I started getting my cannabis from FloraMedex the month they opened. Loved them. All of the employees and the owner. Cresco bought it and now it sucks. All of the employees that helped me for years were suddenly disposable. I've gone on to Columbia care instead.
The African American girl that is working right now (3:30pm 1/11/20) has the absolute WORST customer service and attitude. They couldn't have found a less friendly or less knowledgeable person. Their customer service used to be amazing before recreational weed was legal. I don't know what happened, these people are horrible and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
The round trip for my Lyft was about $25. Sunnyside Dispensary would not let me in the door, because my Illinois state issued drivers license would not scan on their machine. Why wouldn't it scan? Who knows. They didn't know. I don't know. It is clean, valid, and not expired. It does not appear to have any blemishes. I have used it at other dispensaries recently with no issues. The security guys were perfectly nice, and I recognize there isn't anything they can do. They did attempt to clean my ID with sanitizer, so I appreciate that. I can only assume that the ID scanning machine is defective. This may not be the fault of any person, but when a valid customer is rejected due to faulty equipment, that's an automatic 1 star review. I would go back with my passport, but that would cost another $25 round trip on Lyft, and for all I know my passport might not scan either.
I really enjoyed my trip to Sunnyside. The staff was very friendly and location was bright and clean. They seemed to be well organized and took care of me right away.
They got better. A month later and they got vapes and carts at the end of the week. Now a 5.While this place is no longer crawling with tax payer supported security (cops), is clean, full of friendly people, and moves fast, they never have any flower. They also are out of stock of cartridges a lot of the time. They're decently priced but good luck finding what you want here. They always seem to have edibles and capsules and the like, but that's pretty niche. So if that's your thing consider this review a 5. They really hit every beat a store needs to here besides, you know, having the stuff you want to buy there
Love this location. Great manager and staff here always friendly and helpful! Despite the huge turn out with recreational they are really running things pretty smooth Thanks again Sunnyside
I Went with my wife and I don't know what happened but I got the crabbiest lady ever..Prices are decent .. nice inside ..
If you are a younger customer (21) expect to get harassed by the security. I was told my Id couldn't scan and there was nothing else they could do. And after speaking to a "manager" it's the state not the machine. Then suddenly it went through. Definitely will not be returning after today's trip after going constantly for months.
Very patient people! I was a first time buyer and I was having issues with my debit card. They were very patient and understanding while I was trying to pay. Front security was kind. Super easy to order online! Overall great experience. The manager (i think manager, young hispanic male) was very kind and helpful. The young man with longer curly hair at checkout was outstanding! I asked what a shaker is and he was knowledgable and informative. Awesome!
Great location with plenty of parking, employees are knowledgable and attentive. Plenty of room in the store for social distancing and every employee and patron had a mask on. Pricey but better than the city taxes.
As if the bad parking wasnt terrible enough, it gets worse once ur lucky enough to even find a spot. You'd be surprised that somebody might spend a million dollars to open this but cant even stock products. I mean this shop is the definition of a nick nac store. Who's gonna drive and waste their time for a candy or maybe a soda. I mean stock some real products like concentrates. With this location the consistency just isnt there. I have shopped here many times and only was successful once. In a way this place is built around a pirate's luck
The design and set up of this dispensary is amazing. This place is high end and I've been to places in Colorado and Las Vegas and nothing compares to FloraMedex. The "buying area" consists of big long tables with computer monitors. You sit down and view the current menu and then decide. The staff are there and very helpful. I was a customer a year or so ago and unfortunately I never saw more than 2 other people (clients) in the store. I moved to another location, Moca, as I live in Logan Square and FloraMedex would be a 45 min drive. The ambiance in Moca is primitive at best compared this place.
Recreational users: FORGET IT. They have NO FLOWER!!! Another inept operation. Same as sunnyside in Chicago, obviously no due diligence in preparing for the recreational market. AND THEY'RE OWNED BY A MAJOR PLAYER IN THE STATE??!! Dumb. Been to dispensaries in west suburbs.....no problems, 15 minute waits, sufficient stock of flower. I guess these guys simply don't care enough to get it right.
Look at all these 1 star reviews from oblivious idiots who clearly are recreational who thought that it wasn't going to be sold out, most of these reviews are post 2020, what did you expect? Dispensary has been great, like legit anyone with a brain can figure out the demand wasn't going to be there for recreational users.
I have Fibromyalgia- and did NOT have Med Card to purchase product. The line was very very long. I explained I am on S.S. because of my conditions & could not stay in line for 2 hours, but i would try. About a 1/2 hour later, a man approached me, asking if I was the lady on S.S. For disability I told him yes, he asked if i could prove i was on SS I showed him my medicare/medicaid card. He said follow me. He walked me from the very long line, to the medical card line, told me I had to get a medical card. This was a one shot deal. The entire staff couldn't be nicer. I am impressed with the knowledge of the people behind the counters and those who tend the lines. Very professional.. and TY to the guy who got me through the line FAST. I am very thankful and appreciative.
Great service, very very sanitized! So glad they are providing the community with cannabis during the pandemic. Thank you.
Staff is great, very friendly and engaging. Their in house brand Cresco is produced very well. Their concentrates offer great flavor to some of the very product experienced in places like Colorado. Unfortunately prices are very steep compared to other states. A good chunk of this is due to state tax but its hard to to justify the big price range differences of $30 a gram in Colorado to $80-84 a gram in Illinois.
Great place! The overall process from placing my order online to going to the shop to pick up was smooth and quick. I've been to several dispensaries and sunnyside Elmwood by far is the best! Kevin assisted me he was great! He was so knowledge on the product and has such great customer service! I love going to a place and being welcomed so kindly.
I am a fan of this place, it's convenient but their prices are at little high. I only really go here for carts. I'm not sure if oak park/Chicago has cheaper taxes but both dispensary's in those locations have cheaper products, some even less. Sunnyside is slowly increasing their prices. For example, the 300 mg disposable good news pens at this location used to be $40, now it's $44 at s.s EP. in oak park you can get the same one for $35. (Tax not included for either locations) ....consume in Chicago sells 500mg vape pens for $75 online with tax included so your never surprised by how much you pay which I love! (As soon as you look on the consume website, the tax is already included in their products so no surprise tax when you hit checkout! " At sunnyside, I'm always paying at least $80-$90 for a 500mg pen. This is a nice place, friendly employees but will not give it 5 starts due to the prices, especially since I have seen the prices increase over time.
I feel like the rest of these post for Sunnyside is just impatient people. If you're recreational then expect a line anywhere you go ! And as for the limited stock it's first come first serve basically. All of the workers seemed super nice and super knowledgeable!
If you are looking to wait 60 minutes to be able to buy 2 products, this is the place for you. GM boosted about all the new products but you are not allowed to even buy the state allotment. Last time ever going there!
Horrible beyond horrible classic Illinois it's February 9th and every shop is out of product...plus it's 65$ an 1/8th you're robbing patients, did you guys not plan for this? No wonder people are moving to cheaper and legal states
Don't waste your time. What a complete joke. They don't answer the phone which I suspected. No return phone calls. Sold out and drove all the way down to there for nothing. Sold out. At least answer the phone or post something that states SOLD OUT. They weren't even sure when they would have product in - maybe a week but no specifics. Not returning there for sure. Waste of time and gas.
a rec user but dont u think it's kind of unethical that a store sells out of medicine for the medical patients that actually need the shit? I feel like in a typical grab for wealth corporate greed set in and instead of catering to those who need medicinal you've allowed your shops to sell everything just so you could be one of the first to actually sell recreational. The medicinal program is the whole entire reason you even have a job in the first place. Otherwise youd be exploiting some other vulnerable community just like big pharma does. The way your company I'd conducting itself is reminiscent of Martin Shkreli. Find something someone needs exploit it massively more than what is reasonably ethical for a huge profit. Even more so instead of waiting 4 or 5 months to actually have enough for everyone you turn your medicinal stores into what amounts to a bar. My mother is medicinal. Your people insisted that certain products would be inaccessible to anyone other than medical patients. Meanwhile the store is sold out of mostly everything. There was also a limit for buying 7 grams however on opening day for recreational your location in elmwood park sold half ounces to recreational customers. Is this the type of stigma you want people to associate your company with?
They NEVER update their website so if you aren't a regular you wouldn't know this. Don't waste your time between 2:30pm-2:45pm daily, they're closed for COVID cleaning, even though people are still coming out that aren't employees. Only mention is this little sign in the door. Sunnyside sucks!
One of the very few things I miss about living in San Diego was how accessible weed was. I'm talking as easy placing an online pizza order, with delivery to boot! I know we're a long way off from that here and I am counting myself lucky that IL made it legal at all. Praise be Stoner Jesus, floating through heaven on a cloud of his own pot smoke.Anyway, I was impressed with Sunnyside, especially because they had a valet. Fancy! The police officers were very cordial and there was an ATM in the lobby. Of course they were out of a lot of stuff because it's like 2 months after it legalized and no one is growing shit in this winter weather. I got a vape cartridge and a bag of gummies for $90ish. Not bad.Service was also good, and I look forward to seeing what other cool stuff they will have to offer in the coming months!
Usually a good pleasure to do business with - been here dozens of times. But the guy working the entrance today at 4pm was a complete d-bag - eying me up like he wanted to fight or something. I'm 57 years old and don't need that. Everyone else has been great
A very positive experience. Ryan was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with the products I was purchasing. The location in Elmwood Park, follows COVID guidelines. Have your online order number and ID ready when you enter. Very clean and the employees were very professional and friendly.A special shoutout to RYAN!
Just run and save your money there customer service is the worst despicable excuse for customer service I've ever seen in my entire life save yourself the frustration of dealing with these rude ass people
Security at the door refused to let me enter because she didn't like my attitude...then she lied and claimed I refused to show her my license which I did I only wanted my medicine but for some reason it was made difficult
Selling recalled product after being made aware. Bad place.
By far the worst dispensary in Illinois. Staff treats customers like garbage. Go anywhere else they all have similar prices and inventory anyway.
I want to highlight this location and it's team. Been here probably once before and the manager recognized me and said Hello. They also have all the top shelf hear you'd want in one store for best choice and sound decision making when deciding what will make your life the easiest with consuming in question. Most dispensaries sell out fast of gear and such due to lack of mathematical predictions but not this team, they're all ready to go! Keep up the hard work as the holidays are around and more people will rely on your store to bring the sunshine to their mornings and days ahead. Cheers
I'm guessing the negative reviews and stars are from the annoying types of customers that walk into a place without having any knowledge of what they want and ask 8 millions questions once they're there. Like the people that drive up to a McDonald's drive thru and hold up the line and stare at the menu in confusion as if they don't already know what McDonald's has to offer. This place is as simple as can be. You place your order online, walk in and check-in, then you're placed in a certain line to pick up and pay for your order. You're literally in and out in sometimes less than 5 minutes. Simple, easy and everyone there is super chill and polite.
Bathroom was out of order so imma have to subtract a ⭐, but still well beyond 5*'s overall anyways. Great people great service. Great prices
I went to get my order and the associate helping me Kayla k , was very knowledgeable and friendly. This location has been the best compared to the surrounding locations. Hope she wants to stay at this location as long as she wants to work for the company.
So great staff always super friendly. I’m actually making this review because both me and husband smoke but I can’t just use my account and send him to go get because of the names. So maybe in the future make it where you can write who’s picking up the order so you guys can still take that order and we don’t need multiple account
Efficient and welcoming. I placed my order online before making my way and it was ready instantly. I arrived around lunch time expecting a wait, but there was 0 line and plenty of available kiosks to check out. Everyone there was welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Kim was a big help in finding product to bring me to a certain price range for a discount, and super friendly! Will definitely come here instead of the busy Chicago location from now on.
This place was fast and informative about what they had to offer. Walking in did not take long at all even from out of state. The prices were good and the service fast. I recommend if you ever come to Chicago.
Sunnyside* is a new kind of medical and recreational cannabis shop offering adults 21+ a friendly place to explore high-quality marijuana products to improve everyday wellness.
